About this house rental
My beach cottage is waiting for you to just relax and enjoy the ambiance of old Florida. Completely renovated and beautifully decorated with a retro Florida and beach feel. The entire home has large porcelain floor tile, for ease of sand clean-up and to accommodate any pets. Many throw rugs have been added for your comfort. Large Master bathroom features a large glass shower enclosure and Bombay chest vanity. Full separate Laundry room off the master bath under air. Romantic master bedroom with luxurious linens on a queen iron bed beside french doors that leads to a Paver patio with pergola in a privately fenced yard. Both bedrooms have a mounted flat screen cable TV. The second bedroom also has a queen iron bed with beachy colors and white beadboard walls, with a larger closet to store your things. The hallway bathroom features a pottery barn look with white subway tile, tub and shower and all new vanity, cubbies with baskets, fresh fluffy towels. Large mosaic mirror with lighting in hallway for additional vanity room. Lots of wall hooks for drying damp towels and swim suits. The dining/den area has an exterior door that leads to the side &/or back patio. This room also has a large buffet unit that was custom built to become a twin size Murphy bed. A clock radio with CD player and a small hutch for holding card games and beverage mixers is available. A bar height table and chairs (seats 2-4) are also in this room. The living room has a queen size pull out sofa and also has a large flat screen HDTV and DVD player. We also have books and DVDs available in the living room area for an occasional rainy day. The kitchen is all new with stainless steel appliances, granite countertops and a Kuerig coffee maker. Large breakfast bar that seats four. WIFI is available for your laptop or smart phone and an alarm system has been installed on the property.

We had a wonderful month-long stay at Tim's beach bungalow in Ormond-by-the-Sea. The location couldn't be better, with the ocean and intercoastal just a short walk away in either direction. The house is small but was well thought out and had everything we needed. The fenced in backyard was a huge plus for our pup. The neighbors are very friendly. We loved visiting Surfin' Scoops ice cream and the dog park just down the road in the evenings. We would love to come back again next summer!

Just some issues light doesn't work outside couldn't see taking dogs out. Fence needs repair or a new one too many openings my dogs could get out lights on porch didn't work and furniture was green had to clean. Just small things . But everything inside was great and we had a nice time would love to stay there again.

Great Short Term Stay
We relocated from MD and used this cottage as a temporary home while we searched for a permanent home. The house was beautiful. Proximity to the beach was awesome. Neighborhood was super friendly. Can't say enough about this home and its owners. All top notch.

Very clean, well maintained and decorated house! A perfect home away from home. The neighborhood is safe and friendly and walk to beach very easy. Beach quiet, but if you wanted more activity it was just a short beach walk to more populated area by park. Communication with owner was outstanding and friendly.

Fantastic stay
Still a fantastic stay. It was our second stay in the property and we were delighted again.... sadly we had to shorten our stay due to COVID-19.

A quiet area near the beach
Location of property within walking distance of a less crowded beach. Short distance from park, bathing area with lifeguard, church, restaurants and still so much calmer than Daytona Beach. The house is perfect for two. It had all the amenities and the beds were comfortable. The caretaker, Tim, was a delightful and very helpful after Hurricane Dorian when the internet access went out.

We had a great time with great weather during our entire stay. It was very
comfortable and we wouldn't hesitate to stay there again. This was the third time we rented in Florida and was the best home we stayed at. Tim the caretaker was always available if there were any problems. It was great to have two bathrooms and a yard with actual grass and fenced in for our dog

Fantastic stay at the adorable Surf Side Cottage
Very nice and clean cottage at a 4 minutes walking distance from the beach. Every appliances functional and spotless.
Very well maintened front and back lawns.
And, most of all, a person , working for the owner , close to the site to give a prompt response to any inconvenience we could encounter during a long stay of 4 months like we enjoyed this last winter ...

Lovely Beach Home
Conveniently located this charming beach home was our home away from home. It had everything we needed. Plenty of dishes and cooking items. Within walking distance of the beach. --Even bikes were provided in addition to beach chairs, umbrellas, etc. Tim and Connie thank you so much for a wonderful stay. And Tim, the caretaker, was very helpful.

Nice Cozy Cottage
We very much liked the cottage and the amenities there. It had everything we needed to make our month-long stay comfortable and relaxed with nice furnishings and surroundings. Other than food, we didn’t need to buy a thing! It’s a short walk to the beach and everything you need for your treks there. The beds were super-comfy and the master shower was great. We didn’t lack a thing! I would happily revisit this cute little cottage. Thanks to the caretaker for his attentiveness too!

The neighborhood is quiet and close to the beach... the perfect spot for a quick getaway.
Our stay here was fantastic. The home was exactly what we were looking for. The owner even called us to give us additional information to make sure our stay was complete. I would highly recommend this location to anyone.

