About this villa rental
The villa it's located in a park overlooking the sea from the cliffs, from which you can reach beaches and restaurants using a typical path.
The villa has a large garden with lemon trees and olive trees and a terrace covered by a vineyard.
You can enjoy your meals from the terrace watching the sun set in the bay of naples.
The villa has 2 floors, ground level and first floor.
On the ground floor there is a spacious living room. The living room opens on the panoramic terrace. On the terrace you can have your meals admiring the view, or just relax on the 'rocking sofa'.
On the ground floor there is also the kitchen with a dining room, a bathroom with shower and the garden where you can sunbathe.
Upstairs there are two bedrooms with balcony, each with double bed and third bed apart. One of the bedrooms windows opens on the breathtaking views of the gulf of Naples and the village of Sejanus. There is a second bathroom with bathtub.
The Villa is in a very quit place, in a private park where there are only other villas; it' not far from town center, where you can find supermarkets, groceries, shops and restaurants, open all year. Town center is 5 minutes walking. Train station, to go to Sorrento and Naples, is less than 10 minutes walking.
Why Vico Equense? About it one of our guests wirtes:
"In Vico Equense, the life isn't like Naples or Sorrento. The difference is that the tourist is really considered not like a tourist but like a person. The contact is better. (In the pizzeria, bakery, etc) We highly recommend this place and this house."

This house has a beautiful view and lots of great space for a family. The house was clean. The parking is challenging (on a slope), so we ended up parking in an overnight lot for ease. It was easy to walk from our location to the town center.

From the moment we entered we felt like we were visiting our Italian grandmother (we don’t actually have one). The house was rustic but charming and it felt like home. The kitchen was sufficient but the fridge was hotel size. The view from the balcony/patio was amazing and what we paid for. The young guy who checked us in did not speak any English and we don’t speak any Italian. It was clear that Google translate was really the only way to communicate with the owner and the property manager. In the end we enjoyed our stay and would recommend it to friends.

The view was just as shown in the pictures. Excellent location! Comfortable house and loved the outside patio and the views. Quiet and peaceful. Very attentive host!

It’s very dated, comfortable beds but not any other comfortable furniture.
Long steep walk from parking to entry with luggage that we were not aware of.
Difficult situation with heat; no heat in living room.
Beautiful view.
No written instructions pertaining to WiFi, heat, keys, etc. & person checking us in spoke no English so difficult to understand everything.

Quiet area, beautiful view, no complaints!

We loved the Villa and the terrace- where we spent most of our mornings and evenings. The view was incredible and the house served all our needs!

Spacious villa with extraordinary views of harbor and sea. In an area less crowded then adjacent Amalfi coast towns. Many amenities present in Villa. Could use a slight refresh with more comfortable furniture, but what’s there is more than adequate.

Loved this historic home with incredible views from the private terrace! Perfect if you really want to borrow someone’s family home complete with Doctor Zivago record, family photos, full kitchen, garden, ping pong table etc. Walk to many restaurants and shops or do n the stone stairs to the beach then take the bus back up the hill and enjoy the stunning sunset view! Perfect for those who want an authentic experience rather than a hotel ambiance.

Brilliant house with unforgettable views! Air conditioning very much appreciated as temps were mid 30s. Set in quiet park. We used public transport, both town centre and train station a 10 minute walk away. 15 minute easy train journey to Sorrento where ferries leave for Positano and Capri. Great base. Our 2 teenage daughters enjoyed it all as much as we did.

We all very much enjoyed our stay in Vico Equense. It's just a 10 min train ride to Sorrento and easy access to all the the Amalfi coast has to offer. The town itself is small but very quaint and not over crowded like many of the other towns nearby. Very easy to navigate and the beach was close. We had a little trouble with check in, as our train was delayed so we missed the person who was to meet us and had to wait another hour at the train station for them to come back. Otherwise, communication with the host was spot on, with quick replies. We loved the feel of the home, like staying with Italian family. The views were the very best part. We'd love to come back again.

My wife and I stayed here for 10 days in May 2023 and we thoroughly enjoyed our time here. The view is incredible and the town is quiet, and not full of tourists like Sorrento, Amalfi or Positano. The home is older, but in good condition. We had only one small issue during our time there, and the owner resolved it within 30 minutes. Communication from Giuseppe was timely and helpful. We highly recommend this home and would gladly stay here again. Did I mention the view? I recommend bringing binoculars to watch the sailboats and cruise ships sail into the bay.

