About this cabin rental
Escape to an Old Florida getaway on the Weeki Wachee River without leaving comfort behind. Situated on the main river—not on a canal—across from the Weeki Wachee Preserve, this beautifully decorated, picturesque 2/2 private cabin is the perfect place to unwind and experience nature at its best.
Relax on the cabin’s well-lit, fan-cooled 12’x24’ riverfront porch, watch the manatees that frequent the property’s two large docks, fish off the docks, or venture into the water in one of the cabin’s kayaks to explore this hidden paradise.
Inside the cabin, cathedral ceilings create an open, airy space. The living area is perfect for TV or family time, and the fully equipped kitchen includes everything needed to create and enjoy a full meal: a flat-top range, over-range microwave, roomy refrigerator, ice maker, dishwasher, disposal, toaster, coffee maker, dishes, and cooking utensils. The dining room table seats six.
In the evening, the master bedroom’s queen-sized bed and the second bedroom’s two twin beds invite guests to a peaceful night’s sleep without city lights and noise. The property’s two bathrooms include showers and a large, full-size soaking tub.
The cabin is loaded with modern-day comforts including WiFi throughout the house and Spectrum cable. A washer and dryer are provided, and the property is wheelchair accessible. We are sorry that we cannot accept pets of any kind.
*Cleaning fee is doubled if you check in on the following holidays: Christmas, Thanksgiving, Easter or Fourth of July*

Perfect location on the river with clean and comfortable cabin, well-stocked kitchen, and great outdoor amenities. Kayaks provided a wonderful experience. Will definitely return!

Love this location ON the Weeki Wachee. It was our 1st time to this area. We really wanted to stay on the river, instead of a canal, and this place was exactly what we were looking for.
Of course there were people constantly enjoying the river, going up and down, but otherwise it felt so private (just our thing). There's good natural trees and growth/fencing between both neighbors, that sitting on the back porch, we felt secluded, just us and the river, and the forest on the other side of the river.
It was easy to find, and to access, parking right near the front door, and no steps/stairs to load/unload our trip supplies. Plenty of parking!
The cabin was very clean!! And we LOVE the bathroom addition. New, very roomy, and well designed. The entire cabin was perfect for us. Open, huge kitchen, and comfortable bedroom and living room. We slept well on the bed, too. And all for a reasonable price.
Thank you !!
We rented kayaks from the state park, which was truly gorgeous and unique. Another day, we rented a GoBoat - with a couch! That was an awesome way to explore and enjoy the Weeki Wachee ! We ate at the Upper Deck - which was great, and we did see manatee a few times around the cabin's dock !!
Surprisingly, the river is tidal, so sometimes, the water was very low around the docks, and other times, it came over the shorter one on the left. That was interesting!
We can't wait to go back !!

This is our 3rd time staying at this house. It’s had a master bathroom added since our last stay, which was a great addition. The house was very clean and had everything you needed. We love this house for the location. It’s a perfect spot on main river. The host was very quick to respond and a pleasure to work with. We will be booking again next summer!

Location was awesome. Manatees right out front!

This house is much cuter in person than in pictures! Everything was well stocked and just a short paddle to crystal clear waters. We had a great time and will return.

Rented for the location since its by the river while it has a nice beach spot. Property manager was very responsive and accomodating. Updated and great space for a family.

We had a great stay. Very clean, nice and pretty place. Everything was in order. We had no issues. The only thing that was off was the photos representing the river out in front of the docks. The pictures made it look like it was all clear and shallow all the way across the river. It looked like though it had been dredged in the middle and deep. The neighbors next door (also a VRBO or AirBNB) said they've been coming there for 12 years straight and never seen it that deep that you could walk across and it used to be only about 4-5 ft. across at all times. She was also disappointed with it and their representation of it. She has photos from last year on her phone and it's much different. Still nice vacation spot. All the crystal clear water is up river by kayak, boat or wave runner.

Stayed here last year in July and loved it so much came back for my birthday. Great location on the river with access to canoe and kayaks. We had a Manatee family with a new born come visit our docks. House is super clean and has everything you need including ample towels which we wound up needing. We also took advantage of the grill to cook up some dogs and burgers. A huge bathroom has been added to the master bedroom which even improved the experience. The only negative we had this year, which of course is beyond owners control are the new house buyers next door. They blasted music for an entire 2 days while we were attempting to enjoy the serenity of the river. I would bring a loud Bluetooth speaker so at least you can hear your music and not there’s. I totally plan on coming back hopefully in the fall if not next year. Thanks for sharing your cabin with us again. Can’t wait for our next stay!!!!

We enjoyed our time on the Weeki Wachee River. The house is well-located on the upstream side of town so in about 10 minutes you can paddle upstream to where the clearer blue water is. Also about 10 minutes upstream is a pontoon boat selling hot dogs and ice cream which was fun! The further upstream you go, the fewer people you’ll see. (We stayed during spring break which I think is peak high season for Weeki Wachee.) It was great to have kayaks at the house, although there were two days where the tide was so low that we had to go through mud to get the kayaks out from the dock and to the river. I think this was due to a strong easterly wind and maybe a full moon — not sure? The house was clean and nicer than it appears in the pictures. The furniture was comfortable, the kitchen well-stocked with everything we needed, and there were plenty of towels for both bathing and swimming. Would stay there again for sure!

