But don’t worry, we keep the buzz at the doorstep; inside, it’s all about serene, chic retreat vibes, with a sprinkle of old Charleston magic and a generous pour of modern flair and whimsy.
The Space:
Welcome to Casa Zoë's Cabana House, where boho-chic isn't just a style, it's a way of life, framed by the iconic glamour of Slim Aarons art. This jewel is perched in the heartbeat of Charleston, a skip away from the culinary wizardry of James Beard-awarded restaurants, the sweet temptations of Sugar Bakeshop, and the smoky seduction of South Bound, where the open fire kitchen meets a bar so sexy, it could write its own romance novel. Not to mention, you're surrounded by boutique shopping that could easily turn a leisurely stroll into an all-day affair.
Here, every detail is meticulously curated for your delight—luxurious linens that make mornings a dilemma, a kitchen that inspires even the culinary timid to experiment, and an HD TV for those who argue that a good binge-watch can indeed be therapeutic. The private porch and courtyard? Your personal oasis for sipping, laughing, or simply soaking in the Charleston charm.
But it's not just the inside that counts; it's the location that makes Cabana House a standout. Imagine being so close to Charleston's best dining, cafes, and shopping that you'll wish you had more meals in a day and more room in your suitcase. It's a place where leaving feels impossible, not just because of the comfort, but because of the promise of what awaits just outside your door. So, dive into the Cabana House experience, where luxury meets location, and every visit feels like a discovery of something wonderfully new. Just remember, while the memories are yours to keep, the plush towels prefer to stay behind.

Casa Zoe was the absolute best place to stay with a group of girls headed to Charleston for a fun trip! Gorgeous property with a beautiful aesthetic, convenient location to everything you need, and just a few blocks from King Street! Very kind, thoughtful and communicative hosts as well. Already dreaming of going back!

House is beautiful, beds comfortable, most needs met. Could use some more kitchen pans (baking pans). Great location. My family loved it and it was perfect for our graduation celebration.

Our group of friends came down for a quick trip to our favorite town for some Christmas shopping and the amazing food scene. This house was absolutely perfect. The beds were so comfy and we loved having coffee out on the porch in the mornings. The location couldn't have been better-so close to King Street for shopping and restaurants. We did try to new restaurant across the street- Southbound and were blown away by it. Delicious!!!! Thank you Stevenson- this will be our go to spot for all of our trips to Charleston from now on!

The property description online does not say the property driveway is an entry to dumpsters and garbage disposal. There was noise constantly most of the night and early AM with large garbage cans and dumpster activity to the point where you could not sleep. We had a 4 day rental with very little sleep. It is also right across the street from a restaurant so also lots of noise there and people leaving restaurant loudly going to their cars parked in the area behind the house. Again...no sleep. This house is better suited for those who like to party, but not a family with infants and young children who need sleep.
Having said all that, the house itself was very clean.

We’re looking for a rental to enjoy our annual girls trip. This location and place did not disappoint. Everything was amazing. The location is in walking distance to King Street and all other near amenities. Great if you want to enjoy the downtown Charleston scene or relax with friends on the patio.

I stayed here the weekend of my wedding with a group of friends! The location was wonderful-- such a good neighborhood with some fav coffee shops and so close to everything else you would need. The historic Charleston-style home, colors, and decor were such a nice backdrop for showing off Charleston and for photos!
We truly enjoyed our stay here, it was great for what we needed-- however, most of the bedding and towels had dirt and makeup stains and the living room sitting/sleeping decor is different than in the listing photo, and quite dirty.
Thankfully, the host was easy to contact and they sent someone to change all the linens very soon after we called, but it was obvious it hadn't been checked before we arrived. For the price of this listing and the well-reviewed Host, we were disappointed that it wasn't more clean upon arrival.

A group of 5 girlfriends from all over the country met in Charleston for a fun get together. The house was very cute and in a great location. Very close to King Street where there are tons of restaurants. The only negative was that it seems like the garbage is picked up daily and it is picked up very early in the morning and is extremely loud.

