Has a nice seawall that can accomodate about a 30 foot boat. Cleaning station for fish was nice also. Actual house unit was older, but nice. We really just used it for cooking our fish and sleeping. The main perks of this place is that it has a seawall on a protected canal to keep a boat, has good channel access to both the oceanside and gulf, and is clean. Marina with boat fuel and boat ramp is in Venture Out neighborhood just a few hundred feet away from this actual unit. Overall a good time.

The location is amazing with lots of amenities. They have tennis courts, swimming pool right on The Atlantic ocean, a store on site, and many, many more and amenities. I found that the trailer we were in was comfortable, had a great AC just a little dated and needed a bit of maintenance. One thing I was not aware of nor was I told is that you could only have six people which means that your family cannot come into the facility to visit. This was very disappointing as we had family members on the same key just at another location. They couldn’t even come in to go on our boat. Also, they were working on the seawall, so our days were filled with pounding of cement that they were extracting from the seawall all day long. We asked for a new location but didn’t hear back from Jennifer. Communication initially was positive with her, but after I brought it to attention about the seawall, she told me she would get back to me the next day on a possible relocation, but but did not receive a notice back from her the rest of the week. The location was convenient for what we needed it for we were going to lobstering and then to Looe Key!

Starting with a good, the beds were clean and comfortable, and the bathrooms were clean.
But the house is sad. No one has done maintenance screens ripped chairs on the porch, broken no bath mats and outside of countertops. Everything is dusty. I wish I could show a picture of the air conditioning vent. It has years worth of dirt on it.

Wonderful little house in a gated area right on a canel.

We loved our time here and the host was very friendly. We would definitely stay here again!

Overall, had a great time and the Venture Out organization had everything well organized. The unit was older but did what we expected when we weren't on the water. Trailer storage was not ideal, due to the 2 vehicle limit. A few missed spots in cleanliness. Overall a good place. We would stay again!

Would definitely come back!!!!

Could actually be a cute and lovely place to stay if anyone cared to clean it thoroughly and take care of some very basic maintenance. Floors dirty to the point you can’t walk around without shoes on… and let’s be honest we are in the keys we kind of want to kick off the work boots and enjoy some barefoot living. Huge emphasis on cleaning all dishes before you leave yet there was dirty dishes in the cabinets upon arrival. Bath towel had a long hair hanging from it. Blinds have stains all over them and most importantly for safety purposes exposed wires from an outlet on the back deck as well the lights did not work out there. I would personally never stay there again although it has potential. Also pretty tight quarters for just two of us. Most importantly just dirty and in need of some basic upgrades.

Great amenities. Owner was very responsive to a question and very helpful.

1500 characters is not enough to tell the whole story correctly.
The unit I stayed was great, very clean and was described correctly in the listing. My host Jennifer was available to answer questions if I had them. I was very happy with the unit!
My problem was with the two idiots working security. They were rude! When I went to check in, I was told that they didn't have any information on me. (Jennifer assured me when I spoke with her later that day that she had given then all the information they needed). Steve, which I found out is suppose to be the supervisor, felt for some reason he needed to raise his voice towards me while giving his welcome aboard speech.
I asked about trailer parking and Steve said we don't have any. Jennifer told me about overflow parking available if needed. Steve didn't mention anything about overflow parking, just said we don't have any.
To make a long story short, I went in and complained to the manager. He seemed concerned. I told him about the two security guards attitude. I asked him about trailer parking which my host told me was available, and if there wasn't, is there other trailer parking available which my host told me there was. He asked did they (the security idiots) give you a list of overflow parking available, I said no. He said let me go out and get you one.
Again I was very happy with the unit and Jennifer as my host!
What was disgusting was dealing with the two idiots at the front gate when I checked in.

After reading the past reviews, we were a little concerned about what we may be walking into. After we arrived we realized that either the cleanliness issue mentioned in prior reviews were taken care of or were not picky/petty. We had no issues with the place whatsoever. If you’re looking for a 5star Taj Mahal place, this is not it. If you’re looking for a decent size place for 4 adults in a nice community then this is it.

Enjoyed our stay. The home was nice & comfortable for our group of 4 adults. Venture Out is a nice park, people were friendly as were the security staff. Location of house is convenient to entrance & short walk to awesome pool. Our contact Jennifer was in touch as needed & responded very quickly to a lighting issue. Ate at many great places nearby including No Name Pub, Boondocks, Kikis Sandbar, Boardwalk, Morning Joint, & Mangrove Mamas, & 2 times at our favorite Tonios Seafood Shack. Not alot to do in the area without driving but close 2 Key West. Overall a good option.

The house is in serious need of a thorough cleaning. I have pictures if anyone is interested.

When we checked in we were turned away at the gate because it was 2:00 and check in was 3:00. They wouldnt even let us sit by the pool.
The manufactured home was in a good locaton and on a canal. It needed many repairs and deep cleaning. Window and door screens were ripped and towel rack was falling off the wall. I would not stay here again. We actually left 2 days early.

