We came with friends and enjoyed every moment of it. We had some AC issues but they got fixed the same day. We were able to have 6 people out on the water with the provided water crafts and the sunset and sunrise from the water/porch is just breathtaking. You are right on the water so there is no obstructions. We recommend bringing bug spray, as there are lots of mosquitos at night, but I that was expected. We only had 2 trash bags and 1 roll of paper towels and 1 roll of toilet paper per bathroom, so if you are there for 5 days like us with a lot of people bring extra of that stuff. Highly recommend the fudge at the end of the road and checking out Connors store down the road who has everything you would need.

Jim was awesome to work with. Views and privacy really made the stay. Beautiful sunsets and great boat/ water access. Love that it’s dog friendly. Pups certainly loved it!

We absolutely loved our stay and the owner was fabulous. The bottom floor is just a gigantic master suite with king bed and jacuzzi tub with private porch and hammock. Theres also a little doggy fenced in area right off the porch which makes it super easy to just open the door and let dogs out to potty. The 2nd floor has the rest of the bedrooms, 2 baths, kitchen, livingroom, hot tub deck, screened in porch and laundry. There are steps that lead right down into the water, making it easy for those even with mobility issues able to enjoy the sound. The use of the kayaks and paddle board made this trip even more special, as we had teens with us that used them daily. Snorkling in the backyard was awesome. Fishing spot was great but didn't catch a lot of big fish, but the water that week was just hot (the water temp was 88) Still managed to catch some croaker, spots, shad, pin fish. The yard is big, and we even played a few rounds of wiffle ball. The teens enjoyed evening strolls down to Scotch Bonnet to grab fudge and goodies. Overall just a fantastic place and we would be thrilled to come back to this house!

The pictures don't do it justice! So peaceful, great water views from wherever you are, good fishing, the best sunset views, sweet coffee bar, and very helpful management just a quick call away. Outstanding!! Highly recommend.

My husband loves this home, he is an avid fisherman and loves the dock right on the sound. The granddaughters loved paddle boarding and kayaking. The house was plenty spacious for all 9 of us. We will definitely be coming back!

This house was the perfect place for a relaxing OBX getaway. Spacious and welcoming, all the little details taken care of for you. With four well appointed bedrooms and three bathrooms, it’s a great place for larger groups, too. James was attentive to any needs we had during our stay. We’d definitely stay here again.

We had a great stay. We came about a week or two before the season started for most businesses but we brought a couple kayaks and borrowed a couple from the house. That was enough for our family to paddle around in the sound. Weather was brisk and windy at times, but we could enjoy the view while playing games inside. Our dogs enjoyed hanging around on the deck. All in all, great time. One thing we would tell other renters is to be prepared that there is no tp or hand soap when you arrive, so if you come in from a long drive like we did, have a roll of tp with you upon arrival. Our boys liked fishing off the dock, and we could supervise from the comfortable deck. We cook a lot, so we were in the kitchen quite a bit. I'd say my favorite part was sitting on the screened porch watching the sun go down every evening. Easy market access at Conner's or Dollar General in Buxton. We found great shells walking on the beaches around Hatteras.

It was our first time staying in this area of the outer banks and we couldn't have picked a better home to stay in. The decks were wonderful for viewing the sunsets. It was really nice having both the open decking and the screened in areas of each deck.

Beautiful property with an amazing view of the water! We enjoyed our stay but the house could use a deep clean. Rug in living room smelled of pet urine and couches need cleaned from pet stains. Overall a beautiful property!

Very nice place we had lots of winds which resulted in damages to dock on first day but owners we nice and was able to gather all his belongings that were wash away but couldn't use the dock because it was gone boards in road from one end to other had clear road to get in was no one's fault but put a damper on our vacation but not anyone's fault but loved location and wouldn't hesitate to rent it again

This was our 4th year staying at this property and as always it did not disappoint! Clean, stocked with necessities, great communication, easy check-in and check-out, and the location!! Easily our favorite part. With two young children it’s so nice to have something to keep them entertained on non-beach days. From fishing, swimming off the dock, and looking for hermit crabs, they stayed busy! We look forward to our stay here every year!!

The location can't be beat. And, the house has the best hot tub I've ever been in and a hammock to take naps in. And that wonderful dock to fish off of! Having a king size bed on the lower level was great too! We would stay here again.

We love Still Flying Free. This home is in a great location and is very private. The home has plenty of space for all. Furniture is comfortable and the kitchen is well equipped. The decks on both levels offer unobstructed views of the Pamlico sound with spectacular sunsets. Sound access so easy for pets and and if you have children and is just steps from the house. There are kayaks which is a nice treat instead of having to rent them. It's the type of property that if you don't go to the beach you can enjoy being home, enjoying the scenery, fishing, playing in the sound for the day. The property is dog friendly. While it doesn't have a fence it is located at the end of a dead end street and is pretty far off 12. The owner is very nice. The property manager is wonderful and we enjoy spending time with him when we visit the area. We always enjoy our stay here and it is hard to leave. You won't be disappointed renting this property.

My family (4 adults, including myself, and 3 children (13, 10 and 7 year olds) had a wonderful week! The accommodations were spacious and wonderful, although a few things were a bit tired and need replacement, and there were a few cleaning crew issues. But overall these things did not impact our vacation and the property manager, Jim, was immediately responsive. The availability of the kayaks was phenomenal and we enjoyed their use immensely! The setting was extremely peaceful, beautiful and relaxing. We loved the hammock and my grandson and son in law totally enjoyed fishing off the docks! We definitely would love to return to this wonderful location and home.
