About this house rental
We created this getaway 7 years ago for people who just need to escape for a few days....You can't beat the quiet, charm, and simplicity of the farmhouse for a home away from home (not to mention the kitchen). "Super clean from top to bottom" and "spotless" are two ways our guests have described our farmhouse. We take pride in the cleanliness and the charm, because we manage the home ourselves (our only vacation home). We have owned this home in the Finger Lakes since 2017.... And we have not changed the daily rate!
Our kitchen is the perfect spot for your favorite recipes. We have had caterers settle into our kitchen comfortably for special occasions. The gas stove and large granite island provide a great focal point for get-togethers and there is also a gas grill on the deck. The kitchen is very large and practical and has just about anything you will need for a summer grilling experience or a cooler weather project on the grill or in the crock pot. You can comfortably fit 20 people in the kitchen for dinner as well as multiple cooks.... Plus there's more room on the deck! We've been thrilled to hear that the kitchen was the location of dance parties, prayer sessions, late night games, craft weekends, Thanksgiving dinners with all the fixings, and cozy morning coffee while viewing the lake.
The view of Keuka Lake naturally draws you to the kitchen and deck, although there is a lake view from several other rooms in the house. In the summer you can faintly hear boats on the lake, in the fall the colors are phenomenal, in the spring you can watch the green change its hue, and in the winter it is fun to watch the lake start to freeze over. Nights around the campfire or at the gas-lit fire table on the deck bring memories and shooting stars. You don't need to drive anywhere to hike, sled, or cross-country ski - you just walk out the door. And families love our huge yard!
We have really enjoyed being VRBO owners and have listened carefully to feedback from our guests. We stay at the farmhouse frequently when it is not rented, so we know the personality of the house and what it feels like to stay there.
In 2024 we are thrilled to welcome high-speed Internet! Our county was awarded a grant that took several years to implement but we now have very reliable Internet and TV services! This is so exciting in our rural setting! We have also invested time, love, and energy in refinishing our kitchen table (really the cornerstone of the home) and also completing some repairs and maintenance on finish work throughout the house. Hopefully we have corrected the squeaky stairs and squeaky doors! We also just installed new exterior lights and repainted the deck! In the fall of 2023 we invested in well work and a new water filtration system to improve both the quality of our water and the volume of output. We have had no trace of sulfur smell since the water work was done.
Other improvements throughout the years include a complete tear-off of the roof with the addition of a private master suite in the former attic. (We don't rent the master suite, so pictures are not included on VRBO. ) We have installed a stereo system with a vinyl collection. We love the 2020 addition of the "chapel," where our daughter married the love of her life in the middle of the pandemic.
The house is a favorite location for couples enjoying the Finger Lakes, foodies who love the kitchen, and families celebrating big or small events. We have hosted lots of girls' weekends. We have been a reprieve for families whose sons and daughters are getting married nearby. There is lots of room for cornhole, badminton, and other lawn games, and we provide the equipment. Families with small children have commented on how much fun their kids had playing outside.
When our family stays at the Farmhouse every summer, we are busy every single day. We are out on the lake in a boat, renting paddle boards from Shoreline Rentals, swimming at Keuka Lake State Park, hiking the Outlet Trail, boating to our lunch destination, visiting Steuben Brewery and Laurentide, cooking awesome meals in our awesome kitchen, roasting S'Mores at the campfire, visiting all our favorite playgrounds with the grandkids, and just chilling out. We also enjoy the house in the other three seasons, especially once the fall approaches and we get the open fireplace going in the living room. Marianne and Ryan learned to snowboard on our hill! Matt learned to cook in the kitchen and recently completed a ten-mile running loop from the house! Danielle and Dana learned to waterski on Keuka Lake during our summer week! And now our grandkids are old enough to start tubing! We also celebrate Christmas and New Year's together as a family at the Farmhouse, and we decorate together a live fir tree. Even if it is just a quiet weekend at Keuka, we find that the views and the meadows just bring you back to nature and tranquility.
As a family we also use the Farmhouse as a reprieve and an inspiration, away from our busy lives.... Marianne studied for the MCAT here in March of 2019 and Monica finished the last touches of her dissertation in the fall of 2017. The house provided inspiration and focus! Marianne and Ryan got engaged at our camp just up the road and then we had a champagne toast in the farmhouse kitchen... It's that vibe! (Then they got married at the Farmhouse, too... Check out the photo of the chapel!) We also have watched many football games on the big-screen TV in the living room, and we host an annual neighborhood get-together in our "cave" garage across the street from the house. We are here to stay..... And we hope you join us in celebrating family, the outdoors, and traditions!

