The property received high praise for its beautiful location, stunning views, amenities, cleanliness, and proximity to the beach and pool. Guests enjoyed activities like snorkeling, kayaking, and using water toys. The property manager, Sasha, was commended for her responsiveness and helpfulness.
10.0 / 10.0
The home is beautiful and the views are way better than the pictures if that’s even possible. The location was better than anything else we saw while on the island. It’s close to town in a gated neighborhood and the Rusty Anchor restaurant is just steps away. ( Best food we had during our stay). The home had everything we needed from beach towels to snorkel gear and was very clean and well kept. The host was always quick to respond and we will definitely be coming back. Would never stay at any other property. We drove from one end of the island to the other and did not find anything That we thought would have been better.
For first time visitors….make sure to rent a car. Although town is a short walk, the best beaches and things to see were all amazing but not walking distance. And although just about everyone accepts Mastercard and Visa, you’ll need to keep a little cash on you for tipping the water taxi or boat captains if you decide to enjoy those activities.

Villa Mare was such a beautiful home in one of the prettiest areas on Exuma! The rental was very clean and cozy and had an amazing view.
We will definitely go again and recommend it to anyone.

We loved out stay at Villa Mare. We felt very safe with the gated entrance and the staff was so friendly. The home was full equipped with everything we needed. The AC was ice cold and we loved the use of the grill. This home is centrally located near everything. Highly recommend!!

The unit was well maintained and Sasha was so easy to work with. Would definently stay there again.

This place is perfectly located. 25min drive in either direction to either end of the island. The house is very roomy as we had 6 adults. The kitchen is nice size. Not overlly stocked with utensils but it has the essentials. The dining room table is huge which was good for us to spread out our daily treasures and eat and have great conversations. The pool right next door was basically our personal pool. The Rusty Anchor was probabaly the best place we ate at...twice. We appreciated the security of the community. We would stay here again. Thank you for helping us enjoy our first and definitely not our last girls trip to Exuma.

It's a wonderful home. Accommodated six adults very comfortably. Waterfront and pool were great. Centrally located to gorgeous beaches.

February Point was the perfect location for our family.
It’s a gated community, close to town, had a beautiful beach club with a pool overlooking the spectacular turquoise water. It also has a spa, hot tub, restaurant and marina within the community.
Villa Mare is a beautiful home right on the beach and next to a community pool. My only criticism is that the appliances need updating and some of the dishes are chipped
We didn’t use the dishwasher, although we were told by the property manager that it worked, but the racks had rust on them which we felt was a hazard. The washer’s spin cycle wasn’t working properly (had to run through a couple times to get the water out) and the dryer just stopped working. Unfortunately the dryer couldn’t be repaired during our stay because the part had to come from the US.
We enjoyed using the kayaks. In case anyone is looking for the beach towels, they are located in the entrance cabinet. We didn’t know they were there until the last day, luckily we brought our own.
Exuma is a beautiful island with kind people. We will be back!

Villa Mare was perfect for our month of winter vacation in Exuma. The location was perfect & the view absolutely amazing. Everything was clean and operational. Sasha was quick to respond prior to our stay as well as once on island. February Point is a great neighborhood with amenities & friendly people.

We had a fantastic week over Christmas 2023. The house is spectacular and perfect for a family of 5. Private beach and a great location. This house is very clean and has tons of toys, like kayaks. I highly recommend this house.

We had our ups and downs, but overall we had a nice stay.
-We didn't arrive until late afternoon; the sun already set. It was very tough to find the Feb Pointe - google maps isn't completely friendly in the directions (go PAST the ballfields). Then the house lights were not turned on, so we couldn't see the house or the number. But once we found it, it was easy to get in.
-Although it looked clean, the upstairs had a terrible smell (I referred to it as cat urine). We can only conclude it was a cleaner or some sort of spray they used. The property manager sent over glade plug ins.
-We had ZERO water pressure in the showers or hot water. A crew came over the next day to replace the hot water tank and give us as much water pressure as possible - it wasn't much but it at least worked.
-The outside cushions and water toys/gear were in a dirty mess piled up outside. We cleaned up as much as possible and pieced together the water toys (only had 2 complete sets of snorkels). We didn't touch the cushions since they were muddy and a bunch of cockroaches scrambled out when we moved them.
-The bbq pit wasn't clean so that was frustrating.
-The bed frame in one of the bedrooms broke. The property manager sent someone the next day to fix.
Although we had these issues, the property manager attended to each thing right away. And we understood the house is older, so problems may occur. The view and location certainly trumped the issues and we had a nice time.

