We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this expansive house. Plenty of room and huge, well-equipped kitchen. We did not mind the road as the house is totally worth it. Pool is awesome, linens and pillows immaculate. Fond memories of sitting around table together for meals. The puerto viejo beach was just our style. Quiet and calm and just 4 minutes drive or short walk from house. Lots to do right at this beach. We went horseback riding, arranged a tour and ate at the little beach restaurant. Ceviche there was very good. Low tide great for snorkeling as well. We have rented many houses in guanacaste for years and this was our favorite thus far. Thanks and hope to be back!

The property was great. We especially liked the three separate King Suites on the property. It provided a perfect stay for five adults who wanted their private quarters when preferred. Close proximity to three amazing beaches. I strongly recommend it.

Great house close to the beach with the most amazing views.

We had a fantastic time during our week at Casa Brisas Del Mar. We were a group of 13 adults ranging in age 25-62. The layout of bedrooms was nearly perfect for our group. The kitchen was well stocked and we enjoyed cooking and eating in the beautiful dining room. Mariela was very responsive to any questions we had. The view from the house is spectacular and the walk to a very nice beach was not bad at all! It was such a wonderful time and location to celebrate our daughter's graduation from law school.

We had a wonderful stay at the property and the area. There were 8 of us and we all had more than enough space. Mariela was very responsive any time needed. The biggest challenge was finding the house the first night as we were driving in the dark from Liberia airport and unfamiliar with the area. Waze (the only map that works in CR) led us down a very rough rural road. So if coming in from the east or northeast, make sure you go all the way to the town of Matapalo before going down the dirt roads. We dealt with a few bug issues, but completely expected it and it was nothing that hindered our stay. The howler monkeys came to say hello each day and Playa Conchal is a beautiful beach, as is Grande, and Flamingo. Thank you to Mariela and team for making our stay a great one.

Casa Brisas Del Mar was amazing!!!
Perfect for our group of 12.....we could have even fit another couple. Our teen kids shared the 2 rooms in the main house, each with it's own full bathroom. The views were one of a kind and perfect for early mornings watching the sun rise. We loved the pool, but by day 7, we could tell that it needed a good cleaning. There were iguana sightings, lots of little lizards, birds, monkeys in the trees, and a spider who scared the teenagers. :-)
Casa Brisas del Mar is remotely located, but well worth the 10 minute drive on the bumpy road from Matapalo (closest town). You will want to rent a car if you plan on leaving the house. Go with 4 wheel drive, you won't regret it.
It was great to only drive a quick 4 minutes to a quiet beach, Playa Puerto Viejo. You can walk, but the roads are very dusty and if you want to bring anything with you-we used the provided cooler and chairs-you'll find it easier to drive. During the day, we paid $2-$4 to park.
Matapalo and Playa Puerto Viejo each have a local and non-touristy feel to it. You can walk from either Playa Puerto Viejo or Brasilito to Playa Conchal.
Taking a drive to Playa Flamingo or Tamarindo will give you all the tourist shops and restaurants.
We stayed connected to our host via Whats App and communication was great. We were always just a message away from anything that we needed-from excursion booking to finding a gas station!

We had a wonderful stay at Casa Brisas del Mar over the Christmas week. We had a family reunion with 10 of us and we were very comfortable during our stay. All the rooms provide plenty of privacy while the central community kitchen and dining and living areas provide plenty of room for congregation. The pool was refreshing and the views of Brasilito Bay from the pool and sun deck were breathtaking. Two monkeys came to visit us during our stay, one Capuchin and one Howler. You could hear plenty of Howlers in the jungle around us.
The location is wonderful as it is very quiet. It is a very short drive/walk down to Play Conchal where the snorkeling was pretty good. It is a short drive to the hustling tourist town of Tamarindo for shopping, dining surfing and SCUBA diving. We did a SCUBA diving excursion to Isla Catalina from Tamarindo where we saw two Manta Rays, three Whitetip Reef Sharks and two Eagle Rays. We had Christmas dinner at sunset on Brasilito Beach at Camaron Dorado.
We rented two four wheel drive vehicles. I highly recommend that as not all roads are paved and there are some that are pretty rough. Apple Maps did not work at all and Google Maps would always recommend the shortest route which may not always be the best as it is unaware of the road conditions.
Anyway, we had a great stay and I cannot recommend it highly enough. I would happily stay there again.