Cute and Fantastic Location!
This mini vacation was a gift from my sister and I's boss. We love Ormond Beach, but we haven't had a chance to experience it like this. When we arrived, I immediately noticed how peaceful and friendly the neighborhood is. Our pups were anxious to explore, too. We called Tim D. (there are a few Tim's. Haha) to be let in and learn the ins and outs of the cottage like the auto-locking door secret. The beach decor fits the cottage perfectly and sets the tone for the vacation. You enter right into the full size kitchen, which was stocked enough to get started. Tim D. told us he built the buffet/Murphy bed, which we found creative, and my sister used it for our stay and thought it was comfortable (she's 5'4" for reference). The master bedroom is ultra comfortable (the mattress is like a hug). I love the French doors that lead out directly to the patio. The backyard was a huge reason why I chose to book this cottage. The fencing off to the left did make me nervous with our small dogs due to gaps, but they loved running freely (which we don't have a yard at home). Other highlights include the washer & dryer, which was fantastic to conquer any sweaty or ocean-sprayed clothing, private dock access to the river (sunsets are worth it), and a private beach access path across A1A (it's sea turtle time, but we brought our pups to Flagler 'n kept them out of trouble). We ate dinner at the highly recommended Betty's (portion size wasn't much, but the flavor was yummy) and enjoyed Peach Valley Cafe near Grenada for breakfast (lemon berry pancakes!). I recommend signing up for Plenti and getting good deals on groceries at Winn Dixie instead of Publix. I also recommend checking out St. Augustine if you are interested in history, shopping, restaurants, breweries, cafes and more. It was worth the hour drive north on the A1A. There were pet-friendly patio dining and shops. Parking was a flat rate of $12 in the visitor center garage. Overall, I had a great time in this cottage. It was very very clean, well-stocked, and great for a couple or a small family to bond and create memories. It was in the perfect location for all sorts of activities for a great rate each night. You should stay here as soon as possible.

Home away from home !!
February 2016. Surfside cottage really adorable !! This is exactly the type of lodging my husband and I love. Clean and bright, confortable, everything you could need and more, When you travel, you always forget certain things. Riding our bikes along the ocean was absolutely great, no traffic, just pure joy !! Walkng distance to the beach and on quiet nights, you can hear the waves. All services are close, shopping, good restaurants. Nice landlord, very helpful. Thank you The Cook family and Tim (landlord)

Very nice Getaway Home
We arrived as scheduled and was met by Tim and his wife. Two very nice people. The house was very clean and well kept. Tim showed us everything and more. The Neighborhood was very nice and all the neighbors we met were very friendly. We unpacked and took the very short walk to the beach. This was the first time the two children (7 and 5) ever saw the beach. They were amazed!!. We all rode the Beach Cruisers that were at the house. The back yard was amazing we ate dinner on the back patio and the girls played ball in the yard.
Tim came by and checked on us. Man ! he was also amazing. We took the short drive to Ormond Beach and Daytona Beach. The whole family really enjoyed the day at Daytona Lagoon. The girls are already asking about staying at the house again Next Year and We assured them that we would. A very big Thanks to Tim and his Wife and the Owners. SEE YALL NEXT YEAR!!!!!

Comfortable,Clean and Cute
We really loved this house, the yard, the neighbors and the close proximity to the ocean.
Our first vacation since my husbands retirement and we feel so fortunate to be in such a lovely spot. We walked into a wonderful house, so comfortable and clean. Since I was new at rental vacation properties I was delighted. The appliances were newer, the beds very comfortable and the bathrooms were almost new. A Laundry room was a feature we also found to be a bonus. The house is decorated wonderfully and just about everything you could need was there. We would certainly recommend this rental, and hope it will be available for us next year.

Look no further, this is the perfect vacation house!
We just returned from our week of vacation in Ormond-by-the-Sea and wish that we could have stayed here forever! We're not into the crowded, developed and commercial beach towns like Daytona and we looking for a quiet and relaxing beach getaway. We certainly found it with this rental! The house was beautifully decorated and had everything that you could possible need and more. The fenced in yard was lovely, we ate most meals outside on the patio and we even made a pie with fresh figs from the fig tree! Our beagle enjoyed it as well, he also enjoyed the lovely walks through the charming and quiet neighborhood every day. All of the neighbors were friendly and nice. Beach chairs, an umbrella and towels were provided, so we walked down the street every day to the beach which was incredibly beautiful, very few people there. We cooked most meals at home and got everything at the Publix just down the road, very convenient. Enjoyed the satellite tv on the few rainy afternoons and also went down to Ormond Beach to play mini-golf and go to the movies one day. Probably one of the most relaxing and enjoyable vacations we've ever had and we will definitely be back. If you don't rent this house, you are missing out!

Very nice!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. It was very close to beach and close to where family lived. Quiet street/neighbors. Nicely and comfortably furnished. Found the owners and caretaker to be very pleasant and helpful. And there was a fenced backyard for the pooch to run around in. All around, it was exactly what we needed.
