This place is delightful. Great location. The beach club located a couple blocks away was great. The place itself was so clean and wonderful. Their staff is fantastic. Can’t say enough about this place. Can’t wait to come back. The people on this area are what truly are amazing.

Everything about Villa Azomalli is perfect. From the very first email exchange with the owner to the moment we closed the gate behind us (with tears in our eyes), it was the gold standard for all VRBO rentals. The villa is spotlessly clean, well appointed and with a view that can't be beat. Chef Aracelli and her staff are extremely accommodating and helpful. The villa's layout is ideal for lazy afternoons around the pool and we really appreciated the games, books and puzzles that are there for you to enjoy. Note to self: bring a new 1,000 piece jigsaw puzzle to leave behind next year! Each bedroom is spacious with it's own bathroom that has just the right Mexican feel to it. The pool is meticulously maintained and exactly the right temperature. The villa was easy enough to find in a lovely gated community and only 11 minutes by taxi to the town centre/grocery store. This is truly the perfect combination of peace and quiet while still be accessible to great restaurants, beaches, etc. In full transparency, we did find the public access path to the Celeste Beach Club to be a little bit rickety and borderline dangerous, but you can also access the same beach via the main gates of the club, which is just a few more yards down the hill. It is a rather small crescent beach, so you will likely want to venture out to other beaches in the area. There are many. I wouldn't hesitate to come back to Azomalli again, and in fact we plan to in 2025!

Tony’s home was just as described and his staff was excellent! The neighborhood is very quiet and you get the most beautiful sunrises every morning accompanied by a chorus of birds. Aracely made us the most delicious breakfasts and even prepared a special Valentine's dinner for us. She went above and beyond with decorations and made the evening very special. Esme made sure our rooms were spotless and Nando kept the property in tip top shape. The house dog, Argos, was the most chill and friendly house dog we have run across. Our pickup and drop off at the airport were timely and comfortable in Felipe’s AC’d van. We used Felipe for most of our trips because we found him to be so reliable. If you are looking for an escape to paradise Tony’s Villa Azomalli is where you want to be!

We thoroughly enjoyed our experience at Villa Azomalli. Every morning we were greeted with a beautiful sunrise. Breakfast on the patio was always a treat! We opted to have Aricelli cook a few dinners, her food was delicious! She was very friendly and hospitable. This home has a great layout, modern amenities, a wonderful pool, amazing staff and is very comfortable. We hope to return soon! Thank you Tony for such an amazing experience.

There is not enough that I can say about how fabulous our stay was. The whole staff was over-the-top. They were. bery kind and accommodating. Chili was an excellent source of information. Argos the house dog became family to us. At the end of first day we wanted to take him home. The house itself was very clean and had every amenity we needed. We were very pleased to know that Tony is very well known in the community and highly respected. We cannot think the staff enough accommodating us when our flights were delayed. The only downfall was that we had to pack our bags and go home. We are already in the process of planning our next trip back to Tony’s.

We really enjoyed our stay at Villa Azomalli. It was very clean and the staff were exceptional. There were 6 of us in our group and we had ample room. Our rooms were tidied each day and the pool and grounds were maintained daily. Breakfast and dinners were delicious - our thanks to Araceli. We had access to the Celeste Beach club which was a bonus. . It was absolutely beautiful- great snorkelling!! I want to thank Tony for his prompt replies when our group had some questions - he even called me before our trip to confirm arrangements and also when we arrived. It was a great experience.

Villa Azomalli was terrific! Perfect layout to socialize and relax all in one. Loved our infinity pool with an amazing view of the ocean. Sunrises we’re absolutely beautiful. The staff were terrific as well. Celli and GinGin we’re great chefs and made us wonderful breakfasts every morning and dinners when requested. Esmerelda kept our villa very clean and tidy always. Our resident 4 legged friend Argos was a welcome addition and we enjoyed having him there. Tony , the owner, was very helpful and our communication was great. The fact that we could utilize the beach and facilities at Celeste was a blessing. A short walk down the hill and your on the beach. We highly recommend this property and look forward to booking with Tony once again soon!

Villa Azomalli was the perfect place to stay for our vacation in Paradise. The property is magnificent with unmatched ocean views, proximity to shopping, beaches, markets, and La Crucecita. The home was spotlessly clean. The gardens and pool were amazing and communication with the owner, Tony Palos was always easy and informative. Our every need was fulfilled by Aracely, an amazing native of Huatulco, fabulous chef, unmatchable concierge, and wealth of information about things to do, places to go, and the history of this glorious area. She is exemplary of the people we met in Huatulco - knowledgeable, efficient, and welcoming . We can't wait to return!

