The cottage was warm, cozy and perfect! We enjoyed the fireplace and relaxing in the evenings with a glass of wine. It was very conveniently located for us to enjoy the area and visit many of the local wineries. We look forward to returning in the future!

We happily spent a long weekend at the Flying Cloud Cabin in Niagara on the Lake. It is so comfy and cute. Every detail was top notch. Comfortable beds and furniture. Clean. Kitchen was well stocked for cooking.
Even many books and magazines to enjoy while sitting in front of the gas fireplace. Close enough to walk down to the Lake front.

The Flying Cloud could not be any more adorable if it tried. Absolutely everything you could need is provided to make your stay perfect...and I mean everything! Diane was very attentive and provided excellent communication with us at all times. Great recommendations for places to go and for dinner. Upon arrival we were greeted with a bottle of wine and a "bread" roll (for lack of better explanation of this delicious item!..Budapest Bakery is where it's from in town. We came home with 6 pieces) Thank you Diane for making this a perfect mother/daughter weekend for us!

We had an amazing girls trip visiting this quaint town. The cottage is an awesome 20 minute walk from Main Street and we did it twice a day getting in our exercise. The walk takes you along the lakeshore and the gorgeous homes and golf course. It had everything we needed, beds and linens were lovely. Thx for a great place to hang our hats Diane!

Greeted by a welcoming porch light, freshly cut hydrangeas and the glow of candles, we entered Flying Cloud and were embraced by the warmth of a personally well curated space that honored the history of the home and community. Everything we needed was right at our fingertips including reminders to watch the sunset, lists of favorite places to eat and drink, as well as notes about local happenings! We will look back on this stay fondly and look forward to booking again.

Cozy, warm, rustic charm. Terrific location in the winter. Far from the maddening crowd but close to everything. Loved the long walks and stunning views of Lake Ontario. Highly recommend!

After looking at several places in Niagara-on-the-Lake to stay for a few days for a special birthday with my husband, I decided on the Flying Cloud Cottage and it was definitely the best decision I could have made. Diane was a wonderful host and communicated so well with us and provided a folder filled with any information we would need on local restaurants, stores, activities, etc. From the time we walked in and found a birthday bottle of wine in the fridge and a “locally made Chimney Cake” of aged cheddar (which I highly recommend), our stay was magical. This beautiful cottage is equipped with everything you would ever need and then some. The fireplaces, the most comfortable bed, the designer bathroom and kitchen, the front sitting porch and back patio were all well above our expectations. One of our favorite things was feeding the squirrels in the backyards the peanuts provided by our host. We never wanted to leave but will definitely be back. Thank you, again, Diane for a wonderful stay. Denise and Steve

We had a great stay at the Flying Cloud. When we arrived, Diane had the fireplace going, music playing, flameless candles throughout, and a bottle of wine chilling in the fridge! The cottage is small, but very nicely decorated and cozy. The hosts had stocked up with every amenity we could think of, even peanuts and apples for the squirrels and deer.
We we only a few houses down from the lakeshore at the end of the street and could see the Toronto skyline across the lake. There are lots of places to walk and we were very close to the historic downtown area. The Icewine Festival was going the weekend we were in town so that was fun!
Diane was very attentive about checking in to see if we needed anything, giving recommendations, or offering to make reservations. We'd really like to visit again in the summer when we can spend more time outdoors and will definitely be staying at the Flying Cloud!

My daughter and I had a fabulous stay in Diane’s wonderfully charming home! Diane is so helpful and sent us such a great list of things to do and places to see that it made our stay that much better! Beautiful location so close to the lake. Loved the trees and critters and all the leaves! Best VRBO ever!

Wow! My mother and I traveled to Niagara for the first time for an out-of-town project and our stay at the Flying Cloud Cottage was so perfect. especially after working long days. Diane was incredibly attentive as a host and made sure that we had everything we needed at the cottage. 10/10 stars!

This cozy and well-appointed cottage lulled us into a sense of serenity to the point that we did not move for a full day. The cottage is well-appointed, and as we moved throughout, we found lovely surprises in every room. It is a 5 minute walk from Lake Ontario where we photographed beautiful sunsets. The backyard is awe-inspiring as it is backed by a beautiful Carolinian forest and well-maintained, as is the cottage. We were minutes away from downtown and the Shaw theatre. W were so comfortable, it was hard to leave such a great place.