Very well appointed house, larger than i expected given 3 bedrooms. While exuma felt very safe the neighborhood felt particularly so, and this was important since were were traveling with kids. Beautiful views from bedrooms. Kayaks were a big plus.
One suggestion would be to include a couple of portable beach chairs which would have been very handy given there are quite a few beautiful beaches on the island to visit.
Overall an excellent house and very happy with our stay.

Villa Mare was an excellent rental for our family of five. With 3 kids (ages 8, 9, and 12), the size of the house and location was ideal for our first trip to Great Exuma. Snorkeling in the backyard, we saw turtles. The kids used the pool adjacent to the house. We ate at The Rusty Anchor on more than one occasion. It was a 3 minute drive to George Town for groceries. The gated community gave privacy and ensured security, though the island is safe. The central location made exploring the many beautiful beaches on both Great and Little Exuma simple. This has been one of our family’s best relaxing vacations! Thank you for sharing your place with us!

This villa is located in upscale community near George Town.
We enjoyed the pools and the restaurant on the property. House was very comfortable and updated. There were snorkeling gear and kayaks for out use. The big plus was the water cooler provided by the owner, we didn’t need to worry about buying drink water.
We will definitely like to come back to this villa.

The best part about this property is location and view from the patio. It has one of the very few spots with sandy strip of beach at the entire resort coupled with an adjacent public pool that does not get many visitors, we treated is as ours. The house is well kept considering proximity to the salty water and has everything you need to comfortably enjoy the vacation. Bathrooms and kitchen are rather current with good quality fixtures and appliances. Wi-Fi worked great.

We had a wonderful stay. We enjoyed the snorkeling just outside our back door, the pool adjacent to the house, and the proximity to Georgetown. The house was clean ad comfortable with great views to the bay.

We had a wonderful vacation with my wife and 2 young children (ages 2 and 5). The house was tidy and clean and had a nice selection of cooking utensils and cookware. A well appointed grocery store is just 5 mins away. The house is in a great location in the property, there is a beach right out the back door and the pool and other beach area is just a short 2 min walk. One plus is that there is a marina(3 minute walk) on property and they will let you keep a rental boat overnight. The only things that I would change would be better fitting curtains and the house could use a little maintenance i.e. doors don't shut well, appliances need updating. But, this is Great Exuma and is not on the beaten path. It is a wonderful place and I would stay in this house again.
A note on Shasha, she was very communicative, she called me on the day of arrival and made sure that I was all taken care of. The island had a major power outage during our stay and she was very helpful and offered to put us in a hotel for a night that had a backup generator (we declined as we were told then power would be back on later that evening) and she gave us a refund for one nights stay.

Decent house but not for the price
We had a split group in Villa Mare and Wings n Wings. Wings n Wings was a smaller but more updated property with more amenities and water toys. In Villa Mare, the microwave was also broken and the living room AC leaked water on the floor.
We were notified that the pool between the properties was shut down 30 days before our stay. It was still closed when we got there and no one seemed to be working on it. It also didn't help the grounds to have to stare at an unkept pool on the beach. The beach was extremely rocky so I would not walk out there without water shoes. Rusty Anchor was not a far walk and they did have a nice pool and restaurant. Floyd at the Rusty Anchor provided great service all week. February Point is also near Georgetown and not a bad location. The house was okay, but not for the money. Other houses are more updated with more amenities for less money. If you are looking for a beach, I would probably not do February Point again.

The villa was perfect for us. Plenty of space, stunning views and run right out the door to the water. Our sons loved the kayaks and saw so much wildlife using them everyday. Thank you!

First off, I feel the need to comment on the property manager Sasha. When I first inquired about the property several months prior to our arrival, Sasha promptly responded to all of my questions. Once I booked and my 1st payment was received, I messaged Sasha several times asking for questions and I could not get Sasha to respond to me. Once my final payment was received (a week early) she responded to my previous messages. When we arrived, the island had lost power (which apparently happens often) and the house WiFi network (that we were given by Sasha and is on the papers at the house) was not even an option on the available networks. We reset the router & tried the name and password on the side of the router to no avail. The water pressure in the showers was not much more than a trickle and there was no way we were going to wash our long, thick hair with the lack of pressure. The pool next to the house was very dirty and the water was low also. That being said, I figured I had a list of things that needed Sashas attention, so I gave her a call. She was not very pleasant and made me feel as if I was a bother to her when letting her know my concerns…..very rude! Needless to say, even when I did have a question Sasha could and should have been able to answer, I did not call her again as I was on vacation and did not deserve or want to be treated that way again.
The house was average…….there were several updated that it needs, large chunks of paint peeling off the wall in the hallway by the bathroom and more by the kitchen and living room. The washing machine was full of sand and needed a good cleaning. Tile in the master bedroom leading to the outside patio was cracking and moved when you stepped on it. The door handle in the master going to patio would fall off also.
Pros: large home with beautiful views of the harbor. Short walk to the restaurant, pool, jacuzzi and marina where we would watch the sunset every morning and watch the turtles swim. The security ladies at the front gate were so friendly and always smiling 😊 we even got out to take a picture with them our last night and tell the, thank you for being so pleasant! Location is excellent! Exuma is an absolutely beautiful island that we will definitely visit again!
Overall, I would say this was an average home and that it was not worth what we paid and we paid low season rates!