Perfect vacation house
We rented Tony's property when another listing canceled on us last minute, what a stroke of luck it turned out to be. The house is located inside a very safe gated neighborhood, with an amazing view of the Sierra sur mountains and Pacific ocean. The nearby private beach is unbelievably beautiful, great for swimming and snorkeling. We used the house as our home base for daily surf trips. It is about 10 minutes from la bocana , 30 from el mojon , and 40 from barra de la Cruz. The staff were helpful and the daily breakfasts were great. Highly recommended for families, or a group of surfers with a car.

This property made an amazing home base for our family adventure to surrounding surf, snorkeling, culture, food and exploration. It's hard to leave the house with amazing views, refreshing pool and comfortable spots to relax. And when we decided to use the on site chef service for lunch and dinner, we were surprised by the most gourmet authentic meals. It was perfect.

This is the property to stay in. Large bedrooms with AC. Breakfast each morning was made to our liking however after a couple of days we asked for her Oxacan specialties. We should have had her cook this type from the beginning. She also made dinner for us 2 times and both were very good.
There is fresh oj and beautiful fruit each day.
There is a pool which is just the right size. Perfect view of the Pacific ocean. Gardens are well tendered.
Taxi to the city is between 80-85 pesos. Everyone knows Tony Palos’ home.
The Celeste Beach club is a short walk down the hill. Very clean. They set you up with towels chais lounge and towels. We ordered drinks and snacks and were brought right to us on the beach. I got a massage and thought it was ok. The walk back up is daunting with 2 rocks to rest on. The price you pay for the best house.
This place is a hidden gem. Thank you Tony for allowing us to stay.

There were 4 couples, every room was great with its own bathroom. Tony was always responding to every email and the team who work there are amazing. They make you feel at home, make great food, very accommodating. Having access to Celeste beach resort a definite plus the only downside is the hill coming home. I'm out of shape though. If you want to go to town it is an 80 to 85 pesos tab.

Perhaps, the only thing I did not like is the beach, although is not so long way, it is difficult and extremely steep.

The perfect place to do nothing! Far from the crowds, your own pool overlooking the ocean, Villa Azomalli was ideal for lounging away the day with a good book. Even our meals were effortless with a chef to caterer for us. We hated to leave.

Villa Azomalli - A Beautiful Traditional Home in Huatulco
Villa Azomalli, Tony Palos (owner), and his staff Araceli Garcia, Tonita and Raemundo (Gin Gin), provided the BEST holiday this group of 7 friends could have asked for. We rented the home for the month of November, and enjoyed traditional Mexican meals, compliments of Chef and Concierge, Araceli. One member of our party is Celiac, and Araceli's crew (Worker and Natalie) made sure that every meal made met his requirements, even if it meant making a separate dish for him. She would bring our food to the table and quickly announce to him if the food was "not for him". Her food was so plentiful and filling that we had to cut down to 2 meals a day, with a snack (the BEST Guacamole and Ceviche EVER) in the afternoon. Tonita worked very hard keeping our rooms tidied daily, along with the common areas of the home. Gin Gin took care of the gardening (fresh limes), pool cleaning and all the heavy work around the house.
Along with the use of the house and pool (which was a life saver in the November heat), we had access to the Celeste Resort and Spa a short trip down a very steep hill. We had full use of their resort, including their quiet private beach (towels/chairs and palapa's included), drinks and food served on the beach (incredible fish tacos). The ocean water was clean, clear and warm, probably at least 85 degrees, much like the pool! The walk back at the end of a beach day was a challenge due to the steepness, however, there was a huge boulder halfway up the hill to rest your weary bones on and catch your breath. Also found that zig zagging on the way up, meant more steps on the step counter, and a little less exhaustion at the top.
Villa Azomalli is a 3 km walk to the nearest commercial area (near Barcelo, Dreams), and a short 80 peso taxi ride to Le Crucecita and Santa Cruz, where there were plenty of shopping and dining options available. Taxis were easy to catch any time of day, and all the drivers seemed to be aware of Casa a Tony Palos!!
This was the first trip to Huatulco for all 7 of us, and we were so impressed with the cleanliness of the entire area, the friendliness of the people and the safety of the community. The weather was warm, something this Alberta girl had a hard time adjusting to, but I won't complain! Not a drop of rain the entire 28 days, and arrived home to snow and -17 degrees Celsius.
Thank you so much Tony, Araceli, Tonita and Gin-Gin for the most awesome "private all-inclusive" holiday ever.