This property is beautiful. It is very rural and the roads are a little rough. Finding the house was a slight challenge but then after that we got around the coastal area easily. It was perfect for our family group of 12. We had plenty of room and had big meals together. There was a little wildlife that visited. Maid service was even post of the package which is nice if you are there awhile. We did appreciate the suggestions of things in the area. We visited several beaches, towns and restaurants. We enjoyed a coffee, sugarcane and cocao tour. The owners were great and helped us with other tours. I highly suggest visiting Tio Leo Coffee. We suggest eating at the Mercadito in Tamarindo, Coco Loco near Flamingo Beach and Big Mama's Kitchen near the house. The weather was perfect and this was a family trip of a lifetime.

We took an anniversary trip with 3 other couples & this house was perfect. Tons of space, nice big table for us to all enjoy meals together, comfortable bedrooms, lots of beach towels & good air conditioning!
I would definitely recommend a 4x4 vehicle as the roads leading to the property are unpaved but it made for a fun adventure. The concierge service was truly amazing, they had all our excursions booked for us & had groceries waiting for us when we arrived. Anytime I had a question they were quick to respond and always so kind. We would definitely stay here again!

We loved the stay, gorgeous home, very helpful concierge service and you can't beat the view from the back of the house! Only gave 4 stars for location, because the roads to get to the house were extremely bumpy and 2 of my friends had back issues so it hindered them from getting out and about on the neighboring towns. We did ready the reviews for needing a 4x4 SUV, which we did get but the roads had literal craters and pools of water in them, it was like going off roading every time you left the house, so be prepared. I personally would stay there again though, worth the bumpy road adventure :)

Ok soooo let me start by saying the house was perfect…. But getting to it was less than desirable In their defense, they do advertise that the road to house is bad… however, unless you are familiar w Costa Rica “roads” you really can’t prepare yourself. With that being said… everything else was great! Abigail, the concierge was available 24/7 and her communication was fast and efficient! She was very thorough and followed up! The location was about 30 minutes to Tamarindo but honestly there were some great restaurants very close once you got to paved roads
The excursions, chef and car services were reliable fun and easy to access… if you are looking for jungle experience… look no further … Pura vida!

A slice of heaven with an ocean view, the support staff went above and beyond to cater to our every whim and fancy (complete with local bull riders?!?), and no detail was left unattended. Clean, safe, dreamy… pura vida.

Six adults stayed in this beautiful house which can easily accommodate more (we had three bedrooms that went unused). Having three separate primary "casitas" is the perfect layout for three couples. Each room featured a king bed and ensuite bathroom. The beach and the nature preserve are a short walk away. A meal at Big Mamma's is not to be missed. Highly recommend this beautiful house.

We had a wonderful time despite the weather not fully cooperating with us. The management team were great in helping us plan excursions. We went zip lining, sunset cruise and horse back riding (in the rain).
The house itself was wonder and very spacious. The six bedrooms were very nice. We did have one room that somehow had a puddle of water every time it rained. Nothing that would ruin our experience.
The wildlife was fun to see from our doorstep.
4 X 4 vehicle is a MUST. The road leading to the house was full of pot holes and ditches that were fun and a little nerve racking at first.
All and all we had a great time and would stay here again.