We really loved the location and enjoyed the house and our stay. There were a couple of maintenance items we asked the manager about and received a prompt response. We would consider this location again.

House is very clean, beds are comfortable and location is good BUT:
1. Vacant dilapidated house next door and when sitting on porch, that’s your view
2. Since house next door is vacant house, all the trash bins for restaurants across the street are stored behind it. Therefore the employees roll these trash bins out on gravel driveway from 10 pm-1 am. It is VERY VERY LOUD!! Not to mention trash truck picks up around 7 AM so don’t plan on going to bed early if you’re a sensitive sleeper or sleeping in. Also, employees hung out behind vacant house because that’s where they park and talk till 2-3 AM so back bedroom of rental house heard all of this. Meanwhile, street front bedrooms hear cars all night long in addition to trash bin roll out.
3. The 2 street side bedrooms each have their own bathroom, which is perfect! The primary, alcove bed and other bedroom upstairs (3 bedrooms) share the 2nd bathroom upstairs. There’s a full bath downstairs off of dining room that alcove and 3rd bedroom upstairs can use, but you have to go down a spiral staircase and during the night it can be a bit treacherous when tired.
4. No drawers to put any clothes in. Especially for the alcove bed. There’s no closet or dresser so you live out of your suitcase.
I wish I had known these things before renting this house.

Sparrow House worked great for a family gathering of 8. Great location and a comfy home. We spent. Lot of time in the house and the “hardest” thing we had to work with was the dining table, as it was a little tight for the group.

Stayed here with a group of friends for a long weekend, and couldn't have asked for better! Such a beautiful, historic home with character, while also being well-equipped with kitchen supplies and comfortable beds. The landscaping is also beautiful, and a few photos taken here before my wedding turned out amazing.

We had a blast at this house for a twin's 30th birthday. We could walk everywhere (and did!) As close as it was to King St, it was still quiet. Communication with owner was easy and quick. Wish we were still there!

Perfect for a Friends' Getaway
11 of our closest college friends all have had babies in the past year and wanted to enjoy a little reunion in a place we all love which is why we selected Charleston. The house itself is beautiful, charming, spacious, and had enough bathrooms for 11 girls to get ready in a short amount of time (which says a lot!). The location is fantastic and we loved popping in to neighborhood restaurants for breakfast or a quick cocktail. Would definitely recommend and would absolutely stay again!

I Couldn't Love It Anymore!
I am a native Charlestonian but currently living in New York. I brought some close friends to my hometown for my birthday weekend, and we rented this house. Firstly, having two parking spaces in the rear of the home was helpful. We were all amazed at how wonderful it looked when we walked into the house. There is an initial "WOW" factor. Every bedroom had a sink, and the bathrooms were beautiful. The kitchen was fully stocked with most of what we needed for the weekend. When the weekend ended, no one wanted to leave the house! Family members that visited were amazed by the house, and some planned to tell other family members to check it out when they are home to visit. I will definitely keep this listing saved for another trip home. The ONLY thing that my friends mentioned was the WiFi; it is slow. But that was the only thing we disliked. Overall, I would recommend this house wholeheartedly.

Great for friends weekend!
The house was perfect for a larger group of friends! We had a mix of couples and singles and we were able to fit well into the house, without having to use air mattresses or bunk beds! The neighborhood is amazing & full of old Charleston charm, really close to King Street & easy to get wherever you are going. Claire & Steve were really responsive & made sure we had everything we needed. There are a few old house quirks (a shower handle loose in one of the upstairs bathroom, hot water takes a few minutes to heat up, kitchen sink doesn't drain super well) but absolutely nothing that got in the way of a great weekend! There were parking decks nearby for extra cars that didn't fit in the dedicated spaces & the house was well stocked for everything else. Thanks so much Claire & Steve!

5 stars *****
This trip was a long time in the making. It was a 40th and 70th birthday trip for 2 of us that was cancelled by COVID and rescheduled 2 years later. The house was everything it was marketed as. I use VRBO extensively and this property was by far the cleanest I have ever stayed at. The beds were amazing and we enjoyed sitting on the porch and chatting and drinking our coffee in the morning. We enjoyed the area and hope to return someday!

