About this house rental
Extraordinary 3 BR/1 Bath, Central A/C, Fresh Furnishings & Design!
This is not your grandmother’s cottage! Totally updated 3 BR/1 Bath beach house close enough to the beach to hear the surf at night! Beautiful kitchen, bath, deck, furniture, grill, and outdoor shower!
Narraganset is a beautiful town that has something for everyone. With many beaches to choose from--Scarborough Beach, Narragansett Town Beach, Roger Wheeler State Beach, and Salty Brine State Beach are all a short drive away. Narragansett is close to the Block Island Ferry, which makes for a lovely day trip. Grab lobsters off the boat in Galilee! Also close are Providence, Newport, Mohegan Sun Casino and Foxwoods Casino.
Sleeping capacity for 8….1 queen, 2 twins, a bunk bed with full size mattresses. Out back, find a newly added fire pit with Adirondack chairs, perfect for s'mores on a warm summer night. All the promise for a memorable vacation!
The Sand Hill Cove area (Roger Wheeler Beach) is ideal for families. This popular beach has a full pavilion, a playground, restrooms, and several lunch options. A calm and shallow swimming area has been created by a series of breakwaters – a comfortable option for the young waders and swimmers.
The long beach days are not complete until you pick the evening's lobsters right from the fishing boats in Galilee (just a five-minute drive), gather the farm-fresh corn and heirloom tomatoes at Sunset Farm and stop by Aunt Carrie's for an ice cream cone after a hot summer day. Tucked away in a quiet neighborhood but still just minutes to restaurants, shopping, water sports and nightlife. Newport is 1/2 hour by car, Block Island is 1/2 hour by boat; Foxwoods and Mohegan Sun are 45 minutes away, Providence too.
Entire Place
**Bed sheets, bath towel sets, hand towels, kitchen towels, and bathmats will arrive in a big linen bag at your doorstep. The items are packaged in plastic to ensure that each renter is given a fresh set for their stay. This will mean making the beds, as I like to make sure that is understood as part of our efforts to put our renters' minds at ease regarding the cleanliness of the linens. Starter supplies are provided with each rental. Starter sets include at least: one roll of paper towels, one roll of toilet paper in each bathroom, one dishwasher pod, one laundry pod, three trash bags, a new sponge, and small bars of hand soap in each bathroom. Guests will need to bring anything they'll need beyond those starter supplies.

We always have a wonderful stay. Great location and clean!
Needs an update to bathroom (shower kept breaking ) and maybe to bed linens

Great summer spot to relax, go to beach, eat delicious seafood, visit Block Island and have lots of ice cream!

A five minute walk to Sand Hill Cove. Comfortable and cute house with all the amenities- especially central air and an awning on the deck so you can sit comfortably outside without blaring sun. Awning was best feature!

Overall, our experience at the house was nice with close access to the beach. The sofa and chair in the living room need to be upgraded as they’re really worn out and ripped in places. The bunk beds are also a bit unstable.

Great location for an easy beach week! We can sand, sun, and surf every day with ease!

Location was ideal; a short walk to the beach. Biking to Camp Cronin, Galillee and Scarborough we do-able as well. The awning was great for the deck to enjoy the seabreeze without being too hot.
Thank you, will definitely be back!

Our stay was great at this cozy and convenient beach house. It was extremely clean and well cared for and the ease of getting to the beach makes it a perfect location.

This is the second time we have stayed at this house. It is a short walk to the beach. They have all the things you need such as beach cart, chairs and toys. There is central AC and this is most welcome in the hot summer. The house is so clean and updated. A most welcome place to stay in Narragansett and we have stayed at many other homes. This is the best!

Great week away with the family
My wife and I were looking for a place to take our two young kids for a beach vacation, and this house was perfect for us. 3BR, 1 Bath + outdoor shower. We'd planned to rent a beach cart and chairs, but there was a cart and a pair of chairs at the house. It was a quick walk to the beach. The gentle surf of this Roger Wheeler state beach was perfect for our young kids.
Back at the house, we spent afternoon/evenings out on the deck and in the back yard. It was buggy a few days, but bug spray kept the mosquitos at bay.
We walked to Aunt Carrie's for ice cream (w/ a stoller), Iggy's for takeout. Quick drive to the fish market at the port, and grilled up the fresh caught fish on the gas grill outside. Newport (30m) and Mystic aquarium (45m) are close enough for fun day trips. We'd come back to this house again. The rental company was great, too.

We loved the location of this house, very quiet neighborhood within walking distance of beach. The house had everything we needed for the beach, including beach chairs, umbrella, and toys for the kids. We would definitely stay here again!

