About this cabin rental
This cozy, quiet, and private, 1 bedroom, 1 bath cabin with a sleeping loft, is nestled in the woods. A short walk down to Shark Reef Sanctuary offers one of the most beautiful sunsets in the world. Deer, rabbits, otters and eagles live on the property. The cabin is less than 1 mile from the golf course in one direction, and Shark Reef Park is less than a mile in the other direction. Lopez island is a favorite for bike riders, beachcombers and kayakers. Enjoy amazing hikes, the Saturday Farmers Market, Lopez Island Thrift store, Horse Drawn Farms produce, meats and flower stand and the Take it or Leave it, free store at the dump.
The cabin sleeps 4 comfortably, especially if two of the four are children, but can accommodate more if you don't mind being extra close and paying an extra charge. The sleeping loft is less than 4ft high, so keep that in mind. This cabin is like a tiny home so be prepared to be close.
It has a fully stocked kitchen with a gas range and full size refrigerator, it does not have a dishwasher. There is a small yard, a deck with a propane fire table and a BBQ. A favorite place for guests is the private outdoor hot tub. The yard is not watered in the summer as is common on Lopez. We have a finite amount of water and conserve where possible.
The cabin has free wi-fi, DVD players and two TVs hooked up to Amazon Firesticks. Movies can be rented in the village and there is a small collection at the cabin. There is no washer or dryer, however there is a laundromat outside of the village. Although we provide towels and linens we ask that you bring your own beach towels. The cabin is equipped with ceiling fans, air conditioning and a new heat pump. Pets are welcome if you agree to the rules on the pet addendum. Please download it, read it and forward it back to us.
We are serious on Lopez about sustainability. Anything that comes on to the island must go off. This especially includes garbage. In order to create as little waste as possible, a recycling bucket and a compost container have been provided. Information on recycling and composting can be found in the welcome notebook once you arrive.
If you find any problems with the cabin please let us know right away so we can address it immediately. We truly want your experience to be a pleasant one. The address listed is how you will find the cabin. The actual address is 51 Micah Lane. The cabin has a 51 on the siding, and two parking spots right in front.

We loved our stay. It was quiet, secluded, and the host responded when we had a question. We liked the hot tub and the seclusion the best. Good hot water, good beds. It had all the things. The only thing is I would say please write more specific instructions about how to operate the TV/TV remotes. It was a learning curve. We appreciate you sharing your home. Thank you!

Loved our stay on Lopez and this adorable and well appointed cottage. I loved the location near Shark Reef park - and really liked being tucked away 10 mins from town instead of right in town. It made for quiet and restorative evenings.
Additionally, Lorry was super responsive and friendly as we texted during the weekend. I’ll be back for sure!

We loved the cabin the moment we arrived. It was surrounded by the pine trees, on a quiet street, only a few minutes walk from shark reef.
Our 13 year old got a big kick out of the cute upstairs bedroom.
It was lovely to sit anywhere inside and outside the house. Very shaded and quiet. And the morning walk along the quiet street and the farms were so nice.

Feels like camping in the woods. Hot tub and propane fire pit awesome! A little smaller than I anticipated. Loft is only 4ft high which was a little too tight a space for my 6’4” husband. Main bed extremely comfy. Loved bike riding on the island.

Nice cozy cabin in the woods convenient to all parts of the island.

We had a great stay at this cabin. Perfect location for a sunset walk to shark reef park. Cabin is just as described. Comfortably slept our family of 3. Our son loved the loft! Kitchen is small, but well stocked and we enjoyed fixing breakfast and some of our meals at the cabin. Cabin has great windows in the living area and a beautiful location tucked in the trees, very quiet. Wonderful place to come back to after being out exploring the island.

Private, cozy and quaint. Clean with nice amenities. We enjoyed the fire pit and hot tub in addition to close access to many hikes with gorgeous coastline views.

Our stay was perfect in every way. The owners provided kind, prompt, welcoming communication, an absolutely lovely, quiet and peaceful location, exceptionally clean and comfortable cabin. We loved our time on the island and hope to be back soon.

