About this cabin rental
As featured in Canadian Living magazine, Cottage Living magazine, and on the 604now's Bucket List for 2017, the Micro Cabin is nestled on a heritage homestead surrounded by lush garden and towering cedars. The ocean and the heart of Roberts Creek are two minutes away. We are located halfway between Gibsons and Sechelt, making it a perfect homebase to explore the Sunshine Coast from. Enjoy a solo retreat or a relaxing getaway for two while trying out tiny house living!
We built the 125-square-foot Micro Cabin after being inspired by the tiny house movement. Guests should be aware that this is a tiny cabin, which means - it is a tiny cabin! The space is small but bright and airy, with high ceilings and lots of windows and natural light. We think you'll find it to be carefully laid out and thoughtfully appointed. The full-size bed is made up with 100% cotton linens to ensure a good night's sleep. The kitchen is well stocked with all that you need to make something delicious. The bathroom is a fully tiled wet bath like that on a boat. There is plenty of outdoor space here on our private acreage to sit and daydream or finally start writing that novel. Relax at the picnic table with a mug of hot tea and watch the sunrise or gaze at the stars. If you're lucky you might see one of our resident deer and her two fawns wandering around the property. Black bears live here too!
Our small homestead is one of the oldest in Lower Roberts Creek on the Sunshine Coast. We live on the property in a farmhouse that was built in 1926 for the area's first schoolteacher. We look forward to sharing our slice of paradise with you.

Beautiful piece of paradise
We truly enjoyed our stay at the micro cabin. The cabin was as listed and felt private. Everything that we needed was provided. The binder had lots of helpful tips and recommendations. Some top tips were eating at the Gum Boot Cafe in Robert's Creek, grabbing dinner in the Gibsons marina at Smitty's, and taking advantage of all the hiking in the area. I was glad that our host recommended that we get our ferry tickets in advance as we were unfamiliar with the process and would've waited a long time. We appreciated her consistent flexibility as we had some unexpected changes to our itinerary and she was very accommodating.

The coziest getaway ever!
Celebrated a 27th birthday, while getting away from the hectic winter season in whistler, would recommend to anyone who’s looking for intimate time with the family and a relaxing adventure ♥️

So cute and Well stocked
We loved that this property was dog friendly and worked great for our 3 night stay in Roberts creek to attend a wedding. The bed was comfy and everything we needed was available. Great spot and Karen is kind, offered to shuttle us to the wedding etc. And of course we appreciated the beer and eggs!

Cute, clean, comfortable and well-thought out!
We stayed here for 4 nights in August. The cabin looks like a little playhouse, but everything you need is there. It was a great base for a couple sightseeing and canoe-daytripping in the area. Karen was very welcoming and responsive, although unfortunately we never met her in person (due to conflicting schedules).

A perfect experience
A perfect getaway from the chaos of the city. Used it as home base for 3 days of biking the Sunshine Coast's excellent DH and freeride trails. Couldn't have been happier with how cozy and comfortable the cabin was and how at home we felt as the property owners guests. We will be returning guests over and again

Great place to stay!
My sister and I stayed in the micro cabin over Thanksgiving weekend. We found the cabin to exactly as described in the listing. It is cozy but comfortable and well laid out for its size. It stayed nice and warm even on cool, rainy nights. Karen was a kind and very helpful host. She provided several suggestions of things to do in the area. On her recommendation, we ate at the Gumboot Cafe and Restaurant a few times during our stay which was delicious, had a beautiful walk in Cliff Gilker park, and even watched the sunset on a quiet beach down the road. The location was central and convenient for everything we had planned that weekend. I would stay here again on my next visit to the Sunshine Coast.

Amazing Experience
The Micro Cabin was perfect start to finish. We will be returning!!! Karen was fantastic and hospitable, and had suggestions of the must do's in the area. The Cabin was all you need, clean, comfortable and an experience. The Robert's Creek location is central between Gibson's and Sechelt and easy to access from the 101. The property the micro cabin on is a beautiful shared property with lots of gardens and trees for privacy. There is rock beach a 10 minute walk way and a larger beach with a sandbar about a 15 minute walk. We were huge fans! Loved the Mixro Cabin experience, Karen was superb and the area was picturesque.

Inspiring!
My husband and I stayed in the micro cabin for three nights and enjoyed every minute of it. Karen greeted us as soon as we were settled and recommended some beaches and trails nearby for us to explore and we took her up on all of them! The beautiful flowers on the picnic table upon our arrival and fresh eggs and cream in the fridge were such nice touches. The cabin was absolutely adorable with all the amenities you would ever need for a relaxing vacation. The loft bed was very comfy and the windows to the starry night sky made it magical. We spent our evenings sitting by the open fire pit with wood supplied by our gracious hosts. We will definitely be returning to this inspiring place.

Fairy Tale Inspired
I stayed 6 days in the micro cabin and never noticed its smallness. The windows let in lots of light and the arrangement of furniture with space blended into a beautiful, comfortable space and the loft bed was especially comfortable. Walking down the gravel driveway through the wooded neighborhood into the cabin and living in the cabin was an enchanting experience - like participating in a fairy tale. I am so hoping to be able to return next year.

Perfect getaway!
We pulled into a spectacularly lush and dream-like neighborhood to find the cutest itty-bitty cabin with a pitcher of wildflowers on the picnic table. Inside was a lovely welcome note sitting for us on the table and fresh eggs, cream and beers in the fridge. The cabin was a quick walk away from an incredible secluded beach where we saw a seal, eagles, starfish and a sea otter. We spent most of our time out of the cabin exploring Cliff Gilker Park, Smuggler's Cove, Porpoise Bay via rented kayaks and eating at the delicious and super close Gumboot Cafe. It was delightful to come back at night to the cozy and clean cabin which had everything we needed.

Spectacular and exquisite
We spent 8 nights in this marvelous micro cabin and we enjoyed every second of it. Karen is indeed considerate; upon our arrival which was a rainy day, she provided us with some delicious hot chocolate plus some beers in the fridge which we enjoyed later at night. We had everything we could ever imagine in this tiny cabin. We used only public transit and yet we got to see Sechelt and Gibsons and all around Roberts Creek. Sunshine coast is beautiful.
I loved the silence of the nights. We spend the nights sitting by the propane fire pit watching the shooting stars.
Overall Karen made our little adventure lovely and delightful. :)
