Great location, clean property, excellent amenities, helpful hosts. Ideal for exploring Aix and nearby areas, with spacious rooms and convenient parking. Highly recommended for a comfortable stay.

We have been travelling for 2 1/2 months in Europe and this apartment was our favourite. Georges was really good at communicating with us right from the time we booked. He came to meet us when we arrived and gave us an introduction to the apartment and the area. He was great! The location is excellent - just down the road from the old town. The parking is literally right outside the front door. The apartment is very modern with all the amenities and the whole place just has a welcoming feel to it. Air con is awesome (we needed it!), The only slight oddity was the showers - the one downstairs is very small/cramped and the one upstairs is over the bath but it's hand held and there is no shower curtain so you actually have to sit in the bath to have a shower. But, honestly - that was a minor - the apartment was fantastic and we would definitely stay there again.

Georges greeted us at the apartment and took time to show us all three levels and help get our bags inside. He was very personable and friendly and helpful with getting us oriented to the area. He speaks some English but prefers to converse in French if that is doable. Happily one of us could do that! There was a bottle of Rosé awaiting us as well as some butter cookies. Georges was responsive to texts during our stay and helped us reserve a taxi to get back to the train station which was about a half hour ride.
The apartment was very clean and pretty well stocked. I will say it would be challenging for anyone with mobility issues as there are a lot of stairs. The entrance level had a bedroom and bathroom. The 2nd level was the living area, half bath, laundry, kitchen and dining room table. There was a balcony on this level and also on the top floor bedroom with a lovely view of the area.
The area was very safe and was a short 5 minute walk to the center of town. There were wonderful outdoor markets on Tuesday’s and Thursday’s as well as great shopping of all kinds and lots of great restaurants. And it was very easy to connect to other tours and sites from there. If you’re there in lavender season, be sure to see the lavender fields!
So overall, a great space and location that I would definitely recommend.

We were delighted with the property as it was very clean, as described and in an ideal location to walk around historic Aix en Provence. The host was very welcoming and helpful. The location is ideal to visit other local highlights such as Gordes.

This was an amazing property situated perfectly with access to the city center, parking which was key, and easy access to get out of town when desired. The apartment appears minimalist in the photos but in fact it has everything needed for a stay in Aix. Even a terrace for an apero in the evenings! And there’s a great restaurant just a few steps away from the door. George and his wife were fantastic hosts. We will return here next time we are in Aix!

We had a lovely stay in Aix and this apartment was a highlight. The location was perfect - nicely located away from the hubbub of the center but just a five minute walk away. The apartment was clean and well-stocked and Georges was a wonderful host, providing great suggestions about places to visit and meeting us upon arrival to orient us to the unit. Highly recommended!

Excellent location and outstanding, safe and secure onsite parking in front of the house. Walking to dinner, restaurants, markets and bars within 10 minutes. Georges home was central for our excursions to Cassis, Avignon and other fascinating and interesting drives in our Alfa Romeo Molodia. Highly recommend. Very responsive and congenial host. Thank you for sharing your lovely space!

I stayed for over 2 weeks while attending a language course. The house is great for one or two, and unlike many older buildings, is very bright, with large windows in both the bedroom and the living room. The house has a bedroom/bathroom on the street level (the least desirable option), a LR, dining area, kitchen and laundry room with both washer and dryer on the 2nd level and a bedroom/bathroom on the top floor. The kitchen is well equipped with modern appliances, and a good size fridge. There is a large TV and good sound system in the LR. The upstairs bedroom is very large, with tons of closet space, and the bathroom is well equipped and spacious by European standards. I had no problem with hot water or water pressure. The owner, Georges, was a pleasure to deal with. Communication before I arrived was always very prompt, he accommodated my early arrival - I was able to check in around 11AM, and he was in touch within minutes regarding a few issues while I was there. He even drove me to the airport when I left - which was very kind of him. The location is ideal - just up a 2-block slope from the centre of the old town and just off the main ring road on a quiet small square with several restaurants within minutes. Shopping was easy, with so many specialty shops, the big Monoprix and Aix's many markets all less than 10 minutes away. If I was to return, I'd be happy to stay there again.

