This house is absolutely perfect for big families. Everyone has their private space while also having large common areas to share with each other. The “casita” is a plus of this rental. An independent 2 bedroom, 1 bathroom apartment ideal for teenagers or a couple with kids. The location is perfect, walking distance to the beach (about 200 yds) and great amenities (kayak, paddle board, boogie boards, bikes, board games, and more!) Definitely coming back. Great value for money.

Plenty of room for 8 adults and 3 young children. It is an easy walk to the beach from the property. I would recommend renting a golf cart or car to get to town and neighboring Carrillo beach. The pool and outdoor space were very nice. The house is stocked with plenty of supplies for cooking. Cleaning staff came twice during our stay and did a great job. Great stay overall.

We had a wonderful family vacation at Casa Pacifica. The house was perfect for our group of 13 which included my 6month old and 2.5 yr old plus 11 adults. The house was fully equipped and even more beautiful in person than in photos. AspSpotless and the lovely ladies who came to clean were wonderful. We had an issue with the fridge which was solved within hours by the Samara rentals staff.
Samara beach was such a close walk and spent lots of time between the pool and Samara and Carrillo beach.
We loved seeing and hearing the Howler monkeys and the resident Iguanas on the property.
Samara rentals was so helpful with recommendations and logistics.
10/10 recommend. Best family beach vacation ever!

We enjoyed every minute. The houses were extremely comfortable, clean, and spacious. The pool and hot tub were popular with all ages, and we were at a beach everyday. Samara Beach and Playa Corillo were our go-to beaches. We found that the far ends(N&S) of Samara were good for the kids who even got up on the surf board for the first time! Sunsets at Samara, a short walk frrom the casitas, are a must for the last evening swim.
There were plenty of bakeries, supermarcados, shops to choose from. We found a local fish market that had the best fresh fish ever. The local coffee was excellent and the local bakeries were full of goodies, ice cream, grab and go on the streets. We never felt unsafe and found excellent restaurants and bars to visit. The location was out of the busy-ness of Samara proper, but local small convenience stores were within minutes of the house.
Leo was fantastic. Super responsive and helpful. The cleaning staff were wonderful. Wifi was amazing. Had some "work" to do, as usual.
Plenty of quiet space for privacy, and beautiful living and eating spaces for sharing the day's adventures.
Overall we had a great time and would not hesitate to recommend to families and friends!

Casa Pacifica was amazing. The property owner is fantastic. He responded immediately to any concerns or questions that we had. The Property Management company was very helpful and prompt with any concerns that needed to be addressed.

We had a relaxing week long stay with three families with young children (ages 2-6). The property had ample room and all the needed amenities, in addition to much appreciated games, outdoor equipment, and DVD’s. Our children loved to play in the pool, do their school work or play games in the outdoor patio (with fans and large table with chairs), and watch for animals (iguanas, geckos, howler monkeys, and so many birds). We were all able to sit down for dinners at the large dinning room table. And when we were not in the mood to cook, we simply ordered from the hotel next door (who also cooked and served our catch from a fishing expedition). We could walk with the kids to Samara beach for boogie boarding and surf kayaking, and the grown ups would walk to Carrillo beach in the early am for a quick escape. The location was quiet, which we preferred, and only a short drive to Samara. We had lots of room for parking with our 3 rental vehicles as well. A security guard was on site at night and was friendly and quite unnoticeable. The cleaners came twice at schedules times, which was much appreciated. We had a great experience and would recommend this property for families or small groups. Oh yes! And the AC’s all worked and made for the best sleeps.

Our group had a great time in this spacious, equipped, and clean property. It’s a quick walk down the street to a great beach for kayaking and snorkeling. We seen monkeys, iguanas, and sea turtles almost daily. The hideaway hotel next door also has a great restaurant. Highly recommend this house and would love to stay again.

We had a wonderful time at Casa Pacifica. We traveled with our extended family, group of twelve ranging from infants to grandmothers. House has plenty of space and was nicer than the photos. Location was absolutely perfect, walk to small beach and short drive into town. Leo helped arrange massages and surf lessons and an amazing meal at the house prepared by Raquel. We’d stay forever if we could.