Beautiful part of Costa Rica
If you are looking for a resort, this isn't your house. For my family, our focus was to eat, drink, and enjoy everything thing Costa Rica had to offer. We were blessed to meet many Costa Ricans and expats who call Costa Rica home.
You cannot beat the view from this property. My family enjoyed the patio/pool area with that terrific view. If you have several adult couples, the casitas worked well to give everyone their space using the main house as a gathering area. Don't be afraid of the large iguana (Larry) at the house and the smaller iguana (Lenny) who will jump in the drain grate at the foot of the driveway. Get up early to hear the birds and the monkeys.
Like the ad mentions, there is construction going on next door. They are working on the inside, so it's not as loud. Just make sure you are aware that they work late and the master bedroom shower is visible to the construction.
You need to also know that this neighborhood is down a bumpy dirt road, which was being scraped/repaired the week we stayed. If you see Big Momma's, you are almost there.. You are less than a mile from the gate. Entering the house is easy and we felt very safe due to the security guard.
For food, stop by Big Momma's, which is a quick walk from the house. She makes a wonderful Costa Rican breakfast and a delicious red snapper dinner. You can meet many of the local neighbors there. I also want to put a plug in for El Norte, which is south of Matapalo. The breakfast menu was delicious, and we went back for coffee more than once.
There is a beach at the end of the dirt road. Don't pay to park because it's a public beach. We packed our car and drove down several times. Brasalito and Flamingo are also nice beaches. For fun, we tried Mojo Surfing Adventures in Playa Grande. The owner lives two doors down we pleasantly discovered. Finally, go to the Monkey Jungle Canopy Tour. Awesome people!

Wonderful large rental
The house is perfect for large groups. Plenty of space to escape. We saw monkeys multiple days and the ocean view can’t be beat! Walking distance to playa conchal. You do have to drive a distance to get anywhere. Also need to make sure you get staples (coffee, spices, etc) because the house is very limited. We would stay here again!

Lovely property!
This home offered everything we needed for a memorable introduction to Costa Rica- a blend of clean accommodations and nature. A chorus of Howler calls and bird songs awoke us daily, inviting us to join them outside. Great combination of indoor and outdoor living spaces. Such helpful and honest staff- found and drove a lost diamond earring to us!
Construction should be expected very close to the property. Costa Rica is busy with building.

Amazing Casa Brisas Del Mar!
We had a wonderful time at Casa Brisas Del Mar! The location and the house was a perfect fit for us! Our group of 9 was extremely comfortable, we were able to dine together and yet still have our own private space. The property manager was very attentive you our needs during our entire stay. This was a plus being it was our first time visiting Costa Rica! The views from the house were amazing, we had a family of monkeys in our backyard yard and a daily visit from an iguana, we couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay! Definitely would book this place again!!!

Had a great time in Costa Rica, the concierge service was 2nd to none!!
Leaned heavy on concierge they were extremely accommodating, they went above and beyond to ensure we had a good stay. A member of our party’s bags were delayed two days and we had the bags delivered to Blue Water Properties office. Kelly took it upon herself to ensure the bags were not delayed another day and brought the bags all the way to us while we got to enjoy our excursion. That is what you call great service very appreciate the whole experience. I also would highly recommend booking Chef Danielo & Chef Myriam and there crew incredible meals and a very personalized and unique experience for our party. Looking forward to a future stay with Blue Water Properties.

Fantastic House in All Ways!
Highly recommend this house! It was absolutely perfect for our party of 10. We were traveling with 2 small children too and it was nice having the separate casitas for those who didn't want to be woken up early with the kids. We really enjoyed the pool and the afternoon visits from the monkeys! The view was incredible and Playa Conchal beach breathtaking. Rebecca and her team at Bluewater were always very helpful with any requests we had before our trip and during (and we had many!). We hope to return sometime in the future!

This house was amazing. Contact with the property manager was phenomenal. Would highly recommend to family and friends. I would definitely book again. I would recommend getting a rental car because it is about 40 minutes away from tamarindo. Concierge service was super attentive to needs.

Fantastic House in Remote Location
The property was fantastic with plenty of both space and privacy for our family of 11 with grandparents, two sets of parents, and a total of 5 kids. It was well-equipped and had a beautiful view.
The property was 3.8km down a bumpy, unpaved road from a small town. The beach is a long walk/short drive further down the unpaved road. The beach was lightly populated and absolutely beautiful.
Most activities (i.e. fishing, restaurants, snorkeling, etc) are in or near Playa Flamingo which is about 25 minutes away by car.
If you can deal with (or prefer) being a little remote, this house is wonderful.

