The hosts were very friendly, and the house was great! The private beach was a 1 minute walk away. Great location for a girls weekend!

The house was great, the private beach was a 1 min walk. The kids and I all had a great time and couldn't have asked for a better host.

The listing says “wake up to ocean view “ not accurate. The beds were so uncomfortable, 3 of us didn’t sleep well. When I was booking the house the owners were very accommodating however, We lost a couple things and the owners said they found things and then never followed up with me.
Disappointed as it got 5 star reviews.
We didn’t speak up to the owners and we should have.

Thoughtful and welcoming hosts, lovely spring weather in the beautiful green and blooming outdoor spaces, and a just-right home for our son's hectic graduation festivities. We made precious memories with all our young adult kids all in one house again. Walking to Salt Island at low tide was an awesome jellyfish adventure for our California crew. Even a week was not enough to do everything this home offers - we would have liked to have had time for a bonfire with marshmallows, too!

Robert and Kiki (and Cos) were right next door if we needed anything, beach was a walk down the road, quiet private road - a cozy stay for being close to family for Easter. Even located my daughter’s left behind items (which we only realized after we got home), much to her relief. Thank you for the hospitality!

The warmest and most welcoming hosts, who have thought of every detail for guests. We stayed in March and the house is cozy and charming and comfortable. The beach right across the street--water views from both bedrooms--is absolutely magical. We made the best memories here.

We stayed from Dec 22 - 27th and had a great time at this property. The hosts were so kind and quick to respond to all messages. They even took the time to decorate the home with a Christmas tree and some extra holiday touches that really were above and beyond! We had zero extra room to bring these things with us and this was so thoughtful!
The home is older, but it has been well kept and it was very clean. I am extremely picky when it comes to cleanliness. The floors do creak, because it’s an older home. The beds were comfortable and we had plenty of room for our family of four. The kitchen was small, but it had plenty of supplies for cooking/serving meals.
The beach is very close and it’s a nice beach with a picturesque view. Fortunately we had unseasonably warm weather and enjoyed some holiday photos on the beach!
Westbrook and the entire shoreline has lots of dining options nearby within walking distance. We really enjoyed The Little Pub and Sal’s and a lobster roll from Lenny & Joe’s is always a must! Pasta Vita in Old Saybrook has some great take & bake options for a quick at home meal.
We would most definitely stay here again!

Robert and kIKi are 5 star hosts! Their rental is clean, beautiful and spacious. It is located on a dead end
street of several well cared for houses. The beach is a short walk away from the house and it borders with the Waters Edge Resort. At low tide you can walk out to a close by island or if you have children they can play on the sand bar. It's a private and lovely area and yet it's right off the main road with easy access to shopping and much more. We had a great vacation.

The house is in a great location. Just a few steps from the beach. We were there for the 4th of July and you could see fireworks everywhere from the beach. We had a couple of issues that Kiki and Robert resolved quickly even though they were away. Definitely would stay again.

Property was exactly as advertised and is in a lovely quiet area with easy access to the beach. We would have been happy to stay longer if our itinerary had allowed it.

Great location, short walk to the private beach, quiet backyard with peaceful marsh view, property is alive with flowers, birds, squirrels, and pollinators. Well-appointed kitchen, right down to refillable Keurig cups. Light on towels, pillow cases- easily remedied. Hosts were friendly, helpful, accommodating. 10/10, recommend!

We had a wonderful reunion with family from New York. Lots of room to relax and beautiful landscaping and neighborhood. The hosts greeted us and answered any questions. We also got some references for wonderful restaurants. So much to do in the area : Beaches, amazing restaurants and sightseeing in Mystic. It was just what we needed to have a great stay.

I'm originally from the New Haven area and visit almost every summer. Robery & Kiki's beach house was a perfect summer getaway. It's a beautiful house across the street from the beach. Every amenity was provided from a washer/dryer, outdoor gas grille, beach chairs, beach towels, good internet connection and on and on. The kitchen was well stocked with utensils and dishware for 10? Robert & Kiki were great and took great pride in their beach house. Even subtle things like laundry detergent, high quality bath and beach towels, nice beach chairs and lawn furniture were all well thought out and nice to have. Although there are houses across the street, both adult bedrooms had views of the Atlantic Ocean, nice way to wake up in the morning/ I was very satisfied with my experience and look forward to potentially returning.

Great little house in an excellent location. This home is located in a nice, quiet area that is still close to all the area activities. Great access to a private beach. Just what we needed for a family of five.

We enjoyed everything about our stay. The spacious living areas, the comfortable sleeping areas. All the comforts of home with beautiful views. The short walks to the beach and the beautiful scenery were relaxing and a blessing. We felt like we were near everything we wanted to do but when we were done we could retreat back to the comfortable beach house. Kiki and Robert were wonderful hosts and I highly recommend this rental anytime you want to get away and unwind.

Just What we Needed!!!
We were attending a wedding at the Water's Edge Resort which is right next door to this property so it was very convenient for us. The house is lovely, well appointed, and has an ocean view from the living room. It was perfect for our needs. We would denfinately rebook in the future. Thank you Kiki & Robert.

This place is magical. Located on a private cul-de-sac, at the end of a private lane, directly across the street from a small but gorgeous private beach. An extremely quiet, often silent, spot. Quiet enough to hear the waves and the shore birds. The beach is situated in such a way that you get spectacular sunrises *and* sunsets. At low tide, there's a sandbar you can walk out on to get an even more stunning view of the effects of the light on the water. All of this is just steps away from the house, about a one-minute stroll. In the other direction, the backyard of the house is on a very pretty salt marsh, with that delicious tidal-mud smell (coastal folks know what I mean!); there are chairs out there and a firepit.
The house is attractive and comfortable, decorated with lots of pretty blues and greens, classic beach colors. Overstuffed, cozy seating in the living room and good mattresses on the beds. Views of the water (between the houses across the street) from the living room and both upstairs bedrooms. Even the upstairs bathroom has a pretty view (of the marsh out back).
Tons of good restaurants within easy driving distance, mostly but not entirely seafood places. Westbrook is great and so are the neighboring shore towns. Hammonasset State Park is about 15-18 mins. away by car: a stunning, wide, long sand beach, well set up for visitors in terms of parking, bathrooms, etc. New Haven is about 35 mins. away by car or you can take the very convenient train (Shoreline East). So while this place itself feels very secluded and private, very much off the beaten track, which is wonderful, it's actually right in the midst of all sorts of appealing stuff, which is also wonderful. Best of both worlds!
Kiki is a great host: pleasant and easy-going, without a ton of nit-picky rules. Friendly and personable but totally respects your privacy. Just a very nice person.
I am always looking for a VRBO vacation to provide me with a "reset." This one gave me the best "reset" I've had in a long time and it happened almost immediately upon arrival. I loved my time here so much I literally starting looking into booking a return the minute I got home. It's that good.

Beach views and old splendor
The property was in a great location of a dead end street with peeks of Long Island sound. This housewill transport you back to the old days of small stairs and creaky floors. We wanted the old world feel and got it. The stash of toiletries saved us from a few hair disasters. The neighbors are lovely and the beach access is only 2 houses away.
