Sandquarters Beach House - An inviting get-away for families and friends and just a short walk to the beach in one of New England's best beach towns. This single family home is located in a quiet neighborhood with plenty of parking, and a private yard for grilling. A cozy setting to relax after a long walk on the beach, or a day exploring nearby Portland or Freeport.
This home is a spacious Victorian style with high ceilings and a lot of charm. The living room is a comfortable gathering place with original period woodwork and plenty of seating. There is a trundle bed adjacent to the living room for afternoon naps or for extra guests.
The modern kitchen has new counter tops, a cooktop, stove and ceramic tile floor. The kitchen is stocked with all the necessities to cook a big meal or a light snack. We also have lobster pots if you decide to enjoy the local seafood. A separate dining room has ample space for meals, or a great setting to work on a group jigsaw puzzle.
An activity closet is stocked with board games and puzzles for relaxing evenings or for rainy days. We also have a mini-library of vacation reading; take a book home with you or leave one behind when you are done with it.
Upstairs there are 3 bedrooms with bureaus and closets for ample storage space and a washer and dryer are available in the basement for your convenience.
A keypad access code will allow all members of your family access to the house without the worry of keeping track of a key.
Surrounding Area: The house is a block away from a local park/playground, the town library and mini-golf. Also, the amusement park, restaurants and shops are within walking distance. You can leave your car at home and not worry about parking!
Nearby Attractions: Within a short drive you'll find theme parks, movies, golf courses, a water park, and the outlets of Freeport and Kittery.

The house was the perfect size for our family and within walking distance to the beach. Hosts made great recommendations on places to visit. Cascade Falls was beautiful and Tami Lyn’s definitely had the best lobster rolls!

A lovely Victorian home close to everything at Old Orchard Beach. Very spacious, never felt squished even with 11 people staying there. It looks exactly like the pictures.
The kitchen is fully stocked...tons of plates, bowls, mugs and cups, pots/pans and serving bowls/items. Everything we needed was there. Great property. Great neighbors. The host did quick check ins at the beginning of the week, mid week and end of week.
Theres a closet with tons of games and books.
If you must have air conditioning, then this is not for you; however even on warm days it was not hot in the house, there are tons of fans and there's a nice cross breeze.
Definitely want to return, the home was clean and fully stocked and the location was perfect.

We had a houseful of people, all traveled to Maine from Wisconsin. We loved the house! It was big enough for us all, it was comfy, clean, close to the beach and not too far from Portland- the wedding venue was there. It was nice not to have to stay in hotel rooms! Loved it!!!

This property is located within a few minutes of everything in Old Orchard Beach and you are also situated for trips to Portland and the surrounding area. Plenty of parking. A full kitchen. Laundry area. Super fast WiFi. It was great.

This house is in the perfect location and had enough room for our large family. The rooms are a great size that we could set up a portable bassinet for our infant and we weren’t crammed. There was an issue with the refrigerator which we did notify the owners and they were very responsive and communication was great! We loved waking up in the morning and going for a walk to grab a coffee and breakfast. There is a playground nearby so that was great to take my active toddlers to. We had a wonderful time at OOB and were happy to make the same memories with our family that we had as children. We will consider this property again for a future stay!

The location of this property is by far perfect. Beach/Pier is a short walk away. Everything else that you might enjoy with a group of teens/pre-teens is under two miles away - hiking, water park, mini golf.
The house is very roomy. The only downfall is lack of A/C so if you get an extremely hot week, sleeping may be uncomfortable since the bedrooms are upstairs.
Overall, great place to stay. Neighborhood and neighbors were very friendly and helpful with tips on things to do around town.

This house is in the perfect location and had enough room for our large family. The rooms are a great size that we could set up a portable bassinet for our infant and we weren’t crammed. We felt very at home upon our arrival. The house was full of character. We used the kitchen alot since it rained for much of our stay. What a great kitchen and dining room to create memories with the family.

We have been to OOB many times over the years, this stay was our favorite by far. The home was very clean, comfortable and in a quiet neighborhood. We were close to all the places we wanted to go. We will be back!

we ventured out both days to see the sites, including Fort Williams and downtown Portland. The neighborhood is very quiet and we slept well.

Old New England Charm.
This property was perfect for our group of 10. We had 6 adults 3 kids, and one infant. Even though we were staying in the fall, we could tell that this would be an amazing location for the summer. It was close to everything we wanted to drive to, from hikes to walks in downtown Portland and Freeport. There were some quirks with it being an older house, but the size and location can't be beat. Mattresses were a little stiff, and there is only one shower you can stand in. Pat was easy to contact and a great host. Overall great experience!

