Guests loved the cozy historic house in a quiet neighborhood, spacious rooms, comfortable beds, proximity to downtown, and well-equipped kitchen.

Very nice small rental. Close to town, so able to walk to downtown area. House was nice , but nothing in back yard. A grill or seating might be nice. Overall, enjoyed it very much!

My 2 pre-teen sons and I stayed for 3 weeks while they attended a camp and I worked telehealth from the house. It was perfect for us and I was sad to leave. The house was great for accessing both downtown and the mountains. We rode our bikes on the river trail many evenings to the skate park, brewery and downtown. Sitting on the front porch in the evenings was perfect with a glass of wine. The wide street has lots of charm. The view from the couch was pretty with the moon, trees and sunsets seen through the large window. The beds were comfy. We loved it and hope to stay again next summer. Thanks!!

Was looking for a Durango location on a budget and found the Library House. I was a little concerned initially because it seemed too good price-wise to be true! But my brother is in the area and checked it out and said it was quiet neighborhood by the library so we booked it. It worked out perfectly for our needs 2 adults, 2 teenagers with an busy agenda of outdoor activities around the area. We did not end up using much of the food prep/kitchen stuff provided because we ate out, but it seemed to have everything you could want. Beds, pillows, etc were all comfy. Son ended up sleeping on the couch he liked it so much. Older house, so wooden floors in bedroom were squeaky during midnight bathroom trips, but otherwise fine. One bathroom with 4 people was a bit challenging, but not a big deal. We had great weather - might have gotten a bit of cabin fever if we were stuck inside all day for multiple days but it was cozy for our needs. My husband went out early each morning to walk on the river trail and enjoy the botanical gardens by the library. Close drive to grocery store and restaurants, as well as downtown Durango. House looks like it needs some attention on the outside, but like I said, was perfect for our vacation.

This is a cute historic home in a quiet neighborhood. It’s spacious, clean and cozy. The location is convenient to many locations. We enjoyed the board games and slept well in the comfortable bed.

We were here on business. So much nicer and easier to have a little home away from home without staying in a hotel.

The house is located on a beautiful quiet little street. It was so clean and had all the comforts of home. Such a sweet home. We totally enjoyed our stay.

The house was easy to find, in a nice little neighborhood and seemed like a safe location. There was plenty of space for the two of us and would also be great when we bring our kids next time.
The rooms were nice and plenty of space for your bags to unpack. The kitchen had lots of dishes and stocked with a lot of items you might need.
We drove to the downtown area and then walked around. But we easily could have walked from the house if we wanted.

Loved the beds and the casual calm midcentury vibe. Great location.

Great vacation rental, lots of needed items provided, but couldn't find a toaster. Great central location. Small amount of parking, seems to be the case in all Durango neighborhoods.

Needs deep cleaning, sanitization, and air purifier, inadequate lighting, lacked basic cleaning items (vinegar and baking soda would do) The cleaning spray bottle was empty. The bed in 2nd bedroom is poor; front door needs a lock on the inside, the device to open front door is sketchy / tempramental . The pillows were old and malodorous, the sheets were clean but the duvet and shams were soiled. One smelled of perfume and most others were quite smelly and stained. We arrived at night on a very dark street and there was no exterior light available for us. We were not expecting a mansion but cleanliness and safety are essential. Would not recommend.

Stayed here with my husband and two boys ages 6 and 8. Very nice yard for play. We brought bikes and the street was quiet and safe enough to ride around. The house was clean and comfortable. Location was convenient for a quick drive downtown. We were happy with our stay.

great location, could be much better with a little work
We loved the location near the river path and downtown. There were a few small issues: internet router/connection was different than what was on the welcome email. We were really looking forward to the treehouse but the entrance has been taken down, the property doesnt reflect the pictures listed. Some of the dishes were dirty in the cabinets, the faucet was loose and dripped. Minor stuff but easy to fix, especially for the cost of the rental. Note: there is no cable or TV service, we bought a cheap roku.

