Twin Palms Cottage, on the southern end of Tybee Island, is a short walk to the beach, pavilion, popular restaurants, shops, Back River beach and fishing pier. A small, charming, authentic cottage for serious cottage lovers, it's a place to relax, unwind and escape to a slower time.

This enchanting one-bedroom cottage is nestled under twin palms, their fronds rustling in the summer breeze. It is just steps away to the beautiful Back River beach, barefoot strolls in the sand, and breathtaking sunsets. It represents the classic guest cottage with French doors, painted wood floors, bead board walls, wicker and vintage furnishings.

You are greeted by a cheerful screened porch with a swing and comfortable sitting area. Here you can enjoy your morning coffee, an afternoon drink, or read late into the lazy summer nights. It's also a fun place to watch the kayakers and paddle boarders go by as they head across the street to Alley 3, the Back River launch and beach area (only 175 steps away).

When you open the French doors you are immediately inspired by the cottage's attractiveness and delightful personality. Inside you find a comfortable queen bed, clothed in layers of fresh cotton and lace, waiting to enfold you after an exhilarating day at the beach or on the river.

You will certainly enjoy the kitchenette area, with its table for four, and collection of antique dishware for your everyday use. The kitchenette also includes a sink, small refrigerator, microwave, coffeemaker and toaster.

Mary Kay Andrews, New York Times bestselling author, chose this adorable cottage as a haven where she penned several of her books at this same kitchen table before she purchased two Tybee cottages of her own!

The large charming bathroom includes an English washstand, dressing area, and a claw foot tub with shower, although the enclosed outdoor shower with hot and cold water is usually preferred to wash that sand and salt away!

Guests also enjoy a large covered outdoor space with abundant seating, including a swing large enough for an afternoon nap, plus a dining area, gas grill, and bicycle use. Once your car is parked, you can walk or ride a bike to almost everything, including the grocery store.

Linens, high speed wireless internet, and flat screen tv are provided.

Twin Palms Cottage (formerly Garner Cottage) is located in a quiet residential area on the south end of the island where Fifth and Tybrisia meet Chatham Avenue. The owners live on site.

We absolutely loved our stay at this quaint, vintage cottage! It had everything we needed and more. The location was perfect proximity to the beach! So glad we chose Twin Palms for our vacation home. Sure hope to be back sometime soon!! Hostess communication was super prompt!

This is a very cute/vintage cottage. Perfect for a single or couple. The host is very accommodating. The beach house is supplied with everything. The only thing you need to bring is food if you decide to prepare breakfast. My only concern was the bath tub did not seem sturdy. It was hard to get in and out of. The outside shower is nice… but they need to spray for mosquitos. But all and all this beach house was in a perfect location for walking to everything!

Perfect place - close to beach! Love the outdoor shower after the beach. Decorated beautifully!! Have a stove top but no oven - would be super if it had an oven too . Otherwise splendid !!!!

My husband and I were very impressed with the cottage and location. Everything was within walking distance but far enough away from the traffic and crowds that it was very peaceful. The cottage is tastefully decorated and had everything we needed. It's truly a beautiful little cottage. Thank you so much. We had a great time!

The pictures do not do this place justice! Everything was very clean and the check-in process was smooth and easy. The Location was perfect for my wife and I. Quiet neighborhood with only a 5 minute walk to the downtown area and a 2 minute walk to the beach. The hosts were very attentive. Bikes were great to ride around the island and there was even a beach cart that greatly helped getting our gear to beach. We can't recommend this place enough!

We loved Twin Palms Cottage. It was great sitting out on the front porch. The location is a quick walk to the pier and beach. Thank you for letting us use the wagon to carry our beach chairs and umbrella. We enjoyed our stay.

This is a perfect cottage for a couple. Tucked away in a quiet location on Tybee Island. It is only a short walk to the beach and restaurant’s, and the beach on the back river (less crowded) is a block away. Twin Palms Cottage is at the top of our list for places to stay on Tybee Island.

This cottage is in the best location! Quiet street, near the beach and near the dining and shopping. Very nice host and had lots of amenities (beach chairs, wagon, coffee, etc.) It is a small place, but very comfortable for two people.

Twin Palms Cottage is a perfect get away for two! Quiet, clean, and comfortable, Leuveda has considered every detail to make a relaxing beach vacation. From a beautifully decorated home, that really makes you feel at home, to access to bikes, beach chairs and an umbrella, we had everything we needed and wanted. Twin Palms is within easy walking distance to both the ocean side and Tybee Creek side of the point of Tybee Beach. Restaurants and shops are just steps away, and yet the area is completely quiet and calm once you get within the residential blocks. Leuveda and Ron are so hospitable and communicative. We certainly hope to return!

We absolutely loved our stay at Twin Palms! The attention to detail blew us away. Beautifully decorated, peaceful location, outstanding hosts. We walked from the cottage to the ocean and the local shops. Our host also provided bicycles. We will 100% book again!

My wife and I had not gone on a vacation in two years. My wife wanted to go see Savanna and I wanted to stay near the beach. This met both of our wants. Ron and Leuveda are amazing hosts. They were able to give us great suggestions for places to eat and visit to make our time worthwhile. It was so relaxing to just sit on the porch in the evening with the cool breeze. We also loved the sun coming in the upper windows while waking up to the birds singing. The restaurants and beach were close enough to walk to. The beach to view beautiful sunsets is very close to the cottage. I even got to learn about some new food (Brunswick Stew) which I'm going to try and make. :) Overall, this is an amazing place and we highly recommend it. Thank you Ron and Leuveda for a great place to stay! We hope to make it back again.

Twin Palms Cottage is perfectly good located for a relaxing stay on Tybee Island. It had everything we needed for our vacation. February weather can be chilly but we were still able to get out on our bikes and check out the island. Ron was incredibly helpful and my husband had a great time talking with him! The beach is a 10 minute walk away. A perfect spot to watch the sunrise! The cottage was great!

This Cozy Cottage was exactly what we dreamed of for a sleepy and satisfying few days on Tybee Island. Walks along the back river beach, plenty of porch swingin' and bike rides for food and fun. A true little gem of a hideaway, complete with holiday wreaths and plenty of twinkle lights. We loved our stay at the Twin Palms!

This beautiful cottage far exceeded our expectations for a VRBO. It had everything you could possibly need. The hosts, Leuveda and Ron were very friendly and made sure you felt welcome. This was our greatest vacation ever!! Everything was perfect! Definitely will return! The cottage was exactly as described. It was cozy and nostalgic. Our hosts were the best!! The outside shower was our favorite. You could shower outside. Shampoo conditioner and body soap along with hot water. Then just head into the bathroom. No sand inside!! Ten Stars from us!!

We loved our weekend at this quaint cottage. Location was perfect for what we were looking for. Walking distance to beach and sand and short driving distance to restaurants. Day trip to Savannah close enough to enjoy the sights. Property just as described with homey vintage feel. Screened in porch perfect spot to start and end the day. Would not hesitate to book again. What a fabulous find! My daughter and I, enjoyed our stay in this cute cottage located in a quiet neighborhood! It is conveniently located to the ocean, the dolphins, the store, restaurants, etc. The owners are next door and responded quickly, when we had a question. An absolutely adorable place to stay! We hope to return! 🙂

The cottage is just exquisite and beautiful! It’s old English style is perfect. The screened in porch and the jasmine bushes had me so relaxed. Short drive to Savannah was perfect. I will stay here again.
