About this house rental
Our kid friendly, dog friendly, accessible, no smoking two-bedroom , two-and-one-half bath home (2359sqft) is perfectly suited for two couples or a family. The eight hundred square foot deck and firepit are very close to the water at high tide in Admiralty Bay (no bank). Sleeps 8 people. The two large, bedroom suites each feature a queen-size bed, and there are two additional queen wall beds in the TV & dining room (closes off with pocket doors for privacy) if needed. Two full baths (both with walk in shower & bench) and half bath allow for everyone to have privacy. There is high speed WIFI through the house (powered by T-Mobile 5G) and the recreation room includes a smart 46 inch flat screen TV (Netflix, Amazon, Hulu included). The living room/dining room and kitchen covers the full width of the house on the ocean side and is completely windowed for maximum ocean views. The fully stocked kitchen features everything a gourmet cook could want plus there is an outdoor beach barbecue (firepit) area and charcoal BBQ. The house is heated with ductless heating and cooling systems plus two gas fireplaces that are guaranteed to take the chill off any of those on shore breezes you may encounter. There is not access to a hot tub. All linens, towels and paper products are provided, and there is an extensive library with games and DVDs to enjoy as well. There are two enclosed patio side yards which is handy for your canine companions when they aren't running on the beach or swimming. Well trained dogs (2 max) are allowed in the house as well, but not on the furniture!
Fun things to do on the property and nearby: Spend hours beach combing on the shores of Admiralty Bay or gazing out at the view of the Olympic Mountains and Keystone ferry making it's run across the Sound. Fly kites and explore the big guns at nearby Fort Casey State Park or hop a ferry to the historic town of Port Townsend for dining or shopping. Bike ride around Crockett Lake and tour historical farms. Fish directly from our beach and bird watch in the adjacent state bird preserve. Hike the bluff trail above the ocean in nearby Ebey's Federal Reserve. Drop crab pots or go clamming. Scuba dive at the state underwater park just down the beach and scour the horizon for submarines and cruise ships. Zip into nearby historic Coupeville (a 8 minute drive or 25 minute bike ride) for dinner and shopping.
All this is possible from our beach home situated at water's edge and surrounded by a 1600+ acre wildlife preserve, the largest in the Pacific Northwest. Our home is adjacent to a state owned preserve and feels very private. We are located on Whidbey's Scenic Isle Way 90 minutes from Seattle (including ferry from Mukilteo) and minutes from cute and historic Coupeville. Deception Pass State Park is just a short drive away - a site visitors come from far away to see. You might even be lucky enough to have our resident bald eagle pair sit on the flagpole for your viewing enjoyment.
Off and on throughout the year when the squadron is not deployed, the Navy Growler jets based at Whidbey Naval Air Station practice touch and go landings up at the airstrip about a mile away and they will circle over the house. You can park at the end of that airstrip and watch them roar overhead (a la SeaFair) or you can admire them from our deck. But please know that when they fly, it is loud. Please inquire if you have questions about this before you book.

Two long-time friends and I enjoyed our stay right on Admiralty Bay! The home was lovely and accurately depicted on the website! We appreciated the privacy of 2.5 bathrooms and the big, well-stocked kitchen. The entire wall of very clean windows afforded an ever-dynamic view of the bay and sky. We had a visit from the resident eagle and the great blue heron was a tireless fisherman! Nearby activities we loved were hikes at Fort Casey and Ebey’s Landing!
Owner Stacy was prompt to communicate and sent a great list of personal recommendations for activities and restaurants. Caretaker Betty was friendly and available to answer our questions. Overall, a great stay on beautiful Whidbey Island!

We loved this relaxing beach home with sweeping views of the bay. Cooking in the very well appointmented kitchen and sitting out on the huge deck with binoculars were the highlight of our trip. In fact we decided to spend the whole last day just at home, enjoying the fabulous house and getting a final incredible wedge salad from Callen's just up the road.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay! I think our jaws were actually dropped when we first walked in; the huge windows overlooking Puget Sound, the large deck and chairs, the big couches and rooms, all of it was exemplary. Our family of four were able to spread out well in the house, and we loved the supply of puzzles, games, and the cozy seating. We saw a bald eagle daily perched just outside on the dock, as well as porpoises, herons, and lots of other various birds. My single piece of advice is to bring water shoes like Chacos or keens for the beach, especially if you like going in the water, as the ground is mostly rocks vs sand. Beautiful rocks, though, and both our young girls loved exploring all the different colors and shapes and throwing them in the sound. Otherwise, Coupeville is close enough to access and was fun to visit a couple times. Thank you for a super stay! What a beautiful home.