Pleasant alternative to staying at a B&B in town. Lovely private yard, patio, deck to enjoy a peaceful respite. Everything you need in the kitchen. Short walk to Lake Ontario, gorgeous sunsets. Easy walk, bike, drive to many attractions. Caring, accessible hosts.

This property is very charming, it has everything we needed for a relaxing weekend. Diane is very sweet, she is an amazing host! She welcomed us with a cold bottle of wine nicely sitting in the fridge with a lovely handwritten note arranged beautifully with the wine glasses. She also had delicious chimney breads from a famous bakery downtown - Budapest Bakeshop, ready for us in the kitchen. Her home is clean, cozy and inviting. The lights are warm and soothing. She has a manicured lawn, the backyard is neat - with cushioned seats and a functional fire pit. I love the aqua blue color of the picnic table and chairs. The bathroom is big enough to be another bedroom. There is centralized air-conditioning and 2 fire place too. This cabin is located within a few steps to the lake. The neighborhood is very friendly. This is a perfect rental. Diane is simply awesome! I felt like a found a new friend in her.

The Flying Cloud was an absolute gem to stay while we were visiting Niagara-on-the-lake. The cottage is absolutely beautiful and had all of the amenities we needed and more. We especially loved the extra touches and surprises from hosts Diane and Mark. They truly created a home a home away and recommended lots of fun places to visit and enjoyable places to eat. We are already organizing our next visit.
Thanks for opening your charming home to us.

This cottage has every attention to detail you are looking for in a get away with your partner, another couple or your kids. Lots to do in the cottage as well as around the area. Perfect location to walk to a beach, and just far enough from the downtown bustle that you can enjoy some quiet. Beautiful location just close enough to walk, bike or drive ( less than 5 min) downtown to go out for dinner, take in the theater, have ice cream, or shop! Great attention to details and an amazing host!

Perfect quiet & romantic cottage
Gorgeous 2-bedroom cottage with plenty of open living space, both indoors and out. Incredibly clean, welcoming & hospitable; Diane went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and accommodated. A short walk to Ryerson park to watch the sunset and close to historic downtown, wineries, & breweries. Definitely hoping to make multiple returns.

Flying Cloud
My husband and I loved our one-week summer stay at Flying Cloud. It is a charming, conveniently located, cosy cottage a comfortable walk from the hubbub of the town centre, with a warm, quiet yard just steps from the lake. The cottage is well-equipped and feels like home away from home. We highly recommend this accommodation and it’s wonderful hostess, Diane, and will definitely be back.

Cozy and relaxing retreat!
My wife and I spent a long weekend at Flying Cloud Cottage and we're so sad to leave. The cottage is so relaxing, well appointed, close to town, and 50 yards from the lake for amazing sunsets. What more could you ask for? Well, an amazing owner/host who was so helpful and arranged wine tasting, lunch, and a host of recommendations. Diane went above and beyond and made our stay so very special. We can't wait to come back to Flying Cloud and enjoy all NOTL has to offer!!

Beautiful cottage
We booked this cottage at the very last minute however Diane’s responses and general communications was fast and clear. The property is exactly as listed and you arrive to a local bottle of wine in the fridge with strawberries and tonnes of info on the area. Diane followed up with offers to recommend and reserve dinner options and winery visits. The town itself is a real hidden gem. A beautiful sunset is one minute walk away and you can also reach the town by foot in 25 mins passing some unreal properties. There are lots of options for food and drink and we didn’t manage to see them all. However we will be back one day! Thanks Diane

FLYING CLOUD PARADISE
Step up to this fantasy, fairy tale cottage then cross the threshold into a peaceful and perfectly appointed adult retreat. The Flying Cloud exceeded our expectations in every way from the warmth of two fireplaces tuned to ‘cozy’ for our rainy, spring arrival to the laid back tunes afloat, inviting us to relax and unwind. Settling in, we discovered an unexpected gift from the Big Head vineyard and a savory treat from The Budapest Bakeshop in the galley kitchen—thank you Diane and Mark! Nestled into Carolinian forest meant we were serenaded each morn by the amorous bird songs of spring — our hosts thoughtfully hung binoculars by the doors opening into the yard so we could make the most of the avian show. Steps from the cottage is Ryerson Park, setting of Niagara’s best sunset view and where we celebrated the close of each glorious day of Flying Cloud paradise. Definitely a stay to remember!
