The previous reviews and pictures were misleading. The house is cute and the area nice and well maintained. But the house was not in the best condition as per arrival: dirty dishes and utensils in the kitchen, dirty bathroom rugs, dirty and smelly duvets and mattresses. The cleaning lady came quickly was nice and friendly and gave us her personal duvet to use. Also it’s important to let people know beforehand that there are NO bedsheets, linen and towels at the house. You have to either bring your own. (Really for the price you pay…it’s not a youth hostel) Or you have to rent everything from an external store for an extra 450,- Euro!!! Also important to know that there is NO WIFI available at the house therefore impossible to work from home. The terrasse was not really usable because the pine tree left a sticky debris that made it impossible to even walk on the floor or use the chairs and table for an outdoor breakfast etc. During this period of time it obviously needs more and proper maintenance. All of that might not matter as much if you stay for a couple of days or want a complete digital detox. But we were there for 18 days and it was quite inconvenient. So in total we were overall disappointed. The house really didn’t represent itself in the best way possible.

First impressions were very good and we thought that the photos did not do the property justice.
The location while being a bit of a walk to the center / beaches was excellent being on a picturesque, quiet canal.
The local residents ferry is a great help once you get the passes.
The view from the house onto the canal was wonderful but was completely spoiled when a boat was moored right across the front of the house totally obscuring our view of the canal. If we were to rent this property again we would want assurances that our view of the canal would be open at all times. This boat was removed at our request.
Four good sized bedrooms, 3 of which overlook the canal. Bathrooms / toilets and showers are adjacent to all bedrooms with a toilet / shower on the ground floor.
Good sized well equipped kitchen.
The outside patio ( 11mts x 5mts approx ) with an added grassy area to the side of the canal was brilliant, with adequate but slightly antiquated furniture. We were a bit concerned that the blue chairs to the table would collapse when ever we sat on them.
It was very hot when we were there and there was no aircon / cooling fans, we had to go out and buy two for the childrens rooms.
We also had to buy a hair dryer.
Wi-fi would have been appreciated.
A welcome / information pack would have been helpful.
Would we recommend this holiday rental?, yes we would.
Would we stay there again, definitely. ( with reservations )