We were very happy with the cabin and the tucked in location with privacy and within walking distance to Shark Reef. The hot tub was an added bonus and the weather stayed perfect for enjoying it under the evening sky. It was a lovely place with all the necessary accommodations and we look forward to visiting again.

Quaint, quiet, secluded, and peaceful... The
perfect place to unplug and enjoy the relaxed pace of "island time". Soaking in the private hot tub under the stars is absolutely amazing! We always travel with our dog, Penny. It's often difficult to find places that accept pets; so, this cabin is a true gem!
Lorry is a great host who truly wants you to enjoy your stay. We loved it so much that we booked it again for my birthday. M&B

Perfect accommodations for a holiday weekend while visiting family! Clean and cozy!

This is a sweet little cabin in the woods, it was exactly what I was looking for. We had one housekeeping issue that Lorry took care of immediately. She was very responsive and gracious. There is a musty odor upon walking in but with open windows and fresh air, it cleared out for the most part. The hot tub was a lovely, private treat and the walk to Shark Reef was remarkable!

We enjoyed a wonderful Thanksgiving in this property. The kitchen was more than capable to cook an entire Thanksgiving dinner and was indeed fully equipped. While small, the property is conveniently located and well maintained. Would happily return.

Nice location. Nice hot tub at the end of a day exploring.

Cozy cabin in the woods. It was a perfect getaway. Great location by the Shark Reef. On our morning walk we saw orcas and seals. We'll stay here again.

Dated decor. Smelled like dog...other "old home" smells, picture on website with water in it lead me to think it would be closer to water than it was....very private, hot tub was a plus, overall, goodish.

My family of 4 stayed in this cabin for 3 nights while on Lopez Island. We loved how remote it felt and how easy it was to access the nearby nature trails of Shark Reef. The island overall is small and easily accessible by car, biking can be good as well but be prepared for hills throughout the island. The home itself is rustic but decently appointed. The upstairs is comically short, even the kids couldn't stand fully, and a full grown adult has difficulty getting around. The downstairs bedroom and bathroom are tight quarters but generally work well. We enjoyed our time on the island and in this tiny home.

Great getaway for mom and 2 adult kiddos. The cabin is lovely, nestled in the woods and easy drive to everything on the Island. Well-stocked with everything you need; the hot tub was great and the hostess responded immediately to our questions. Don't overlook this one - it was perfect!

Fun to have a place for family , including dog and an 8 month old. Nice amenities- hot tub, yard, etc. we’ll stocked kitchen. Upstairs room is a bit of a challenge due to low ceiling, would be great for little ones. Great location within walking distance of Shark Reef.

My husband and I were looking a peaceful, quiet getaway where we could just pack up on our bikes and go. This was the perfect location!! It was so quiet. The hot tub was perfect for the end of a long day of riding. We got to really just enjoy being together. We had the best time. Thank you!

The cabin was exactly as advertised. Clean, cozy and private, the cabin was perfect for our five days on Lopez Island. It was very quiet out near the Shark Reef Sanctuary! Wonderful location away from the village, close to the Center Church. Next stay we'll make use of the well-maintained hot tub on the back deck of the cabin.

Fantastic stay on Lopez Island at this cute little cabin in the woods! Perfect location right next to Shark Reef (best sunsets on the Island) and close to the Village for all your needs. Would definitely recommend and stay here again! :)

The cabin is a clean, charming, thoughtful space, well-built, well-maintained, cozy and complete - with hot tub! Every evening we took advantage of the ten minute walk to stunning sunsets at Shark Reef Ridge, every night we soaked in the hot tub under the stars, every day we picked a new park or two to explore. The guest book is full of previous visitors’ happy memories, and some good suggestions of what to see and do. We saw a lot of birds on the property, spent the mornings watching and listening to them before heading off to explore. Hosts are helpful and quick to respond to any inquiries.

good location. thank you.

We had a great time hanging out in the cabin and hot tub. It was perfect for a getaway from the stresses in our daily lives.

