Nothing special but did the job. Appears to be a full time rental. Good location, clean and has everything you need to be happy. It wasn’t our first choice but we left our vacation very pleased with the cabin.

Everything we needed at this beautiful cabin for a relaxing stay

My mother is disabled. They did not help with anything! They would not even try to have early check in (so it was getting dark and cold when we arrived) or later check out (even though no one was even set to come after us). I go to vacation rentals a lot and this is the worst. So disappointed. House was fine but an extremely stressful experience checking in and out.

Property was well equipped - kitchen & bathrooms. However TV did not work during our 3day stay. Contacted to resolve daily but only received apologies. Also had a bat attack in the evening that disappeared into a hole at the top of the kitchen cabinet.

Lovely cabin Casa Taquitz
We loved everything except no firewood for fireplace and tv with no channels. I think they should disclose these things before going.

Cute cabin
We loved our stay, our children had lots of fun. The cabin was clean when we arrived with all the necessities required. We just recommend having someone do maintenance on the AC/Heat. The air flow is not working properly. The living room was warm but bedrooms were cold. Also the toilet seat in the master bath needs to be changed, it has some rips on the cushion. Overall we would stay again.

This is a clean, very new hotel.
The hotel's bed linen, bathroom, kitchen... unexpectedly clean, tidy and convenient. I like it very much. The downside is that there is no washing machine. Additional laundry facilities are recommended. Personal score 9 points.

Lovely stay in the mountain
Our stay at Casa Tahquitz was a great experience as first timers. The place was peaceful and refreshing. It was worth driving up the mountain and the neighboring area. The house was clean and cosy; just a bit smaller than on picture. Barbecue on the porch with the kids was awesome. We all loved it and will certainly do it again.

False claims of A/C on
Having known there was no air conditioning, we wouldn’t have booked. The overview description on VRBO indicates there is air conditioning, THERE IS NOT! Weekend was 90+ temps so would have been nice. Also, no hair dryer as listed. Other than that mixup, we enjoyed our time.

Great Comfy Place
Our stay was great but it did have some flaws. I will start with the bad first and end with the good. Drive way is not great for an accessible vehicle or any low vehicle as the bump to get in does scratch the bottom. When we first got there, the cabin was really warm and we turned on the fan but it didn't cool it at all. We later found out that the filter for the fan was clogged and dirty and no air flow was going through. Once we removed it, the fan worked great. The good is that the cabin is beautiful and clean. Close to the town, quiet, relaxing, deck was awesome with great shade, doorways were big enough to fit the wheelchair. Bedrooms were amazing and beds were comfortable except for the 1st night when it was hot. Otherwise, I highly recommend it. Great time, great location and great place.

Awesome experience
The house is everything it was advertised to be. The yard was a dream for my family, especially my little boys who love the outdoors. The deck outside was awesome! We will def. be coming back to this house.

Not clean!
The sheets were not washed. There was pollen, hairs, and a yellow stain. Slept in jackets on top of the bedding with towels as blankets the first night. The next day discovered that the toaster oven had not been cleaned. It was oily and there were crumbs. Makes us think that the place was not cleaned at all. Who doesn't wash sheets and make beds up properly? It's one of the most basic and primary things to have cleaned and ready between guests. Have asked for a refund, was told that we would get a response from management but nothing yet. Also was told that someone would come by the next morning between 11 and 12 and no one came until 3.

A fine stay, a bit sparse
This house is nicely located in Fern Valley and near town, a block from the creek. The house itself is clean; the Vacasa houses we've stayed in have been very clean. The bed is comfortable, which is huge, and the kitchen and bathrooms are updated (the showerheads are quite low flow, though). There are NOT 2 Queen beds, however. They are Doubles. The house is pretty sparse; the living room couch is small and needs updating, as does the carpet. The kitchen table is fine but the chairs need cushions. There is central heating but no access to a fireplace. So, it's a fine house but does not give you a cozy mountain experience, and the living area lacks comfort. There was a problem with the oven needing cleaning and I asked for a toaster oven, and Robbie the rockstar handyman brought a brand new one right over! The house has a bit of a rugged hill in front and it wasn't spelled out in the instructions that the parking is up near the street.

Very good
We were a family of 4, 2 adults and 2 kids (11 and 8). We liked the house, and the kids too.
The house is very clean, in every rooms.
The kitchen has everything: oil, sugar, salt and pepper of course, coffee filter, etc...
Both bathrooms have travel size shampoo-conditionner-soap.
The location is good, a 5 min drive from downtown Idyllwild.
The nights were very peaceful and quiet.
We recommand it.

Could be cleaner.
Need a new picnic table. There were dead flies in the windowsills. There were goldfish crackers under couch and coffee table. Also spiders in the tub. The grill needs a deep cleaning. But is a peaceful and serene and close to town.

Simply perfect
We loved staying at this cabin. It’s close to everything - 15 minutes to walk into the village center, just a quick drive up the hill to Humber trailhead. And the cabin couldn’t be cuter. Spic and span all the way around. Plenty of room in the driveway, a nice deck with an umbrella and gas grill, newly renovated kitchen and bathrooms.

Great Family Vacation Cabin
Perfect size for our family of four. The cabin was clean and comfortable and close to everything. Check-in instructions were clear. Had plenty of pots and pans to make breakfast and dinners.
Bonus: my daughter found two apple trees in the backyard with plenty of ripe apples. We’ll be back.

Clean, modern interior near trailhead
This property has a great layout with three bedrooms, two baths. The interior appears to be brand new. It's extremely clean and airy. Can't beat it's close location to Humber Park and Devil's Slide trailhead. Also super close to town.

If only
If only the cabin next door didn't have such loud rambunctious neighbors, this would have been perfect.
Unfortunately I was seeking peace and quiet. Only after asking the neighbors to not be so loud, did I enjoy it the most. Just did not like having to do that.
