We've been at this for many years and know how to help travelers make the best of their visit - be it for pleasure or work. Basil and I are full time professional vacation rental managers - you are staying in an intentional holiday home. You won't find anyone's clothes in the drawers but you will find lots of things provided with travelers in mind (some of which are secrets we choose not to share here since that's what makes us special :-)
We'll setup a chat group for your stay - this is the best way to communicate with our team.
When Basil and I are in Athens we do have our own studio in the building - it's on the terrace level (we have our own entrance but you may see us moving across the terrace) - the 2nd level of the property, so you may see us around (and we're always happy to chat & answer any questions in person if you'd like to meet us!)
Wondering what our Athens neighborhood is like & if you can walk to the Acropolis? Use the metro? Tram? Trolley?
Where will you eat? Shop? Find groceries?

The location is great - not far from historical center and surrounded by restaurants and shops. Carole and Basil were very welcoming and helpful. Highly recommend.

From start to finish the communication with Carole, Bazil, and Dania was outstanding. Their knowledge of the area and the things to do are fantastic. The apartment is top-notch! I would give this whole experience 10 stars if I could. They helped us navigate the city, found us great transport, and arranged tours. I sure hope to return someday. Thanks for all your care!

This apartment is a must if you are staying in Athens. Carol was a great communicator before we arrived, very patient as I tried to figure out what we wanted to do in terms of day trips and taxi service. Dani met us at the apartment for an easy check in. She was lovely and communicated to us quickly whenever we had a question. Lovely welcome basket with thoughtful Greek goodies. Beds were extremely comfortable, nice sheets and towels even beach towels and robes. There were 11 of us in our group and there was plenty of room. Wonderful view over to the Acropolis from the roof top patio. It was great to be able to lounge up there after a day of walking in the city. The location is great, close enough to walk to the main sights and lots of restaurants in the area. They arranged transport back to the airport and allowed us to leave our luggage there so we could enjoy our last day. We would definitely stay there again and couldn't recommend it more highly. A true 5 star stay.

The apartment was very comfortable and well stocked, perfect for gathering our large family together. The recommendations from Carole & team for transportation and guided tours was wonderful. The team was friendly & responsive throughout our visit. Great views with lots of shops nearby! Highly recommend.

Excellent experience renting this property. Owner/manager Carole sets up sightseeing options and airport transport with her reliable team if you need it. We took advantage of these options, and had a great experience with George upon pickup, sweet and efficient Danai at check-in, and a tour and departing ride with cool and knowledgeable Nick. Nick's tour offered a lot of history and insights, and assurance that things would go as planned/expected. This entire team offers classy and competent people to assist with your visit as much as you need. While most American visitors will find bathrooms small (true for most of Europe), the other living spaces and outdoor patios of this property are large and very useful. The kitchen is well-stocked with all things you might need, and there are a lot of food and shopping options just downstairs and within one block. The main city square and access to tourism buses and markets is only a 5-10 Euro taxi ride away.

Very roomy, beautiful penthouse. We loved it, ate at a wonderful restaurant that Carole and Basil recommended. Wonderful hosts, so helpful. Tour with Dimitris was awesome! Thanks for a super family vacation.

NOTHING bad to say. The location was great - a short 15 minute walk to the Olympic Stadium and a little further to the Acropolis. If that’s too much, cabs are abundant just outside the front door…. As is groceries, bakeries, restaurants, (and oddly a LOT of barbers). The property itself is top notch. Amenities all great. Beds great. A/C BEYOND great (this is a pet peeve for me). Finally, our hosts couldn’t be more wonderful. If you stay here, you absolutely MUST take them up on their offers to plan excursions. They are first rate. Thank you thank you thank you. We will recommending this location to our friends.

Couldn't have asked for more!
What an amazing place: million dollar views, plenty of room for a big family (seven of us), extremely well-equipped, perfect location (from the sunset view of the Acropolis to the taxi stand a block up), in a part of the city that has everything but isn't inundated with tourists, and with extremely friendly and responsive hosts, who would reply to WhatsApp messages for advice and assistance almost instantaneously. Highly recommended!