As others wrote this house is amazing: great views and terrace, nice snall garden, even with tabletennis and lemontree, and it is well equipped and has nice furniture. The owner answered to every question quickly. Also the city is beautiful. So I highly recommend this flat

We enjoyed our stay at Giuseppe’s home. The location was great and had everything we needed for an enjoyable experience. The view from the terrace is amazing.

Clean, roomy villa, where you can view the ocean. Comfortable and cozy. Has everything you could need. Well stocked kitchen. Beautiful views. I really enjoyed my stay.

The house is really nice and the location is beautiful, and what a breathtaking view!
Not far from the town center, Vico Equense, a nice town alive also in winter, all shops, restaurants and groceries were open normally. You can easily reach Sorento by train, local train station is just few minutes walking from the house. We were blessed by a very nice wether and this place it's really warm also in Winter when there's a spot of sun! Definitely recommended!

The property needs a lot of work. Older cute house with a great view however the basics of making it a home away from home was far from desirable. The rooms were not heated adequately and in the middle of our stay the heat went off due to lack of gas. No instructions to get it going until we had to call the owner.
The bathroom had mold in them and did not go into the bath. Lucky there was another small shower but that was like a dorm room shower.
I would never recommend this property as it ruined the last leg of our wonderful vacation. I believe vacations should create great lasting memories but not of this kind.
Also be aware of pricing as charges are hidden in property use age fees.

A perfect little gem
The villa is located perfectly - 5 min on foot to the center of Vico with all the restaurants and shopping and just 5-7 minutes walking distance to the beach - this combination is extremely hard to find unless you are planning to rent a car
The view from the terrace is absolutely breath taking - with the view of the bay below , Vesuvius in the distance and the city lights above the villa - just stunning
The property manager is readily available to assist with your needs and is kind and helpful
The only caveat - be sure to ask to show you the way to the beach - because it’s not self explanatory at all and you would have to walk through what looks like other property - so just be sure and ask when checking in
Our experience was wonderful and I recommend this property highly

This is very good basic accomodation. When somebody expects luxus can go to 5-stars hotels. But here you have everything what you need and it is clear. The only one point that should be more explaind: The way to the small beach is over LONG stairs.
For older people this can be a problem. The rest is great - view from the terasse, location (close to the city - max 10min walk)
We enjoyed this stay !

Pictures do not do Villa lole justice
The view alone is worth the price of the stay! Off in the distance the Island of Ischia floats on the horizon and at night the lights of all of Naples Bay. We (four adults) stayed seven nights. Every sunset dazzled us, cotton candy clouds and brilliant orange globes sinking into the blue bay. We even awoke early for the amazing the sunrises. Sailing boats, yachts, cruise and container ships plied the waters below as if on demand entertainment. Lemon trees on the property provided lemon aide. Vico Equense sits atop the slopes of a rugged coast line and is very walkable with worthwhile views at every turn. The people are probably the friendliest in all Italy! happy to help with your Italian if you try to speak and eager to learn more English. Marica met us at the train station and returned us there when we checked out. Only an hour to Naples and less than 30 minutes to Sorrento or Pompeii by train. And in Italy, train is the way to go. The property is in a controlled access "park" we always felt secure and safe and rarely saw the neighbors. We could have used an extra gate key. The home itself is old and one must be prepared for the small things such as, the water cabinets of the toilets are slow to fill and the downstairs shower is very small as is the fridge and the kitchen galley area. Opening the windows helped with the musty smells. Italians approach coffee way different than Americans do, the tiny cups and expresso pots were quaint but not the stuff we were use to awakening with, no one seemed to understand what we meant by "coffee pot". We found one French Press but it seemed over priced at 50 euros! We made do. Again the pictures posted on this wonderful location do not do it justice. The people, the view, the quiet surroundings will bring us back and we hope to return soon. Mr. G always responded promptly when we had questions and sent check in instruction well in advance of our depart date which was a tremendous help and relief. Gracie Mille.

Great location
The villa is in a truly charming town away from the crowds of Sorrento which is easily accessible by the train. The villa was spacious with two lovely patios and very clean with incredible views of the cliff and ocean. The trek down to the beach was well worth the effort - we did it twice. The seaside village has several good restaurants as does Vico Equense. The villa could use some maintenance - the sliding doors were a bit difficult, the key rack kept falling off the wall and the plumbing was a bit quirky. However, Giuseppe and Marika who met us at the train station and then drove us back on our last day could not have been more helpful, as far as they could.
I would recommend as long as your not expecting a five star hotel.

