About this house rental
Come enjoy Brevard and relax in this beautiful private home. We love the wood burning fireplace, private setting and dramatic vaulted ceiling. The home is situated on a big piece of property that includes a large wooded area that provides a buffer from the surrounding homes. The home is perfectly located between downtown Brevard and the entrance to Pisgah National Forest.
The home features a beautiful high ceiling and large picture window in the living room where you can enjoy the wood burning fireplace and the streaming TV. The dining area extends into the well stocked kitchen for an open, connected feeling. It's a great place to sit, relax and entertain guests. A sliding glass door opens out to the screened porch where the party can continue. The bedrooms are cozy and private, and are right down the hall. The master suite includes a private bathroom. There is a guest bedroom with a queen bed, and another bedroom with two twin beds.
The location of this home couldn't be more convenient and it's perfect for cycling. The Brevard bike trail runs along the edge of the property so you can easily access it. Go toward town and soon you'll find the Railroad Arts district with its eclectic mix of shops, music venues, restaurants, galleries and breweries. In the other direction you will eventually get to Pisgah National Forest. Be sure to stop about halfway to visit the Oskar Blues brewery with its pet friendly outdoor seating and food truck of the day. It's a nice ride and a good paved trail the whole way. You can walk downtown, but most people make the short drive up the hill to visit the downtown area. We are right across the street from the Porter Center, which is the performing arts venue for Brevard College. We are five minutes from the Brevard Music Center, home of the Mountain Song Festival and many other exciting musical events throughout the season. You can get to Pisgah National Forest in about five minutes, the DuPont State Forest is about a 15 minute drive, and it takes about 30 minutes to get to the beautiful Gorges State Park. Asheville and Hendersonville are both about 40 minutes away, and both feature lots of attractions if you want to take a day trip or two.
Check out the shopping, dining and scenery as you walk down Main Street. A favorite is Main Street Ltd., a great gift shop right next to Quotations Cafe. Of course, Brevard is home to the renowned Brevard Music Center, and is also host to annual festivals including the White Squirrel Festival in early June, great 4th of July festivals, the Mountain Song Festival every September, and lots of fun activities on Halloween (Brevard is in Transylvania County, after all).
We are so excited to host your visit! The Pete Key Properties team welcomes you and is here to help create a memorable experience. Please don't hesitate to contact us if you have any questions or need anything at all. We look forward to seeing you soon!

We were very happy with the floor plan, no steps. The location was great. The house was well appointed with linens and kitchen.
All of the floors require deep cleaning, especially bedrooms and bathrooms. Dust bunnies under beds.
We enjoyed our stay.

Nice location close to Downtown. Enjoyed the fireplace during chilly evenings and sitting on the screened porch during our down time. Would definitely return.

Rural feel but close to everything.

Home was extremely clean & all appliances in working order. The only criticism I have is there was a strong musty odor in the house.

Property was extremely clean and well stocked. Beds were very comfortable. Inside of house was exactly as pictured. Entrance from the road was the side of the house at the garage instead of the front as pictured so we weren’t sure we were at the right place at first but that was minor. We plan to stay there again next year.

The house was quite nice. The best part, was it's proximity to "Grammy's" diner, which had excellent breakfasts!

The advertising is deceiving because it makes you believe you are in the middle of the woods and you are not. Parking is unsafe as you have to back up to a busy street with poor visibility.
Upon arrival, the entrance to the house was full of spiders and spider webs all over it. I had to call and it was resolved but that should have not happened. It looked as if it had not been cleaned fora long time

We enjoyed the spacious and private property that is super convenient to retail, downtown, the bike/walking trail and a great restaurant. The house provided everything we needed to enjoy our stay. Communication was perfect, no real needs came up.

Check in was easy, everything was clean definitely a must stay again. Located within driving distance to pretty much everything. Our family was out there for a graduation and we were only 5 minutes from the location. Thank you

Enjoyed the home. Close to BMC, which is why we were in town. Watch poison ivy along walkway to front door.

It was a very nice place to stay. We were only there for 3 nights, but it was delightful. We will probably try to book the same cabin next year. The property manager was very accommodating and answered all our questions before we even asked. We recommend this cabin to anyone who wants to be close to town. The men (who are cyclists), thoroughly enjoyed riding their bikes on the trail abutting the cabin. That definitely makes them want to come back. Than you for your hospitality. Rating: 5/5

The house was great. Centrally located to Brevard. 15-20 minutes to DuPont Forest. Garage is great for storing mountain bikes.

The place was perfect!! Clean and loved the fireplace. A little dated but didn’t bother me due to the cleanliness. I would definitely stay again.

Do not be fooled by the humble exterior, this is a wonderful house! We asked the property manager if it was for sale with an eye to buying it. and I'm not kidding! (but it's not for sale...curses). Anyway, the house is comfortable and large--the living/dining area with its huge fireplace is especially spacious, warm and cozy with lots of comfy seating, but the heating system itself is incredible--everywhere is warm all over (steam heat?). This was important because we were there during the famous Christmas Eve freeze/storm of 2022 (it went down to zero that night and was below freezing for several days!). The property manager was especially helpful too, right there when I called and solved the problem immediately (the key box is a little complicated). The location could not be more central--walking distance of the two main grocery stores and only a five minute drive from everywhere else in town, including the Music Center on a hill above town. Despite the central location, the house is on a big piece of forested property and feels downright woodsy instead of urban. By the way, there is also a very nice screened porch, but considering the really cold weather we did not use it a single time. All in all, highly recommended!

Me and my wife and 2 friends came down for mountain biking and my wife shopped and just hung out. Location was great for all those things. I’d stay here again. Will definitely keep it on the list for future trips. Was clean and well stocked with blankets and all the things you need.

Brevard house close to the music center
We were in Brevard to attend some of the summer concert series at the Brevard Music Center. This house was super convenient to both downtown Brevard and to the music center, and everything from gas to groceries was no more than 5 minutes away. As some other reviewers have noted, the carpet could stand to be replaced, but the house itself was clean, spacious, and well-appointed. Bed and living room furniture were comfortable, plenty of towels and household products, fully stocked kitchen, and the screened porch and washer-dryer were two really nice extras. This was a last-minute booking for us (we had to vacate another VRBO in the area because of unsanitary conditions) and the property manager was great about communicating and about accepting our stay request on such short notice.

Snowchase 2022
We were doing last minute looking for a place to get snowed in, but not lose power and not get stuck. This place was perfect and exactly as billed—nothing fancy, but beautiful in the snow! Really appreciated the responsiveness and great communication.

The property was perfect for our quick fishing getaway with our college sons. Pete was very responsive to all our needs and even helped me with an item that was left behind by accident. Can’t wait to come back and visit again.

Loved It!
Went for a nursing school girls trip. The house was spotless and very well stocked. So fun and cozy. We even got to see one of Brevard’s famous white squirrels in the yard. Only complaint would be that it’s a busy road and kind of loud. We would definitely stay here again!

We had an issue with the ac the dirst day but arrived too late to resolve. We did get it corrected on the second day but the ac still didn't cool the house much. It wouldn't go below 70 so it stayed fairly warm in the house. Everything else was wonderful. The kitchen was stocked, rooms were nice and it felt homey.
The carpets need a bit of cleaning or replacing but all in all a great stay.