Stayed 5 nights. Very clean and comfortable home! So much to see and do in the area - kayaking, fishing, golf, bird watching and just watching the ship traffic in front of the majestic Olympic mountain range. Keystone/Ebeys preserve is a special place.

We loved our relaxing stay at this wonderful house. Everything was clean, cozy and well stocked. We loved sitting on the deck and enjoying all of the sea life, birds, ferries and the beautiful scenery. Coupeville is a cute town which we enjoyed exploring. We look forward to returning very soon!

We LOVED this house. The kitchen was fully stocked. The living room was so comfortable. There were spaces for everyone to spread out but it still felt intimate. We're big bird watchers, and were not disappointed by the constant rotation in amazing birds. We also really enjoyed being so close to the Ferry for a quick trip to Port Townsend. The beds were beyond comfortable and we were even able to do a quick door dash order for things we forgot (not always an option on Whidbey). The house is older and presents that way, but not ever in a negative way for us. There is also the fly overs from Fort Casey. I knew what to expect, but was surprised at how long they lasted. We grew a bit immune to it, but probably worth checking their scheduled ahead of time to prepare. We'll definitely be back.

This was a fantastic place. Sitting on the porch in the morning with my coffee and Golden Retriever watching the pair of eagles while my friend slept was truly amazing. We had a fantastic time and hope to come back

Access to the beach is right out the door! It was pleasant and relaxing to just sit and watch the ferries come and go. There is plenty of space for a family and the kitchen is stocked nicely. I would definitely stay here again.

What a great stay with the most spectacular view. Would highly recommend! We were lucky enough to see a pod of Orcas, spent most of our time outside on the deck and beach, even in mid October!

Great house for one family or two that want a clean, comfortable house and amazing views of the water. Easy access to Coupeville and Ebeys Landing, and walkable to Fort Casey State Park. All the right touches to make it easy to stay in and space for everyone to enjoy time together, or kids to have their time and parents to have theirs. Would definitely book again!

My 2 friends and I came for our yearly getaway and we had a wonderful time! The cabin is beautiful, functional, and comfortable, with all the details seen to. The coffee, tea, snacks were so nice to have available, as well as the streaming services. The surrounding area was lovely to walk in, and the cabin felt secure and safe at night. We loved seeing the deer and other creatures walk by, and enjoyed the forest view from the huge windows.

Nice cozy cottage right on the water! Watched ships go by and even had an eagle on the perch next to the deck. The house was well equipped and comfortable. With the view we never even turned the tv on! Would definitely stay here again!!!

If you are looking for a quiet place at the beach for you and a small group or family I highly recommend this lovely beach house. Beautiful views, beachfront access, comfy beds, and a well stocked kitchen made it hard to leave after two nights. My favorite thing was the big comfy couch that was perfect for lengthy chats with my girlfriends. Don't be surprised by the presence of mosquitoes or the sulfur smell of the tap water. We just kept doors and windows shut and used the bottled water provided. The caretaker was very responsive and helpful. It was a wonderful location to celebrate my 50th birthday. I can't wait to visit again.

The owners clearly care deeply for their home and it shows in the comfort, décor and well stocked kitchen. It has the best reading material of any place I've ever stayed including local information. The location right on the beach is superb and the proximity to so much beauty worth experiencing. This is beyond a five-star place to stay.

From the very beginning every aspect of this booking was delightful and easy. The property owner was so friendly and responsive. The manager met us at the house and gave us a tour along with lots of helpful information. The home itself is beautiful! The location, right on the water is superb with a full view of the Port Townsend Ferry as well as the Tankers and Cruise Ships coming into and out of the channel. The house is extremely well furnished and we especially enjoyed the 5 gallon water dispenser. I just can’t say enough about this fabulous home and we can’t wait to return!

My husband and I, two teens, a tween and a pup stayed here for a week in August. It was a lovely home. Perfect size for our family of five. The views from the living room would spectacular. We saw all kinds of wildlife and enjoyed watching the ferry come and go. Stacy was very responsive to questions and their caretaker Betty was communicative and checked in with us during the week. The kitchen and house were well stocked with everything we needed. We would highly recommend staying here.

