This is a very nice beach house. The views are just incredible. Beach access is outstanding. Just walk down the backyard stairs down to the beach. The back patio is awesome. The stay was comfortable with many amenities provided. There were minor kick-knacks however. Checking in with the electronic codes for the front door was a pain. Neither the code provided in the welcome email from Vacasa nor the newer code provided by the Vacasa customer service agent when we arrived at the house can open the locked front door. So the customer service agent told me the code over the phone to open the lock box to get the key to the front door. That worked. However, it was difficult to remove the key after locking and unlocking the front door. Basically the key could be stuck in the lock, and I usually had to re-lock or re-unlock the door then wiggle the key in and out and left and right until it breaks loose from the door lock sort of randomly. So times were wasted working the door lock key. There were only a few times that I was able to remove the key just fine. So that front door lock was a real pain to work with. Also, as mentioned by the other guests to this house, it smelled bad when we first arrived. So during the day as long as we are in the house we opened up all the doors and windows and let it air out. After a few days of doing this it does not smell so bad any more. Also the stairs down to the beach could be rennovated.
All in all we enjoyed our stay despite those small issues.

The location is fabulous. It is right on the beach and all of the front room windows overlook it. The deck is wonderful, spacious, with great views. Very spacious with a cute little open room with artificial turf in the middle of the house and no wind. Very close to Cayucos and Morro Bay.

This is the 5th time we have stayed at Nana’s house. We have lived all over the world and it is always nice to come back to a familiar home. The cleaning staff had everything in great shape and fully equipped. The house now has a giant TV in the first family room with great WiFi. The Vacasa staff was helpful and always friendly. Thank you all so much for helping us with a great stay!

We really enjoyed our stay. Nana's house is clean and comfortable. There's just a few things I would've liked to have known to better prepare for/bring myself...
Kitchen: Kitchen is well stocked with pots and pans, casseroles and dishes but is low on wine glasses, and silverware (13 random forks, 5 spoons, 3 steak knives, no paring knife). There's a coffee maker but no provided coffee. And hot pads would be appreciated.
Bedrooms/bathroom: The owner's suite bed is comfortable but the shower is made for someone 4 ft tall and the twin beds in the other bedroom are uncomfortable for adults.
Gorgeous ocean view and great deck. Bring your own comfortable chairs though. The provided binoculars were appreciated as we enjoyed watching the surfers, the dolphins, and whales.
We also enjoyed playing the Whine Barrel game.

We have stayed here 3 times now over the years. Absolutely love the location! Our favorite is the patio, listening and watching the waves. The house was clean upon arrival and was sufficient for our stay. Sure it could use a little upgrading but the ocean and walking the beach are the stars here and those things are 5 star here!

The views from the porch is the only thing to look forward too.

You cannot beat the views of this house, and there is plenty of space. The drawback was the OVERWHELMING smell of smoke in the back den/living room—where the only TV in the house is. There are no windows you can open, so the smell was impossible to air out. The kitchen could be better stocked, but overall it was ok. The house was not very clean—the floors were especially filthy and it smelled very dusty and smoky. We enjoyed the patio and the east beach access, and the views are absolutely stunning.

The beach house had amazing views and great beach access. The decor is very dated and could use a refresh. The kitchen was stocked with all the basics but could use a set of wine glasses and more acrylic or plastic drinking glasses for the kids. We had to buy salt, so whoever checks the pantry for basics needs to be more thorough. Overall, any downsides were minimal in comparison to the large deck, ocean views and great beach access.

This was a one-time rental for me. I have one reason to like it but ten reasons to not. The view is as good as it gets being close to the center of Estero Bay. The beach is nice but the 50-year-old stairs and handrails to get there are not. It will be weeks before I get all the splinters from my hands. I would not recommend the stairs for young children or the elderly. The public stairway two doors down are a safer way to get to the beach.
The house has plenty of room but is just not functional or comfortable. The deck needs better furniture and the addition of a table.

Location was great. Disappointed with kitchen. No decent pans, wine glasses, etc., no BBQ. Only one small 21” tube TV in main area. Needs care.

Overall, a nice place. The view is amazing and the house is very large. I did have some trouble with the property management. This property is not an owner/operator type situation. It is managed by a large company called Vacasa and you can tell. The help line is a 800 number that eventually gets you in contact with a work from home type person. Everyone that I spoke sounded either stoned or just plain unaware.
Separately, the stairs down to the beach from the house were partially destroyed in a recent storm. When I asked if they were going to be repaired , the company texted me, saying no. They also informed that I could use the public access stairs down the road. No mention of my requested discount either. Very impersonal and corporate.
So summary, the house is fine, but if I owned a vacation house, I wouldn't hire Vacasa to manage it.

The location is great. It is very roomy and comfortable. The master bedroom shower door was broken and not fixed until the morning we left. Patio chairs broken and inadequate. No wine glasses. No barbecue. The master bedroom drapes were too small for the windows. Very old and tired.

