This beautiful and expansive condo is located in the Great Bear Lodge building, right in the heart of The Village at Northstar. Located on the 4th floor, the residence overlooks the skating rink and is a short walk to the gondolas. Experience the ultimate Northstar vacation with complete privacy that begins with direct elevator access into the condo. The open floor plan features a comfortable great room with gas fireplace. There are televisions and DVD players in every room. The home is perfect for entertaining with a dining area which opens right onto the large private patio. You will be in the center of all the action with spectacular views of the slopes and skating rink below. The master bedroom is a beautifully decorated king suite. This family-friendly residence features a queen bed in the second bedroom and a queen bed and a twin-over-twin bunk in the third bedroom, each with en-suite bathrooms, and a queen sleeper sofa in the living room. This exclusive residence is the ultimate in Village at Northstar luxury!
Shared outdoor hot tubs and fitness center are located on the ground level of the Iron Horse South Lodge. Guests may also enjoy use of the Village Swim and Fitness Center, which includes a year-round saline pool, hot tub, large fitness facility, locker rooms with steam showers, and a game and lounge area. This residence includes one underground parking space in the heated parking garage with elevator access. Whether you choose to hike, mountain bike, golf, ski, or skate, you will find everything you need only steps away from your front door.

Our stay was wonderful. This is a great location with shopping and restaurants below if you just want to relax on property. The beaches nearby wee beautiful with plenty activities to choose. We would stay here again!

We had 3 couples and a baby and the space was perfect for us all. The Village was quiet but perfect for walking around and our toddler free to roam. Our condo had great family space and each couple enjoyed privacy as well.

Great stay over MLK weekend, we got snowed in and needed to stay an extra day…..no problem! Property exceeded our expectations.

This place was better than expected! It is spacious (bigger than pics) and has a great floor plan. The beds were super comfortable and kitchen was perfect! My teens loved exploring the property and also the fact that elevator opens to the room. It was a little dead but we didn’t mind the chill factor. Great live music that filled the place during happy hour. Perfect 5 day getaway. Don’t hesitate on booking this place- you will not regret it!

The unit was perfect for our family get together! The four bedrooms and 4 bathroom provided privacy while the spacious common areas invited everyone to gather. The location of the unit in North Star provided us with a base of operations to enjoy rafting, hiking, shopping and dining in Truckee and along the shore of Lake Tahoe, along with a visit to Donner Pass. We will be returning in future years!

A Summer Break at Northstar
We have stayed at Great Bear several times during the Summer over the years and GB 404 did not disappoint. It is a great base for visits to North Tahoe beaches and restaurants. Our family enjoyed it throughly.

A gem in the middle of Northstar Village
We had 2 families staying at this lovely condo. It is spacious and the location is perfect (right above Starbucks and rink). I highly recommend it.

Perfect Location!
The entire process -starting with Lauren in reservations was easy. The home is absolutely one of the best homes we’ve rented through VRBO. Easy check in, spotless, location is a 10, ski in ski out, equipment locker downstairs so you don’t have to drag all your equipment upstairs, room for everyone and the home is fully stocked. Large balcony over looking skating rink and the elevator that opens directly into your home is convenient. Even in the summer months this would be the perfect spot to vacation.

Star of Northstar
Beautiful property with a big lovely deck overlooking the village rink and all the activities that go on down there as well as the surrounding trees. Close to shops and restaurants just steps away...Well appointed but would have appreciated a few items in the kitchen like sugar so we didn't have to get dressed and go downstairs to Starbucks for morning coffee.
The master bath floor was not clean and one of the blankets on the bed was dirty as well. (May need a better cleaning service).
We would stay there again as it is very nice and we very much enjoyed the property and location !

The unit exceeded our expectations! The pictures don’t even begin to show how amazing the unit is. The unit was nicely decorated and had a gourmet kitchen. Easy access to the unit from the parking garage and main activities on the main level. Very quiet at night but the center of all the activities during the day. The management was extremely attentive to any of our needs.

Loved this Great location!
We loved our stay! This is a great location, and a well equipped, deluxe and nicely furnished unit. It is a short walk to the gondola, restaurants and overlooks the ice skating rink. We didn't find the rink noise or band playing to be objectionable as others have noted -- it would be quiet by bedtime and is part of the energy of the village. We had two small children in the group who enjoyed it alot. The only reason for not giving a full five stars is there was some intermittent mechanical system noise -- I suspect it's the HVAC system -- which was a little loud for us in the front master suite.

Best possible location at the resort
It was everything promised. Hopefully we will return next year. The only diss was lack of pots for the kitchen (six or eight frying pans) so we purchased a couple along with some Tupperware ware and left them for the next crew.

This condo is spacious and luxurious. It is right above the skating rink so if quiet is a priority for you it might not be your cup of tea. However, we liked everything about the space, the maintenance of the property, the full-size washer and dryer, and the elevator right into our condo. Parking is also super easy as you park at the base of your own elevator. This property was perfect for two grandparents, two parents, and two children/grandies. The space could have easily accommodated more children. When we experienced a problem with the a/c in the main room (bedrooms have their own units) it was fixed promptly. Northstar is an easy drive to the river, lake, and Truckee.

Just wanted to say.....How can someone complain about the noise of a Zamboni, thats kinda crazy. We stay in Northstar all the time. I think you may need to stay somehwere else. Northstar is loud and fun during the season.

WE found the condo to be very comfortable and the location is the best. The beds and bathrooms are excellent. We had difficulty sleeping at night in the master given the close proximity to the ice skate rink and the constant band noise. In addition the slow clearing machines on the rink start at 6 am and the noise is also intense.
