This amazing penthouse, located in South Mission Beach, offers stunning views in a great location. This is the perfect place to host a family vacation or enjoy a quiet retreat with friends.

Located at the southern tip of Mission Beach, this property is ideally situated for ocean front views without all the craziness of the boardwalk. The beach leads all the way to the front of the house, and it is only a few minutes' walk to the ocean. The bay is even closer – less than a 2 minute walk. There is easy access to parks, playgrounds, basketball courts, volleyball courts, and the boardwalk. Sea World is only a 5 minute drive away.
This is a four bedroom single-story condo on the top floor of the building. There is elevator and stair access. The kitchen is fully stocked with all dishware, utensils, cookware, and modern, new appliances including a Keurig and regular drip coffee machine. There is also a washer and dryer in the home. Parking is a breeze with two reserved spots in the secure underground garage (parking spots are 8' 3" inches wide and 16' long with a 6.5' height clearance). Linens, bath towels, and beach towels are all included. All you need are your personal toiletries.
The living room has a large flat screen TV and digital cable. There is a propane powered BBQ on the living room balcony.
Two of the bedrooms have king beds. One of the bedrooms has a queen bed. The fourth bedroom has two sets of bunk beds: one is a twin-over-twin, the other is a twin-over-full. There are also 2 queen-sized plush air mattresses available as well as a twin-sized cot. The condo sleeps 12 comfortably.

The spacious penthouse easily accommodated our party of 6 adults and 2 young children. The location allowed easy access to beaches on both the ocean and the bay sides. Becky was very responsive to our requests, including sending out a window cleaner to clean the burd mess on the picture window. Aside from the airplane noise, it was a fabulous stay.

Just completed a fantastic week at the property. Incredible views - perfect amenities, close to everything, yet secluded from the Memorial Day madness.
Views were more than expected, enjoyed watching the ships come in and saw multiple dolphins and Sea Lions/Seals in the channel!

Everything was wonderful in this beautiful penthouse. The view was to die for. The newly remodeled kitchen was perfect and had everything you could ever need. Bathrooms were remodeled and so nice. Beds were comfortable. The only downside we noticed was some of the floors were really sandy under bare feet and my daughter was wiping up something off the floor and the damp paper towel she used was black when she was done. We tried it on other spots in the living room and it was the same. A few spiderwebs around the lamps too. Other than that we loved it and highly recommend it to anyone with a large group.

Our family of 6 all met for an early Thanksgiving in San Diego. There are three dogs between us so this beautiful, dog friendly place as ideal with enough rooms/bed for the whole family. The penthouse is worth it for the view and location. The house is well stocked with kitchen items if you are cooking and plenty of sitting. We will differently be back.

This place has stunning views, is beautifully designed, and everything feels new and works well. The owner Dana is very communicative, quick to reply, and accommodating. Everything you could need is right here: the beach toys and storage, the outdoor shower, the great cookware and kitchen supplies, even giant fans of you need an extra breeze. The only downside is the sound of airplanes and people driving down to the beach, but that’s to be expected on this corner slice of Mission Beach.

This is a beautiful house in a perfect beach location! It is even nicer than it looks in the listing! The rooms are spacious, the place has great amenities and the views from the wrap-around windows are fabulous! So close to the beach, shopping and Belmont Park. We met for a girls’ trip. The place is stunning from the moment we walked in with views of the channel and the beach and lovely furnishings. There is lots of seating, two tables and a counter. The kitchen is large and well-equipped. The beds are comfortable and the bathrooms are recently remodeled. We couldn’t have asked for anything more perfect for our three nights there. We walked on the beach and went on short trips to Coronado Island, La Jolla, and the waterfront for a harbor tour and to eat at Seaport Village. Owners were easy to communicate with and eager to have us enjoy our time. There was a plumbing issue in the building and the water had to be turned off. They let us know and gave us a smalll refund.

My family and I truly had the best experience staying at Dana and Becky’s beachfront rental. We created beautiful memories that will last a lifetime. First of all, Dana and Becky are gracious hosts and were accessible the whole week. We had a couple minor issues come up but Dana answered right away when I called and got his team out to the condo to fix the problem. The condo is beautiful, it’s large and looks like it was recently updated. The views of the ocean and bay are the best thing about this place, there are expansive glass windows lining the walls of living room. It created such a serene environment. The condo is well stocked, the owners thought of everything. It was extremely clean. We just felt so comfortable staying there the week. I wish we could have stayed longer but would definitely love to come back and just thankful to Dana and Becky for making it such a special family vacation.

We visited Mission Beach to visit with my daughter who is stationed with the navy, in San Diego.
The property was as advertised. It was clean and well maintained. Fantastic views from almost every room. Location is at the end of the street with easy access to the beach. Only a short drive into town. The owner communicated well and checked in with us upon arrival and departure. Elevator access was very convenient, as I was traveling with my senior mother and younger granddaughters.
Kitchen was well appointed. Seating was comfortable. The faux fireplace was a nice addition as there was a bit of a cold snap during our stay.
Only downside was the parking area was a bit tight, although to be honest I was driving a Ford Excursion, which is tight in most places.
Overall an excellent place. I would consider staying there again.