This is my second visit to Huatulco and I specifically chose Residenciales Conejos (the gated community this home is in).First off, the property owner tony, is a great guy. Very responsive and makes sure everything is prepared for you. Much appreciated tony! The home itself is older but meticulously maintained. (older compared to some of the newer condos and hotels available). This was a non issue because the home is really exceptional. You have amazing views anywhere you look. the front of the home shows off the Pacific while the back of the home reveals the mountains and some sneak peeks of a few other beaches and bays. the rooms are all spacious with their own bathrooms and very comfortable mattresses. the rest of the home is very open and light with the pool also overlooking the ocean. My only gripe about the home is the internet which was poor compared to American standards but understandable since I wasn't in the USA.The staff was good, with a highlight being Tonita the housekeeper who was very sweet and did a great job straightening up after our 2 little kids. This is the key difference between staying at an all inclusive or condo. You have a dedicated staff that only worries about you and no other guests. This is so much better then the alternative. Meals are prepared the way you like them at the time you want them. And if you need anything you have 3 people that can find the answer for you. Takes the stress out of vacations if it ever comes up.Back to the neighborhood - This house, as mentioned, is on one of the best lots in Conejos - the views and proximity to the beach are perfect. The new spa/resort in the neighborhood. Celeste, is a short walk from the home. This is where you can access the beach. This was a huge plus for us because we basically have our own private beach with a great wait staff from Celeste taking care of food, drinks, towels, ect. And I was surprised that they did not have resort prices for the drinks. A corona was only 30 pesos (I have been to other beaches where the cost is double). Finally I want to touch on Huatulco. This is really one of the gems of Mexico. We have been to several other places in Mexico and this one really stands out. If you want a quiet, safe place to just relax, enjoy beaches and some of the sites without fighting the mass of tourists then this is the place. I love Huatulco and will definitely be back and would highly recommend this home.

My husband and I recently had the pleasure of staying 3 weeks at Villa Azomalli. It is located in a prestigious neighbourhood situated high on a bluff overlooking the ocean. We never tired of watching the boats go by and listening to the sounds of the waves both day and night. We even saw a whale breaching! The staff at Villa Azomalli are amazing. Ray the caretaker keeps the yard and the pool in immaculate condition. Nicholas the housekeeper/assistant to chef is working nonstop-cleaning, laundry, preparing food and whatever else needs attention in the villa. He is one of the hardest working people we have ever met and he does it all with a big smile. Last but not least is Araceli the chef. Her culinary skills rival any of the restaurants we did go to and that was only because she and the staff take Sundays off. We couldn’t wait for Monday to come to see what she would prepare for us. Each day for breakfast we would be served freshly squeezed orange juice on the back patio where it was nice and cool. The views of the Sierra Madre mountains were stunning. While eating breakfast we would also see many colourful songbirds including beautiful parrots. Lunch and dinner were served in the front outdoor dining room where the ocean is your backdrop. Hard to find a better view in any restaurant in Huatulco. The villa itself has traditional Mexican charm. Nicholas made sure it was spotless and we always had fresh towels along with our daily room cleaning. Fresh flowers cut from the garden were also put in our room. A very nice touch that was appreciated. Araceli is not only an excellent chef but also concierge. She contacted tour guides to take us to Hagia Sofia (botanical garden) and a private panga (small boat) to tour around the 9 bays. She also recommended some restaurants for the days we did not eat at the villa. The beach club (Celeste Beach Residences and Spa) is approximately a 5 minute walk from the villa. We were pleasantly surprised to find out access to it was included in our stay. We worked out in the gym daily and used the facilities at the beach. The beach itself is gorgeous with calm, azure water for swimming and is uncrowded.Tony the owner is exceptional and responded to any questions we had within seconds of asking. We would highly recommend Villa Azomalli to anyone wanting to get away from the hectic pace of an all inclusive hotel. We hope to return next year and share our little piece of paradise with our family and friends.

Wonderful week in Villa Azomalli!
Wonderful week in Villa Azomalli! Beautiful views of the ocean and mountains. Araceli the chef is a gem! As a group of 6 adults and 2 small children, all our food needs and requests were met and more. The food was safe, expertly prepared, presented and also muy delicioso! After a few restaurants meals we all decided we were eating better at the villa! Lots of space for everyone to do their own thing. Lawn yard space for the children was a real bonus. Access to the Celeste beach resort was fabulous. The beach was pristine with safe ocean swimming. Snorkelling was a bonus! We enjoyed great service at the beach and poolside. All in all we enjoyed it so much we are planning to return again next year. Thanks Tony for an amazing family vacation!