Brilliant accomodation and fantastic hosts
We travel to Italy every year and this is one of our best accommodations we have used. The local staff that assisted us were fantastic and the location is superb and so convenient to Amalfi Coast, Sorento, Naples, Pompei yet in a delightful village with a nice array of local restaurants

Perfect Location to Enjoy the Area
We loved our week-long stay in Vico Equense. The house feels like a quaint, well-loved family holiday home, stocked with everything you need, and the sunsets from the veranda are unbeatable. We rested comfortably here while spending our days exploring the Amalfi Coast and visiting the archaeological sites. The Circumsuviana train is a reasonably short walk past a pretty seaside park and a couple of places to stop for a pastry and coffee before setting off to explore. At night, there are plenty of dining options as well as a supermarket where you can stock up on groceries and snacks. We happened to book our trip during a local 3-day pizza festival, which ended up being a highlight and something we would like to return to someday. This place is away from the touristy hubbub of more popular places, but near enough that you can reach all the attractions quickly. For our family of four, it was just our speed.

Wonderful place to stay on the Amalfi coast
Beautiful villa with breathtaking views of the sea - sunsets included on sunny days. Several bedrooms and bathrooms make it great for families, groups, or for romantic stay. Easy 5-10 minute walk to town and the train station. 4 euros for a round trip train ticket to Sorrento, which runs every half hour. Highly recommend.

Amazing view!
Our stay in This home was centrally located for our vacation. We were able to travel to Sorrento, Amalfi Coast, Capri and Naples easy. The owner was attentive to our needs. Best of all, you have a million dollar view.

A beautiful view you won’t want to leave
Vico Equense is a lovely little town with friendly people and real shops. The villa is set high above the sea with fantastic views to Icshia, a wonderful place to return to after a busy day visiting nearby Pompeii or Herculaneum. The villa itself is very comfortable with everything you might need. The two double bedrooms are of equal size, one looking out to sea. Marica and Giuseppe could not have been more helpful, Marica being on hand and easy to contact if a problem were to arise. Marica is also a top class Italian cook and we asked her to cook a meal for us one evening. It was absolutely delicious- local ingredients, including wine from the region. My mouth is watering just thinking about it!
The house is convenient for the train station and there is a private gate leading onto the steps down to the beach and restaurants below. We enjoyed Mustafa’s particularly.
The outside table cloth has faded in the sun and the loungers have seen better days - I’m sure they will be replaced soon for the main season.- but this is a fantastic place to stay to enjoy the many delights of the region. We loved it.
Thank you very much Giuseppe and Marica for your kind hospitality.

Amazing View - Needs TLC
Yes, the view is as amazing as the picture! Coffee on the balcony every morning was a great way to start! The house was quaint with lots of room for our family of 5. We were able to walk to everything from our location...down to the beach and into town. Great restaurants in town! However, the inside of the house needed a lot of TLC. It was basically clean...but it clearly hasn't seen a thorough cleaning in a long while. A lot of little things were broken...electrical outlets, drawers, etc. The kitchen was adequate but cluttered. Beds were comfortable. The kids enjoyed the table tennis a lot! The wifi didn't work until day 3 - not a major issue until we were trying to plan things for the next week. Vico Equense was a very cute town.

Great view and location
We loved Giuseppe's villa - in particular, it's convenient location and the view from the terrace. The villa is close to shops and restaurants and to the station at Vico Equence which makes it a perfect location for exploring Naples, Pompeii, Sorrento and the Amalfi coast. Vico itself is in a beautiful location which can be seen from the terrace of the villa. There is a path from the Villa to the beach where you can swim in the warm waters of the Bay of Naples. The Villa itself is well equipped and comfortable, Giuseppe was a friendly and helpful host and Marica, who met us at the station and showed us to the villa was also friendly and helpful.

Unbelievable views and great location.
There is no better location for Amalfi coast, Naples, Pompeii, etc. But the ultimate experience is the view from this villa!!!

Nice quiet refuge in a busy town
Vico Equense is an active, vibrant town, unspoiled by tourism, which is why we chose to stay there.
Giuseppe was a very receptive host, making sure we were met and escorted to our apartment. Without this nice touch, it would be more difficult to navigate the town. Marica met us at the train station, then guided us to Villa Iole. While her English speaking was limited, Giuseppe was available by phone to answer and address all our needs, and language differences was not a problem. Marica gave us an informative walking tour of the apartment complex, including a walk to the private walkway that leads to the small seaside village.
The walkway is steep, and is strenuous if you are out of shape, yet it is worth it to walk down to the ocean, at least once! The evening sunsets on the balcony were breathtaking, and although there are many restaurants nearby, we chose to eat in, and enjoy our private views.
If you are looking for an experience, unspoiled by tourism, Vico is a better place than Sorrento, which is about a 30 minute drive to the south. However, don't try to compare the two cities - one is designed to showcase Italy for tourists (Sorrento) and the other is to live like the locals.
We had the best of both worlds, we shopped and stocked our kitchen in Sorrento, then enjoyed our dolce vita evenings at home.
Thank you for sharing your Italy with us, Guiseppe! We had a great vacation.

