About this house rental

The home sits on a twenty two acre peninsula surrounded by water with a 1/4 mile of private beach front. The lakefront has a large private dock where you can enjoy fishing, swimming, boating or kayaking. There are two kayaks that come with the rental. In the front yard there is a large and beautiful lawn where you can play volleyball, have a camp fire or just enjoy the view. Hinckley Lake is a also winter paradise. Ski the Adirondack Mountains or directly access the Penn Mountain snowmobile trails.

The house has 6 bedrooms and 3 baths with a Foosball table and a dart board in the game room. The main floor living room has a large stone fireplace with cathedral ceilings, a lovely kitchen with custom cherry cabinets and tile floor. The screen room has a table and chairs to sit and enjoy the evening. The house can sleep 15 guests comfortably.

This house is fabulous for a group! We had 12 adults and there was plenty of space. Well manicured lawn allowed for yard games and a great fire pit to laugh around at night! Hinkley reservoir is a gorgeous body of water and this house is top notch!

The house was beautiful, clean and well kept, just as advertised. We had 12 family members and there was plenty of room for everyone. The yard was as well kept as the house and the volleyball net was a huge hit. The water was great for the teenagers, deep enough to jump off the end of the dock but we could keep the younger ones contained inside the dock area. We all enjoyed our family vacation.

We have been renting lake houses for the past 8 yrs for the whole family to be together. We have been bringing things with us that we have found to be in short supply at the houses,like a few dishwasher tablets, garbage bags,dish soap, paper supplies... Was pleasantly surprised that the house was fully supplied..even cheese grater and pizza cutter! For the thirteen of us we had plenty of room and hang out places. We all loved swimming off the dock and using the kayaks. There is one queen mattress that probably should be replaced but other than that, my family said this is their favorite place so far!!

There were several issues with this rental. The clothes dryer worked poorly on day 4 and not at all after that. No dryer for 13 people at a lake house was difficult. The owner tried to fix the dryer but was unsuccessful. There were not enough utensils for family meals. The cookware was a hodgepodge of beat up Teflon. There were no chairs in any of the bedrooms. The screened porch was extremely dirty and had large holes in the screens. The boards on the dock became loose as the dock drifted farther from shore. Our 11 year old granddaughter fell through and cut her leg. The lake is peaceful and the view beautiful. The owner seemed nice and tried to fix the dryer. We would not consider renting this house again as it did not measure up to the others we’ve rented in the past 9 years. That said it was a joy to enjoy the lake with our children and grandchildren.

We stayed at the property for a long weekend and it was a perfect space for us. There was plenty of space for 14 of us. It was very clean which is very important to me. The property has a beautiful view and so much land. There was snow there even though there was no snow anywhere else so the kids were very happy. Overall a great stay. Thank you.

My family had a wonderful long weekend getaway at Dean’s house! The house was comfortable, clean and in a beautiful location. The winter view of the lake was magical!! Dean was easy to reach and so helpful. We all had a wonderful and relaxing time. Would definitely stay here again and highly recommend!! Thank you Dean!!

This house was just perfect for our large family. Space enough to gather together or spaces to have a little quiet time if wanted. The views of the sunrise over the lake were spectacular! Would love to come back in the summer to enjoy the lake. The kids especially enjoyed the foosball table! Dean was great to work with and answered all our questions quickly.

We spent the weekend with our family and pets and had the most amazing time. The description and pictures do not do justice to how beautiful the property is. We went in fall and the home, amenities and available activities left us wanting for nothing. Our host was responsive and very helpful at every step. This house was absolutely beautiful. The pictures do not do it justice. House is absolutely gorgeous and spacious, Perfect for a getaway weekend with friends and family. We absolutely loved the yard and the pier. Perfect for launching kayaks, fishing or just swimming. We are definitely coming back again. 10/10 Weekend.

We rented this house to host a surprise 70th birthday party for my mom. The house and view were absolutely gorgeous, even in March when everything was still frozen. Dean was super responsive, check-in was easy, and my family had a wonderful time.

Our family has been renting homes in the Adirondacks for the last decade and we all agreed that this was our favorite. Beautiful large home with plenty of room to spread out (the basement is beautifully finished and feels like a true continuation of the house), several porches, a large grassy yard and dock at the water's edge, and complete privacy. There is both a gas grill and a bonfire pit. It was perfect for our large family!

Huge lawn leading to lakeside beach with amazing view of lake. Our guests were very pleased. An impressive location for an intimate gathering. A transcendent setting for a ceremony. A beautiful place to celebrate our future! Owner was easy to talk to and accommodating.

Our family (5 adults and two kids) stayed for just under a week in June '22. The house was great, especially with kids. They loved the foosball, darts, bunk beds, lawn, fire pit, and lake. There's lots of space, bedrooms, and no neighbors so its quiet and private. The 3 included kayaks and SUP were a wonderful addition and we loved the private dock for fishing or jumping in. We highly recommend it and might come back again next summer.

The home was beautiful and big enough to accommodate our family. There was a great living room with a full wall of windows overlooking the lake where we spent most of our time together, but the basement provided a separate space for people to get some time away from the group with fun activities to keep them entertained. We all really enjoyed the stay and I would highly recommend this property to anyone.

The house was exactly as advertised and worked great for our smaller group, though has plenty of more space for larger groups. The view was stunning even in winter, and the location provided us with quiet in nature. Also- the little Northwoords Stop and Shop has the best pizza and it’s only a mile from the house. Rocky’s on the water was a great place to sit and watch the live band while we ate. Overall wonderful location for a getaway.