Great location in an older beach front home.
This is an older home, needing updating and maintenance. Great location with beach access, a spacious outdoor deck, nice for relaxing with coffee or a glass of wine. Comfortable beds.

Vintage Views
This is our 4th stay at Vintage Views! Cayucos is amazing at any time, any weather, but this week was outstanding with lots of sunshine and little wind. Vintage Views has the best view and largest front deck of any of the homes we have stayed in at Cayucos. The home is very spacious and has an extra bonus open air atrium that protects from the wind. This is a perfect reading area. The WiFi has been upgraded and is super fast. We can’t wait to book again!

Perfect Ocean View
Perfect location with sweeping views of ocean and private stairs down to the beach. Great place to watch the surfers, too.

Funky
This property has been neglected inside. Outside, the stairs need repair and are very rickety. Inside, all the furnishings are old, old, old. the kitchen was a particular disappointment. There is one-of-a kind glassware from GoodWill. No wine glasses; Silverware old, rusty inadequate. Probably about 25 shot glasses. Parts of pans, tops, bowls strewn all over the kitchen. Needs new glassware. Bathtub dangerous. No hand rail or stripping on bottom of tub.Dirty placemats and pot holders. Pillow with blood spot. Old dusty fake foliage in Master Bedroom. All outside foliage needs attention especially in front. Really disgusting.

Great location
You can’t beat the views and location. House needs a little updating but for the price and the location we definitely were not disappointed. Already booked our second trip!

Surprised at changes in supplies!
We have rented this house many times before, and we’re bewildered that for 6 people there were only 7 forks? No wine glasses, but 12 shot glasses? We even left some wine glasses two years ago(because sometimes they break) and there was none! Also some of the pans, the apron had food on them, there was popcorn stuck between the oven and counter- just disappointing. Maybe a new cleaning service? But the view remains the same of course- you cant change that, and the space works for our family. Hopefully the owner will visit the local thrift store and add to the kitchen items! Especially over Thanksgiving! :)Thanks so much!

Vintage Views in Covid
Loved the location and access to ocean!! Children in our group (3 houses total) spent hours at beach. Due to Covid, didn’t frequent the town much but loved the outdoors, hiking (some climbed one of the sisters) and clamming (leaving them in place though) and digging. Patio had absolutely incredible Sunset views and we actually used the little atrium to have meals socially distant from my son who was from LA. The house was an interesting time-stood in the 70s house, but very child-friendly and fine for our needs. Loved our stay!

Rambling, interesting home
We enjoyed our stay and the two of us found it delightful to be in a 3 bedroom, 2 bath home. The views are awesome and the home was immaculate - the cleanest rental we have ever been in nationally and internationally. We liked it that it wasn't "updated" and do wear gloves if you are older like us 75 and 86 as the railing to the beach is authentic. We plan on staying again. Suggestions: 1) Provide detailed instructions for operation of TVs, 2) Remove sediment buildup from street gutter so water does not collect adjacent to the parking area, and 3) inform your neighbor to your immediate south of the deterioration of his house along the walkway.

Beautiful ocean view
Great view, easy beach access and clean. The only downfall is that the kitchen is not very well furnished. Lacking pots and pan selection and stove burners that don’t look safe to use ( left front burner). Could use more silverware too. Overall It is a great place to stay.

My favorite spot
I love this retro beach house. We have been here before and love it each time. Looking forward to our next visit!

Great beachside house.
The only problem was that the Master Bedroom mattress was very uncomfortable and the twin beds need to be replaced. But the location was amazing. It would be worth while for the owners to invest in better beds and to update decor. Maybe wall off the old bathtub in the Master Bedroom. Thank you.

5th Annual Beach Babes Week
We love the views! Since it was our 5th year here, we really feel at home. We are all older now, so take the stairs to the beach a little more cautiously. Fantastic place for our 69 plus Beach Babes.

Great location.
Enjoyed our stay because of the fantastic location, but the property is dated. The stairs to the beach need to be replaced - rotten wood. My grandson got slivers from the railing.
The bedspreads are very old. We didn't use them. TVs leave something to be desired.

Views amazing and patio is great.
The house is really old! But the views were amazing. Great location and love the beach access. The house itself needs updating and could add a tv in the main room for the evening. The back room could be a bedroom. The indoor patio is amazing for kids to hang out.

Rooms with a view
Beautiful views! You can’t beat the views and the location. This was a great house for those with young children and actually has three different living areas with an enclosed patio for kids . The Kitchen is very old and difficult to cook in so try to eat out more ! The beds were a bit hard and the twin bed room has a bad odor.
But... it was overall good and we would come back again.

Family Getaway
We really enjoyed our time at Vintage Views. The views were amazing and being right on the beach was great for our two young children. The house also has a great courtyard that was perfect for the kids to play during the evening.
Would definitely recommend this house for any age group and especially for young families.
