About this apartment rental

All you need for that family get away! Our condo sits right beside the water allowing you to sit on the deck while the kids fish and feed the ducks right in front of you. (This unit allows you to access the walkway from the deck which takes you to the pool, docks, lake side, lake swimm area. Most units exit to the palking lot and then you have to walk down steps to get to the Lake, docks, walkway). You came to be at the lake, you might as well sit right beside it.
The 2 br 2 ba unit is located in Southwood Shores, close to Four Seasons off Horseshoe Bend at the 12-mile marker.
The condo is tastefully decorated and features a LCD TV with HD cable/DVD in living room. The master bedroom includes HD cable TV/DVD along with your personal entrance to the deck. Guest bedroom has Cable TV/DVD and Xbox (with games) for the kids. The condo is equiped with wireless internet and there is also internet available for your use at the club house, while watching the kids swim in the indoor pool or hot tub.
During your stay, enjoy some selections from our personal movie collection that will entertain both the kids and adults alike. There are also books and board games for family bonding time during your stay. The bedrooms and deck have ceiling fans and the kitchen comes fully equipped with everything you will need for you vacation. The condo has granite counter tops in the kitchen and bathrooms. There are also a washer and dryer in the condo if you need to do laundry during your stay. Make sure you set aside some time to relax on your private deck that overlooks the lake.

The amenities in this complex are unmatched. Most complexes only have an outdoor pool. The amenities at Southwood Shores includes: outdoor pool, indoor pool, hot tub, lake swim area w/swim dock, tennis/pickleball, basketball, shuffle board, kids playground, horseshoe pit, and fish cleaning station.
There is a boat ramp on site and boat slips are available to rent through Southwood Shores.
*Remember when comparing different condos that many complexes are very large, with a long walk or have to drive to the pool. We are only 3 buildings from the pool and ours is one of the few units, this close to the pool, that you can walk right off the deck to the walkway that leads to the pool and the docks.
* There are steps to our unit but this is what puts you right down beside the lake. Once you are in the condo all you have to do is step right off your deck to acess the lake, docks and walkway that leads to the pool and to the lake swim area.

We had a few hiccups but the owner took care of it in a timely manner. I would say the smaller bedroom is a little too personal with the family pictures everywhere. But overall it is a beautiful place and i would definitely be staying again!

My wife and I go to LOTO 4-5 times a year and we always stay in condos. Most of the condos we rent show a pride in ownership. This one didn’t. We always check the condo out when we arrive to make sure there isn’t anything that needs to be notated. I’m not sure when the condo was cleaned last but the floor was filthy and had urine spots around some of the furniture. So we started cleaning. The more we cleaned the more we realized this condo hadn’t been cleaned. I had already messaged the owner about an issue with the boat slip and they hadn’t responded so we tried to stay. It just kept getting worse. There were so many flies in the condo it took a day and half to get rid of them all. Add the fact that one toilet was clogged and the other just didn’t flush and both bedrooms had very dated mattresses…we are just disappointed in this property. I hate leaving bad reviews as I understand this is a rental property but this was so bad we left on the second day of our five day vacation. Location was wonderful, and initial communication with the owner was great but we won’t be staying here again.

We have a family of 6 with two 12 year olds and two toddlers. We wish we would have had more towels and sheets. The lower level was great for getting to sidewalk for going to the pool or to lake swim area. Would highly recommend this property for groups of 4.

The overwhelming thing that should be pointed out is there are 30 steps. Two females had a difficult time navigating with luggage and groceries. If you’re young and healthy, great. The toilets had black mold and the screen door is completely broken. The wrong gate code was given to us so that took some time. The good: Location is great, complex seemed safe, it’s literally RIGHT on the dock/water and is decorated really cute.

Very nice property. We have stayed at another rental in this condo facility and it was very comparable which is why we selected this property as the other was booked. The area is great and secure with nearly everything a person could ask for of a facility. Groceries and dining are about 10-15 minutes away. No complaints but the grill only would light on one of the two burners which was fine for the two of us but might be an issue for a larger group.

To start on a positive note, the location was great and had decent amenities, unfortunately the rental had dated tvs and no cable channels that we could find. There were dvds but none for kids. The Xbox was dated as well and only two games worked. Again this wouldn’t have been the biggest inconvenience if they had some kid friendly options. The rental “seemed” clean but walking around barefoot proved us wrong. The bottom of the kids feet would turn black from the floor. There was animal hair (maybe human I don’t know) along the sliding glass door ways and under the tables in the living room. There was also used items in the drawer left form previous guests in the master bath. The most frustrating part was that we had an issue at the pool and I called the owners and didn’t receive a call back at all. I was texted the next evening which was very disappointing.

We arrived at condo, it hasn't been cleaned. Took an hour to reach owner. I asked for a refund. Took hours to find a hotel as a convention was in town. Stayed in a terrible hotel. Very disappointed.

This spot was perfect for a get away during my kids spring break. Close enough to Osage Beach but not all the traffic. Very clean and updated everything. Felt more spacious than the web site showed. Would highly recommend for a couple or small family get away. Worth the price.

The property was beautiful, right next to the water. The location wasn’t far from activities and a short 30 min ride to Ha Ha Tonka State park. My husband and I did have our two dogs with us for this trip. There is a small area for animals to go to, but it is up a hill. Overall, I would stay here again because it is quiet and relaxing…just maybe not with my crazy pups. 😁