Bachelorette Trip of a Lifetime
I was on the hunt for a less traditional but amazing location for a bachelorette party. I truly lucked up with this location and the team who took care of us girls while we were there. This house, the location and all the services provided by Rebecca and her wonderful team were 5 star amazing. Allan and Andres especially took wonderful care of us.
There were 9 women total and we had more than enough space in the house and the three connecting villas outside. The view is killer and the pool is amazing. The location is secluded but it is not isolated. We could walk to the beach within 15 minutes, we weren’t far from local grocery stores, a few local bars and downtown Tamarindo was about a 25/30 minute drive away. We were able to see wildlife from our rooms and the pools and were treated to seeing a family of monkeys climbing in the trees.
One of the biggest things we were concerned about traveling as women was our safety. There’s an alarm on the house that we unfortunately got to know very well because my friends kept setting it off. Lol But there are also security guards on site and at the gate. We felt extremely safe and well taken care of by the concierge team, on site security and even by the local police as we were given an escort to make sure we got home safely one night when we left a local bar late.
As far as taken care of, we felt like little queens. The owner has a list of services you may choose from. We had a chef and his team who made breakfast and dinner for us a few nights and mornings while we were there. Everything was delicious. The concierge team also provides services such as providing groceries before your arrival and arranging transportation for you for tours, nights out, the airport, etc. We had a wonderful time on the Arenal Volcano and hotsprings tour and I’m extremely grateful to all the drivers for putting up with our shenanigans. :)
Overall, I would HIGHLY recommend this house, Rebecca and her team to anyone looking to travel to this area in Costa Rica.

Paradise with room for everyone!
Our week in Costa Rica could not have been better! Like many travelers, one of the biggest struggles is where to stay. Finding the perfect house is crucial especially when you are traveling with another family. We were two family’s, 4 adults, 2-14yr olds, 2-12yr olds and an 8yr old. This house is perfect! Main house has a master and 2 bedrooms and just below the gorgeous pool there are 3 more casitas each with their own bath! The pool is magnificent, the view is jaw dropping, the kitchen has all the amenities and is perfectly sized! The architecture left me wanting to find a lot in my hometown and rebuild! We were far enough from the hubbub but close enough to everything we could want! You will definitely want to rent a car so you can get around with ease! No one wanted to leave for our hectic lives at home. We had howler monkeys in the yard along with gorgous parakeets and king fishers. We could not have asked for better accommodations, and the rental company was extremely prompt with all of our requests!!
Highly recommend!

Perfect
This is a gorgeous property. The layout was perfect for the group of ten we hosted. The kitchen and dining table were used for daily meals, a private chef dinner, and cards- lots of evening card games. The pool was so refreshing! We used the outdoor kitchen for grilling fish caught in our morning fishing trip and we made pizza's in the wood burning oven. With adults and a few teens, it was easy to put the teens in the two bedrooms to the left of the house, and let the adults retire to the master bedroom and three casitas. Finding the office for the keys was very easy, as was navigating the area around the property. The maid service we had three times was exceptional! The concierge service was a great help as well.
Getting around does require a rental car. The property has a steep driveway but it is only about 25 yards and then there is another less steep hill to get out of the gated community. Total distance to the gate is about a 1/4 mile. There are no other inclines after that but the road into the community is a rough dirt road of about 4km to get to the paved roads in the nearest town of Matapalo. That drive took about 10-15 minutes. The walk to the beach was easy without a car, except for the two small inclines. There is a local bar and restaurant at the beach that served amazing ceviche. From the town of Matapalo it is very easy to get around to other beachs, adventures, and restaurants. You will want to bring in groceries on your way in to the house or ask BWP to stock essentials as grocery stores are at least 15-25 minutes and not open early or late. We came in late and it was lovely to have snacks, beverages, and breakfast items with us.

