This is a true island surrounded by the beautiful blue/green waters of the Gulf of Mexico. Located in Colony Don Pedro, deserted, white sandy beaches on the west side and intercoastal, backwaters on the east side. Put your car on the private ferry over to the island and feel the stress leave your body.
No traffic here. The only sounds you will hear are the fish jumping in the lagoon or the waves crashing the beach. Most days, Stan, our resident turtle will wake you as he passes by for a few green beans or a few chomps on our hibiscus flowers.
Just 200 feet from your front door you can head south down the uninhabited beach, pass through the state park, about three miles and you are at the tip of Little Gasparilla Island. From that point south you are looking at Boca Grande. Head north up the beach about the same distance and visit the Palm Island Resort. Either direction you go the seashells and sharks teeth are under your feet. Watch for tarpon rolling, dolphins cruising, manatees, and loggerhead turtles bobbing their heads as you walk. Remember to take a dip in our gulf side private pool after your relaxing stroll.
Relax out back on the dock with your fishing pole. The snook, redfish, and trout are always there waiting to challenge you. Watch your bait, Jimmy the Egret will sneak up behind you and steal your fish food. Bring your boat and venture out into the fertile back country waters for giant snook, redfish, and tarpon. Or head down to Boca Grande or Stump Pass for world class Florida fishing.
So if you blew out your flip-flop, or stepped on a pop-top, relax you’re in paradise!

Absolutely enjoyed our stay from the first moment we arrived! Tracy, our host was very responsive. We couldn't have enjoyed the island more. One nice thing about the pool is that it sheltered, as we saw other pools that were on the ocean. When windy days occurred, our pool was perfect! The unit was perfect for the two of us. I’d say it would also be good for a family of four as the bathroom space is tight. The unit had everything we needed, and we especially liked using the wagon to bring things to the beach!

A short walk across the street to beach and a community pool. we visited in mid-September and were literally the only ones on the beach and in the pool. house was fully stocked. tracy was a great host, providing everything we needed, included detailed directions. we’ll be back.

We came to palm island just 6 weeks after hurricane Ian to celebrate our adult daughters birthday. The beach house was perfect, loved the fact that we did not have to bring our own beach chars etc. we literally were the only people on the beach. As Hurricane Nicole approached the other coast, our host was in communication with us regarding the ferry schedule etc. making sure we were ok and didn’t need anything,

This is the second year we stayed at Tracey's property. It is in a great location with easy access to the beach and also to a canal for boating and kayaking. The place is stocked with everything you need. Just bring clothes, toiletries, food and drink!! The rest is magic!!

Pure Serenity!
Upon boarding the ferry, my husband and I immediately felt a sense of total relaxation. To say this island is peaceful and serene is a great understatement. We have never been to a place or a beach that was as private as Don Pedro Island. I don't think we saw more than 10-12 families on the entire stretch of beach as far as we could see on the busiest day. Upon arriving at Incommunicado, we felt at home and settled right in. Tracy had left a hand-written note in the kitchen welcoming us, and her pre-check-in communications more than prepared us for our stay and how to make the most of our vacation. The unit was fully equipped for everything we needed and more! And the master bed was one of the most comfortable I've ever slept on in a rental or hotel. We had such a relaxing stay and everyone we met on the island was so friendly. The beach and pool are literally only a few steps away and it was so nice to be able to run back and forth to the house as needed on a very short walk. A couple of takeaways from our trip: 1) make sure you have what you need before you get on the island or be prepared to pay the $38 round trip ferry ticket. Walmart and Publix are very near the ferry launch and an easy stop on your way in. Load up and make sure you have what you need before getting on the island. Coconuts, the little store at the resort, has a very small selection of basic items. They are not a full service store. We opted to buy an additional ticket and spend one day of our trip visiting Little Gasparilla Island and Boca Grande. It was lots of fun and a great way to break up the week and explore more of the area. We stopped at Publix on the way back to pick up a few things we forgot on the way in. 2) We were expecting to catch some fish either off the dock or surf fishing. We are experienced in both fresh and saltwater fishing and used a combination of different types of live bait and tackle every day we were there. Sadly, we only caught one catfish off the back dock. If you are looking for the Florida fishing experience, I suggest booking a charter. Others we saw fishing didn't catch anything either. We saw black drum, snook, and tarpon swimming and jumping, but they weren't biting. There were lots of "bait fish" swimming, so perhaps they had plenty to eat without entertaining what we had to offer. Regardless of the fishing, we had a wonderful time and would definitely recommend Incommunicado for a comfortable, peaceful stay on Don Pedro Island!

Sincerely a home away from home
Before our trip even began . We had amazing communication on inquiring on additional person accommodation. Pleasure to interact with always. This home is absolutely what the pictures show and so much more. From time of arrival until departure absolutely serene & peaceful. The beach location was just walk across a sleepy dirt road for one of the prettiest beaches in Florida. Not another person on it for 3 or more football fields. So private. The kitchen has all accessories to a home I could possibly want or need. They also have a play toy bin for children. The outside shower was so convenient and a fun way to clean up from the beach. We also used the kayaks too. So much or little to do. Truly a slice of paradise. We will certainly be back.

Beachy Get-away
We LOVE the beach! So this island location was perfect for our family. We enjoyed the sunshine and ocean waves during the day and chasing crabs at night. We were impressed with the house and all the imenties included. The outdoor shower was amazing after a day on the beach. Would highly recommend this property to island lovers.

This place was awesome! We had such a wonderful time on the island. It has everything you need to enjoy yourself and was super clean, which I really appreciate! Tracy is also the best, when we got there we didn’t have Wi-Fi and then lost power for the night; she told us where the candles, water and flashlights where and kept us update to date on when everything would come back on and then checked on us the next morning! Better then Palm Island Resort
We went to a family wedding at the resort. When we needed to change our reservation to a smaller unit, they couldn't accommodate us so we found this spot. It was cleaner, better maintained and a better value than the Resort. The beach walk from this location to the Resort was lovely, and took about 40 minutes. A good choice!

The owners chase created a super cute super wonderful home away from home for vacationers. They have taken care to see all the details of ensuring their guests experience a problem free vacation, such as super comfortable beds, well appointed kitchen with better utensils and cookware, super clean and comfortable furniture. Even the towels are folded with care! A hammock awaits visitors for a relaxing read or nap. Kayaks, beach chairs and toys for beach goers . You won't be disappointed!

Tracy and Tony have a beautiful property they keep well maintained with everything you need to relax and have a great beach getaway. We enjoyed the first floor patio with hammock daily!! The private outdoor shower was also a great amenity and made it easy to clean off the sand from the beach. The location of their property is perfect. This was one of the best experiences we have had. Tracy worked with us on a last minute vacation and she didn't miss a beat in helping us get right in and situated on such short notice. The house was perfect!!! Clean, stocked, and close to the beach and pool. She had everything we needed to accommodate us in the house and also on any adventures we took outside. From kayaking, fishing, to beach lounging she had you covered. Ferry ride is very short and you wont want to leave anyway. Everything you might need is a short ride away at the resort. Golf cart rentals are very reasonable and those ladies are amazing!! The staff and dining at the restaurant there were top notch as well. I would definitely recommend to anyone looking to get away and enjoy a wonderful slice of paradise. I can't wait to book with her for all our future getaways for our family. It truly was that great!!