Wonderful apartments in Athens!
Not only are the apartments perfectly up to date, with all amenities, the rooftop area is amazing, bedrooms and kitchen is excellent. What really makes the trip is the wonderful attention from Real Greece, Carole and Basil. They helped us with anything and everything from restaurants to tours, to any question about where to go. I give this more than 5 stars!

Phenomenal apartment in the heart of Athens
14 of us had a great time staying at this apartment in the heart of Athens. The hosts happen to stay in their other place next door, so they were super helpful. The place is on the 6th floor and is a split level, so some of the bedrooms are on the 7th. There is a rooftop, private deck on the 7th, and a balcony on 6. The rooftop deck has direct line of sight to the Acropolis and is absolutely beautiful in the evening. The bathrooms are spotless and the kitchen is great. Every room has a great A/C unit and you will be very comfortable. There is a super small elevator that works great that will take you and your luggage up and down. The whole place works with key codes (keyless entry), so you don't need to worry about misplacing the keys. The neighborhood is safe, so if you are coming back late from an activity, you don't need to worry. There is NO parking anywhere close, so make sure you are transiting by taxi or Uber or public transit. There is no metro nearby, but the bus system is close and pretty easy to learn (if you have google maps) and Uber is pretty cheap. We went all the way to the port for 15 euros... and everything in town is 7-10 it seems. Many tourist hotels and apartments are in the Plaka or Monasteriki, which this is not. But if you stay over there, be prepared to not be able to sleep until 2am with the noise. Wholeheartedly recommend this place if its the right size for your group!

Absolutely Perfect Stay
My son is studying abroad in Rome and Athens and I planned on visiting him for 15 days. We spent the first part of our trip in Italy. I was up late working on the Athens part of the trip and came across this property and it seemed perfect. I emailed to check on availability and Carole e-mailed back almost immediately. I loved the that she was able to arrange transportation to and from the airport and suggested and arranged tours. We loved the food tour and cooking class with Nadea, Nick made sure my son and his friend got to school safely and the last minute tours he suggested to me were great, and the time spent with Maria at the Acropolis on my last day was the perfect end to my stay. I will definitely be back. The place was beautiful-better than I ever imagined it. This was my first experience with Vrbo (I have always stayed in hotels) and it was perfect.

Carole, we loved your beautiful apartment and the neighborhood was fantastic close to shopping and plenty of restaurants. The apartment was very modern, spacious, clean and it had plenty of room for our party of nine. It had everything we needed for us to enjoy some great family time and views of the Acropolis.
We really appreciated all the help you gave us in setting up our private tours, transportation and for your recommendation to eat at Alexandrino.
We were also extremely happy with your professionalism, expertise, and for being so responsive to all of our questions and requests.
Thank you very much!

When 5 stars isn't enough
Carole and her team earned 10 stars from our well-satisfied group of 6 travelers. They earned an additional five stars for being excellent travel guides. The apartment was clean, roomy, and well-furnished, with fabulous views of the Acropolis (especially lit up at night) from the outdoor penthouse balcony. Transportation was handled seamlessly; Tony picked us up at the airport, took us on an excursion to the Temple of Poseidon at Cape Sounion to see the spectacular sunset, and delivered us to the port when it was time to leave. Nadea welcomed us at the apartment, and took us on an extensive food tour of the Central Market area, introducing us to Greek foods and shops we would never have found on our own. They made great recommendations for restaurants and sites to visit (including when to visit and how to get there). Attention to detail – Business cards with house address and map on back for taxi rides home, laminated sheets with directions for sampling ouzo (with two bottles provided in the fridge), directions for using the gourmet coffee maker, restaurant tips, etc. They even left snacks, coffee and a bottle of delicious red wine as welcome gifts for our arrival. I highly recommend staying here, both for the facilities and the “extras” Carlole and her team provide.