Beautiful secluded house
Lots of room. Beautiful house a 3 minute drive to a couple secluded beaches. You could walk to Puerto Viejo, but it’s worth driving the couple minutes to Playa Real or Playa Zapotillal. Your are 25 minutes to Tamarindo, but a world away. Very peaceful location. We had 6 people with us, but we could have had 10 or 12 and still not been crowded. Nice pool and great view from the back deck and back balcony. We would return

Simply amazing!
We loved our stay at this home! We have stayed here before, and have enjoyed each visit. The home is close to several beaches and wonderful restaurants, but is quiet and secluded so we feel like we're really 'getting away from it all.' We walked to Playa Conchal (lovely warm water!) several times during this visit, and traveled to other beaches as well. Since our last visit screens have been added to the sliding doors, which really enhanced the open air experience. We highly recommend a visit to this home -- you'll love it!

Best Vacation Ever!
We stayed at this property for a week with an extended family of 10. First of all, the house is BEAUTIFUL and very well maintained and cared for. There was more than enough space for all of us, and the guest houses (which are right outside the house) were beautiful and offered some privacy. The pool was awesome and the views are incredible! The concierge, Marcelo, helped to arrange everything we wanted before we arrived - rental cars were there when we arrived, groceries (as per our list) were in the cupboards, and tours were booked, as well as a chef dinner for one evening. The tours that the company booked for us were SO FUN (highly recommend the adventure tour - even for small kids) and the chef who came to cook for us was so professional - a perfect way to end off the trip. The house is quite isolated up in the mountains, but still within driving distance to towns to buy groceries, and shop. Was super glad to not be staying right in Tamarindo, which although is a great spot for dinner or shops, is much more 'touristy' and we were happy to be in a house that felt like it was a little more immersed in local culture. You can definitely walk or drive to a few different beaches, which is great as well. Any time we had any questions or needed any assistance, Mario was a quick phone call away and problems solved within minutes. Loved our trip and loved the house!!!

We searched and searched for the perfect place...and this was it!
The house far surpassed our expectations. It is lovely and accommodated our large group perfectly. The view is fabulous and the proximity to the beautiful beaches is great. Your staff were all most helpful. Mario and Gena made our stay everything we had hoped for. You are blessed to have such efficient people working for you. My hopes are for a return trip to your beautiful property.

Fantastic
Incredible property - great for large families or groups. The 3 separate suites were perfect for the couples in our group. Support staff were very responsive (Mario is an great asset!). Playa Minas, Conchal easily accessible, (3-5 minutes by car) & are wonderfully secluded. Minas rarely has any people on it so it was like having a private beach. The house is simply lovely, well designed, well built, very comfortable. Close to Tamarindo (15 min. by car) which makes shopping easy. Nice to be able to run into town but then return to the relative seclusion of Brisas. Great views, great house for a party.....Pura Vida Yall!

Wonderful Relaxing Hide away
What a wonderful place, spectacular views beautiful rooms and all brand new. We had three couples and five kids and we had room to spare. Walk to a beautiful sandy beach (Playa Conchal) and minutes from numerous other great beaches and restaurants. The home has teak woods everywhere, a lovely pool and lots of room to spread out. We cooked many of the nights and even tried out the pizza oven. Loved this off the beaten path location and can't wait to go back next summer.

Great Home, Great Views!
We stayed at Brises Del Mar for two weeks in July 2012 and without hesitation it was one of the most magnificent experiences our family of four has ever had. The house itself gets 5 stars for design and comfort along with a 24/7 view of Bahia Pirata that was breathtaking not to mention the parrots, howlers, coatis and iguanas that were all around us; the infinite pool's a jewel; and the location of the house was second to none. There were great beaches just minutes away. We are already planning our return trip! The owners of Blue Water Properties, Becky and Keith run a very professional agency and we would highly recommend renting through them. Not only did they make sure that the house had everything we needed, but these folks actually cared that we had a great vacation. Becky and Keith, like the local Costa Rican's, were genuine, thoughtful and wonderful to us. We are grateful to them for making it such a special experience. Also the staff at Adobe car rental in Liberia were very helpful and reliable. We'd definitely recommend using their car rental services!