Great place
We loved everything about this house and location. The beach is literally in your backyard and you are a quick 5-10 minute drive to the Georgetown area. We snorkeled right in the backyard and saw turtles, starfish and all kinds of fish around the docks. Catching the sunrise on the kayaks was also incredible. The pool feels like it belongs to the house as very few people used it. Highly recommend and are already looking forward to our next trip back.

Best Vacation EVER!!
We had an amazing stay at the Villa Mare in February Point and Sasha was wonderful to work with. If we had a question about anything Sasha would reply almost immediately. The villa is perfectly located near the beach and the community pool. We were also able to pull our boat up right outside the villa and have a quick lunch inside. This is a perfect home for a family and the views are stunning. Can't wait to go back!!

Perfect Vacation
This was the best vacation! Location was perfectly central to everything, the February Point neighborhood was pristine, the WiFi was great, the views were spectacular.
Rented a boat from Minns, which was a short 5 minute drive from the house. It was easy to drive up to the house in the boat and then straight across to Chat n’Chill. Sand Dollar beach is not to be missed at low tide, and take time to walk over the hill to the Atlantic side of Stocking Island.
We stayed out on the water all day and never tired of the beautiful blue water and endless sandbars. We also took a tour with Exuma Water Sports, which was so much fun.
We cooked at the house a few nights, and Exuma Market and Prime were both well stocked with everything we might need.

Everything was more than I expected
It was our first time to Exuma. We did rent a vehicle as it’s needed to get anywhere. The house and the property manager were both great and the views from the back you the house are truly amazing. Very nice that a pool was right next door. We will be back!

We were generally pleased with the rental and not sure we would rent it again for this price. I have noted some very minor observations below that could be a deal breaker for some. I am also taking into account a perfect rental we had just come from on Exuma the prior week. The unit could use some basic maintenance attention. It s starting to show wear. Privacy curtains would be nice on the ground-level windows and master bathroom window. Taking a shower at night was not an option as there was no curtain on the very large window in the shower stall. Teflon pans were well-used and in need of replacement due to very deep scratches down to the metal. A blender would be nice. The water cooler was nearly empty and we were told to go fill it. I would expect this to be full upon arrival. Kayaks were full of varmint droppings and spiders. Ice maker did not work. Fridge shelves missing and in need of repair. The road next to the property is busy with maintenance vehicles all day long. The location next to one of the pools and a small beach is great. The patio and patio furniture was very comfortable. The upper balcony does not have any furniture which would have been nice. Bedrooms are comfortable. More hangers are needed. Air conditioning works great. All the furniture was very nice and comfortable in the rest of the house. All in all it was a nice place to stay but pricey for what you get.

We planned this vacation at the last minute and we were delighted with the villa. We rented a car, so we were able to explore the island and its beaches. If you are comfortable running a boat, then rent a boat for a few days as well!

Fantastic family trip!
We had a great visit. Stayed one week and the house was great...right on the water. Having a few masks, snorkels & fins at the house was very helpful. We enjoyed kayaking & snorkeling everyday! Perfect family vacation (two teen boys). WiFi was better than at home in the States.

Perfect
Perfect villa and perfect location. Steps from the beach and the pool. Rented a boat and kept it right outside the house. Beautiful inside with plenty of space and a very short walk to the Rusty Anchor bar and restaurant and larger infinity pool. This was our second time at February Point and we can’t wait to go back again.

Beachfront with a pool and very close to town
Perfect location on the beach and close to town, a 15 minute walk if without a vehicle. The property has all necessary amenities and comes equipped with snorkel gear (we used this in the area in front of the house!) and kayaks, which we used almost daily to cross the waters to a few small uninhabited islands. Sasha was a good host and was available when needed. Overall great stay!

My teenage son and I spent 5 nights and it wasn't long enough! The villa has everything we needed and the view cNt be beat. The turquoise water outside our door was heavenly. I will be back. Sasha made sure we had what we needed but she wasn't intrusive. It was an ideal vacation.