Saw eye to eye with a raccoon outside my bedroom window
House was located about .5 miles from beach and pier. First night heard a thump in my bedroom and scratching on the roof. Couldn't tell if it was in attic or outside. Took light to window and saw raccoon outside of my bedroom window. Looked eye to eye. Was very upsetting. Raccoon continued to crawl on outside of roof around other bedrooms. Loud and scary! Called owners on cell but they did not return call. House was in good location. Just didn't enjoy the wildlife.

Little Getaway
We enjoyed our stay. The house was equipped with everything we needed, we were not there much to make use of the house in full as we were out and about from morning till night. Perfect house for a family of 5, my 2 children loved the closet full of games they discovered after the 2nd day a great way for the littles to unwind after a busy day. Over all we had a great stay, the washer and dryer was a bonus saved on tons on laundry when we returned home after a 6 hour drive. Thank you

Perfect for family
Two family with young kids between 1 and 6. Was able to walk to the beach and come back for lunch and go back to beach in afternoon. What a great week we had ! It was very convenient to have all the beach accessories provided, we did not need to overfill the car. Also the little market with fresh fruits, vegetables and lobster in walking distance was really appreciated.

House is really clean and is appointed VERY well. The kitchen is loaded with everything you need, pots, pans, silverware, utensils, even an electric knife sharpener. Between the pantry and the storage area downstairs, you are well stocked....paper towels, napkins, TP, dish soap, sponges, etc. Living Room was comfortable and the dining room seats 10. We ate outside more often than inside, back patio has a table, umbrella and 6 chairs ( 6 plastic chairs available too) 12 total). The outdoor shower was pretty cool, the kids loved it.
In the shed there are a bunch of extras as well, beach chairs, wagons, toys, games and most importantly a spare BBQ tank. Without the spare tank our seasoned flank steak would have had to be finished inside the house in the oven - we were doing a surf and turf night. Beach Lobster and Farmstand is right around the corner. They have produce, mussels, oysters and LOBSTERS ( they cook the lobsters for you as well, serious bonus). Don’t forget about Fielder’s Choice.
All 11 of us had a great time, ages ranging from 2 to 48. House location is key, short walk to the beach. We only used the cars once, to go to Portland, lighthouse tour by boat.
There were a couple of drawbacks that I should mention BUT by no means would I let them deter me from staying at this house.
- Lack of A/C. There were plenty of fans, but when it’s super hot, it’s hot, especially upstairs.
- A dishwasher would be a plus, especially when there are a bunch of people staying at the house.
- Lastly, sharing 1 shower is a little tough...although we did offset that by using the outdoor shower – def. helpful. I would look into adding an oval shower curtain rod and then there would be 2 indoor showers, a bathtub and an extra shower outdoors.

Best Vacation Ever!
I cannot say enough about this property and these hosts. It was huge, clean and offered so so many unexpected "extras". I will say that the pictures (although great) did not do it justice - WAY better in real life, both inside and outside. Also, the location is unbelievable. Close to everything but not too close. We had not a care in the world!
My only problem was that I wanted to keep texting the owners all weekend long to tell them how much we LOVED their home! Thanks so much, Pat and Mike, for a fantastic weekend!

We really enjoyed the house and all the extras like grills outside and a game closet with games to entertain the kids. The kitchen was wonderful and had everything we needed. Bedrooms were comfortable and spacious. The only thing we didn’t like was the house next door. It seemed a little run down and made us nervous at night. We went to old orchard beach after the summer season has ended and everything was shut down, so maybe during peak season with more people around, it wouldn’t seem so sketchy.

Great Home for large group, close to beach!
I went here with my family (wife, parents, in-laws) and we had a great time. The house is large, well appointed and close to the beach (and in a quiet neighborhood close to all necessities). Pat and Mike have maintained the house well, and we were able to find a lot of necessities in the house (coffee & filters, salt/pepper/spices, pots/pans, silverware) easily. Things are labelled and easy to find and a handy dossier of information was at our disposal to make things easy for us. Pat was always ready with a quick response to any and every question we had. Despite not being a big beach person, I had a great time and I think my family had a great time too! Would definitely go again if I am in the area!

Spacious, clean and comfortable. Felt like a home away from home
Pat and Mike where available for any questions and checked in on us a couple times. This home is ment for families to enjoy. It accommodated our family of 9 ages 14 to 69. We did tye dye projects in the backyard and puzzles from their stocked closet of goodies and the beach was a 5 minute walk and the pier under 10 minutes. Quiet neighborhood! And we are looking forward to many years of family vacations at their home.
