We welcome you to come and be our guest at the Legacy Lodge.
Guests pay an additional 12% of nightly rate BBR Recreation Fee billed through VRBO within a week of reservation. Hosts do not receive any part of this fee.
Love, care and updates have been put into our cabin to make our guests have an amazing stay.
We have a Fido crate, bowls, mats, and other goodies to make your stay with your dog more comfortable.
The decks have loungers and outdoor supplies to enjoy the private outdoor beauty that surrounds you!
Our air conditioned home has comfortable accommodations for 11 people. On the main floor there are three bedrooms with king beds and two full baths.
The "bunkroom" is upstairs with two sets of bunk beds (twin mattresses), a trundle (twin mattress), and a fold out couch (single mattress). A 40" Smart TV with cable in the Bunkroom makes it the perfect "kid's room". Off the Kid's Bunkroom is a third bathroom with shower.
Also upstairs is a loft with wraparound seating for a 65" Smart TV, with cable. All common Streaming Services available on both TVs. We also offer free high speed Wi-Fi at the house.
The kitchen is fully equipped - there is a propane gas barbecue on the huge wrap-around deck. For those who prefer not to cook, the Ranch, Sisters, and Camp Sherman offer excellent restaurants only minutes away.
For your convenience, bedding, towels, and 2 sets of washer/dryers are provided. A cleaning service is also required.
We are located at Glaze Meadow -182 in the quiet southeast corner of the ranch on a double lot with plenty of privacy but a quick bike ride to the Glaze Meadow Recreation Center, with indoor pool which is open year-round.
The Legacy Lodge has exterior cameras to protect the property when guests are not present. There are no cameras inside of The Legacy Lodge.
The exterior cameras include a Ring door bell at the main entrance, a camera viewing the entry doors, a camera viewing the parking lot, and a camera viewing the sliding glass door and deck. The Ring camera is always operational. The other cameras are operational on arrival and departure days but not operational during your stay.

Overall, nice place. Kitchen was a little small for six adults. Outdoor deck and fire pit was really nice. Mistakenly assumed the three bedrooms each had a bathroom. Not so. One couple had to sleep in the bunk beds in order to have their own bathroom upstairs. Well appointed with every thing you need.

Property worked for our group, very quiet and serene. Pool is driving distance away. Kitchen is small but was workable for us. Property managers communicated well when needed. Overall, great stay!

Everything about staying here felt premium. The only downside is that there is that checking in can be fiddly since you have to do it in person at the welcome center. But that took like 10 minutes. Great place!

This was a delightful Christmas for a family of adults. The house was perfect with enough room for all to have their own space. The kitchen/living area was delightful and big enough for everyone to be together -- and the wood burning fireplace added a certain magic. Even a separate TV area to watch games and movies without interrupting card games or someone taking a nap.

We had an excellent time during our stay and enjoyed the home. The kids loved their space in the loft and spent much of their time up there when not out exploring. The house came fully stocked with everything you need. My only feedback is that the floors were sticky on the main floor so we re-mopped them. I think the cleaning folks used dish soap in the mop so we just mopped over everything with light water and dried it. Overall, our holiday visit was cozy by the fire and quite memorable!

We were four couples in the area for a long wedding weekend nearby in Sisters. This property perfectly suited for our needs. Very clean with many amenities that we didn’t even have time to enjoy—bicycles, fire pit, fireplace! Communication with Renee was excellent and she addressed all our questions promptly. Highly recommend the Legacy Lodge!

We enjoyed our stay. The house met our expectations given the description & reviews. Bedrooms were nicely sized, the extra washer/dryer were helpful, and the house is just a mile from Glaze Meadow pool in a quiet area.
I would have liked a larger mutual gathering area inside the house. There's not much space outside the bedrooms. But since the weather was great, we spent a lot of time on the large deck. (Watch your step in the dark - it's not all one level.)
We did call the owner once because a storage area that should have been locked was open on our arrival. We stowed items and it locked before we realized our mistake. She was pleasant and quickly resolved the issue.
We were a bit surprised to get charged for some items after our stay, on top of the cleaning fee. For instance, a toilet seat was damaged (but still partly attached) when we checked in. I should have let the owner know that but didn't. My mistake. We tried to fix it but couldn't. It ultimately broke. We were also charged for TP and using the "owner supply." We didn't use any TP that wasn't readily accessible. We certainly didn't use anywhere near the amount indicated in the summary of charges. We also would have bleached sheets if bleach was available.
All in all, we enjoyed our stay, but the extra charges left a sour taste given the rate we paid. (Are you sure the cleaning crew isn't taking TP?) We've stayed at BBR houses for 40 years and alway try to do a great job cleaning up prior to departure.

First visit to Oregon. Beautiful area. House was great for our family. Might have liked a larger kitchen area, but after rearranging a few things all was good. Enjoyed the way the rooms were arranged. Appliances all worked very well and really enjoyed two washers and dryers.

What a wonderful, clean, and inviting home. The layout is perfect for a family or group with a range of ages. The loft/tv and bunk room (with bathroom) is upstairs while three bedrooms/two baths are on the main floor. Two sets of laundry. Bike to glaze meadow rec across the beautiful meadow.Hosts were incredibly friendly and responsive. We'd love to return!