Needed a few things
This was in a perfect location. We were there for 4 nights for a girls trip so there was plenty of room for us. However, we were supposed to have two parking spaces behind the house but when we got there, there was a golf cart parked in one of the spaces. We had two cars so that was a bit of a problem. One of us parked along the fence at the back of a lot behind the house and just prayed the car didn't get towed. We contacted the owner and the property manager to get the golf cart moved but the issue was never was resolved before we checked out the last day. The kitchen needed coffee cups and a baking pan. We made do with the roasting pan and just bought paper coffee cups to use. The only other issue was that one of the girls had to use the pull-out sofa-bed in the living room which was fine except that there were no sheets or blankets available for the bed. Overall though the house was very nice and we enjoyed our trip.

Spacious, comfortable rental near downtown Charleston
We were in Charleston for my daughter’s wedding, having traveled from Europe for the event. We had friends coming from California and other locations and wanted to stay together for the occasion. The Cannon Street VRBO met all our criteria. Spacious, four bathrooms, privacy for everyone when they wanted it and within walking distance to Charleston’s best restaurants. When one of the beds had serious problems, I contacted the management and they dispatched someone to fix it within hours. Strongly recommend this rental and would be pleased to stay there again.

Perfect hosts, perfect house!
Every year my girlfriends and I head to Charleston for the Cooper River Bridge Run. In 2020 the event was re-scheduled twice and then moved to 2021. Throughout all of those changes, Meg and Claire were so understanding and accommodating. I have rented from them for 5 years (different properties) because I can always count on the home being beautiful and well-appointed. Any time we have had any minor issues (missing stove knob, parking place taken) they have responded immediately and taken care of the situation right away. They are the best! Here are my favorite things about this property - parking is right beside the house, front porch for morning coffee and evening cocktails, easy and safe walk to King Street, the softest sheets and most comfortable beds, lavender shampoo, conditioner and body wash, plenty of bathrooms and plenty of charm. Can't wait until next year!!

Great area of Charleston
This house has been remodeled, but still retains it's original charm. The beds were comfortable. The 2 off street parking spaces are easily accessible, which is not always the case in this part of Charleston. This area can be a bit noisy at times, but that's the tradeoff for being close to upper King and having great restaurants and bars in the area.

Words Can’t Explain
Everything about our stay was phenomenal. The check-in process was simple, the location was close to everything but not much so that it was loud, lots of space and the beds were some of the most comfortable I’ve ever slept on. Parking on-site made it easy for us to drive to locations a little further away. We had a pretty large group of 7 adults and 1 baby and this house still felt big enough that we could each have our privacy. Thanks again to Meg, Stevenson and Claire for everything!

Beautiful Cannon Street House
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and the comforts of this beautiful home. The home is tastefully decorated, just as the pictures depict. My husband is handicapped (not wheelchair-bound) and did quite well. The only slight issue we had was there is no railing going up the backstairs, but there are only 5-6 stairs or so and I was there to help. He got around very easily in the home and the 1st floor bedroom & walk-in shower (actually all 3 showers are walk-in) was a huge plus (there are no grab bars in any of the showers, just so I'm not misleading anyone). Having 2 parking spaces was a huge plus for us since my husband uses a crane in his pickup for his scooter. We had plenty of room to load and unload his scooter. I gave a 4 star rating for the accuracy of the listing because the description says parking is included, but the owner charges $75 in his fees. Just FYI! Lastly, the house was very well stocked with paper towels, toilet paper, shampoos, soaps, coffee filters etc which was very nice. We didn't have to run out and buy those things. We also appreciated the fresh paint. This home is very well cared for! Beautiful!! Oh! One last note, if you loved 5 Loaves (mentioned in the description), you will be disappointed to know that it is closed. We were so disappointed....loved that restaurant!

