About this cabin rental
We have taken a lot of pride in building this log cabin. Scotty has custom build the bedroom furniture as well as other pieces in the house! The cabin lies on a beautiful mountain steam that is full of native rainbow trout. So grab your fishing pole and come on for a great vacation full of fun and excitement. For Multiple Families traveling together we also have a 2bed/2bath listing #1924500 on VRBO, that is up on the hill from Rushing Creek Cabin.
It's all about location and this location is Great!! We are centrally located to Franklin, Cherokee, Asheville and Gatlinburg TN. Franklin is a great place if antiquing is your desire, while Cherokee is a gamblers paradise were Harrah's Casino is located. The native outdoor theatre drama, 'Unto these Hills' is also portrayed there! The Biltmore House is located in Asheville along with lots of unique shops you can visit!
If Fishing is your desire, the Upper Nantahala River, which is considered Trophy Waters is just 5 minutes away from the cabin. It is one of the two Rivers in NC to be in the top 100 Trout Streams Nationally, by Trout Unlimited.
The Great Smoky Mountains National Park leads you right into Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge, where you can visit Dollywood, Splash County or my favorite the Dixie Stampede. Ripley's Aquarium is located is Gatlinburg if you would like to see some really big fish!!
The famous Nantahala River is just minutes from the cabin, rafting is a great way to spend the day with your family. Lake Nanthala is a wonderful place to go for some boating or skiing, the Marina offers boat rental packages. Lakes End Grille is located at the marina and is famous for their burgers and fries. If hiking interest you, the Bartram Trail or the Appalachian Trail is nearby, motorcyclist will enjoy riding the Tail of the Dragon and Thunder Road if they dare! "The Tail of the Dragon" has 318 curves in the 11 miles connecting NC to TN. It is considered to be "America's number one motorcycle and sports car Road." There is always something to do, so pack up the family and come on by!!!

The cabin is clean, cozy, well-equipped, and offers a magical experience by the rushing creek and mountain views. Highly recommended for a relaxing vacation with attentive owners.

This is the 2nd time we have used this beautiful cabin for our family vacation! We loved it so much last year, the family agreed to go again this year! We love the location, and plenty of space for everyone! The stream in the front yard is my favorite spot to enjoy my morning coffee. I also like that you don't need a 4-wheel truck to get to the property. **Just so you know...it is a dry county and you will need to plan ahead if you would like any beer or cocktails. Thanks again, The Jordan family.

Great property, very beautiful, and very secluded. Closest place for grocery or supplies is 30 mins. No cell service in the area so plan accordingly when traveling to go on an adventure. There is plenty to do within a 15-45 min drive, including stocked river trout fishing (like shooting fish in a barrel), whitewater rafting, and hiking. There is a creek right on the front of the property but very small trout so it’s not the greatest for fishing at least not this time of year in mid August. There is a great fire pit area with plenty of seating for cooking g on an open fire, roasting marshmallows, and late night conversations.

We had a wonderful time staying at this home. We came with our kids and cat. Grandma and grandpa came to visit us for a couple days while we were there. We went to Bryson city a few times and did the deep creek tubing. I wish there was a journal at the house so that everyone who stays can jot down memories and recommendations.

Great location. We were looking for a spot off the beaten path, but still in an accessible location. This place was perfect.

This property was perfect for a long weekend getaway in the mountains, right next to the beautiful hidden gem, Lake Nantahala. We spent hours fishing and hanging by the creek right next to the cabin. When not at the cabin, we drove 5 minutes down the road to Lake’s End to be on the lake. We also saw the fireworks show on the lake which is a sight to see on the 4th of July!
Barbara was a great host, everything was simple and easy as far as check in and check out. Communication was not really needed, but when it was, she was responsive. Would recommend this property!

This cabin was perfect for my family of 4. The creek was relaxing and provided a lot of entertainment for my son, from tubing to fishing. It is also conveniently located to white water rafting, with Fast Rivers and Andrews Valley Rail Cart Tours. We even spent a day driving to Piegon Forge. This will definitely go down as one of our most memorable vacations. Thanks for sharing your place with us.

We have stayed in the Smokey's before and this was an all new experience. Full disclosure, if you haven't visited before, know the road to the cabin is long and windy and was a little scary for us when we drove in as we did not know what to expect. The locals speed up the mountain like nothing but for myself and my fam from FLAT Florida who rented the giant Suburban, it was quite an experience. Just go slow and watch the road, not the beautiful waterfalls and scenery. lol The drive out was a breeze, knowing what to expect.
The driveway is manageable and the place is exactly as the photos portray. Its lovely. The rushing creek, the mountain views, the chilly air... it was magical.
The cabin had pretty much everything we needed. I have stayed in many VRBOs and this was more well-stocked than most. My biggest complaint was the icemaker didn't work but we needed to go to town to get groceries anyway and its only about a 25 minute drive to Ingles which has everything we needed.
We had planned to go out and explore the area but my boys didn't want to leave the cabin which was fine with me! Hot tub was perfect. Cell service was spotty outside of the cabin obviously but inside we were able to stream movies at night while we enjoyed steaks and chicken on the grill.
We contacted the owner for a few things and they were quick to reply and Scotty even came out to bring something we asked for.
I highly recommend this cabin to anyone visiting the area and we would love to return!

We enjoyed our stay to the Rushing Creek Cabin!! Our family of 6 and dog had a blast. Zero complaints! The cabin was beautiful the creek out front was our fav. There’s a hot tub, corn hole and fishing. The master shower was AWESOME! It’s like a sauna/shower. There wasn’t any fire wood so we bought some and used what was on the property. The cabin is in a small town (Topton) up in the mountains. I would try arriving before dark if possible. We almost passed the road to the cabin a few times. Andrews is a small town about 30 mins (hour round trip) from the cabin closest town for food and groceries. I would also recommend getting all of your groceries in town because it’s a hike back. Ingles grocery store and DG market was our place to stock up!! They have all the pots and pans you need so get your groceries and spices. There are plenty of places to hike, fish, raft or swim in the area or right out front lol. The views are also amazing around town. There was a comment about the road in front of the cabin but honestly there so little traffic it didn’t bother us. Most people waved and kept it moving. I could go on and on about this place. We will definitely be back! Thank you!

We always rent in the NC mountains for a family thanksgiving. This house was spacious for families to gather. We enjoyed the open concept and the lovely gas fireplace made for cozy evenings. The rush of the river out front was great to hear when on the large covered porch. We especially liked the hot tub that was ready upon arrival. Love that. We also had successful fly fishing on the nearby beautiful Nantahala River.
One issue we had was none of us could get the primary bedroom shower to be warm enough to take a comfortable shower no matter how we turned the shower knobs. We all had to shower upstairs where the water temperature there was great. If there is a trick to it instructions would be helpful for the primary shower.
The house was beautifully decorated for the holidays. So inviting. We would stay here again.

We loved the cabin and all it had to offer. The rain prevented us from being able to use everything (i.e. the fire pit), but if we are ever in the area again we will definitely use again.

This was a perfect cabin for our family! The property was amazing! It has a running creek in the front yard that we could dip our toes in and just relax listening to the water pass by. It was easy to get to without the need of 4-wheel drive. Our adult children loved the hiking that was near by and we all enjoyed the white water rafting! We had a unanimous vote to come back to this cabin next year! Thank you Scotty & Barbara for sharing this beautiful property!!
