We enjoyed our week even though we were there during Hurricane Debby. Our host was very accommodating and responsive.

The layout of the house was great! Several places for teenagers to hangout separate from parents and grandparents. Location was nice for privacy as well as being able to walk to shops and restaurants. The view was amazing!

Incredible home in a great location. Loved the private pool and the beach outside the door. Enjoyed watching dolphins from the boardwalk and great sunsets. House was well stocked with all essentials for a wonderful vacation.

Group of friends staying on the island for a weekend of golf. Incredible in every way! Highly recommend the location as it’s second to none

Plenty of room, glorious views, easy walk to town on lovely shaded lanes

The location and view were great. The house was certainly unique with it's round design.
We felt the kitchen wasn't very well appointed. The silverware and plates were of poor quality. There wasn't enough silverware to support 12 people and only 4 wine glasses for our group of 12 ladies was not enough.
But the biggest problem was the downstairs bedroom when it rained. There was a very loud drip that came off the roof and hit a metal ledge 2 floors below. It sounded like glass cracking and made it impossible to sleep. Unfortunately it rained 3 out of the 4 nights that we were there.

Loved the location. Quiet. Being on the southern tip of Saint Simon’s Island, we received both the sunrise and the sunset. Great views from many rooms in the house. Direct access to the ocean with all sandy bottom.
Well appointed kitchen. Multiple gathering areas. Interesting, modern layout. Loved every bit of our stay. Property owner was easy to work with, responsive and flexible.

This was our second time staying at this house. Beautiful views, plenty of room, nice amenities. The property manager was amazing….responded to any inquiries in a timely manner and was always courteous and helpful. We look forward to staying there again.

We really enjoyed our stay at this unique and beautiful property directly on the sound at the southern tip of SSI. The house is spacious and was cool and comfortable at all times of day even during 100-degree weather in one of the hottest weeks of this summer. The layout provides ample room for guests to spread out, relax, and enjoy meals and entertainment at their leisure.
Outside, the pool and beach are fantastic at most times of day, though low tide does mean that you have to walk out for some distance to reach the water. Local dolphins were frequently visible several times a day, and provided another great diversion from watching the sea and shorebirds and shipping passing up and down the channel.
Our group ranged in age from 11 to mid-70s, and the property was comfortable, easily accessible, relaxing and entertaining for all ages. Within easy walking distance of the SSI pier and lighthouse, and with a multitude of dining options at various price points, the property is well-suited to ensuring that your party is able to enjoy all that SSI has to offer.
Much thanks to the owner for the best vacation we've ever had on the island, and we look forward to returning as soon as possible.

Great location. Enough room for all. I had to call about AC but they were very prompt and fixed it. The elevator was great for my husband who has mobility issues. We enjoyed watching the ocean.

This was our third stay at this wonderful beach house. We love being in walking distance to the village. We love being so very close to the water, and we love the views, The owner is very responsive to any issues that come up. The house is quite spacious and there are enough separate rooms for anyone to find a quiet place to read a book.

Our group of 12 family members, aged 17 mos. to 77 years, had a wonderful stay in this architecturally dramatic house a few blocks from SS Village. The common rooms are spacious, and the variety of bedrooms worked out flexibly for our group. The 17-month-old slept in a packnplay in a commodious walk-in closet of one of the two master bedrooms. The views from the second and third floor windows are fabulous, and the furniture attractively sturdy for even the frolicking of our two toddlers. The beach is wide at low tide, lapping the private dock at high tide; we loved the variety. The pool suited our little swimmers better than the ocean, but it’s virtually on the beach, so we never felt that we had to choose between beach and pool. We walked into the village to check the pier, eat breakfast, do a bit of shopping, then walked back home through the leafy neighborhood. Our group hadn’t been to SSI since about 2006, and we now don’t want to skip even one year. It’s a beach community that hasn’t lost its soul despite its growth and popularity.

The house is amazing and situated in a very quiet area. Extremely relaxing and private. The owner was extremely responsive when we had a very minor snafu. It was quickly and efficiently taken care of!! We will definitely be staying again in the future. We have been coming to St. Simon for the past 10 yrs. and this is by far our favorite spot!