Close to center of old city by foot. Quiet at night. Wonderful bath tub. AC in every room. Everything worked from washer dryer wi fi connection and all appliances. Host, Georges, very pleasant to work with.
Note:Two luggage racks would have been appreciated and a chest of drawers. We had to work out of our luggage on the floor.
But this is a very sweet flat!

We really enjoyed being located in the centre of Aix for seven days. The apartment was excellent for those wanting to experience the vibrancy of this city, walking around it with ease. Georges and his daughter were excellent hosts, explaining the apartment amenities and those of the Aix generally. The apartment was very clean and tidy with lots of space to spread out for a long visit and feel at home. The parking outside the apartment was very convenient so we could travel out to other areas of Provence with no difficulty. We highly recommend!

We wish we had booked more time here. The place is large and roomy, clean and exceptionally maintained, and very well furnished with everything we could need. We loved having both a washer and dryer as well as bedrooms on separate levels and having a private parking space/driveway was just so convenient. Although we were in the edge of the Historic City Centre and could easily walk to everything, being able to jump in the car was a pleasant convenience. Our host had everything we needed in the unit and we spent a very comfortable 3 nights but should have spent a week. There was so much more to do in this town then we imagined.

View out the window was of the nearby Palais des Papes. Close to Les Halles and shopping areas. Georges was very attentive and found us a new WIFI hot spot when the DSL stopped working.

Amazing stay in a vibrant city
The location couldn't be more perfect. The apartment was spotlessly clean and very comfortable. Just as depicted online. Walking distance to everything you could wish for. Georges was a great host, very informative and helpful, and very easy to communicate with. Highly recommend a stay here.

Heavenly Vacation
This townhouse is steps away from food, theater, parks and museums. It's on a hill but for 80 euros a shuttle bus will take you around Aix. The walk is easy and quite enjoyable. The 2 bedroom townhouse equipped with all the amenities one could need is well furnished and impeccably clean! George's, the owner is an absolute joy. He welcomes you and makes you feel like this is your home. I have fallen in love with Aix-en-Provence and would love to return again. If I did, I would definitely stay here.

Pros and cons
Booked into this VRBO after leaving Avignon, as part of a tour of Provence. We found this place to have some pros and cons
Pros included:
Georges - extremely helpful, and readily available
Parking - excellent, literally outside the front door
Location - easy walking distance to attractions, restaurants etc
Space - very spacious, with comfortable bed
Cons - we found this particular VRBO to be very much devoid of charm. We had spent time in an absolutely charming apartment in Avignon, and found this apartment to have a 1980s business apartment feel.
In summary, lots of good points, but it just did not gel with us for our Provencal vacation
In summary, good value, good location, helpful management, but don't look for too much by way of charm and elegance.
I'd say an excellent space for someone traveling with a family, or maybe looking for a place to make a long stay

Perfect City Hideaway!
The stay George's place in Aix was spectacular! Our train was delayed and came in late on a Sunday night and George even picked us up from the train station! He took us to the flat and showed us everything we needed to know. The place was exceptionally neat and tidey. We were even greeted with a bottle of Rose in the fridge. The place has everything you need for your stay and is very central to anywhere you need to go.shaving our parking spot turned out to be a huge benefit. The kitchen is equipped with what you need to cook meals, washed dryer are sufficene, master bedroom is fantastic . Comfortable large bed. The only downside really is there is just a bath no shower. Really just needs a shower curtain and good to go! But a very nice bath tub. If going back to Ai x i would not waste my time looking for somewhere else to stay.

House Miollis May 2018 Review
This VRBO has a great location and very good amenities. The unit is spotlessly clean and comfortable. Good beds. Washer and dryer work well. A bit away from the noise of the city center but close enough for an easy walk. The unit's private parking place is a BIG plus. The owner is a delight. Highly recommended.

