About this house rental
Enjoy a beautiful spacious 5 bedroom 3.5 bath home in a quiet wooded setting overlooking the Magothy River. The home includes two master suites: one on the main floor and one on the second floor. The second floor master suite has a jacuzzi tub and opens onto a second floor deck. Three other large bedrooms are on the second floor with one also opening to the second floor deck. Classic hardwood floors lead to carpeted bedrooms. A stone fireplace graces the living room and dining room which span the whole waterfront side of the house. French doors off the living room and dining room open out to a large screened in porch that is another room onto itself with indoor/outdoor carpeting, ceiling fans, a picnic table and outdoor furniture. With the porch doors open, the breeze off the river can be felt throughout the house. However, there is air conditioning for really hot days. Tastefully decorated with warm bright colors, overstuffed furniture, a dining room table that seats 10, an eat-in kitchen, comfortable rooms and an exceptional layout make this home particularly inviting. There are water views from virtually every room.
We enjoy many returning guests. The house has become a home away from home for those who visit the area frequently.

This house was perfect for my husband and I and our adult children with their significant others. The screened in porch was fun to hang out on Access to the river was awesome. A rookery of blue herons just across the cove. Great big family vacation spot. We would definitely rebook.

Issues with ants in the kitchen upon arrival, 2 of the 3 TV's on the property did not work, and the one that did work only had streaming, unable to get local over the air channels. Welcome book did not have a lot of detailed information about the property. Of the VRBO properties we have used in the past, this property was not worth the price. Granted it was at a peek time in Annapolis, MD for commissioning week at the Naval Academy, but still it was not worth amount we paid.

The house was perfect for our family of 3 generations staying the weekend for a wedding. Beautiful views over looking the water, a ground floor master bedroom for my parents, 2 rooms upstairs for adults and 2 for kids. Highly recommend!

Another great stay for a group of 8 women- friends since college. Plenty of room to spread out and very comfortable. Back screened in porch so nice overlooking the water. Owners very responsive and no issues encountered. Definitely recommend gathering for family and friends.

Our family of 10 had a great weekend at this home. It is spacious, clean, well stocked with supplies, a fire pit that overlooks the water.... We spent most of our time by the water or on the screened in porch. The hosts are friendly and generous. Hope to visit again.

Lots of space as we could all have our own bedrooms. Loved the back porch and backyard area. Peaceful and pretty water views. Close to Annapolis. Get up for the sunrises! Owners were responsive to inquires . I would want to stay there again. We all wish we could have stayed longer!

The house was great. The layout was very good for our friend group. I loved the screened in porch. The water was great for swimming and floating about. We rented paddleboards which was a lot of fun. Only downsides were the area around the fire pit was a little tight for a group of 9 and we ran into a few jellyfish. Otherwise perfect location and the owners were so helpful in making our stay better.

Perfect home for our family to have intentional time together. We were able to take 2 adult children, their spouses and their families. Everyone had their own sleeping space and bathroom. The back porch was perfect for this Nan and Pap to have coffee along the water in the morning before anyone else was up. Evenings were filled with and food and laughter with no bugs thanks to the screened in porch.
Easy day trips to Annapolis and Baltimore with lots of things to do.

Beautiful home on the water
8 of us rented this property to attend a wedding. Plenty of room for the 8 of us. Enjoyed our short visit to Annapolis and sitting in the screened in porch. We also enjoyed just sitting in the yard looking at the beautiful water and properties. Could have used a couple more lawn chairs is all. Everything was wonderful.

My son is in the Naval Academy. We rented this for his parents weekend which didn’t happen last October due to the pandemic. These owners were amazing to work with and we rescheduled for our spring break. It is perfect perfect perfect. It is about a ten mile easy drive to get to the academy. The house is spotless, exactly as pictured, on the water and has everything we needed. We have booked it for his 2022 commissioning and can’t wait to return.

Peaceful retreat
This place was just what we needed! Cleaned and sanitary, we were not worried about COVID-19. The location is in a neighborhood but feels secluded and is super relaxing. The hosts went above and beyond to be flexible with our group and all our needs. The water is gorgeous and relaxing and the kitchen had everything we needed.

Last summer getaway
The house was perfect for a large family getaway. There is many convenient stores, restaurants, and attractions near by. Our itinerary included sandy point state park, Annapolis downtown, bushel as Joe’s Seafood, and a full day just hanging out at the house: Kayaking, fishing, crabbing and campfire. A week on the Magathy River
This house is gorgeous with spacious bedrooms and living space. Enjoyed meeting and talking with the owners who live in the adjacent property. The river is beautiful and clean. I brought my own kayak and did a lot of fishing. Caught many white perch and a few Pickerel.

Plenty of room for 5 adults and 5 children ages 6-11 to run around indoors and out.
This is the second stay for our three-generation family. We love having space for kids to run around inside and out. Also, there are lots of toys and games to keep children occupied. Kitchen is well-stocked with dishes and cooking utensils, and large enough to accommodate multiple cooks. Very clean. Beds are comfortable. Our favorite features are the fire pit and the fireplace. Very cozy! We comfortably seated all 10 of us at the dining room table, important at Thanksgiving. Downside: long driveway, difficult to back out, with limited parking. Some appliances are a little tired, but everything works. Quiet location, a short drive to grocery stores and restaurants. Lovely view of the water. Lots of birds for birdwatching.

Great for family gathering
My family and I had a wonderful stay at Shelley's place. We were a large group of 11 , including small children. The house was very comfortable and spacious and safe, well equipped and a wonderful view. Very peaceful and welcoming. Many amenities within 10 minute drive, including parks and playgrounds for children, restaurants, and grocery stores. Shelley was very responsive and great to work with. Would recommend this home.

beautiful property right on Magothy River
A group of friends and me were delighted to pull up to the picturesque setting of this home. The inside continued to impress with its airy and comfy atmosphere . There are numerous kitchen items for your use. There were 8 of us, and lots of beds/rooms for us to spread out. It’s nice to have the beds made up ahead of time and towels provided.We especially enjoyed the views from the back of the house, and the screened-in porch which stretches across the whole width of the house. There were plenty of comfy chairs on the back porch, and a picnic table ideal for meals over-looking the water. We also liked that the dining room table was large enough for all to gather for meals, and/or games.
There was ample parking. The driveway was quite a problem to navigate. It’s curvy, narrow, and long. The worst thing about the driveway, however, was there were no lights, which made it extremely difficult to back out.

Great house and location for family vacation
Shelly’s house is wonderful. We had 8 people and a baby for the boat show weekend. We were able to put my 92 yr old Dad in the first floor master so he didn’t have to go up and down the stairs, and there was plenty of room upstairs for the rest of us.
The house was super clean and had a pretty well equipped kitchen. Lots of dishes and glasses and a huge dining table. The view and outside was fantastic. Had a nice fire and roasted marshmallows
It’s a little tricky to get the right driveway, so glad we got in during daylight hours. But I highly recommend renting this house - everything was great!!