Casa Pacifica--4 br/3 bath house plus 2 br/1 bath casita--is roomy and comfortable. We loved getting to use the kayaks that come with the rental to explore the nearby Choro Isla where there are hermit crabs and sea turtles; riding the beach bikes; and learning to paddle board. The beach is minutes away. We thought it was funny that the howler monkeys (who seemed to sleep most of the day) would wake up to complain whenever a motorcycle or car drove by. The day didn't end at dark: we enjoyed the backyard swimming pool for hours. Highly recommend!

Very well provisioned house close to the beach! In between two beautiful beaches - short walk to Samara and short drive to Carrillo. Space for everyone to spread out and relax. The pool was a great addition for families and beach toys were provided. Multiple grocery stores in Samara and a great kitchen and grill area to prep food. Wonderful stay!

We enjoyed this lovely property for our large family of ten, near a beautiful beach! The property manager was responsive to assisting with some repairs (AC stopped working in the casita bedroom, but a whole new unit was installed within a day). We loved the pool and seeing the monkeys and iguanas nearby. The home is well stocked with lots of amenities for cooking, bluetooth speakers, laundry soap, paddle boards, sea kayaks, etc. We rented golf carts from Blazing Buggys to get around and into town. Easy Peasy.
A few things we had wished for-- a larger seating area in the main living area to accommodate our group of 10, better water pressure in the casita (was only dribbles from the shower head). Overall a great time and great response from both the owner Paul and Leo the property manager. Pura Vida!

The property is in a good location. It is located between Samara and Carillo. Samara is about a 30 minute walk on the beach and Playa Carillo is a short walk on the road. We didn’t ride the bikes but that would shorten your commute to either place. The beach is a five minute walk and easy to access. There were paddle and boogie boards, kayaks and other beach accessories in the garage. The pool was great and refreshing. One of our favorite places to hang out and the covered patio was quite nice as well. We ate our meals and played games at the table on the patio. The bedrooms were roomy and and the masters had their own bathrooms. They each had their own a/c which was nice as it was hot and humid during our stay. The kitchen and living room were large and had everything you would need for cooking, movies etc. We didn’t use the guest house as we had a couple of people cancel in our party but it was as nice as the rest of the property. We stayed for a week and that wasn’t long enough. Property had everything you could ask and manager and owner were great on communication and we would love to return.
5.0 / 5.0
Casa Pacifica will be on our return visit list as the house interior and exterior were even better than we had hoped. Everything was as described. The pool was as perfect for relaxation. Lots of chairs make gathering in the backyard the best place to hang out.
We saw no less than 12 howler monkeys parading across the trees behind the pool on our last morning.
Air conditioning in the bedrooms was nice for cool sleeping conditions.
Location is fantastic. It is a quick walk down to the beach. No rocks. Wonderful sunsets.
We rented a golf cart and an suv right in Samara after shuttling from the Liberia airport.
We enjoyed an all day water/zip lining tour which was incredible.
The hotel right next to our vrbo had great food, bar concoctions, and staff.
Samara has many great dining offerings.
Wifi at the house was fast.
No complaints. The property managers were very responsive to a couple of questions.
Don't hesitate to visit this area of Costa Rica. It may seem remote but everything that you need is easily available.

Stayed here with my extended family to celebrate my parents’ 50the wedding anniversary. Wonderful property in a fantastic location. We walked to the beach to watch the sunset every night and enjoyed the covered outdoor space. Highly recommend!

Our family of 14 stayed here for ten days. Grandparents, kids and children. The pool is amazing. We used it every day! The beach is a short walk and we spent many hours there playing in the waves.
The town is a ways away. Too far for us to walk with all the children but a quick enough drive to go in for supper and groceries.
We enjoyed our time here!

Perfect property for several families. Plenty of room for everyone. We enjoyed walking to the beach for sunsets. Short drive to town, although we did walk down the beach on several occasions. Well stocked.

