Cottage #6 at Storm Mountain is a newer handcrafted log and rock cabin nestled in a beautiful meadow on Spring Creek. The cabin is situated right next to Spring Creek. Guests of this cottage will enjoy the creek frontage view right from the hot tub. The cabin features a full spacious kitchen with breakfast bar, loft, great room and patio with picnic table, Hot tub and barbecue grill.

Conveniently located in the Heart of Hills just one mile from Hill City. We are in close proximity to Mt. Rushmore, Crazy Horse, Custer State Park and an excellent variety of restaurants, wineries, breweries and shopping nearby. Cabin is across the highway from China Gulch Road giving easy access to many ATV/UTV/Snowmobile trails,

We were in Hill City for a wedding. The cabin was well stocked, quiet, and had ample parking and a hot tub. It was close enough to town to shop, but far enough out to be peaceful. The hosts were very easy to communicate with. We would stay here again if we are in the area.

The cabin was clean and had everything we needed for our stay. The hot tub was a favorite with the adults and kids. Perfect home for multi-generation family vacation. The creek in the back and the property were beautiful. Close to Hill City and all the area has to offer. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely come back.

Beautiful cabin! We received a call on our way that we could access the property early. We were sight seeing on our way so we didn’t make it in early though. We stopped at the Walmart about 20 min away for groceries but there is a market right up the street from the cabin. It is exactly as described/pictures and very clean. It’s in a great location, near all the sights and activities. We enjoyed the grill and the hot tub too!!

This cabin is so nice and has all the comforts of a family home. Very good beds, well equipped kitchen, Clean linens. We had our daughter, son in law, and a 1 and 4 year old who had the upstairs to themselves. Barely heard them. Will consider returning!

We loved everything about this cabin!!! We walked in and were just amazed with how beautiful everything was!!! Everything was so clean, we had everything we needed. The kids would have been content just staying at our cabin and doing nothing else with the stream behind!! The kids had so much fun and are already planning our next trip. The cabin was so conveniently located to everything we wanted to do!! The hosts were 11/10!!! So helpful, accommodating, and checking in on us!!! Thankyou, Thankyou, Thsnkyou!!!

We were in the hills for a family reunion recently and this was the perfect cabin and location for us. There were 7 of us in the cabin and we had plenty of space to sleep, relax, eat and visit. I enjoyed coffee on the front and back porch each morning and was able to enjoy the creek running through the back of the property. My wife and I were in the downstairs bedroom so we didn’t take use the outdoor balcony upstairs but maybe next time. We had 2 cars and an ATV but there was ample space for additional cars if need be. We didn’t take advantage of the hot tub because it was the middle of summer however it is on the back porch and has a great view of the creek and hills. Randy and Bridget were great hosts. They were great at communicating with us before and after the trip, they’ve kept the cabin extremely clean, well maintained and provided everything we could have needed. We’ve stayed at other places in the past but this will now be our go to cabin anytime we’re in the Black Hills.

We just had an amazing week long stay. The cottage was impeccably clean throughout and the kitchen was very well stocked. We travelled with my parents who are 73 and my kids who are 12. Kids loved the bed loft area and my parents loved the first floor bedroom and bath. The beds were very comfortable. The cottage accommodated all us perfectly. We enjoyed the wild life in the back yard in the morning and evening. Having the hot tub, grill, washer and dryer was a great plus. We loved the location in Hill City as it was centrally located to all of our outings. We rented a UTV one day and the cottage is located right across the way from China Gulch which is a main access to many trails. Would come back and stay again.

This was a great cabin to stay at. Are only 4 star was for the listing as it was listed as having 3 bedrooms but instead the third “bedroom” is an open loft area which for most won’t be a big deal but if you have younger kids that may be difficult. The balcony off the upstairs bedroom was awesome and became part of our morning routine each day. The owners texted us on day one and had great communication the entire stay. The cabin is easy to get in and out of and is in the middle of the big attractions so a quick drive to anywhere.

we had family from Nebr.So.Dak. and Colo. staying at the cottage. Everything was as described in the ad for the cottage. The house is more like a log house as it had massive log beams and a wooden interior ceiling. We had plenty of room for the eight of us. The kitchen and living room were very usable. Everyone enjoyed the hot tub.

The property is very accommodating! Everything you can possibly need is there. We did not use the hot tub or grill but they were available. Cabin was closer to a Hiway than we anticipated and a motel behind us….During busy tourist season that could present more noise. Lovely property! Easy communication with host.