The unit was as pictured, the kitchen was well stocked and the beds were comfortable. By being at the end of Mission Bay and having a view of the channel, we enjoyed watching the boats go out and we saw dolphins, a sea lion and pelicans. We would definitely stay here again.

We just spent a week in this beautiful condo. It was roomy and spacious for 6 adults and 4 grandchildren ages 8 to 19. The views were amazing and the location was great. We created life long memories. I highly recommend this condo.

Specatular Views!
Gorgeous penthouse apartment. Kitchen had everything we needed. The weather was beautiful 83 degrees, this does make the living area veyr warm with the windows. Walk to beach or bay or just stay and watch the boats, sea lions, kayakers, airplanes from the windows. It did get a little noisy at night with people on the balconies talking til very late. I came with my parents and three siblings for a special trip with just our original 6 family. Treasured time and the place was perfect!

This penthouse was plenary big enough for 9 of us. 2 adults and 7 teenagers. We had a great time. Another review let us know it was not the quietest place which really helped. It is in line with the airplanes taking off which was very noisy. With that said we would still book again. Great place.

Long weekend family getaway
The penthouse offers a beautiful view and it is right at the beach, which is what we were looking for for our family getaway. There were 8 of us celebrating my parents' 80 birthdays, and we fit very comfortably. The owners were terrific, checking in on us to make sure we had everything we needed and accommodating a last minute request. Everything was in working order and clean.
We had not been to Mission Beach in a very long time, and we wished we had checked in with friends/family who would give an honest assessment of the area before we booked. While the location would be really fun for a younger crowd, it was a bit too much of a young party scene for our purposes. It was noisy late at night as parties were going on all around us. I would definitely recommend this property for a younger group unless you are up for the party scene! .

After our Alaskan cruise was cancelled, this became our back up plan. Our family loved our time here, it was wonderful! They had literally everything we needed to cook, and also beach toys and chairs, high chairs, port a cribs. It was truly wonderful.

This property has a great view of the bay and the beach. You can see boats, wave runners, kayakers, and seals . It's also located by a parking lot so there was a lot of commotions on the weekend. Overall it was a great beach getaway.

Perfect staycation
The Ocean Vista Penthouse exceeded our expectations. During these uncertain times, cleanliness has been especially important to us. We appreciate all of the measures taken to help us feel secure - we were provided with extra Clorox wipes, febreeze, laundry detergent, even masks and cleaning supplies and instructions on how to keep sand out of the house. The kitchen was also very well stocked with quality pots, pans, dishes, platters, as well as spices, Saran Wrap, aluminum foil, sandwich bags, plastic cups. The grill was clean & worked well. There were even sand toys and beach chairs in a secured locker downstairs. The view, weather and location could not be beat - we were close to the beach, biking path, volleyball courts, fire pits and the aquatic marina, which we got to enjoy. On Friday & Saturday nights, it can get noisy outside, but we figured that would be the case being so close to a happening nightlife - bring ear plugs if you’re sensitive to noise. All in all, our 3 families that stayed together had a relaxing, wonderful experience and look forward to coming back again!

The house was great. It's in a prime location with access to the Ocean and the Bay. It's also great for people like me who don't want to spend the entire time at the beach. Just sit in the living room and enjoy the view, board going by, etc..

BEAUTIFUL VIEW
Nice condo on 4th floor (top floor) with awesome view! Needs a little updating in my opinion but what you are paying for is the view and convenience of being close to beach and bay. No air conditioning but not needed with the big beautiful windows that open to expose the entire front portion of the condo. Also, very busy street with lots of noise and action... condo is located on a busy corner! Loud music, horns, people yelling etc... It does quiet down after about 10pm. We kept all the windows open for the wonderful fresh ocean breeze and the noise got a little annoying but it did calm down later in the evening (less noise if windows are closed). The Mission Beach area is in the path of San Diego airport and the loud roar/noise from the jets taking off took a little time getting used to. The condo is next to sand but takes about 12 minutes to walk from the condo to ocean/beach area (a nice walk on sand and bike path). The sinks were slow to drain and the garbage disposal did not work (minor issues). We did not let the owners know of the issues because we were on vacation and did not want to be interrupted by having service people come in and out while we were there. The couch is uncomfortable and the beds are FIRM!! Again, minor problems and the beautiful view of sailboats, kayakers, paddle boarders, DOLPHINS AND SEALS make up for the couch, beds, noise and other minor issues with the condo. It was wonderful waking up and watching sailboats, seals/dolphins, paddle boarders etc.. while drinking our morning coffee! Penthouse... IT IS NOT! but gorgeous view and convenience of being close to the bay and beach are the reasons we choose to stay at the condo.

We held our family holiday gathering here and it was perfect! Our family ranges from 4 years old to 80 and everyone loved the space and the amazing view. There was room for all 11 of us and the kitchen was equipped to handle our our needs. We definitely recommend highly!