Distance to our favorite brewery: 14 miles (Steuben). We also enjoy Laurentide, which is 9 miles away in Penn Yan.
Distance to a close winery: 7 miles (Hunt Country)
Distance to a great hiking/biking trail: 9 miles (Keuka Outlet Trail)
Distance to Keuka College: 6 miles

Settle in... It is a contact-free, easy check in process....You are home! There is plenty of parking available on our dead-end street and in the driveway, with just a few steps to the door! We make packing for your stay easier, because that's what we would want. We will leave plenty of paper products, spices, condiments, vinegars/oils and coffee so that you don't waste time and space with the small details. Some guests have mentioned that they actually saved money because they stayed "home" to cook! Ask if we have it before you pack it!
Each bedroom has its own genre and thematic colors, even down to the towels! The bedrooms are very spacious, and the beds are super cozy. We have painted each room with calming tones and we keep decorations and visual clutter at a minimum to stick with the farmhouse theme and help family and guests clear their minds.
The living room has plenty of seating and is a great place to play Yahtzee, Backgammon, or many other board games we have left for you. The open-hearth fireplace in the cooler months is so relaxing, and yes - we leave the firewood. We hesitated to put in a big flat-screened TV (who needs that in the country?), but we are finding that it's a great way to enjoy together a movie or catch up on the last episodes of your series. You can also log into your favorite music station and broadcast your tunes through the house. We leave for you both kids' DVDs and grown-up movies.
We can send you a link to our custom-built website which offers many local recommendations and FAQs. We also provide brochures and informative suggestions so that you will make the best of your stay. We know you will find that Keuka Lake is just a slice of heaven. Maybe the farmhouse is the back-to-basics you've been looking for.

Had a great time hanging out at the house. They have a great vinyl collection. Went to a few great wineries near by. Spent a day at Keuka State park that was very nice. 30 Minute drive to the Windmill Flea Market. So much to do.

This is an absolutely beautiful property. Old farm house modernized for comfort and convenience. Really nice kitchen and dining room. Clean, comfortable bedrooms and baths. We wanted for nothing. We spent a day at wineries and microbreweries in the area and the next day took advantage of being just minutes away from Keuka Lake where we rented a pontoon boat. Tons of room and what felt like nearly limitless extras made this boys weekend of life-long friends the best one we’ve had yet.

My sister's and I enjoyed the home. It has all the amenities and was perfect for all 5 of us.

The Farmhouse was exactly as pictured. Everything was neat and clean. We spent a lot of time in the back deck and dining room. Everything was great.

Beautiful location and a beautiful home. Very relaxing and inviting.

We loved this charming house. Very secluded and quiet. Although we did not take advantage of all the amenities, there was a great fire pit and deck. The kitchen is well stocked. We would definitely stay here again.

We had an amazingly relaxing stay at the Farmhouse while we explored Keuka and Senaca Lake. We would Highly recommend this VRBO.
Pros: Beautiful views, Gorgeous kitchen fully stocked, Nice fire pit, All rooms were a very nice size, room for all, Off the beaten trail, Grocery stores, Vineyards, Breweries, Cideries and Restaurants within 15 minutes. Reminded us of the farmhouse my parents had for 35 years in Conneaut PA, brought back great memories.
Worth noting: Window AC Units in bedrooms, typical for an older house and this area, we were here during hot weather and were comfortable. No unit in the downstairs bedroom. Sloped yard, tough for those with mobility issues, just be there to offer a hand. Squeaky hard to close door on bedroom next to bath upstairs, probably due to swelling from heat. This stuff did not take away from our stay, but figured it was worth noting for others.
Plan: Binder full of pamphlets available at the house (so helpful), one has a huge map. I would suggest planning your days to see what you want to see most because it can be very overwhelming.
Favs: Bully Hill Vineyards, Rasta Ranch Vineyards, 3 Brothers Winery, Senaca Harbor Station
I would plan for a week next time, 3 days was too short!

We only stayed 2 night. The property is large, clean and you can feel all the love an effort put into this house. The area around is worth staying at least 1 week. You as well get the NYC Pass which allows you to enter many parcs with one car. We as well used it to go for a swim. The terrasse is the most beautiful place of the house… We really enjoyed it!

Our stay was delightful. We spent 4 nights at this cute farmhouse and had a great time. Location is close to the lake, hiking, restaurants, etc. The property owners suggested all the right things to do and places to go. The yard is huge and beautiful. We love the fire pit area!

Our family enjoyed a wonderful vacation on Keuka Lake and created some great memories. The farmhouse is in a spectacular, private location while still close to the wineries, lake, state park, restaurants and more. We felt like we were at home away from home.

