This beachside cottage is only 92 feet to the beach access and only 176 yards or a 3-minute walk to downtown Seaside, Florida with over 35 shops and restaurants just minutes from your front door! This family-friendly cottage has the most amazing outdoor spaces and might just be your new favorite beach cottage in Seaside, FL.
Guests can arrive and park in private parking in front of the cottage (private driveway for 2 cards), and head towards the entry doors. A spacious, furnished back porch awaits at the rear of the home, offering a dining table for four, lounge seating, and a swing, all overlooking a serene footpath, and serving as a fantastic outdoor sanctuary to enjoy morning coffee and breakfast, or a glass of wine in the evening. Enter into the first story to land in the foyer area. The foyer area has custom built-in storage to host plenty of your beach gear for your stay. There are two king bedrooms down each with ensuite private bathrooms and one offers a bonus bunk! This first king bedroom has ample storage, a closet, a large mounted flat-screen TV, porch access, and a newly renovated ensuite bath. The just renovated bathroom has a single vanity and a tub & shower combination. The second king down has its own mounted large flat-screen TV, dresser, porch access, and a bonus custom built-in bunk room for two more. The updated bathroom has a single vanity and a glass-enclosed walk-in shower. The bonus built-in bunk room accommodates two more and it has its own private mounted flat-screen TV as well.
Head up the staircase and land in an open-air second level with a renovated kitchen to the left with bar top seating for two more, and a tasteful, communal living/dining area to the right, featuring a dining table for six and a coastal, spacious living area with comfortable seating for all, as well as a flatscreen TV. Had a wonderful family vacation while staying at this home. Location Can not be beat as it is literally a few steps away from town square and the beach. This home had everything we would could need but again, the location is amazing . The home had a water leak occur during our stay and the home collection group quickly came to assess and resolve the problem and it did not negatively affect our trip. I have utilized other home rental services in tbe seaside area and this one takes the cake in my opinion because of their great communication before and during the stay. They offer a lot of great information about seaside upon arrival and I will most definitely be utilizing this rental service again in the future! This home was also the cleanest I’ve stayed at compared to another rental group we’ve utilized in the past.

It was not what the website made it look like. It looks large on pictures. Rooms have King beds yes, but it is so small. The King upstairs with bathroom has so many issues. I need full page for it. The WiFi is terrible (people can't be on phones, etc all at once) The place is old and dirty. No upgrades in 20 years. The living chairs filthy and old. Light bulbs out everywhere. Windows so filthy the View is MUTE! Dishwasher tray is broken the dishes fall out when you pull out all the way. Patio chairs are filthy we had to do a thorough cleaning before their use. The upstairs shower has a glass gap so wide the water leaks out you have to put a towel to catch it or it goes everywhere. I mean 15,000.00 for this. Crazy, I have rented so much nicer for this kind of money. At Seaside. I didn't contact the mgmt becasue I didn't want to stir it up and complain but I am going to reem you on Yelp or other sight. If its the owners that are cheap and not wanting to upgrade ok but they are missing repeats. Look at how many times I have stayed at Seaside using Homeowners. 13 years I have been renting there including Cottage Rental AGency. All I can say.... its the mgmt company and the owners are missing it here.

This thoughtfully and beautifully appointed house felt like home. Our family of 6 adults and one child had what we needed to have quality family time. The location was just right for one family member who is disabled and can only walk so far. We took full advantage of the bicycles and the fitness center/yoga room, and absolutely enjoyed the private pavilion beach access. The lights in the upstairs bathroom could have been much brighter, and maybe a greater variety of bed pillows.

Seaside fun!
We enjoyed our stay at Wave the Wheat and the location was great as it was literally a 2 minute walk to our chairs on the beach and the stores and restaurants in Seaside. It was a smaller home than we normally rent in Seaside but all 3 bedrooms were nice size with king beds. The bunk room is tiny but allowed for 2 more guests so that was good.
The property management company was great…they informed us before we arrived that the wood boards in the walkway up to the front door were very loose and that unfortunately they would not be repaired until after our visit so be careful! Thank goodness they did because you could not tell until you were walking on them and they were somewhat dangerous. Hopefully that has been taken care of. now. The kitchen faucet was very loose and completely came unattached from the counter and they had a plumber out immediately to repair it and it was good from then on.
One issue we had was that every so often there was a bad smell in the downstairs bedroom with the bunk room attached. After a few days we finally realized it was only happening when the vent/fan was on in the bathroom. As long as that fan was not on there was no smell.
All in all it is a great house and we would stay there again!!

This is our 2nd year at Wave The Wheat. The house is great for families with older children. The master is upstairs and the kids have their own space on the lower level. The house is well-stocked with anything that you need. If anything is missing, it's a quick phone call or text and you will be taken care of. Seaside has changed a lot over the years. The crowds during our summer trip were a bit chaotic. The only drawback to being in this house is that it is RIGHT in the middle of the nighttime "parade" of cars and loud noises on 30a. This goes pretty late into the night. The trade off is having the beach steps from your back door! We love Wave The Wheat. Thank you!

It was simply delightful to be back in Seaside and in one of our favorite houses. After a 4 year absence, we were happy to find not much had changed. The beach, water and weather were perfect and Wave the Wheat was the perfect house for 3 couples. The location could not be better, the beds were comfortable and the view relaxing. We were excited to see that many of our favorite shops and restaurants were still there. One thing was different which we found off-putting. Extra toilet paper and toiletries like shampoo are not provided. I have never stayed anywhere where this was the case. Really should revisit this policy. You charge a big fee to rent these houses and you skimp on toilet paper?!

Great house in a great location!
We had a wonderful time at Wave the Wheat. The house is steps away from the ocean and Seaside (town square). You can hear the surf at night, and walk to all of the amenities in Seaside or Watercolor. The finishes in the home are fantastic. The beach access is great from the Pensacola Pavilion, and is just far enough away from the Seaside proper beach that you're not on top of each other. We highly recommend Wave the Wheat and look forward to our next stay!!!

We enjoyed the short walk to the beach! Very close to West Ruskin pavillion was our favorite part. The cottage is very bright and fun. It is also very close walk to seaside square for lunch etc..
We did contact homeowners for the cleanliness upon arrival(fans dirty, a/c filter needs replaced, bedding had blood stains on duvet and the gas grill needs to be replaced! Ended up to have a gas leak from it so we were unable to use the gas grill during our stay. The upstairs bedroom only has sheers therefore you can see straight thru at night (not good).

Other, than some damage done by the previous renters(it was taken care of immediately), the house was perfect, and in a great location. We loved the block's walk to wonderful eateries, and the shopping. We felt safe letting the kids go for ice cream by themselves. We, especially, loved the beach service.

This was our second stay at "Happy Ours" and we loved it as much as we did on our first stay! The kitchen is nicely equipped, the beds are comfortable and there are plenty of games if you have a rainy day! Steps to the beach and to central square. Arrive and park the car for the whole stay!
