Escape to the pine-scented mountains of New Mexico and stay in Alto Chalet, a beautiful mountain home not far from downtown Ruidoso and the lake. The first things you’ll notice when you walk through the front door are the soaring windows bringing nature’s beauty indoors for all to enjoy. Vaulted ceilings with sturdy wood beams give the home an elegance and appeal rarely found in a mountain home. An added benefit is the multi-car garage you can use at Alto Chalet. If you come in winter, this garage will be a big plus for you and your guests.
Your main floor is designed on an open concept that keeps everyone connected whether in the kitchen preparing snacks, dining, or sitting by a crackling fire in the fireplace. Your Alto Chalet living room features a flat-screen TV with cable and a DVD player. When you’re not out hiking in Lincoln National Forest, skiing at Ski Apache resort, or fishing, you may want to pop in a favorite movie and munch on some popcorn for an evening.
There is also free Wi-Fi within Alto Chalet so you can post photos to social media, book golf tee times, and check out menus for area restaurants online.
Your Alto Chalet deck is a great place to sit and relax in the mountain air. You also have a hot tub where you and your guests can soak until all stress leaves your body. There’s also a gas grill out on the deck where you can grill up some steaks or burgers for your hungry gang. Mountain air tends to make everyone ravenous, so come prepared for big appetites.

We had an overall great trip. The house is big and comfortable. The only problem was THE LACK OF HOT WATER FOR BATHS.

the property smells strange, the furniture is very old, the TVs are very old the fireplace does not work They charge you a clean fee but you have to throw out the trash, leave the dishes cleaning, clean the refrigerator, if they don't charge you extras I do not recommend it the only good thing was the communication with the lanlord

Good location and beatiful views

Management staff was great, property was as described and everyday we got to feed the deers that would just come to the porch. The only setback was a smell coming from under the kitchen sink, it smell like skunk. Everytime we entered the property it had this smell. We sprayed some glade and it went away. Other than that everything was perfect.

This would be a very nice property if it was maintained properly and small improvements made to the home. The owners need to be forthcoming and let potential renters know that the water is not filtered. The house smells like sulfur water. Dirt came out of the bathtub faucet and took awhile to clear. Ants and bugs were in the upstairs master bathtub.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The House was very nice with tall ceiling and large windows. It was neat and clean. The beds were comfortable. The kitchen had all the utensils we needed. The hot tub worked well. The water to take a shower was hot. There was no mountain or valley view, but we knew that going in. The A/C was a little weak. Overall it was a pleasant stay. And above all the Condotel people went above and beyond for Customer Satisfaction. I have lost count how many times we have stayed with Condotel. Ricker, Cindy, Jiovani, excellant as usual.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The cabin was pretty had a lot of handy features like the fridge, microwave, and multiple bathrooms. The only thing I would suggest is that someone go and turn on the hot water before you have guests if it hasn't been rented out in a while because the water stunk like sewer water. There were also a lot of dead flies on the carpet that could have been vacuumed out before our arrival, but other than that we had a great time!

I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The house is roomy, kitchen needs updating, and we Had bats flying around inside the house at night! I had to tell the emergency man what to do to get Rid of the bats, he didn't act too concerned. Other than that great location!