Very nice, comfortable house in a great location.
The outside look of this house isn't the prettiest, but don't be put off! Firstly, the location is ideal with all of admittedly small Aix at your doorstep while not being right in amongst the bars and restaurants, which can be noisy into the early hours. Right outside the property however, you'll find a nice brasserie that can be handy if you just want to pop out and chill.
We had a very friendly reception from the owner, who showed us around the three floors of the property as well as giving us some tips on what to do and where to go in Aix. As we arrived a little late, it was also nice to find a cold bottle of rose waiting in the fridge! Overall the house interior is simply, but tastefully, decorated and very clean. The whole place is air conditioned and tiled throughout.
The ground floor has a double bedroom with an ensuite as you enter the house followed by a staircase up to the 1st floor. The bedroom is spacious enough for a short stay and has storage. The ensuite has a shower and the usual fittings and fixtures. Perfect for a couple or a couple of kids.
Upstairs on the 1st floor you have a lounge/diner, utility room come WC and separate kitchen. The lounge is good for 4 or 5 at a push with cable TV, DVD and a good sized dining table. Not huge, but fine for most purposes. There is a small balcony, but you can't really sit on it. The utility room has a washing machine, toilet/sink and stores various cleaning materials. The kitchen is compact, but managed a small table and all the standard white goods (i.e. dishwasher, oven, gas hob, microwave and fridge with small freezer). All the other kit is generally plain and functional and more than adequate to prepare simple meals.
Taking the stairs up to the second floor reveals a master bedroom with pseudo adjoining bathroom and several storage cupboards with iron, board and drier. The bedroom is very spacious with a king bed and wardrobes. It has a large balcony with a four seater table outside. The bathroom is just off a small hallway and is a good size and has a bath with hand held shower fitting, sink, toilet and bidet. All in good condition with storage. A minor complaint is that showering can be awkward and you need to be careful not to soak the room!
I'd thoroughly recommend this property for a small family or a pair of couples. The bedrooms at the top and bottom of the house provide some privacy for parents or couples too!

Lovely house in Aix
This house is very well situated, just a few minutes walk from the Cours Mirabeau.
The house is very well equipped, and with welcome air conditioning for July days.
The bedroom on the top floor has its own balcony to view the Life of Place Miollis.
The bottom, ground floor bedroom, is somewhat smaller.
The middle floor is a comfortable lounge and well-appointed.kitchen
Before you arrive, phone the owner Georges
to agree a time for him to meet you at the house ...
he is a charming and helpful host.

wonderful base for visiting Aix and surrounding area
We had a great week here. The house is ideally located for walking around the old city of Aix, and the availability of a parking space allows for easy trips to the surrounding area by car. Everything works well and the house is well-equipped. Georges was very kind and helpful in welcoming and orienting us. The location is quiet and calm at night. As others have mentioned, the only downside is that a lot of students tend to hang out in the square in front of the house during the week days, which can be a little loud, but this wasn't a big deal, especially because we were out exploring during the daytime. More importantly, the location seems quite safe and is perfectly positioned for access to Cours Mirabeau and the rest of Aix.

Great spot!
We just returned home from a wonderful 2 week stay at Miollis House. We were a party of two couples and loved this clean, well lit and fully equipped apartment. I have used VRBO for years and this place made our trip relaxing, easy and very enjoyable. We could walk to the center of Aix in 2 minutes which allowed each of us to have some freedom of coming and going without using a car. George was a great host. He was available when we couldn't get the TV to work, gave us good tips for things to do and places to eat as well as being a fun and energetic person :) Our only negative (which is not George's fault) is that the close proximity to the city center also makes for a lot of noise in the evenings and early mornings. There is a high school around the corner so many teenagers were gathering before school and in the evenings. Nothing that a pair of earplugs couldn't fix.
Thanks George for making our special vacation a real treat.
We would definitely stay here again and recommend this apartment to others. Our only negative