This was a perfect place to take a few families with kiddos. The kids had a great time in the loft and the parents enjoyed our stay immensely. Everything was set up perfect, the beds were very comfortable and the owner was kind enough to let us check in a few hours early due to the impending weather. Would definitely recommend!

We had a great holiday. The house was nice and big for our large family and very clean. I think we all enjoyed the large fireplace in the living area, it made for a magical Christmas.
We didn't really do much, it was nice to just hang out with each other and play games. My only gripe would be the fee Black Butte ads on per person. We didn't use any of the amenities (pool and such) so we thought that was a bit much.

We adore Black Butte and this house was a great spot for a post Thanksgiving weekend to hang out and watch the UO/OSU game (Go Beavs!) in the cool loft area. Our crew would only love an additional TV downstairs because we have issues. 🤣 The house is great and Renee was a dream to communicate with!

Even with the kitchen being tiny, but being so well equipped we were able to make Thanksgiving dinner with all the sides for 10.

Beautiful, quiet location with plenty of room. Wonderful king beds, one has en-suite. A second bathroom on first floor. Large bunk room upstairs with en-suite and another storage area with huge washer and dryer.
The owner Renee was very accessible through text. Place is comfortable!
We came for a refresh and it was perfect. Kitchen is small but we’ll stocked. It meant I prepared uncomplicated meals!

Great communication with the owners. House is in a quiet area of the ranch and has large decks to enjoy the peaceful surroundings. Plenty of room for our family of five. Kitchen very well stocked. All around great BBR rental. Will definitely look to rent it again.

Loved this house!
We loved this home, it was clean clean clean! Beds were comfy, plenty of pillows, in fact the whole home was well stocked. The kitchen was ready cook in. The kids loved the bunk room, plenty of space to play. We enjoyed a lazy rainy day watching movies up stairs.
The deck is huge, we ate outside every night.

Nicely updated on a quiet street
I've been coming to Black Butte Ranch for over 30 years and have stayed in many homes. This house was one of the quietest and nicely decorated/updated we've stayed at, and the only one that's ever had AC! The owners were very quick to respond to any questions and when the AC wasn't working at first they had it fixed extremely quickly. The check out process is a bit involved so make sure you're aware of that, but most BBR properties require a bit of check out work.

Fell short in preparation/housekeeping
Overall - nice house, but some issues:
- didn’t get check in email with door codes
- arrived to find wet rags in washing machine
- some of beds were not made so we did it ourselves upon arrival, but not enough spare sheets
- bedding is old especially on bunk beds
- asked to wash and dry AND put away all sheets and towels (AND wash and dry all dishes and put away) before check out
- leaky sink with a note that it will be fixed next week (why is that relevant for us know - why not just fix it?)
Owner did reply to our texts, but couldn’t help with any of the issues.
It wasn’t a huge issue, but rugs were delivered while we were there and we had to move them into the garage.
Just too many little hassles that you don’t want to deal with on vacation….. :(

Great spot to play in the snow
We had a great stay. The bunk room has plenty of space for the kids to run amok while adults are downstairs. The kitchen infrastructure is perfectly sufficient. The master bed is very good. The open floor plan is great for an extended family gathering. Lots of natural light. The drawback is that the living room is dark when the sun goes down. Even with all the lamps on reading a book is uncomfortable. The only minor point of complaint is that the house sleeps 12, but the dinner table sits 6. I doubt this would be a problem in the summer when the big deck isn't covered in snow. We had a great time and would consider returning.

Needs updating
This was our first time at blackbutte and didn't know about these extra fees when checking in, when the rental cost is already high these addition costs make it that we should get have better services then Sunriver. Which I didn't find any.
At this house we had to do all laundry, clean and put away dishes before we could leave, which I've never had before. Though this place had two washers and dryers they still took two cycles to get dry. As for the dish washer it took about 2 hours for its cycle so you better make sure you start it right after breakfast if you want to leave by check out. Then we had to take all our garbage to the dump, which were I slipped on my butt and got hurt because the dump didn't de ice the area. All other houses that we have rented had cleaning and garbage service, why did we have to do 50% of the cleaners job.
Also this might be me but if your house say that it can have up to 10 people then there should be enough dinning chairs available so that everyone can sit and eat at the table. Even if that's having extra folding chairs in the closest.
As for the cooking supplies, I felt like I was cooking and eating on goodwill pans and plates, the only nice thing was the oven in the kitchen. Overall this house needs a some upgrades, some new hardware (I think my great grandma house had the same light fixtures and door knobs), paint, TV in the bedrooms this house would be fun again but right now it needs help.

We had 3 kids and 5 adults and we fit well. The kitchen is small but well stocked. The location is in the flatter parts of Black Butte, which made bike rides easy to the closest pool.

Birthday Celebration
We rented this amazing house to celebrate our daughter turning 17. It was big enough for all of us and provided plenty of separate hang out spaces for everyone. The house is well stocked. The location is amazing! The entire experience was top notch. This was our first stay in Black Butte and we'll definitely be back!

We've been coming to black butte for five years now for an annual family get away and we all agreed this was one of our favorite homes. The layout was great so you were together but not on top of each other and the kids area was fantastic. It's on the edge of the compound so you have a lot of privacy and great places to walk. We'd come back in a heartbeat.
