Take a trip down memory lane with this classic 70's beach house, away from the town centre and in its own aura of peace and quiet with a picturesque ocean outlook. A spacious garden surrounds the property. With 2 comfortable bedrooms upstairs and a rumpus/third bedroom downstairs, this older style home features open living and established comfort with a price to match.

It is important to understand this property is a holiday rental, not a shared space or principle place of residence, which ensures you privacy and quiet enjoyment. It is also professionally managed, giving you peace of mind of 24/7 support by a local, just around the corner.
Pricing is based around seasons, length of stay and number of guests. It is important all bookings reflect the exact number of guests. If this changes, you must contact us. Unless otherwise previously agreed, all stays must only be used for private residential usage and to accommodate the number of guests stated on your booking. Unless ‘Pets Welcome’ is advertised, the property is strictly no pets.
All holiday accommodation bookings are accepted on the basis that all occupants will treat the property with the same respect as their own home in accordance with the “House Rules”. Noise audible outside the property is prohibited between 10pm and 8am.

Beautiful views
Lovely retro house with fantastic views. Well equipped kitchen, comfortable lounge. Bedrooms very good sizes. Driveway difficult to find - can only be accessed via Deans-Marsh road, not on Smithers Street . Only suggestion is to have the house a little cleaner, especially the windows facing the view and the bathroom. Otherwise fantastic, we had a wonderful stay.

Great location, good value for money
We have stayed here for 10 days or so for the same time in January for the past 10 years. It's a great place to relax. It has plenty of space and most essentials. It's the perfect distance from town, a nice walk but not too close.

Execellent
I have booked the Retro Retreat for the same time for the past 9 years. It has a great view, lots of space and its retro feel is part of the charm. I'm not a five star hotel person, and the property has everything I and my family want or need (since adding a good BBQ about 6 years ago). I book it for a week over summer. It is old, and like most Lorne properties, about 300 meters up a hill. Overall, we love it. It has a great balcony, with a view across the bay and to the pier and there is generally plenty of cockatoos and kookaburras.

Beautiful ocean views
We enjoyed our stay at the Retro Retreat. It was spacious and the furnishings suited the period it intended which gave the place a homely atmosphere. The driveway was a little cumbersome and difficult to find in the beginning. Overall, we had a comfortable stay with a lovely view of the ocean from our bedroom window and balcony.

This was a really cool house. It had heaps of space for everyone and even though it's older we loved the retro feel.
