Come enjoy the quiet lifestyle in the charming town of Encinitas. Encinitas is centrally located between San Diego and Orange County with easy freeway and Coaster train access.

Our wonderful, 'Hagan's Hideaway' is beautifully decorated with custom, comfortable furnishings. Although attached (by a shared wall) to a custom home, our studio is very private with it's own entrance and private patio, perfect for, "SOCIAL ISOLATING". Our studio has a queen size Tempur-Pedic mattress, full bath with tub and kitchenette. It also has a fully enclosed patio, for your private outdoor enjoyment.

The small village of Encinitas has many great shops and restaurants all within walking distance. Our studio is just two houses from the water with wonderful beaches that are a short walk away. There is opportunity for great surfing, swimming, and stretches of beach for beach combing and long walks. The quiet neighborhood beach, 'Stonesteps' is 1 block to the north and the active 'Moonlight Beach' is 3 blocks to the south with volleyball courts, beach rentals and a snack bar.

The property felt completely separate from the home. We had the cutest patio, all to ourselves and we felt comfortable letting our dogs have indoor outdoor accessibility while we were gone. The beach is a short walk and is littered with families. There was no hustle and bustle, that summer time beach communities typically attract. Nearly, everything is walking distance. Encinitas has all the perks of great restaurants, beaches, and activities minus the overpopulation of tourists.

Comfortable, clean, cozy, private studio with lovely enclosed patio space. The location was perfect - walking distance to the beach and restaurants/coffee, yet quiet enough for sleeping. The owners were friendly and helpful, and honestly thought of everything we might need. We plan to stay here again!

For the two of us staying there, this was ideal in Encinitas and walkable distance to Encinitas, coffee shops, restaurants, beaches etc. This is a hidden gem and the owners are fabulous!

This home was charming and lovely. The courtyard really adds a huge appeal, it’s large, shaded and comfy. We even barbecued one night. The host is fantastic, she checked in with us a few times to see if we needed anything. When you love the provided shampoo and lotion you know you’re in a great home!

Great Studio, close to the beach, dog friendly

My husband and I stayed here with our 2 year old yellow lab. The studio is very comfortable and welcoming. Every amenity you would want is there for you to use. Jen made it easy to check in and stayed in touch to ensure we had all we needed. The gated patio was great for our dog. The neighborhood is quiet pet friendly with lots of people walking dogs and a block from the beach. We will be back.

Just a quiet and beautiful little beach retreat. My husband and I needed a few days at the coast and this was a perfect place to stay. Jen kept in touch so if you have any questions she is a text or call away. The place is sparkling clean with ample linens and towels. We will certainly keep this place on our list for a quick getaway when we need it.

I spent two wonderful nights at this property to re-charge and unwind. Everything about my experience was perfect- the location couldn’t be beat a block from the beach, the owners were sweet and responsive, and the house is immaculate, stylish and orderly. I’m so glad I chose it and I will definitely will be returning!

My husband & I enjoyed a quick 2 night stay at Hagan’s Hideaway last week while visiting our son. Perfect location for walking to local shops, beaches & restaurants.....and our favorite place for coffee - Lofty! Also great location for exploring all of the coastal towns near San Diego. The studio is cosy and beautifully furnished and appointed. Lovely private yard with barbeque, table and chairs. All meticulously maintained. Mini kitchen with microwave and refrigerator. Owners were terrific and very helpful. We would recommend to anyone wanting to be walking distance to one of the iconic beaches in California.

I think this property was overpriced for the size and amenities provided. It was lovely in many ways, however we brought food planning to grill and eat in most of the time because of special diet and having the dogs with us. The grill was filthy, with old coals that wouldn’t light and broken lighter and no cleaning brush. The owner did provide these supplies when we ask. We spent an hour or two cleaning the grill before it was ready to use. The small refrigerator had not been defrosted, so things would not fit in the freezer and it would not even make ice cubes. The kitchen was not adequate for our needs and the information indicate that it would be

This is the reason the SoCal beaches are so great. Although our stay was almost a year ago, I want to say the hosts were gracious, the guest house was perfect for relaxing and as our home base. Close to the beach and restaurants. Very safe and quiet neighborhood for a walking tour. My wife and I loved it.

I adored this wonderful escape. It really is a hideaway. Incredibly well decorated, immaculate with many thoughtful additions (coffee, tea, cold water, bathroom amenities). The patio was perfect. Jen was a wonderful host. Responsive, friendly yet allowed privacy. Walked 100 feet to the bluff and drank my coffee watching the ocean waves crash in.

The location was great. We enjoy walking to different places within Encinitas. Everything within a mile or so. It's also a great base for visiting neighboring communities. There room itself is in great condition and outfitted with everything you need. If we visit Encinitas again this place will be in the short list of places to stay.

I love everything about this place. I spent two weeks with the beagle boys in this charming little retreat and we couldn’t have been more comfortable. The owners, who by the way are delightful, have thought of everything to make the place cozy and comfortable from hand milled soap to a welcoming bottle of wine. The patio is pretty and perfectly secure for your furry family members. The location is walking distance to two beaches and several restaurants. I will return and give it a rave review.

My husband and enjoyed our stay in this nicely-appointed efficiency. The bed is comfortable and the roomy bathroom has deluxe soaps, shampoo, conditioner, body lotion, fresh flowers, and heated floors if the night is chilly! Loved that! The kitchenette area has a small 'fridge and everything you'd need to heat (in a microwave) and serve a quick meal. The whole place is neat, clean and very comfortable. We choose it because I am a beach lover and could walk 2 blocks to take in a beach view, or could walk about 4 blocks for beach access at "Stonesteps." FYI - Lots of stairs to get down to or up from the beach at this spot. Walking 5 or 6 blocks south to Moonlight Beach is a gentle slope and easier on the knees, if this is important to you. Several restaurants and shopping spots are also within walking distance. The neighborhood is quiet and we never had any trouble finding a parking spot right by the house. The owners were quick to respond to any questions I had via message. Overall, a very positive experience!

This was the perfect spot for exactly what we were looking for! We wanted a cozy spot close to the beach and close to the fun! This was exactly that! Complete with at-home hospitality. Jen & Doug were friendly and gracious. They really cared about our stay and wanted to be sure we had everything we needed. The studio is located in the back portion of their home with a private entrance and private courtyard complete with picnic table, chairs and a BBQ! The cottage was complete with everything we needed...towels, wine opener, utensils, hair dryer, iron...and a complimentary bottle of really good wine! (Yasss!!!!!!!) We can't wait to be come back for another visit!