Recover and Rejuvinate
Villa Azomalli is the place to relax. Outstanding all-inclusive resort without the big resort feel. Has a tremendous staff and facilities to handle all our needs. Personally it was the perfect vacation setting at the right time for me. Only decisions were the daily menu and what activities to do. Rooms are spacious with tremendous views. Grounds are spotless. Aracelli is a great chef and is the concierge suggesting activities and making all arrangements. A bonus Tony has arranged is free access to the nearby Celeste Resort and its amenities. Would definitely return and recommend.

Relaxing to the Max
From the moment my friend and I arrived at the Villa I knew this was going to be a fantastic relaxing vacation. You may think to yourself how could you know that so fast. Well when you meet Araceli and Myra Jin Jin you will know what I mean. They were friendly, warm and helpful from the first moment we arrived. My room and the furnishings were immaculate which is a very important thing to me. When we arrived Araceli prepared refreshments, guacamole, salsa and chips, and this was only the start to the meals she would prepare during the week for us. When I would awake in the morning, there would be fresh squeezed juice, sliced fruit, huevos rancheros and toast. If you wanted something else, all you had to do was let Araceli know and she would make it happen. As we had breakfast the first morning there were hummingbirds in the back patio area where you have breakfast. Quite a sight in addition to the other birds all around the area. Dinner was your choice and all you had to do was let Araceli know if you would be home that evening or not for dinner. My Spanish is not so good but don't worry Araceli speaks English and all you have to do is review the listing of activities and let her know your interests and she can arrange it. They handled all the details including having me picked up. I did not do a lot since my main focus of this trip was to unwind and chill out. I sat on the main lower level and looked at the ocean while the breezes kept me refreshed. The pool would cool you if you happened to get too warm. I went into town a few times just to walk around and do some shopping and to get a feeling of the area. The main square gives the feel of a quaint little town and that is just what Huatulco is, a quaint little town. It will not be long before more and more tourists discover this paradise but Villa Azomalli will always be special in my eyes.

The 3 R's for a great vacation READY,RELAXATION,RETURN
8 of us spent two weeks in January this year escaping the cold Minnesota weather at a house that was ready, relaxing, and a returnable destination.
READY: We arrived on the 10th of Jan. The house was spotless thanks to Myna the maid. The pool was ready and inviting. We were then greeted with a warm Oaxacan smile from our cook, Araceli. She was ready with fresh guacamole, salsa, chips, and a cooler of cold drinks for our enjoyment. She spoke English and was the "go to" person for local information. Rey ,our caretaker was ready and waiting to take our luggage to our room. Needless to say we were ready for two weeks of relaxation. It was nothing short of fantastic.
RELAXATION: The whole staff made sure we totally enjoy our vacation. Whether that meant taking care of details for day trips or making sure we had enough clean towels. The meals that Aracelli prepared, were most fantastic. Even the owner Tony called to make sure we were enjoying ourselves and wanted to know if the house lived up to our expectations.
RETURN: The weather, the local people, and our stay at the villa all made our decision to return an easy one.Once you have experienced Azomalli, no hotel will do. Thanks Tony and your staff for a most enjoyable two weeks.

Enjoyable vacation
The staff were amazing! They were so personable and wanted to ensure our stay was great! They served exactly what we wanted for food, the food was the best I have had on any international vacation, and they shopped for us! They called taxis for us and booked our tours. Pool is great size for our group (8). Hot tubs are more of a large bathtub, but we made them work. House is a little older than the pictures, but we were over that after a few hours. The view on both sides is breath-taking!

Awesome House rental Villa Azomalli Early January 2015.
We had a the opportunity to stay right after the new year. This house was perfect for 4 couples traveling together. The view and the sunrise over the ocean were great. Mountain view in the back yard was awesome as well. The pool was the perfect size for 8 people. You would never get this type of view in an All-Inclusive.
Aracelly handled anything we needed. She set up our Taxi's and excursions through out the week. The meals were amazing. They even accommodated a vegetarian and some one with a food allergy. The rest of the staff were efficient and unobtrusive. It was also nice to be able to use the beach club. Which was only a 5 minute walk. The open air feel in the main living quarters was nice but the bedrooms each had there own AC. My only thing I wish we would've known was to bring bug spray. We did get a few bug bites. I would not hesitate to go back to this House.