Best trip ever!
My husband and I are avid travelers and this trip to Greece was amazing! You can't beat the scenery and the food BUT the best part of our trip was meeting Carol. Carol owns and rents the condo we stayed in and she is the best travel planner I have ever worked with. From arranging picking us up at the airport, suggesting monuments to visit, to recommending restaurants and setting up a foodie tour and getting us back to the airport - everything was flawless and made our trip the best it could be. Our Acropolis View condo was fabulous. Perfectly clean, comfortable beds, great showers, you can drink the water out of the faucet, the living area was spacious, everything was well appointed. The best part is the beautiful view of the Acropolis from the rooftop porch/deck area. We had dinner there several times and watched the sun set and the Acropolis light up. The location is perfect, walking distance to almost everything and anything you would want to eat or see. I highly recommend this rental property but mostly, if you are going to Greece, get a hold of Carol. :)

I have been to Athens over 16 times in my life, and these are the best accommodations I have ever stayed in! They are spacious and beautiful with views of the city and Acropolis, wrap around glass windows and balconies, great rooftop terrace, air conditioning, Internet, cable TV, free phone to call home to America and family in Europe. Awesome beds! Outstanding kitchen! Lidl grocery store across the street. Spotless and well stocked. Next time I will plan my excursions and day trips sooner so that I get to book the amazing Nick and Nadia!Carole and Basil were a wealth of information on getting around Athens and arranging my itinerary to Lesvos. Can't wait to return!

We arrived earlier than we had indicated, but Nadia was able to accommodate us quickly and efficiently. The penthouse is located in a very busy part of Athens, but it is easy to find and reasobly easy to get to if you are driving. The penthouse is large, clean with large terraces on two floors. The top floor terrace is well designed with comfortable seating and nice potted flowers. The views of the Acropolis and lycavetos hill as well as major parts of Athens are beautiful, especially in the evening hours. The bedrooms are large and comfortable and the kitchen is well equipped for a large family's needs. There is plenty to do in the immediate area including nice restaurants and shopping. The location is also very close to most attractions including museums, the parliament and many others. The only negative was finding parking, but we were able to solve the problem by returning the rented car and taking cabs or walking. We used Nick's service to go to the airport and we found him helpful and very charming.Carole has done a great job organizing everything well for her guests. We found dealing with Carole easy, efficient and very professional. We would recommend the AlphaPlus Acropolis penthouse to any family visiting Athens.

Great property, wonderful management team!
The information provided to us prior to arriving was superb. Carole's recommendations for tours and local restaurants were spot on. The tours arranged through Carole were excellent. When the weather was too hot for us to go on the walking tour, Carole provided a recommendation for an alternative tour and made all the arrangements last minute. Our tour guides spoke excellent English and were extremely informative. We had an issue with lost luggage and Nadia made herself available to meet the Delta Rep so we didn't have to spend a vacation day waiting for the missing luggage. Nadia (the local property Manager) was a ROCK STAR! She brought us a fan late at night due to the high temperatures as well as had the AC checked out / repaired on a Sunday. The overall attention to detail and helpfulness was excellent. We had 4 couples and couldn't have asked for nicer accommodations.

Clean, roomy & comfortable
The beds were nice, the furnishings comfortable, and someone was always available to answer any questions we had. The rooftop view and patio furnishings meant we could top the evenings off at home after a day of touring, hiking, and general bumming around this beautiful city.

Perfect location!
Our stay was for ten days in Athens. We thought maybe we had made a mistake on the length, but as it turned out there is so much to do and see that we could have stayed longer. Our host, Carole, arranged all of our tours ahead of time with Nick our driver and Nadia and Maria our tour guides. They were all fantastic. The accommodations were also fantastic. Every morning we were able to go right downstairs to get great Greek coffee and the bakery was just a block away. There were also many choices for food within walking distance or a short cab ride away. Our sons were able to also walk to several museums from the condo when we didn't have a tour arranged for the day. We would highly recommend this location for anyone visiting Athens. Thank you Carole, Nick, Nadia and Maria.

Excellent location and amazing views.
Our family of 5 (children 14, 12 and 9) had a wonderful stay in Athens. The location was great and the views from the rooftop were amazing. We enjoyed watching the sunset over the Acropolis. The kitchen was perfect for morning breakfast and snacks. In addition, having 3 bedrooms allowed our 14 year old daughter her own space.
Carole assisted with the coordination of all our tours which were great. We did a food tour as well as half day Athen tour and a trip to out of town to visit some historical sights.
We we highly recommend this property for your stay in Athens.