Not very clean, very poorly stocked kitchen, nothing explaining anything about the property.

Used this place as home base for other activities. Everything was fine. We installed a new air filter for the AC furnace as they had an extra one on standby. The Old one needed replaced. Community is clean. Ppl very nice. Amenities well kept. This unit could use some love here and there, perhaps a thorough deep cleaning but it was fine and comfortable to stay in It’s not fancy but we didn’t need or expect fancy. And We recommend it.

We stayed in Cudjoe key for 5 nightsat Venture Out properties. The place is very big but not overly crowded. The salt water pool was very refreshing. The only thing I wish we knew was that there was another fee we needed to pay when we checked in. I thought the payment we made to the owner of the property was all we needed to pay.

Loved the location and amenities (not the $125 extra), house was ok for the price could have been cleaner. Easy check in, good communication. Thank you!

I recently stayed at a property that left me with mixed feelings. While it wasn't a terrible experience, there were several issues that could have been addressed to make it a more enjoyable stay.
Upon arrival, I noticed that the sheets provided were still damp, which was quite off-putting. It would have been preferable to have clean and dry bedding prepared in advance. Additionally, I was disappointed to find that there was no hose handle supplied, which made certain tasks inconvenient.
The most significant inconvenience occurred when the air conditioning broke down for a prolonged period of eight hours. Considering the discomfort caused by the lack of cooling in the room, I inquired about the possibility of finding alternative accommodations while traveling with a boat. However, eventually, the issue was fixed, and I decided to stay.
To the host's credit, they acknowledged the inconvenience and offered a $100 discount after I requested it. Unfortunately, they failed to follow through with this offer, leaving me disappointed and feeling undervalued as a guest. It's important for hosts to honor their commitments and deliver on promised compensations.
Despite these shortcomings, the property itself was not bad. However, it would greatly benefit from some improvements and maintenance. Attention to detail, such as ensuring the sheets are dry and providing necessary amenities like a hose handle, would go a long way in enhancing the overall experience for guests.
In conclusion

Great location on Cudjoe Key. Close enough to all the reasons we come to the Keys.

Overall a great location in the middle-lower keys if you have a boat. Comfortable and the amenities are awesome. The home is comfortable and ideal for a weekend getaway. Outside canal side lights and fixtures didn’t work, but otherwise nice place to relax and recreate.

Great location. Can’t beat the price, location, and propety.

I love how we were out of the heavy tourist area of key west. The local restaurants were good. We’ve stayed in this community before but seems the rules have become even more strict. The gate guards are friendly and helpful. The only two negatives to this property were the lack of cleanliness of the back porch/exterior and there are no tvs in the bedrooms. Warning when walking in the front door your going thru a small bedroom with a narrow area to get to common areas. I will stay in this community again.

Nice pool too

Great experience. Unit was nice as advertised. Only a little external maintenance is needed. We'd stay here again. Staff & amenities were great!

The house was nice. The one bedroom was tight to get around in. The bed needed repairs but they sent a guy over to fix it. Overall it was a good location. Could use some updating but it was clean and kept us cool.

The house was very clean and well stocked. The Venture Out subdivision was well maintained and secured via gate and manned security. Our mornings were relaxing sitting in screened porch overlooking the canal. The bayside tiki huts and views were relaxing. Breeze and full moon added to an excellent stay. Thank you!

Location was good. House was stocked with everything needed and beds were comfortable. Had a really nice weekend.

The place itself was decent. However the floors have not been swept or mopped in ages. One walk around the house and your feet were black. The screened in porch had balls of dirt and hair. The bathroom corners and baseboards were like a high traffice truckstop. I am not a neat freak but the house was dirty!
4.5
Very good experience. The $$ to Venture Out was not included in the rental cost and fees for use of the amenities.
4.5
Unit was ok. Could use some refreshing, like paint.
The one worst thing is....
the floors were filthy.
Once we noticed how dirty they were we kept our socks on all the time. As there was no mop we couldn't even clean it.
Except for that issue it was very good and yes, I'd stay there again.
We had a very good time there and enjoyed ourselves.

This cottage was the perfect vacation retreat for my husband and me. It sits on a lovely canal and there are beautiful ocean views within easy walking distance. It is a secure, gated community. We spent a lot of our time in Key West. It was an easy drive and the perfect distance to get away from all of the traffic and crowds at the end of the day. We had everything we needed in this cute home.

Property was the perfect home base for our Keys vacation. Property was great and well furnished in a fun and safe community. Will definitely be back!

Our stay was short but it was good.

Nice Resort
The cottage was adequately furnished and kitchen, living room and dining aera were open and flowed nicely into each other. The back of cottage affords easy access to the cannel/channel from which you can fish. The front door opens into a bedroom for which we were unprepared but quickly adjusted to the unusual layout. Cudjoe is a small town with a couple of small beaches and easy access to Key West 22 minutes by car and 30 minutes to Marathon. The Keys have a lot of diverse activities and we enjoyed staying in the area.

Enjoyable!
Overall, very nice community—felt safe & is a perfect distance away from Key West.