Our youngest daughter was in training for the Secret Service there so we decide to do a family Spring break and found this fabulous place on Vrbo! Was such a unique place right on the beach with a beautiful pool too!! Best hide & seek house ever for the little ones( there were 6 adults with 10 kids ages 10 to newborn) as it was 3 levels with many different awesome rooms. The kitchens view was amazing so totally enjoyed making home cooked meals for my kids AND for some of my daughters secret service trainee”friends whom don’t get home cooking so they were thrilled!! It was absolutely a fabulous trip at an amazing place. Oh and to top it off the cleaning service lady stopped by to see if we had any needs and when she saw all my grandchildren she actually made them home made cookies as she love’s children! That’s the kind of place ST. simons beach is. Amazing people. Beautiful places and if your lucky enough to get this house it’s the best!

For the first time, the actual house was even better than the pictures and exceeded my expectations entirely. This house is exquisite and you could not ask for a more perfect vacation home. It is truly right on the beach, the pool is lovely, and the unique round shape of the house allows for the most incredible water views. In addition, it’s just a quick (and beautiful) walk to town with tons to do and see. Joshua was so easy to work with, helpful, and quick to respond if I had a question. We are already thinking about when we can make it back to St. Simons and would love to stay at the house again.

This was a perfect place for our family reunion. The house made it even more special. Great location, well stocked, roomy and comfortable with all we needed. The two master bedroom suites was a first for us! Great views from many rooms, the pool and the beach. The host was easy to work with and responded quickly to any questions.

All girls birthday trip! Loved the house, location and SSI. So many things to see and do. Thank you!

This house was ideal for our family vacation and birthday celebration. It was wonderful to have the elevator to get luggage to the top floor where the bedrooms are. The location is perfect. Pool was great and the beach and access was great. My son-in-law taught the kids how to crab and we had crab with our eggs one morning. The balcony is perfect for sitting any time of the day or night. Great place!!

The home is large, spacious and it's location is private and quiet.
Most bathrooms need to be cleaned of mold and mildew. The kitchen clearly would benefit from an update. House need more plastic glassware to be used outside. There were almost none available.
Upon arrival, the previous renters left garbage in the garage. There was too much to fit in the can provided. The mess attracted bugs and the service would not pick up the extras. Eventually someone came to pick up after numerous phone cals and days of sitting on the curb.
No outside lights leading to the pool nor patio lights were working when we arrived, Had to call management. Still no working pool lights nor pool vacuum until the day we left.
Some windows were missing blinds in the bedrooms.

Dolphin's Daily
We enjoyed this spot. Saw dolphins at least twice daily from the deck. Good fishing from the back. Very pretty street with no traffic. Walking distance to town. Not much better than this.

A Delightful Getaway for Ten Friends
We had a wonderful stay at this unique and beautiful property. The house is huge, with spaces large enough to gather our whole group of ten people, but also separate spaces to split up into small groups or enjoy some alone time. Watching the ocean/sound while swimming in the pool was delightful. The view of the water from the kitchen and living room is spectacular. The master suite was a real treat, waking up to an unbelievable panorama of the water, taking a bath in the jacuzzi tub with a panorama of the water, big mirrors in the bathroom so you can see the water even when you're not facing the window. In short, the ocean/sound was a star, and the house is well designed to highlight the spectacular views!
The kitchen was stocked a little oddly (for example, a very limited number of plastic glasses to allow us to follow the no-glass-by-the-pool rule), and it wasn't well organized, but if you look through all the cabinets, you can mostly find what you need--no rubber spatula or measuring spoons though!

Great location
This well loved property is in a great location! You can walk to Mallery St and it has a nice beach at low tide. The property managers were VERY attentive when we needed them! There are a lot of great indoor spaces for people to work remotely. The elevator is nice when moving things from the ground floor. I recommend renting golf carts to get around the island. There are 3 bikes to use as well as a lot of beach and pool toys as well as chairs to bring to the beach.

Almost a premium experience
The location of this home is excellent . The views are amazing and short distance to the downtown area. Neighborhood is quiet and scenic.
The overall condition of the home is acceptable , however the home is beginning to show its age and is in need of some upgrades .
In any case, I would still recommend this property for a great getaway !

Great Location
Great location and beautiful view. As others have said, for the price I would expect the house to be updated a little more. There are some leaks in the roof, that drip into the house upstairs. We were in town for our sons wedding, the house was perfect for a big crowd.

Great location on the water……
We had a group of 6 stay at this lovely property. The location is perfect and walking distance to the little village with lots of restaurants. The property is a little tired and with a little TLC could be so much more. Little things like having amenities, such as shampoo, etc and a blow dryer would have been nice. While everything was cleaned, there was one room that had a mystery smell that lingered and required a guest to sleep on a chaise lounge.
Again, overall, a very nice property that could be so much more.