Nice updated beach house
Overall, a really nice, updated little beach house in a fantastic location with a great backyard. Updated kitchen and bath, new-ish floors. Comfortable beds, though agree with other reviews that the pillows could be better, but that's a minor complaint. Enjoyed an easy walk to the beach and to Iggy's/Aunt Carrie's. It was also a pretty easy walk to the Block Island Ferry. Made a great home base for us to visit family in the area!

Great location
Awesome spot for a 5 min walk to the beach! House was very clean and had everything needed for the stay. Fire pit and outside shower were nice touches. Overall everything was great. The pillows could use an update is the only complaint.

Nice cottage
The management company was quick and great with responding quickly .The place has a great location to the beach . The cottage could’ve been a little cleaner because when we arrived the kitchen table still have food crumbs leftover from the last guest that ate there and the outdoor garbage bins were all full. Overall though it was a really nice experience staying at the cottage !

Nice Location, Updated Interior
There were a lot good and not so great things about this beach rental. The interior is way more modern than what I've seen in other beach rentals. That being said I don't know if this is a usual thing but they only left us one roll of toilet paper for a place that sleeps 10. We didn't realize it until late at night so that was not pleasant.
Cons: I am not a fan of having to bring your own linens and hand towels either. The pillows were so cheap and flat we had to go to Target and buy our own. The 2 twin beds were hard and not comfortable. The queen size bed was a better quality mattress. Also they should get a recycle bin for inside the house.
Good things: Central air controlled by the Nest. Water pressure on the inside and outside shower. Fire pit is a great addition. Adults could walk to the Roger Wheeler state beach. We drove to the beach; we have a child and therefore so much equipment. You can hear the ocean when you are outside on the deck. Nice neighborhood. I felt safe. Cute wild bunnies outside in the yards. Smart TV in the living room. 2 wifi signals and good strength.
For the price paid I think they could have splurged on some TP, better pillows and twin bed mattresses.

Nice Substitute. Loved the backyard bunnies.
The Melville House was offered to us after our original rental had a last minute issue. The place is spacious and very well cleaned. We only needed 2 bedrooms but this space was equipped for big parties. It is equipped with all standard basics. We have little kids so the walk to the beach seemed long even though it was about 10 minutes but the drive was short. It was easy to get to all main attractions in the area. Quiet neighborhood. Scarborough Beach was clean. I feel this place is best for adults and families with teens. Our favorite surprise was coming back from the beach everyday to find a mother and 2 young bunnies in the yard.

Clean, comfortable... a winner!
This home was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped. Loved the available beach gear, and outdoor shower. Management company was easy to communicate with. Neighborhood is quiet, and an easy walk to Roger Wheeler beach. Recommended for families! Will definitely consider staying here again.

Clean, bright small cottage walk to beach
Clean, bright small cottage with easy access to beach. I made a few easy to address suggestions and sent them to the property management company. Bunk bed has two full size mattresses so bring full size sheets.

Perfect Beach Getaway
We really enjoyed our stay at this property. Fully renovated, lots of sleeping room, kitchen has all the necessary items, and the deck/fire pit are added amenities that made our weekend even better! Walking distance to the beach is also a huge plus.
Only downside was check out at 10:30am and having to bring the keys to the management office as we were all from out of town.

WonderfulCozy near beach cottage! Great memories made!
We had a wonderful stay! With 2 small children Roger Wheeler Beach was a great destination for us and this cozy cottage allowed us to have easy access to the beach. We enjoyed cooking out on the grill and roasting marshmallows over the fire pit. Great restaurants all nearby and a very responsive rental company. We will be back!

Cute house close to beach
This is an adorable, clean beach house. It has all the comforts of home available: washer/dryer, dishwasher, central air.
It was a 7 min easy walk to the beach. Roger Wheeler Beach is perfect for families. It has a playground and doesn't get too crowded.
Also very impressed with the property management company. They were extremely responsive and helpful.
We would rent this house again next summer.

Cute, cozy cottage near the beach!
Updated, cozy cottage with modern stainless appliances and cute beach decor. Walking distance to the Roger Wheeler beach and pretty sunsets from the side porch. Nice flat screen t.v. in living area and bunk room. The only drawback is you have to bring your own sheets and towels or rent them.. other than that.. perfect little spot for a vacation at the beach!

Fantastic
We spent a week at this great property! This was the cleanest, nicest place we have stayed in RI. Walking distance to beach, had a beach wagon, toys, and even toys for the kids to play with when inside. Roger Wheeler State beach is excellent for small children. We will definitely be back!