Great Place
Family and friends with us for a long weekend. This place is wonderful—great location, great accommodations (everything from kitchen stuff to shampoo!), great off-street parking. We will try to get back, soon. Thanks so much for sharing your lovely home. (And, BTW, we got to see Mickleson win the ...!)

Unbelievable property!!
This house was the perfect spot for our wedding weekend. 5 minute walk to most of the restaurants and shops on King St. Beautiful walk around porch with seating, and all bathrooms in the house are updated. Will be staying here again next time we are in Charleston!

The property location is horrible backing to a construction site and ongoing business. Not one time were we able to sit quietly on what we hoped was the cozy front porch and garden area to enjoy coffee or a book without constant traffic construction workers and even had a view all week of a huge tractor that made pulling in and out of the so called two parking spaces almost impossible. If you aren’t a solid driver with great parking and manipulation skills you won’t be able to get easily in and out. On the inside we dealt with hot water that took every bit of at least 10 minutes to get was Luke warm at best with barely any pressure. The towels which is nice that they are provided where stained. The master shower door knob was broken and hard to open. The master closet door knob fell off the master toilet paper holder fell off. The sofa was disgustingly dirty to the point I didn’t even sit on it. The washer and dryer situation is almost impossible with how the door to it and the other door back to each other. The front door barely closes unless you’re force it to the point where on one occasion we didn’t close it hard enough and came home to the door wide open after the owner himself telling us he wouldn’t leave our Trek road bikes on the front porch bc they may get stolen. The neighborhood was filthy with trash everywhere. I have literally never experienced anything like it before. Additionally the owner had the house painted while we were there without telling us so we woke to someone crawling around under the front porch as we were having coffee while enjoying the view of the construction site. To top it all off I walk outside the next morning in my pajamas to find yet another man on the front porch who proceeds to inform us that he’s here to replace the shutters on the house.I will give it to the owner that when asked to stop the shutter replacement he agreed and they immediately left. Who wants to deal with banging on the house that they paid over $7,000 to rent for the week. I absolutely have no idea how this home got such great reviews I was disappointed at best and am regretful I wasted the money. For a few thousand more we could’ve been in the islands enjoying a five star resort.I would not recommend this place.

Family vacation
This house was amazing. It was in a beautiful historic neighborhood that was safe to walk around in the evening. Only 3-4 minute Uber ride to the shops/restaurants of the historic area. The owner was extremely helpful offering assistance at anytime needed. Would definitely recommend and love to stay there again. A+++

Charming house in great neighborhood
A perfect house for a small family -- comfortable with character and pleasing aesthetics -- in a lovely neighborhood with great restaurants and coffee shops, and close enough to the historic district but not too touristy.

Perfect Charleston Home!
We stayed for a few days after a long road trip to North Carolina. The home
We had booked canceled on us at the last minute and these folks stepped in and accommodated us on a moment’s notice. The home was clean, capturing Charleston charm but with modern upgrades that made for a nice stay. Very close to King street but the neighborhood was quiet and nice. Overall great stay and would definitely do it again.

House is absolutely fantastic!!
The only negative is the street is busier therefor noisier than we expected...all night long. It’s super convenient to walk to King street. The property is charming and every amenity has been added.

Wonderful weekend with family! The house was perfect and well appointed. The location is perfect. We walked everywhere and had a range of ages in our party. The kitchen was just what we needed for family dinners and we all enjoyed catching up on the porch.
Meg is the rental liaison extraordinaire!! She is warm, knowledgeable and quick to respond.
We will be back. Fantastic!

Great Charleston Neighborhood Experience
Great historic home beautifully renovated with lovely design details located in a walkable city neighborhood. Plenty of shops and restaurants within walking distance. The only thing to be ready for is that you are in a city on a bustling street - so if you are a light sleeper - bring ear plugs.😊

Recently renovated happy house
We found this house to be lovely and bright. It was nice to have a porch as an additional room where we gathered. The kitchen was well appointed with the kinds of tools and dishes we needed. The beds were comfortable and plenty of towels were provided. The location made King Street, and all its amenities, available to us.