A warm welcome from the owner, Georges; a comfortable flat in a good location
Georges gave us a warm welcome and was very helpful in showing us around the flat, which is extremely comfortable, well-equipped and situated in a good location in the quiet Place Miollis a few hundred metres from the end of the Cours Mirabeau. The Place is well served by bus services which could drop you at the centre of town if you did not want to walk in the heat of the day, or which connect with other routes from La Rotonde. Access by bus to the Archives Nationales, where we worked for a few days, was easy and relatively quick. In Place Miollis is a marvellous bistro/restaurant, No.29, which is operated by a delightful owner, who was open, friendly and sociable. The food was pretty good too! All in all, a very enjoyable and rewarding stay. We would certainly go back to Georges' flat. Roy & Julia

Wonderful stay
We had a very nice stay in this house with two couples for 4 nights. The kitchen and living area were extremely comfortable and it was great to sit on the balconies. The area is very walkable but having parking is also great! Highly recommend.

Great place and location. Balcony great for coffe
Our first time in Aix where our daughter had been studying at the Institute. Great location just up the hill a short walk from the center of things. Loved the balcony for morning coffee and a glass of wine in the evening. The apartment was bright and clean and lots of space and new appliances. Georges was a great host and was there waiting for us despite our being delayed driving into town. Would definitely stay here again and will recommend to friends.

Great place and location for two couples or family of 4
We really enjoyed our stay here. The suite was well maintained, very clean and had all the required amenities. We stayed here with another couple. Lots of space for 4 people with 2.5 bathrooms, one with a bathtub and one with a small shower. Georges was great and gave us some good restaurant recommendations. Can walk to the center of town within 5 minutes.

Perfect home in centre of Aix
The Miollis house was perfect for our recent stay in Aix en Provence. Inside, it is spacious, clean and very well equipped, with two comfortable bedrooms, both en suite. The living areas are airy and open and it was very easy to settle into the rhythm of living in the house. Location-wise it couldn't be better. It is five minutes walk from the Cours Mirabeau and various museums, but at the same time is in its own little corner of Aix - a fountained square with a friendly bistro next door. The main picture of the front of the house does not quite do the location justice - sitting on the top balcony on a warm evening and looking out on the picturesque square below was a delight. Parking is very easy, a rarity in Aix. Georges for his part couldn't have been a more generous host. He was friendly and helpful and on hand if needed, and has a wealth of knowledge about the town and surrounding area. In all, we would recommend this house very highly and hope to return sooner rather than later. Matt, Deirdra and Dara

Charming host, great space and fantastic location!
Our stay in Aix was really amazing. We could walk to everywhere from the apartment and there is even a cute lunch spot right next door. The apartment was cute and well appointed and George the host was prompt to meet us and very helpful. The only minor draw back is that there are lots of students who hang in the circle outside the apartment, which could get noisy at times. Otherwise - no complaints and I hope we get to visit Aix again - such a charming town!

Pleasant, comfortable, convenient apartment
We enjoyed our 4 day stay at La Maison de Miollis. The apartment is darling - well designed, with no wasted space. Very comfortable, with plenty of storage. It is very conveniently located, just a short, easy walk to the Cours Mirabeau and center of town. We enjoyed our stay in Aix-en-Provence. We especially enjoyed the Atelier Cezanne (Cezanne's studio) - so interesting - definitely listen to the audio guide, and the Musee Granet. Georges is a gracious and helpful host. We appreciated his recommendations, especially dinner at Le Formal - Cave Henri IV. It was a wonderufl experience! We also did a day trip to Cassis on the Mediterranean Coast - it was stunning, and easy to drive there from Aix. We appreciated being able to park our car directly in front of the apartment. The car was unneeded while visiting the sites of Aix, but handy for our excursion out of town. Our last evening we enjoyed wine and a simple dinner on the balcony, overlooking the Place. Thank you to George for an enjoyable visit!