We had a blast at this house and casita. We were three families with kid ages ranging from 5-11. We booked a number of things through Samara Rentals, who manage the property:
Surfing lessons
Horseback riding
Private chef
Dolphin tour
Golf cart rental
All were fun. I’d recommend them each. Carrillo beach is close by and really nice. Property is a little ways from the town of Samara, but it’s a nice, large place to escape back to and fit us all in the five bedrooms +loft. Kids loved the pool.
5.0 / 5.0
The house and property are exactly as listed. Everything the other reviews say for fun activities and wonderful staff is correct! Leo set up a shuttle for our group of 10 to and from Liberia and was quick to respond to all requests!
One thing I didn’t realize was the beach close to the house is near a River outflow that makes the water a bit dirty and the beach less flowy type sand. We still played there but preferred Carrillo and closer to Samara in town beaches so it’s nice to have transportation if you’re traveling with kids and don’t feel comfortable walking along the road to Carrillo or have the stamina for walking miles in the heat.
The hotel next door is a great option for food! The housekeepers were amazing! We would come back again!

This property was amazing. It has a nice pool, very well stocked, and good location. The property management company offered support with activities and detailed guide on the house and activities in town.
We saw a lot of wild life, including many monkeys from the backyard.
Note that there may be someone living in a guesthouse on the property part time/ security that has codes to the houses.

Our stay was absolutely fantastic!! The management crew at Samara rentals were absolutely amazing and so very helpful from arranging transportation getting us to and from the house, arranging catering for my birthday brunch, to just checking on us to make sure we were ok. We loved the house and the property! We spent lots of time lounging by the pool and hanging out on the patio and eating! The food was soooo good! I totally recommend Casa Pacifica for a truly relaxing getaway!

We had a wonderful time at Casa Pacifica! We are a family of 5. Two 13 year olds and a 9 year old. Kids had a blast in the pool everyday. There were paddle boards, kayaks, and beach cruiser bikes that were fun to use! Overall, I would highly recommend Casa Pacifica!
5.0 / 5.0
This is a very big property that could easily hold a few families. (We didn't even use the smaller house.) The pool is great, as is the outside area. There are lots of beach toys and sporting equipment. The kitchen has plenty of utensils and appliances. There is A/C in every bedroom and an A/C unit in the kitchen (which wasn't working 100% for us, but it may have just been bad luck.) The living room furniture is a bit dated, but it's fine. There's a guard who keeps an eye on things at night. The location is great- the beach is just a quick walk down the road. Better yet, drive around the corner to Playa Carillo and enjoy that beach. It's also a very quick drive into town for dinner or groceries (recommend Super China). All in all, we loved our stay and would definitely come back.

Awesome vacation
The house exceeded our expectations. Management company was very attentive to questions and booking excursions. The locals were warm and friendly ensuring we felt like family for all interactions. For a large group booking a cook as we did was a relaxing lifesaver. Highly recommend this property!

Casa Pacifica
Beautiful house and service was wonderful. The Wi-Fi and electricity was occasionally a little glitchy and the common area could use some more seating to be able to accommodate the number of guests. When the nightly storms come, staying in and having movie night got a little crowded and the Wi-Fi made Netflix access inconsistent.
The house comes with a variety of beach equipment but the closest beach had more rocks and trees than desirable for a long day. Thankfully, a 30 min walk to town had several options to spend the day on the sand or at one of the many beach clubs.
A rental car isn’t necessary but be prepared for a $6-$10 dollar ride each way. That isn’t a lot but if you have a large group, it can add up.
Paul and Leo are extremely responsive and helpful with suggestions for a great trip.
ATV and horseback riding was awesome but PLEASE bring a rain poncho. The rain was a great experience and helped avoid mosquitoes but if you’re not prepared, you’ll have to replace an iPhone (like us).
In town, Daniel the ceviche guy was a favorite and Sweets by Celia saved the day when our meal plans unexpectedly changed. Pura Vida!

Family time
Great property! We went for a little family reunion. There was enough space to spread out, but still be together. The owner and management were extremely helpful with tours and information. It was great that they had equipment for us to use.

Nice stay overall
Overall this is a large property which is nice for a large group which we had. The pool was key in general as being in the tropical climate mosquitos are present so allowed us to enjoy the outside hanging in the pool. Lots of ants which wasn’t ideal though it is the rainy season so probably no way around that. Close to drive to Carrillo beach and Samara beach.