Beautiful patio and close to the town centre.
Guiseppe has a wonderful property with a beautiful patio area that is approximately 2 blocks from the centre of town. The property was very comfortable for 2 couples. I would highly recommend this property to others. The physical ability to go up and down stairs is important. The driveway is long and sloping and the staircase has about 30 steps to the front of the house. Thank you for a wonderful stay Guiseppe and Marica.

A little piece of paradise!
Villa Lole overlooking the Mediterranean Sea or Bay of Naples is wonderful. The house is quaint with several terraces. The doors open onto these patios. The view is breathtaking. House is fully furnished. The property owners are very helpful and cooperative. As they mentioned in the description there are stairs and a steep hill coming and going from property but it is worth it! Vico Equense is a quaint small village with several good restaurants. There is a grocery store is you prefer to cook. Train is available to go to other towns or a honest taxi service by the name of Alex. We would stay again only for longer as it so beautiful and relaxing.

Great Villa to Explore Pompeii and the Amalfi Coast
We really enjoyed our stay in Vico Equense. The villa itself feels very authentic, clean, very large and the view is spectacular. With two boys we had a lot of space-much better than being cramped in a hotel room. The bed in the master bedroom is super comfortable. I think the second bed may not be as comfy, but my kids shared it and didn't complain ( they even slept 14 hours straight after a long flight from Chicago.) The villa has everything you would need to cook, but we just had breakfast at home and would return late at night. One night we returned earlier and walked down a large set of stairs to the beach. For Americans, beaches are very different than what we are used to-more rocky than sandy-but it was nice to see the sea up close one time.
We really liked Vico because it does not feel like a tourist town. You can stop at local shops to get your croissants, coffee, milk, etc for breakfast. There is one great Gelato place-you will see it all the locals seem to gather there around 5pm to meet, especially on Sunday. It also has delicous cakes. From Vico you can easily get to many great places.
The villa is about a 20 min walk through town to the train station. (The owner Giuseppe live in Naples but he is very responsive and he has a local Mario who helps you check in. Mario helped us get our suitcases to the villa, but when we left we just pulled them to the train station since it is all downhill.) The location is good since from the train station you can quickly take the train to Pompeii for a day visit. We didn't eat near Pompeii, since restaurants looked like a tourist trap. Rather we took the train back to Vico where there are a lot of restaurants to choose from. One waiter told us "Italians like to cook and Americans like to eat". Very true all the food was delicious. You can also take the train to Sorrento. From there you buy a bus ticket to take you to the Amalfi coast. Amazing how these huge buses navigate those roads. April was a great time to visit. I hear it gets much busier in the summer. We got off in once city (Praiano) and then hiked up the 1000s stairs, stopped at the top for some drinks (which came with fresh olives and chips) and then hiked over and down to Positano. You can also take a bus from Amalfi to Ravello (or hike up the stairs), a great town higher in the mountains.
Overall a great place-especially if you want a local town feel, a central location and a space bigger than a hotel room.

Fabulous place
This place is fantastic! What a view from the garden, and from our bedroom.
Just 5 minutes far from the center, where there are all shops and groceries you may need, just 15 minutes away from beautiful Sorrento, by train.
When we would return in Sorrento coast we will surely stay here again!
We definitely suggest vico Equense as a place to visit Sorrento coast, is quite cheaper and with few tourists.
Thanks Giuseppe and Mario.

A perfect family villa in the bay of Naples
The Villa is pretty much as the pictures indicate: breathtaking. I would definitely stay again if I was going to be on the Amalfi Coast. It's close to everything and easy to get to and from.

Perfect Spot
Fabulous views - great balcony, perfect for sipping wine. Convenient location - easy 10-15 minute walk to ships, trains, grocery. Good layout of house. Upstairs with two good size bedrooms, bathroom with tub and small capacity washer. Downstairs with good size living/dining area, bathroom with shower, small kitchen.
The only negative would be some electrical issues and some dated food items.
For this reason, I giving three stars. The owner assures me he'll be taking care of these issues. Pat