We had stayed here many times before under the previous Owner. Erika has done many upgrades that have made the cabin much more comfortable. My favorite part is still the classic Grumman canoe and the best part of the rive to start paddling from. The cabin had everything we needed and there were no issues. A perfect stay.

House is pretty far up river. So water is always clear. Great little house. Nice grill and dock. Large sandbar out front. Great times.

I have rented the same property for 5 years without issue until my recent rental with the new owner Erika. This lady alleges that she has owned this property for 3 years, when it really is less than two.
It should be noted that most of the good reviews belong to the previous owner, when I went to rent this year I saw that there were a few negative reviews, which at this moment they are not there because they have been deleted, keep them in mind. The owner, Erika, asked that they be removed due to non-compliance with the rules. All of these guests were very upset that Erika was charging additional fees and making insurance claims for damages that were never caused.
My first piece of advice, when you arrive at this property and before you leave, take pictures of everything, EVERYTHING, even what seems like it's not important, do it. Every shelf, every corner, carpet, wall, etc. The number of dishes, glasses that the place has.
If you want to avoid extra charges at the end of your stay, then the day you leave, you must do the cleaning work (something you already paid for when you book), leave everything ready for the next reservation, because otherwise she will demand that you pay more and automatically the money will come out of your card. I am sure that this review will help many to take photos and will prevent her from being able to falsie accuse you of damages and charge more. It is a pity that the application does not allow me to write more characters and detail everyth

We normally go to Keys each summer but decided to stay local and live on the Weeki Wachee river for a week. We love both locations but the kids found swimming with the dolphins, manatees and in the crystal clear water as top notch!
We will reserve this location again.

Our stay at your river front cabin was wonderful. Really clean and comfortable for our family. There are a few things that need some improvement but they are minor. The vacuum needs replacing, it smells really bad and leaves a terrible odor in the cabin during and for hours after using. The grass carpets are beautiful but super rough on bare feet, and the stones around the kayaks are so sharp almost like stepping on legos, no one wore shoes during our stay. The yellow kayaks were perfect for my 9 year old but they did fill up with water fairly quickly, but she loved them! And your outside water hose needs replacing. All minor things. We swam in the beautiful cool clear water everyday. The tide was low enough sometimes that we played badminton and frisbee in the river. There were manatees swimming by everyday. We rented a John boat from the local marina and puttered along with hundreds of other people on the water. Interesting and scary at times. Our family thoroughly enjoyed your cabin on the water. And we will return.

This is such a perfect little place for our vacation. The cabin itself is very clean, stocked with kitchenware, a nice covered back porch, two docks right on the river, several options for kayaks/canoes, and a gas grill. We were able to watch two mamma manatees and their babies daily, a dolphin, blue crabs, fish, and a bull shark right off the docks. We had such a great week and we’re so sad to have it end. Can’t wait to come back in the future.

Great house right on the river for a family of four. During our stay we saw plenty of Manatees and even a dolphin cruising the river. We used the Kayaks every day and enjoyed access to the middle of the river around sunset when most boat traffic empty’s out. It’s a really good location as houses further up the river are deeper water and makes it tough just to hang out. As far as the house, 1 king bed and two singles. Each room has Smart TV with cable. Erica was also a fantastic host with great communication. We are already talking about rebooking here in Nov. Thanks Erica!

This is a great location. Update has been made on decorating place. I did like that. I still had a hard time sleeping in beds. ( just a little to soft for me)
So many extra things in kitchen to help cook with.

My hubby & I had the pleasure of renting this cabin to celebrate our 20th anniversary. It is nicely updated & was perfect for the two of us! The kitchen had everything we needed and the bed was comfy, which we were very grateful for.
The location is great! We loved being on the main river & were visited by manatee. Pine Island beach is a 10 minute drive, so you get the best of both worlds. It was a relaxing trip. Couldn't have asked for anything better!

My husband and I stayed here with two of our sons for an amazing week of Old Florida charm & beauty! This cottage checked off all the boxes: 1) ON the river- (not a canal) with kayaks & gear : we paddled everyday of our seven day stay: it’s 3 hours by kayak, up the river, to the Weeki Wachee spring and 11/2 hours back. (Fantastic current takes you downstream w/ minimal effort ) 2) Guaranteed to see Manatee: we made our way to “Hospital Hole” everyday (25 minute paddle downstream”) to see the manatee that congregate. . . on one day we saw at least 8. . . Just awesome!! 3) The cottage had everything we needed! Well equipped kitchen, comfie sitting areas, inside and outside. . . We loved the propane grill! 4) Quiet & Very Safe: this cottage is nestled in a very nice neighbourhood: great for walking w/ happyville vibe! 5) Close to Pine Island Beach: this was so great, to be only minutes away from a very charming, crystal sandy beach. Well worth a day trip! 6) Natural Setting: this place is right across from the “Preserve”. . . We saw and heard a resident owl, and on our kayak travels we cited deer, an otter, and varied fish & birds!
So YES!! YES, YES! This is a hidden gem of a cottage! We loved our stay here and we were sad to say good-bye. In the future, we plan to come here again, to this cottage, to escape our Canadian cold and to bask in the beauty of Florida’s Nature Coast.

My kids and I try to come to Weeki Wachee every year and this is the first time we stayed on the actual Weeki Wachee and not a canal off of it. It was beautiful! And we did see a couple manatees from the dock! Wonderful stay!!