The 91 Gould property was a disappointment for our family. The pictures did not accurately describe the condition of the property. It was not a luxury home. The cabinetry looked to be made of plywood, for example and home dated in appearance. The chairs at the dining table were metal, and looked inexpensive. The house on the inside need to be painted and the outside power washed. The bottom room with the 2 bunkbeds had a bathroom shower that had a great deal of mold growing on the door. The walls in this area showed marks and splats where bugs had been killed and ledges in the room very dusty. I wiped them off. An upstairs bathroom had a shower curtain with expensive mold growing on it. The kitchen had poor sets of dishes, and the appliances were old. The oven had not been cleaned. The house needed a thorough cleaning. It was dirty, only surface cleaning had been done. I called to have someone come over and 2 ladies did but only cleaned the showers and replaced the curtain in the upstairs bedroom. They did not clean any of the floors. In my request for cleaning services, I stated that the bathrooms and the house was not thoroughly cleaned. We did enjoy the balcony each night with the family. However, the balcony also had not been swept. For a long awaited family gathering, this home was a disappointment and did not represent the luxury home presented in the pictures on the Vrbo website.

Vacation house in St. Simon
Beautiful large home with nice pool. Plenty of room for our family of 6 adults. Nice to be able to walk to downtown area for shopping and restaurants.
Overall We Loved the house- only issues were upon arrival the garage door was left open (Kind of weird) but everything was fine. For such a beautiful home the kitchen needs to be updated. The outdoor grill needs to be replaced. The owner of the home was very accommodating through all our communications. We would highly recommend this house and we would stay there again.

Happy Family
The property was perfect for our diverse group. Plenty of room for kids to play and adults to relax. The only disappointment was the elevator not working. However, the other amenities more then made up for it. We had a great time and hope to return next year!

Good home but not for elderly, disabled - read the details
First, this home is lovely (with some minor quirks) for the right group. The views are incredible, pool is lovely, and being right on the beach is fantastic. Nice living spaces. Also nice location close to everything.
We booked this home for our family of 10 (3 generations) in part because it had an elevator for my elderly mother. Unfortunately, the elevator was not working when we arrived and unable to be fixed. The owners were responsive, but unable to fix the problem during our stay. We spent the week with my mother getting trapped repeatedly in the elevator (we could get her out w/i 10 min or so) until she finally decided to leave. I would suggest not counting on the elevator until it is replaced.
There are also some other things to know about this house, although they are not all bad.
1) Not only is there no beach at high-tide, but the beach is not a fluffy sandy beach you want to sit out on all day. Rather, when the tide goes out, it is a really interesting beach - younger kids loved it for shells, crabs, etc. Good for walking/exploring.
2) There are some little things about the kitchen (picky I know, but helpful I think for future renters) - the water dispenser is ridiculously slow (may want to bring bottled H20); there is a lack of silverware (not enough spoons/forks for our entire group of 10 to use at one time); Kitchen knives need to be sharpened/replaced (nearly unusable).
3) The upstairs bedrooms have lovely shutters on the windows, but 2 of the rooms have 1-2 windows that don't have the shutters (I realize it is so that they can open). The effect of this is that it gets bright in the room very early (6:30am) and makes it difficult to sleep. We used black garbage bags and tape to cover the windows and bought sleep masks.
4) Even if the elevator gets fixed, the house just isn't good for anyone with accessibility issues (I appreciate that the owners have added language about this to the description). The main floor has nearly every room(including kitchen and bathroom) recessed with 2 cement steps to enter/exit and no handrails. The path to the pool is also a set of very uneven (and some loose) walkway stones. These are probably not an issue for most people, but be aware if you have anyone elderly or with limited mobility.
I hope these details are helpful for future renters. Overall, it is a lovely home for most people, with some minor modifications needed.

Great family trip.
We only had a few issues. Not enough kitchen towels. 2 towels isn’t enough for 13 people having breakfast, lunch and dinner dishes. There weren’t enough forks for 13 and the knives were very dull. We had to call for garbage pick up the first day but they took care of it right away.

Fascinating House
The Round House is very comfortable and is also very interesting. It’s in a lovely neighborhood and is close to everything in St. Simons. I enjoyed watching the dramatic tide changes and watching the ships come and go. We had a wonderful family time.