We had a wonderful stay at the farmhouse. It’s clear that the owners take pride in the quality of the property. The home is exactly as described in the listing. The owners thought of everything- they even had some cute decorations for the bachelorette weekend. It was truly a nice touch. The location is perfect if you’re looking for a very peaceful place with very little traffic. You can’t beat the atmosphere and views. Communication with the owners was great. They were available if needed and offered some great suggestions. Everyone in our party loved it and would stay again in a heartbeat.

The farmhouse was spacious and easily accommodated our group of seven. The kitchen had everything we needed to prepare our meals, and they have a huge dining table overlooking the backyard.
The drive seemed a bit long from the main road, but it was a beautiful road with lots of wildlife and the location is so peaceful.
The owners were very responsive to questions leading up to our stay. I would highly recommend this listing for a large group.

Stayed here with our teenage kids. Hiking at Letchworth , Watkins Glen and Robert H Truman state parks. Loved the location. Very private. Kids enjoyed watching the ground hog playing by the garage! Would recommend

Our stay was absolutely perfect for 3 couples. We enjoyed relaxing around the fire pit and fire table. The kitchen was fun to cook in and the road the house sits on is so peaceful. We really liked sipping coffee and having good conversations on the deck in the mornings! I would definitely stay at the farmhouse again.

We loved the kitchen and dining area so we could all be together at one table. The weather was fabulous for late October and we were able to utilize the deck and the gas fire table and that view was amazing.

We enjoyed our stay very much at this residence. It was well equipped with everything we needed. We made great memories with friends touring the lake and we even had a bonfire one evening with a beautiful view. Would recommend staying at this location.

My siblings, spouses, older nephews and myself loved our stay here! The house was clean and had lots of amenities! The kitchen was easy to have a bunch of us cooking together. We ended each night around the fire pit! We loved it!

This listing came up in my search for handicap-accessible places in the Finger Lakes. Private communications with the owners prior to booking assured me it would be comfortable for my wheelchair-bound friend. It was not. From the road (there is no driveway or parking area near the house), there are several wooden steps, a short walkway, and a step up into the house -- not at all wheelchair-friendly. While there was indeed a bedroom and bathroom on the first floor, the bathroom has a tub shower, which is not usable for people with mobility issues. So no showers for 4 days.
The inviting firepit in the yard is accessible only via a steep flight of wooden steps from the house, or down a slippery grassy slope from the road... so this feature was also off limits to us. We tried to salvage the experience by having a fire in the large indoor brick fireplace instead. When we could not locate the fireplace tools, the owners responded promptly, informing us that we were not allowed to have an indoor fire, as the 50-degree nights were not cold enough for that.
The temperature indoors is controlled remotely by the owners. There was one washcloth in the entire house, and the coffee filters did not fit the coffee maker.
The house was clean with gorgeous views, quiet surroundings, and a lovely interior featuring comfortable seating and a spacious kitchen. Nice place, but overall disappointing for our purposes.

Perfect house- had everything we needed/wanted for our girls trip away from the hubby and kids.
Perfect location - Close to many local shops, wineries, breweries, lake activities etc.
Perfect hosts- Greg went way above and beyond for us when we had an issue with a vehicle and I cannot thank him enough. He and Monica do everything they can to make your visit relaxing, fun and memorable. Thank you!
We will be back!

We had such a wonderful time at the house. Couldn't believe how stocked it was with everything we needed and more. Morning coffee on the deck overlooking the lake, wedding vow renewals and a dance party in the gazebo were just a few highlights. Thank you for making it so easy to just relax and have a great time with great friends!

The house is up on a bluff overlooking Keuka Lake. It is an older farmhouse, so it has much charm but also some quirks to be aware of. For example, we had younger children who needed to nap and also went to bed early. The stairs and second floor were very creaky. Also, there were some water pressure issues when showering or when running the dishwasher and trying to use the faucet in the kitchen sink. But there were many things we enjoyed about the house. The living room is very spacious, the kitchen is truly gourmet and well stocked (including fresh herbs in an Aerogarden), and the deck with the fire table offered a nice view of the lake. Our family enjoyed gathering in these spaces and spending time together. And though the upstairs was creaky, the beds were very comfortable and we slept well at night. It's very quiet as you are truly out in the country. This also allowed us to enjoy the wildlife that made appearances throughout the day (we saw deer, a falcon or hawk, and had a visit from a turkey family from the farm up the road). All in all we enjoyed our stay at this charming farmhouse overlooking Keuka Lake.