This property was a fantastic fit for our family. The location was perfect for everything we wanted to see including Mount Rushmore, Crazy Horse, and Custer State Park. The owners were wonderful to work with and they made sure we had everything we needed. We will definitely look at staying here again if we make it back for a future trip.

My family (me, hubby and 9yo daughter) had a great week in the cabin. The cabin is beautiful, spacious and very well stocked. We had everything we needed for a week’s stay. Love that it is centrally located to just about everything we wanted to do. Would definitely stay here again if we’re out this way and will recommend to friends/family. This place was fantastic. The description was perfect. Beds very comfortable and large bathrooms. Central to all sites- Mt Rushmore;Custer State Park; crazy horse; and even the Badlands. Home was very well equiped and so cozy. Lots of room for everyone. Outside was so pretty next to a creek. We appreciated all the info in the welcome booklet. We are planning our return.

The owners, Bridget & Randy, have a beautiful cottage near Hill City. We loved the place. It was so clean. It was beautifully decorated. They have thought of everything. It is close to Hil City but out far enough to see the wildlife. We got to check in early which was a huge bonus. We highly recommend this rental and plan to visit it again soon.

My wife and I took my MIL and her aunt and uncle (from SoCal) to the black hills. Both had seeing Mount Rushmore as Bucket List place to see. Your property made our experience even better. The location is ideal! Hill City is a classic black hills town. Great restaurants and bars helped, that’s for sure! The cabin was clean, spacious and a great home base. The communication with the owners was timely and polite. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and would recommend this property. Thanks!!

We have previously stayed at Storm Mtn 2x, always satisfied because the homes are beautiful but always envious because this rental was always rented & it does have the most unobstructed private view House immaculate & very comfortable & spacious. Hot tub outstanding. Dealing with Bridget was a pleasure. She & Randy truly wanted us to be comfortable. Kitchen made cooking meals easy. Nice decor, bedding & furniture. Neighbor Doug always a pleasure & a great help. We had met him previously. If u need a local map or info visit Doug, 3rd cabin on the left (resident). Anyway, u will most definitely not be disappointed. Delightful home to return to after visiting the Black Hills. Miner Brewery about 1.5 miles away has awesome craft beer. Enjoy, it’s great. We thoroughly enjoyed our time at this lovely cabin at Hill City. The cabin was exactly as described and well supplied with all we needed in the kitchen, plus movies, games, and laundry (not entertaining but so helpful!). The info binder has all the instructions, and owners were very responsive to any questions. The cabin is just off a main road with a grocery store very close by. We found it easy to navigate from there to Custer State Park, Lake Sheridan, Keystone, and much more. We definitely recommend this beautiful cabin for a Black Hills vacation!

Excellent communication with the property managers. They answered all my questions promptly, and notified us that our cabin was ready ahead of schedule so we could check in early. We loved this cottage as our homembase for 5 days in the black hills for our two families! We had 4 kids aged 8-13 and 4 adults and this home was a great fit for us! The creek in the back of the property provided hours of entertainment and the home was so wonderfully appointed- everything we looked for to make our meals easier was readily available! Randy and Bridget were incredibly gracious as hosts; prompt communication, clear expectations, and supremely helpful. We loved our time!

This home in Stone Mountain Properties was perfect for our 2 night family stay. The property is immaculate inside and out. Beds were very comfortable. Kitchen was well stocked with everything you could need (check refrigerator and cabinets before you go shopping . . . you may find some spices, oil, tinfoil, etc that you don't have to buy). We were grateful for the nice gas grill and enjoyed the hot tub in the evening. Location is perfect for exploring the Hills.

Great for a family stay and close to mt Rushmore/badlands/Custer state park/black hills/devils tower. Beautiful cabin that was very clean. Great location in the middle of The Black Hills that was close to all the attractions! Picturesque view in backyard of creek and Storm Mountain. Deer sightings were an everyday occurrence. The owners were very easy to get a hold of and even checked in to make sure everything was good with the cabin. My wife and I along with our three kids had a great time and plan on returning!

We traveled to Hill City for a wedding and arrived early to ride our motorcycles in the area! Great location. Easy to get to everything and fun place to unwind! We had plenty of room to spread out and friends rented the one next door so it was easy to see everyone over the long weekend!