Celebrated our birthdays in style!!
This house was great! The location was not to be beat and the pool was fantastic! The host and the property manager were very nice and accommodating to all our requests and answered all our questions. I would not hesitate to stay there again!!

Walk to Playa Sámara !
Perfect rental with the main house and casita. Room for everyone! More affordable for a large group vs hotel rooms. The AC units work great in the bedrooms! The kitchen and family room get quite hot and humid. Beds and couches are basic. We recommend adding mattress padding or memory foam, etc, and changing out the couches to fit more people. Our group of 9 could not fit in the family room at the same time. A tropical fabric theme Sectional couch would be very welcoming! Showers were fine. Pool and back patio and BBQ are a wonderful treat! Paddle boards and bikes available. The WiFi wanes. Kids watched Netflix one night. Text messages don’t always go through. WhatsApp seemed to always be fine. Quickest to reach property manager by Calling on WhatsApp. The property is safe and there is a guard all night. We loved the Ninja Blender and made lots of smoothies with the local fruit! You need a rental car to get around to town, store, Playa Carillo, etc. You can walk on the dirt road to Playa Samara. We rented poles for $30 each/day for shore fishing. Caught 1 Red Snapper. We did a great nature hike with Berny Castillo at Nature Tours Costa Rica. We did zip lining and repelling at Wing Nuts Canopy Tours. No sloths in this region of CR, just FYI. As anywhere in Costa Rica, there are insects that come indoors. Mostly tiny ants followed by various sizes of ants. We had a few cockroaches. We all loved seeing the lizards and crabs that live outside around the property. Howler Monkeys are heard and seen in the surrounding fauna. Our home COVID tests were done by Laboratorio Clínico La Cruz. Management set it up. We did the tests at 2pm and got the emailed and WhatsApp results at 8pm. I downloaded them to our airline App. No problems at the airport the next day for flights. Overall, this is a beautiful property with a lot of room for a large group. Enjoy!

Loved Casa Pacifica
We were a group of 8 adults and everyone loved the house, it’s amenities and location. The house and it’s separate Casa had plenty of space for a group our size but can easily accommodate up to 14 people.
The home is incredibly well equipped and has just about every utensil or appliance you could hope for as well as plenty of towels, toilet paper and kitchen basics (sugar, salt, oil etc).
The host, Paul, is wonderful to deal with and responds to any queries within minutes.
It is a 3 minute walk to Samara Beach and about a 35 minute walk on the beach into town - great location with lots of privacy.
Thank you Paul for a beautiful week in paradise!

Paul's piece of paradise.
Paul's place is an amazing place to enjoy some away from town downtime while still being close enough to jump into just about any activities Costa Rica has to offer within a few minutes drive. At the house we were able to feed iguanas, watch monkeys play in the trees, and all the while sipping drinks in the pool. The neighboring hotel (the hideaway) is also insanely accommodating. They even cooked some Spanish Mackerel that we caught during a nice trip with Captain Frank (at the end of the road). ILL BE BACK

Everything we were hoping for and more!
Casa Pacifica is a beautiful home in a perfect location. The house is extremely well equipped, with tons of extras you don’t typically see in a vacation rental -including paddle boards, kayaks, sand toys, pool toys, bikes, books, games, magazines, seasonings and spices (Lizano!), etc. We walked to Samara and Carillo beaches, strolled to/from Samara along the beach, bought fish at the house down the road, paddled to the nearby island to snorkel, grilled fish tacos for the grill, whipped up pina coladas in the blender, swam in the pool, watched the howler monkeys move from tree to tree in the backyard, and had the best time ever. Communication with Paul & Leonardo was so easy and reassuring. We would not hesitate to stay here again, and have recommended the home to many friends for future trips.

Really a GREAT option just out of Samara
We had a great time at C. Pacifica. Perfect for our needs lots of space/privacy, well-appointed and safe.
Paul (owner) and Leo (manager) are super easy to communicate with and helpful.
Howler monkeys, leafcutters ants, iguanas all in the back gave a great Costa Rica experience.
There is a great entertainment/pool area at the back which can be used as a base, but it's close enough to town and a super short walk to the beach. Playa Carrillo just over the hill is a fabulous beach.
Samara its self was thoroughly enjoyable.
Next time we hit up this area we will try and stay again!!