Spacious and comfortable home
Loved that this home was a five minute walk to the bike trail and river, and also walking distance to town. It was clean and well supplied with linens and cookware. This is an older but well kept home so the walls are pretty thin. The on-site manual showed parking in a garage, but it was locked. The manual also contained great information about the town, but not so much about the home itself, such as how to use the fireplace, and lots of information about the garbage collection, but conflicting information on which day of the week (so the container was in the alley when we arrived and was never picked up). Very minor, but worth noting that there were two drip coffee makers, but no filters or coffee. It was odd that I also found some espresso cups, but no machine for them. There were also two empty salt shakers, so no salt.

Clean, comfortable stay minutes from the river walk
The house was sparkling clean when we arrived with nice cool temps for us to come in after a hot day of traveling. Simple home, but very clean and comfortable. Saw a deer run by while drinking coffee outside in the morning. Will definitely return!

Durango library house
Have stayed here before and enjoyed it as before. Some minor issues that could be addressed, need an extra light in living to read by. I actually moved a light from bedroom which was less than ideal. Hinges on gate access to back yard are about to go. Taking trash cans through that gate proved to be tricky.

Nice house, great location
The house was just the right size for us, 2 bedrooms, a nice kitchen and a comfortable living room. We hung out on the front porch in the evening, it is a nice quiet street . Easy access to the river trail into town. Parking in the street in front was always available. Great location for activities in and around Durango.

Durango weekend
We were concerned when lock box was hard to open.
After several minutes, my husband was able to retrieve the key.
When we opened the door, the carpet was very dirty. Not a very good first impression! Other than these two issues, the property was fine. Kitchen, bathroom and bedrooms were clean.

Great location
Great location. Awesome front porch! Loved walking to Animas River and enjoyed walking to coffee shop at the library.
Well equipped.
The lighting in living room is very poor and needs improvement. The lights also flicker. There are significant stains on carpet

Comfy & Cozy
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! Plenty of room for the 4 of us with everything we needed stocked. The only thing that we were bummed about was that we couldn’t get the fireplace to open, so we were unable to use it. Not sure if it was. locked or jammed, but it would have been nice to have a fire as it snowed our first night there. Besides that, we loved everything! It was so close to downtown and easily walkable to several places. Would stay here again!

Could do with a small patio in the back yard & a grill.

Perfect location
The house was exactly as advertised - location was great to downtown, neighborhood was great, and being in Durango was wonderful.

Home and location were great.
There are some minor maintenance issues - light bulbs being burned out, carpet stained in a number of places, floor tiles cracked in the kitchen but overall home was comfy and clean.

Needs some improvements
Great location. Bad parking, neighbors take the spaces. Beds/pillows sheets uncomfortable. House/porch needed a good cleaning. Fan in bathroom and back gate not working. Nosy neighbors next door and rowdy college kids on other side. Could be a great house but needs improvement!

Nice location, clean, but HOT in the summer.
House has a great convenient location. Everything was clean. But not an ideal place for a summer stay, Colorado homes need air conditioning in this new era of weather, in the 90’s you could get away with no AC in the summer in Colorado. All the windows don’t open, and some that do don’t have screens. So when you try to cool the house down with two box fans, it doesn’t work too well. Pretty tough to sleep at night, throw in the smoke from the fires and it was a pretty miserable experience. Neighbors are also pretty loud and stay up late, so again, with the windows open, it’s not exactly peaceful. Probably fine in the winter.

Miserable
NO AIR! The house was 82 degrees at 9pm. We decided to leave 8 hours after our arrival. The property manager was extremely hard to get in touch with. Several emails from myself and the Vacasa team were sent. I finally heard from him four days later. Poor customer service! The house also had cleanliness issues, blood stained pillow, coffee pot that had mold on the inside and a moldy shower curtain. I was assured all those issues were taking care of. The managers response to no air was open the windows and let the air circulate. I did receive the refund I requested (I’m appreciative), the house was cute and in a good location. It’s 2018 put in a cooling unit! If not specify there’s NO COOLING UNIT.
