The Neighborhood
It is peaceful and avoids the tourist crowd of summer in the downtown area which is easily accessible. Watch the elks graze right by the house in the early mornings and late in the day. Safeway is the grocery store in town, which is a 10-15 minute drive. We shop at it and they have the best fuel rates for the car. There is an inexpensive Redbox in the Safeway grocery store where you can rent movies in DVD format. Hike Bear Lake, and Sprague Lake, and visit the Alluvial Fan waterfall in the Rocky Mountain National Park for spectacular photographs. Lily Lake in Rocky Mountain National Park is less than a 10-minute drive from our home. Drive up to Trail Ridge Pass in summer and have lunch near the skies. You can do a day trip starting in the morning all the way past Trail Ridge Pass to Grand Lake on the other side and you may spot some moose on the way. Shop and eat downtown at the many shops and eateries and picnic by the river in the park by the post office. Hike the trail around the lakes that you will see when coming into town-Lake Estes and along the river downtown. Do a boating tour on the lake. For those with young kids, use the children's playground at Stanley Park off Fish Creek Road. Enjoy the Spring season flowers. Get away from the heat of summer to cool mountain evenings needing a jacket. Go white water rafting through the many companies that advertise online or do some horseback riding in the park or right near our home. Putt-putt golf with the family in Estes Park by the river at 2 locations. Trout fish at Trout Haven in Estes Park and grill or broil the fish for dinner. Flyfish the Thompson River. Enjoy the spectacular 4th of July fireworks over Estes Lake without excessive large city traffic by lazing on your chair or picnic blanket at Stanley Park. There is the farmers market every Thursday in summer at the Estes Park Fairgrounds from 8 am-12:30 pm. There are seasonal arts and crafts and food festivals that you can look up online. They have free concerts downtown in the summer. Use the swimming pool at the Aquatic Center for a very small fee by Stanley Park. Watch the stars at night on the deck of the house or go to the observatory off Fish Creek Road by Stanley Park to see the far stars and planets. The Scottish/Irish Festival starts at the beginning of fall and enjoy the aspens turning gold and yellow in fall. That is when the elks start bugling and so always stay away from the elks at any time of the year as they are massive 500-700 lb wild animals. Winter brings the beautiful white snow that can be watched as Longs Peak, Mt. Meeker, and the Twin Sisters accumulate snow for the holiday season. The holiday lights twinkle in the snow. Cuddle up by the fireplace and tell stories to each other while eating popcorn and drinking hot cocoa. Go ice skating downtown or at the YMCA. Go sledding on the hills in the Rocky Mountain National Park with the family. You can snowshoe walk or cross-country ski. If you wish to do some downhill skiing then drive 45 minutes to the Boulder ski resort area. The ski resort in Nederland is 42 miles from our home. Estes Park is for all seasons and will create everlasting memories for you, your family, and your friends and we are happy to be part of your experience.

If you wish to come to a longer and more scenic route (2 hours) then go through Loveland from I-25 N exit 257/Hwy 34; turn left on Hwy 34 to Estes Park.

Please leave it at the same place when leaving for other guests. Thank you in advance for cooperating with us!

Beautiful Log Home was perfect! Location was great, and very easy to get to Downtown Estes Park and Rocky Mountain National Park. House was everything that we expected. Plenty of room for 3 couples. We would definitely stay again!

We loved our stay here! We had 6 adults & 3 kids & there was plenty of space for all of us. The location was great to get to Rocky Mountain National Park without having to go through the center of Estes Park & so close to all of the fun in Estes Park too. The neighborhood was quiet and the views were amazing to wake up to. The house was very well stocked with everything we needed & was very clean. We would love to stay here again!

Nicely updated home with plenty of space. Everything worked properly and chatting with the host was quick and easy. Has a wonderful view off the porch with a stream across the road adding ambient sounds. With such a large amount of space for gathering it is unfortunate that you can't get folks to the property with the limited parking restrictions by the City (there's also no other parking in the area). Unfortunately rowdy guests have put a lot of scrutiny on the owners by the neighbors so if you are willing to be a courteous guest you should have no issues.

The home is located outside the busy Estes Park corridor. The views from the deck are incredible. Wildlife abounds and the home is well stocked. It has everything you need and fit our group of 8 well. Only downside was the hot tube was off limits just before we came. Otherwise, pictures and description is accurate. Owners are easy to commicate with and very professional. Would stay here again when in the area!

Wonderful stay at a very comfortable cabin with a spectacular view and porch.

The only issue we ran into was that the jacuzzi tub didn’t work, we had been looking forward to that. Otherwise it was a great place to stay, great communication, great view of the mountains! We had a wonderful time and were all comfortable in this house! It was a nice place to come back to after being out in the park exploring in the cold

My family stayed there just recently and arrived just before the area was bombarded with 36 inches of beautiful snow. The scenery around us was stunning to look at. RMNP was closed do to the snow, so everyone played games, hung out and relaxed. Nice place to be shut in at. Thanks for a lovely stay.