The house was exceptionally clean and well stocked with everything we would want. The large kitchen was lovely with lots of light and a huge table. The deck with grill and fire table were a welcome spot to relax. The bedrooms with comfortable beds were quiet and allowed my family to spread out. We enjoyed the lake view. The use of the Empire Pass for the state parks was a surprise and delight. While the internet was slow my daughter could do her graduate school work later at night. Thank you for a lovely stay.

Wonderful stay at a beautiful farmhouse with a view of Kueka Lake. Greg and Monica's beautiful home was warm and inviting. Their beautiful kitchen was a joy to cook in. The long dining room table was a awesome to gather around and look out on the property. Upon arrival my partner pulled a basil leaf to chew on and the kitchen was filled with its aroma. Our night were spent on the deck by the gas fireplace tanle looking at the stars and catching a few metors. Greg gave me access to turn off the garage light for better star gazing. To a person our group would return to this beautiful home. The beds were comfortable. Its close enough to everything. It was my first time exploring Keuka and would like to return. You cant go wrong with renting this home. Thank you Greg and Monica.

Words can not express just how perfect Greg and Monica’s beautiful Farmhouse was for our family to gather together to celebrate our mom’s 80th birthday. Family came from different states and enjoyed food and laughs at the incredibly long farm table, cocktails around the deck, and making s’mores and telling stories around the fire pit! The house was large yet so cozy and comfortable. We so appreciated all of the amenities, land, beauty, view, and more!! We can’t wait to return!

We had a fabulous weeklong family gathering at The Farmhouse. Everything was perfect- the house, the property, the view, the location. Greg and Monica are thoughtful hosts. Everything we needed was at the house and communication was excellent. I highly recommend staying at the Farmhouse and look forward to another visit.

With friends from Michigan and family from Canada, we spent 3 full days exploring wineries and breweries around Keuka and Seneca Lakes, plus the town of Penn Yan and Watkins Glen State Park, where we hiked the Gorge Trail. Base camp was at the 'Farmhouse'. Perfect location: easy access to drive to wineries, breweries, Penn Yan and Watkins Glen State Park, where we hiked the Gorge Trail. At the end of the day the large Farmhouse was a place to gather, relax on the deck, cook/grill dinner and eat in the large (well stocked!) kitchen area, share stories, take a short walk down the road, watch the deer, the sun setting on the cottages across the lake, listen to the birds......a quiet location where we could leave the city life behind. For 3 couples, the 3 upstairs bedrooms were large and comfortable, and 2 full bathrooms (one up and one down) was a bonus. Our hosts were very accessible via VRBO message. A place that allowed us some great memories, we would highly recommend it!

Great place for a long weekend getaway, close enough to enjoy all the activities, yet secluded to have time to yourself…even a great spot for our future son-in-law to propose to our daughter.
Hosts were awesome…great communication, great recommendations, etc., etc.
Would not hesitate to stay again.

We had a wonderful weekend at the Farmhouse. Mornings on the deck with coffee looking at the lake. We enjoyed playing games & having meals in the beautiful dining area off the kitchen then ending our evening sitting around the firepit laughing & telling stories. We will definitely be back. Wonderful hosts & accomodations.

We really enjoyed our stay at your farmhouse! It was everything & MORE!
The house was absolutely exactly what the description said. The scenery was awesome. If we had a question or problem, they replied immediately. We will definitely be staying there again. I never saw a kitchen, through a rental, that was well stocked with whatever you needed. THANK YOU Greg & Monica for sharing your farmhouse!

Our group of four friends stayed here for two nights. The house was spotless and the first floor was laid out very well with space to relax and a great kitchen and dining area. We were so busy visiting wineries we never actually got to cook any meals there or even sit at the beautiful large dining table (It really would seat 12 comfortably).
We did use the fire ring Saturday night and all agreed it was one of the best set ups we've encountered in a vacation rental. It had eight large wooden Adirondack chairs so there was plenty of space and no rickety chairs. The views of the lake and the stars at night were fantastic. We really loved our stay. The owners also provided information on local wineries. We started at Keuka Springs as recommended and it was great. The highlight of our weekend was a special 1886 chocolate themed food and wine four-course pairing at Dr. Konstantin Frank Winery in Hammondsport (so to anyone reading this, if you love good food and good wine, book an 1886 Experience in advance, it's worth every penny).
In fact the only issue we had all weekend was the size of the beds (all doubles, no queens) and the lack of firmness of the mattresses. Just to be clear the mattresses were in great condition they were just very soft which other people may like.
All in all a great house in a fabulous location.

We totally enjoyed our stay at the Farmhouse. Kitchen was huge and the view was great. Plenty of room in the living room. Loved seeing a doe and her 2 fawns every morning. Beds were comfortable. Loved that the house was on a dead end road so it was quiet.