Rented this so we would have a place to stay close to Crockett Farms for our daughter's wedding. It is spacious with nice big kitchen I used to plating all the desserts I had to bring. There is two big bedrooms, both with private bathrooms providing alot of privacy if staying with other people. There are two areas that are fenced in which is great if you have to bring the dogs along. Right on the water so can't beat the view.

Larger than it looks in pictures. Living and dining areas perfect
for everyone to gather, or space out for those much needed breaks. Location is ideal for exploring the North end of the Island

We had a wonderful time, it was very hot for Island temps, but loved sitting on the beach with our feet in the water. Very easy to visit all the parks from this location and easy access to stores and such. Can’t wait to return , and Thank you Betty you were so kind to us.

The perfect home for relaxing on the waterfront and all it has to offer: mairine mammals; bay birds; mountain views; ferry traffic to enjoy; close to recreational opportunities but equally content to stay home, walk the beach with pups, cook in the completely well stocked kitchen, room for all, driftwood fires for smores, coyote serenade one night, accurately described and loved our stay.

As the title of our review says, this was just what we needed! This beach house was welcoming, comfortable (beds and furniture were very comfy), spacious for our group (3 adults, 2 kids, and 1 dog), dog friendly, thoughtfully stocked, and a great location! It really did check so many boxes for us. Being in Coupeville, we were centrally located to the rest of the island and found this to be an excellent location, and being right on the beach was just glorious….
We loved all the games and puzzles- my kids did a puzzle a day in the front room over looking the incredible view! And we loved the cd player and cd selection- it really added to our stay experience! We also enjoyed the fire-pit where we made s'mores nightly while taking in the view…. So many great memories made on this vacation at this place!
And communication with the owner was great with quick, kind, and helpful replies. We can’t say enough great things about this place, it really was ideal for our family and it being dog friendly was so appreciated, too! They even provided dog towels- so thoughtful!

No matter the weather, there is always a show to be had. We watched the resident eagles each day and saw an otter, many birds, ladybugs, and seals. The unexpected wonderful days of sun were the best! Loved our stay!

We enjoyed our three-day stay at this spacious and comfortable home. The gas fireplace kept us cozy and warm and the home had everything we needed. The neighborhood is very quiet and we enjoyed having the beach to ourselves and watching the Port Townsend ferry come and go. Rock hunting is great here and we loved the Bluff hike at Fort Ebey State Park. A big thank you to the hosts for sharing their home with us and our dog. We had a great time.

What a great place to relax, out of the city and yet so close to great hiking and great food. You can see and hear the sea lions as well as all of the marine life right outside the back door.
We had a great time and are already talking about when we can come back again.

We enjoyed the fantastic views! Right on the water enjoying the sea life and visits from the eagles daily. Place was clean and had everything we would need for our stay. Prompt response from owner when we had questions. This was our second stay here and will definitely come back!

Stacey, your lovely home has it all: fabulous westside Whidbey Island views, a beautiful house, easy access, great parking, privacy and the best supplies we've ever seen! We settled right in and enjoyed a restful nine days while watching the eagles on your home's perch, the cruise ships go by and even the navy escorting a submarine out of Seattle. Betty the Caretaker was warm and accessible - we had everything we needed. Thank you for a wonderful vacation - we'll be back soon!

The house is large and allows for different activities as the recreation room is in the back of the house and the television is there. Lots of books to read, puzzles and games. The home is extremely well stocked with anything you might need and is very clean. We had no jets flying during our week long stay. We loved the eagles which greeted us each morning on the "eagle perch" just outside the beach front windows. The home feels very private. The view is 180 degrees and spectacular. Betty is a gem and having heard we could not find a crab anywhere surprised us with a generous lot. All we can say is "wow!!" We had some great evening fires in the pit and even cooked a few things over the wood fire. Bring a jacket as the winds do kick up in the evening. We liked the fact that the sun does not directly shine into the house, but goes over side to side. That keeps the house cooler. The gas fireplaces warm the home quickly in the morning. Our grandson slept in the Murphy bed which pulls down in the dining area off the front room. By closing the sliding doors, that area becomes a bedroom. All beds very comfortable. Had a great stay and will come back.
