About this house rental

Well-appointed waterfront home on the Connecticut shoreline. Home features its own private beach, uninterrupted views, freshly painted interior, central AC, excellent heating/propane fireplace, washer/dryer, propane gas grill. Charming in all seasons. Located among some of Connecticut's most charming towns (such as Essex, Chester, Mystic).

House is well air conditioned in the summer months; and, nice and toasty in the cooler months. Wonderful local dining and shopping, small art galleries and all various sports (tennis, fall horseback riding, yoga...).

This is a close-knit neighborhood where the neighbors respect one another. Ideal property for a tranquil family vacation. Area is very quiet from Labor Day to June, and more populated in June, July and August.

Please note from June 15 to Labor Day, rental is by the week only (Saturday to Saturday).

My family spent last week at this perfect house on the beach. We enjoyed paddle boarding and kayaking. The pictures of the house are very accurate. The house was very well kept and Rob was very responsive to our texts. The neighborhood is very nice for strolling around. We highly recommend this property.

We stayed here over Memorial Day weekend to attend our daughter’s graduation at Wesleyan University. While the drive back and forth was about 40 minutes (a bit tedious to do a couple times per day), we loved staying at this beautiful home on the water. It was the perfect escape and made our weekend feel like a vacation. The house matched the pictures, the views our beautiful, and the amenities (towels, bedsheets, kitchen supplies, etc) were perfect. We wished we had discovered this home before our daughter graduated so that we could have stayed here on all our past trips when we visited her. Now that she has graduated, I’m not sure when we will come back but if we do, we know where we will stay again! This place was perfect for our family of four!

This property is truly special. Tucked back in a very quiet and private neighborhood, and right on the ocean with a private beach. The property is well taken care of, very dog friendly, tastefully decorated, modern yet charming, and spotlessly clean. We are quite picky and no matter where we looked, everything was perfectly clean and well kept, truly impressive for a dog friendly property. We would definitely stay here again without hesitation.

The beach house felt welcoming the moment we walked in the door, and it was tidy and very clean. The views were SPECTACULAR, especially from both the master bedroom and that gem of a sunroom. It was a lovely weekend. Kudos to Rob for offering such a wonderful place!!

Everything is well appointed in this Oceanside destination. The porch, the back yard and the beach access are very special. The house is well stocked with all you need and the special gift of fresh flowers was a great welcoming touch. Rob was in touch from the bookings past our departure to check on our stay. We totally recommend this property.

We just returned from a wonderful weekend at this property. The house is super clean. I assumed "cozy" translated to cramped. I was wrong. It is very roomy and full of New England charm. The house is beautifully furnished with obvious attention to detail. All appliances appear to be new. The views are unbeatable. Rob was very receptive to my requests/questions. The fenced yard was great for the dogs. None of us wanted to leave.

Rob was a wonderful host from beginning to end. The home was beautiful and just as pictured. Great location…..central to great restaurants and things to do. There is nothing quite like the many moods of Mother Nature while on the water and she didn’t disappoint on this vacation. From beautiful sunrise/sunsets to an amazing storm, picture perfect! My five year old granddaughter’s first impression was simply ‘Wow!’ As she actually discarded her IPad, later declaring this was her best day ever after she ‘played’, gathering shells and building miniature villages on the beach. Truly magical property on pristine Connecticut shore. Clean and very comfortable. Interior invites you to stay while presenting magnificent vistas that call you to explore - (my daughter later went kayaking from a nearby location). Incredible master bedroom, more like a nest in the sky or private stellar observatory. Most importantly our host Rob made us feel like valued guests - he was amazing. My son and daughter say this was their best location/vacation ever. I agree. Would return in an instant.

The house is absolutely amazing, with a pristine, tastefully decorated interior and views of the Sound that can't be beat! There are wonderful restaurants and shopping nearby along with some beautiful parks where you can fish, hike and picnic. The owner Rob was very helpful and easy to work with. We are looking forward to returning soon!

We had a great stay! Robert was responsive and very easy to communicate with. Everything inside the house and outside on the property is absolutely beautiful and extremely clean. There is access right out the back door to the sound. We had some rain so we did some outlet shopping and had nice dinners out. Perfect weekend getaway.

My husband and I and our little senior dog enjoyed every minute of our stay at this lovely beach home. Spotlessly clean with a fully equipped kitchen. High threadcount sheets and comfortable mattress in the master bedroom with a stunning view of the ocean. Amazing claw foot soaking tub with think fluffy towels to dry off. Huge smart tv with several movie channels. Our host was very attentive and available if we needed anything at all. Do not hesitate to stay in this lovely home. Very quiet, serene area in a great neighborhood. We hope to revisit soon!

My wife, myself, and our three year-old stayed here for about a week recently. It was great. The home was well kept with plenty of room. Easy access to various different little towns for side trips and barely ten minutes to get fresh donuts or lobster roll. Loved having beach access from the house and Rob was a fantastic host. It was the perfect spot to really relax and enjoy some time away.

Beautiful President’s Day weekend stay with our dogs. The house has everything you could need and was immaculate. Unbeatable views of the water, especially from the master bedroom. We enjoyed reading on the back porch, sitting by the fireplace, and spent hours on the beach playing. Great restaurants nearby, especially Cafe Allegra in Madison, Chow in Clinton, and the Hangry Goose for brunch in Old Lyme. 30 minutes from Mystic. Stopped by the outlets, which are 10 minutes away. So much to do in every direction. The host was so attentive and responsive. We will be back.

This place is simply gorgeous. The view from the master suite cannot be beat overlooking the sound. Location right on the beach provides fantastic views and was lovely for a stroll. We absolutely want to come back during warmer months! Beds were comfortable. High end furnishings and linens. It looks like a lot has recently been redone as the bathrooms are modern and beautiful. Especially the bathtub! We were very comfortable with 4 adults and a baby. Location very close to many quaint and cute towns with restaurants and grocery stores. Communication with Rob was very easy and extremely pleasant. Grateful to have found this amazing home to spend our last minute New Year’s Eve!! Thank you!!

We had a great stay at this perfectly located home on the CT shore. Each morning we were able to enjoy beautiful sunrises over the Long Island Sound. The house was super clean and comfortable with everything that we needed, and ideal for our family over the winter holidays. Would definitely stay again.