We spent 3 nights here for our 10 year anniversary and loved every minute! This home is on a private lot just a short drive to many trails and downtown. Comfortably decorated and loaded with everything you might need, just bring your clothes and food to cook in the fully stocked kitchen. There is even a charcoal grill! The hot tub was perfect for relaxing in after a day of hiking. The yard is nice for sitting and enjoying all the birds. We could even hear the sea lions near Shark Reef Sanctuary which is just a short walk away and the perfect place to watch the sunset. The host Lorry was easy to get ahold of and very friendly. I hope to be able to come back and stay at this home again! Thank you for helping make this the best getaway we have ever had!

Loved our stay here! We are two adults and were pleasantly surprised that the cabin feels bigger than it looks in the photos. You could certainly sleep more people here but the living area and bathroom would be crowded. Kids would love the little loft! The hot tub worked well and was easy to use and check in/out could not have been more simple. We especially appreciated that check out isn't until noon! The location is relatively far (still only about a 10-15 minute drive) from the main bay with the shops so definitely choose it if you're looking for some peace and quiet! There are several produce stands nearby and there is a map of all the produce stands on the island in the cabin's welcome book. It is about a ten minute walk to Shark Reef, which is a beautiful place to watch the sunset. We were not lucky enough to see any whales, but we were told by someone in town that evenings at Shark Reef are some of the best whale watching on the island. Another note about Lopez is there is not much action outside of the main summer months and during the week. Our visit was a Monday-Wednesday in mid September and most things were shut down (bike rentals, shops, produce stands). Still a beautiful place, but be prepared to be left to your own devices in the off season.
TLDR: this is a lovely, quiet, cozy cabin that was a comfortable place to look forward to come home to, but compact enough to make you want to get out and explore the beautiful island! Would absolutely stay here again.

We had a very nice stay on Lopez Island at this very nice cabin. Although the cabin is small and rustic easily minor family's needs. The island is absolutely gorgeous and we spent most of her time exploring nature.
4.6
Quiet anniversary getaway in a cozy cabin away from town. Comfortable and clean. Owners responded quickly to questions. Spotty cell service area but Wi-Fi on premises was helpful.
4.6
Tiny home that was perfect for our family of four. We ate, slept, and hot-tubbed at this location during the evenings and were close enough to everything to explore during the daytime.
4.6
Pictures never fully capture the true essence of the house. It was a nice tiny house with all the amenities you would need. The upstairs loft is meant for someone four ft. or less. There is not a lot of space for extras if you have booked for a longer stay. The main bedroom is very cozy. The instant hot water tank for the bathroom was a great idea. Never ran out even with four adults. The travel logistics for inter-island travel is a little tricky so pay close attention to the WSF schedules and costs. It is a great place to stay when you plan ahead.

A great little cabin
We had a great stay at this cute cabin. Our group was four friends and while the space is small it was very comfortable and there were ample places for us all to sleep. We especially enjoyed the hot tub! The kitchen facilities were great for cooking meals and the fire pit and grill were awesome to have for a summer evening. The property is at an excellent location right next to a nature preserve with walking trails and beautiful views of San Juan Island. While the location was convenient it also feels nice and private. The hosts are friendly and responsive, we would definitely come back!

Great Location
We liked the location on the island, just a 10 minute walk to Shark Reef. It was very peaceful - birds our only neighbors.
4.6
The property and accommodations were just what we were looking for. The owners were great with communication. They even loaned us an extension cord we needed. Very secluded. We never really saw anyone.
4.6
The little house is on wooded property with nobody around. The inside is cozy and big enough for three people. The upstairs is designed for short people and I mean kids when I say this. The ceiling is only about 4 feet high but the room is still cozy and set up for a small person.
There is a futon in the main living room area but it's not comfortable enough to sleep on.
The only thing we were disappointed in was not having a view of the water. The pictures make it look like there is a view and there is not. The advertisement does not say there is a view so that is on us for thinking so.
We enjoyed the quiet stay surrounded by nature and windows!
We highly recommend this little place.

Relaxing and peaceful, easy to get to places to explore
4.6
The property is a very quiet and secluded cabin. Surrounded by trees, you really feel at ease on the land. The private gravel road it is on sees very little traffic, which gives it a safe feeling. The dogs were able to free roam and not worry about cars, and the gravel road provided a good spot to play fetch. No cell service but wifi worked for communications if desired. Overall great little cabin to escape to and have as a home base to explore Lopez.