Beautiful apartment and a wonderful visit!
It's a beautiful place. We rented two of the units, the two-bedroom, downstairs, and the single bedroom upstairs. There's a spiral staircase that connects them, but they can also be rented separately. The lower two-bedroom unit has a slim (6 feet wide?) wrap-around terrace with nice view, but less space to sit. The lower unit is where the kitchen and living room are located. Upstairs, there is a large, gorgeous patio. However, you have to go up the spiral staircase and through the upstairs bedroom to get to the patio, so if the upstairs bedroom occupants are sleeping, that is an issue. Everything is very clean, nice and well-provisioned. We had what we needed for limited cooking (breakfasts). The beds are comfortable, but not top-of-the-line. We never could figure out the washer and drier (directions would be nice). Also, we had no directions on what to do with our trash, so it just sat around in a bag in the living room. The elevator is a small affair (only 2 people), and it is a bit tricky to operate, but once we got used to it, it was one of the charming touches of the place. Several of our group ended up walking up and down the six flights of stairs each time to avoid elevator delays. We felt like Niko was overpriced for trips around town and less than timely, so we hired a private car or took cabs. Arriving, you absolutely must use him because he shows you the operation of the elevator and the basics of the apartment, all of which would have been baffling without his instruction. We hired a private driver back to the airport. All-in-all, it was a verygood experience, which could be improved with a few additional instructional details provided and a more reasonably-priced driver.

Clean & welcoming but the sleeping arrangements were very tight.
Overall we enjoyed our stay and it was nice to have a washer/dryer available. Both the owner and our greeter were very friendly and nice to work with. The sleeping arrangements were very tight and we were disappointed that the advertised beautiful patio overlooking Athens was connected to the bedroom on the second floor. Our group did not get to use it as much as we would have liked because of the narrow stairs to get to the second floor and also because family members were sleeping in that bedroom. Also, with 11 of us, the hot water ran out fast and the additional water heater was not able to keep up with the demand. Our last night and morning there was no hot water. Overall, we felt that the place was a bit overpriced.

Lovely Home
We really appreciated this clean, modern and well-equipped apartment. It was spacious, with a lower balcony and upper terrace. The owner was very accommodating with our arrival and departure times, as well as arranging airport transfers. The apartment is located on a main road that has plenty of amenities nearby, and the traffic noise was not a problem due to insulated glass doors and windows. Please note that since the apartment is facing west, the balcony and terrace can get quite warm in the summer afternoons. Our only suggestion to the owner is that she post washing machine instructions in English, as we could not figure out how to use it due to the Greek labels.

Perfect location opposite shops
The appartment has a scenic roofterrace.
Beds are very comfortable for all ages.
I have been there with friends and we loved the stay.

Amazing Athens Apartment
Our group was made up of three families with kids ranging from 4 to 14 years old. The flat was perfect for our group as each family had their own bedroom and bathroom space. The kitchen made it easy to provide snacks and breakfasts for the kids, especially with the fresh produce we bought at the local farmer's market. Our kids really enjoyed hanging out on the terrace away from parents (we enjoyed that too!) The view from the terrace was inspirational, especially at night to see the Acropolis lit up in all of its glory. Amazing to think that view has been enjoyed for thousands of years!
The apartment is centrally located to bakeries, groceries, and many excellent dining establishments nearby. We enjoyed trying the different places each night and even had a good laugh over hiking to one and finding it closed. The next one on the list was delicious and we enjoyed a good stroll to work up our appetites.
Besides the apartment the services offered by Carole will make this the easiest vacation you have ever planned! Her drivers picked us up and delivered us to the apartment even with crazy arrival times like 11:30 pm and 4:00 am. Nadia gave us really fun tours of the city and we would highly recommend her for tours with kids in tow. Her experience as a nanny makes her extremely patient as some of our littlest members grew weary of history and rallied their spirits with a well timed ice cream break. I would highly recommend the Foodie Tour as a great way to explore the markets and try many local flavors. Nadia was brilliant at describing what we were about to experience and shared all of her favorite places with us. Don't miss this one!