Great property, although I’m not happy with the amount of work we have to do before we leave. This place is expensive and we pay the cleaning fee for a reason. Apparently it’s to help the cleaning staff, cleaning staff is at work and we are on vacation. It’s worth thinking about having a cleaning staff do more of the cleaning and not put so much on the guest in the future. People have packing and kids to take care and don’t want to have to worry about washing dishes and stripping beds and setting thermostats before they leave.

Nice place with good amenities! Hot tub was very nice. Host provided plenty of towels, blankets, kitchen supplies, etc! No complaints at all! Would stay again!

We chose this property over others because it had A/C and a massage chair. We will book again because of the stunning view. We enjoyed watching the wildlife in the morning and star gazing at night, but the view of the mountains was absolutely captivating! We didn't want to leave, but we could not extend our stay because this ideal cabin was booked solid. I'll have to book further ahead for our next trip because word will spread fast about this mountain jewel.

We enjoyed our time in Estes Park and in this cabin. It was lovely, comfortable, enough room for everyone (10 of us), well located, and had a great view. Great trip!

Beautiful location. House comfortably slept all 9 of us. Situated perfectly for all the wedding events we had to attend in Estes Park. We failed to heed the warning of only one “starter “ roll of toilet paper and 1 roll paper towels (and we had two 7 yr olds and one 4 yr old.). But that is only thing that caught us off guard and easy drive to local Safeway for paper products and other provisions. We even got to watch herd of elk graze across the field!! And young and old enjoyed playing Eye Spy board game!! Thumbs up !!

Great cabin, with great views. Mary kept open communication about the cabin and our stay there from the moment we booked it. She even recommended some restaurants in the area when I asked. I highly recommend the elk burgers at Burgers & Gyros, and breakfast at You Need Pie!. There was so much to do around the area that we weren’t able to fit it all in. Some evenings we just preferred to stay at the cabin to watch a doe with her two fawns. Other days we had elk and mule deer walk right across the driveway. The area was so peaceful. It was just what our family needed.

The view was breathtaking. Being able to view the mountains and the local wildlife was a highlight of our stay. The home worked very well for our family and we all thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The host was extremely helpful and responded promptly to any questions that we had. The bedroom and bed configuration was exactly as it was listed and comfortable like a family home.
It was a wonderful week!

Mary was a great host-very responsive. My family enjoyed our time in Estes - great location (close to RMNP, trails, town, restaurant but away enough to enjoy the amazing mountain view from the deck).

Great people to rent from, needed extra pellets for the fire place, they deliver an entire pallet of 50lb bags🤣. The house was so beautiful, the view was so awesome, my only question is,, how can someone own this property, and not live there forever? See you next March💖💫

We enjoyed staying at this home in Estes Park with family after Thanksgiving. The large multiple windows frame a beautiful view of the mountains and valley, and the stars at night. We enjoyed watching a herd of elk that grazed nearby!

The beds were comfortable, and kitchen was fully equip. The house was comfortable, and view from the front deck was amazing. The couch was a giant cloud of comfortableness!
I knew in advance that there were external cameras on the property, but after receiving a text from the owner of a gate not properly shut we didn't feel 100% comfortable that we weren't being monitored.

We enjoyed the property and were especially thankful for the washer/dryer.

Overall...beautiful house with wonderful views, quiet neighborhood, and just minutes from Estes Park & RMNP. Spacious kitchen & family room. Only downside was the comfort of the beds.

Great Views, Quiet Location
The property was clean, beautiful and the host was responsive and easy to communicate with. It's a rustic feel with plenty of luxury! The porch is a perfect place to have dinner and take in the view of the Mountains and watch the deer passing through.

We loved our stay here! The house is beautiful and the view was spectacular! The hot tub was great after hiking and it was easy access to town. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Views are the highpoint
If i could give a rating just for views, outdoor space and host responsiveness, it would be a 10! Reason for the 4 rating is mainly due to (in our family's opinion) pretty uncomfortable beds and old/need to be replaced bath towels, and a few other things that weren't functioning properly (but if possible, were fixed during our stay). LIsting references new appliances, but not all are top performing - dryer took a very long time and grill needs to be replaced. Excellent fridge and microwave. Home in general is very clean, however a lot of wear and tear showing. Mary, the host, is extremely helpful and responsive. If i contacted her about any issue, she reponded within minutes and if needed sent someone over to take care of things. Very impressive. The house is in a good location - just 10 mins to downtown Estes and RMNP. The views from this house are stunning and the outdoor spaces to enjoy them are very nicely done, with lots of different seating areas. We saw elk in fields across the street. Nice quiet area.

Beautiful area
Overall beautiful home. Third bathroom we found the last day…it’s in the garage. Would have like to have had a few more screens on windows to open up more windows. And some windows were hard to open.

Estes Park VRBO Weekend Stay
We had a wonderful weekend stay at your beautiful home. Great views and the house was very nice.
Only thing that I would say needs to be checked into was the operation of the hot tub. Some of the jets did not function but this did not inhibit the use of it.
Thank You!

Amazing views!
We had a great stay and my kids loved the cabin feel. They said they felt like they were in the mountains. The view up there was absolutely amazing! Only thing is I wish we had more direction for the pellet fire place. The hot tub is huge and clean and we hope to stay again maybe later this year!
