Great space for our family to spread out and have our own privacy. Easy walk to the resort shops. Having access to the property's beach parking was great and the kids loved being at the pool. It was helpful to have a vehicle to drive to different locations. The townhome area was clean and quiet. Perfect for a chill vacation.

This was a beautiful home with a great location. It was even better than it looked in the pictures. Very well stocked kitchen with all the cooking appliances you could want, even had spices and other cooking items. Beautiful outdoor patio for grilling, spacious and open living room and kitchen area, and large bedrooms. Each bedroom has a full attached bathroom, plus an extra 1/2 bath downstairs. Access to beach club was fantastic - plan a dinner there at sunset and you won't be disappointed. beach toys, boogie boards, chairs, etc in garage were just perfect for the beach. If you head beyond the beach club, be sure to check out Hapuna nearby. Pool with gym access in the neighborhood. Closest shopping center - Shops at Mauna Lani - didn't have a lot of stores open - kind of dead, but did have Tommy Bahama open for dining and a (pricey) grocery store. Shops at Waikoloa aren't far though and have more stores. Overall, great house, very clean and spacious, fantastic communication from the hosts, and easy to check in and out. Would definitely stay here again!

We had a fabulous vacation for Thanksgiving!! The condo is beautiful and very comfortable. It’s a great layout for a family trip. The upstairs room has two full size beds which was great for our teenage sons. The condo is really well stocked and had everything we needed. The location is great and easy walking to The Shops at Mauna Lani. It is also a mile walk to the beach and Mauna Lani hotel. You can rent golf carts at The Shops and it is recommended yo make getting around even easier. We will do that next time. Also close to other beaches and easy to get around to various restaurants. Modern appliances and great amount of seating!! Check in was super easy and again the stay was wonderful. Thanks for such a great time!!

The house is spacious and so central to so many things. We’ve previously stayed in Kona, so appreciated the more quiet atmosphere. We especially loved the access to the Beach Club...the snorkeling was great! Would love to come back and stay longer!

I am happy to give this review as we had a memorable stay at John and Elaine Sasaki’s place in the big Island during our visit to the island this December.
The house is located in a nice gated community with easy access to the community pool, private beach, restaurants, shopping area and grocery stores. World class beaches are just a few mts away. Waikaloa Beach Resort is also only about 5 mts away in car and it has a lot fo good restaurants and a Starbucks !
The house is very clean, spacious, comfortable, well stocked of everything one can think of and most of all very warm and welcoming for families. It has a nice backyard where kids can play around.
We will certainly reach out to John and Elaine the next time we plan a trip to the big island
Highly recommend this place especially for family with kids

This large townhouse in the Villages was super clean and very comfortable for four golfers and one wife. The private beach had great snorkeling, plenty of chaise lounges and a bar/restaurant within a very short walk. The unit has a well-stocked kitchen and great private BBQ and lanai if you care to cook yourself, or you can get great food at Tommy Bahama or Ruth's Chris as both are within easy walking distance, as is a terrific Foodland market. The owners were extremely helpful throughout the booking process and someone met us at check-in. Everything was perfect. Highly recommended.

This property embodies everything we expected when we went to Hawaii. From the moment we walked in until we left, our stay could not have been better. Excellent condition and if it wasn't there, we didn't need it. Loved our stay and hope to return. The owner couldn't have been easier to work with when it came to arrival and departure . We would not hesitate to stay again.

We loved our stay in this home. We spent just over a week here with our two children, 11 and 14, and really couldn't have asked for a better place to stay on the Big Island. The townhome itself is spacious, with three separate suite-like bedrooms and attached full baths (which allows for privacy), plus a very nice, private backyard with an outdoor kitchen, seating area and grassy yard. It's very quiet and comfortable, plus extremely well appointed - you'll find everything from a coffee grinder to avocado oil in the kitchen. There are also boogie boards, beach chairs and beach toys available for guests - it was very nice to not have to rent boogie boards! The Mauna Lani resort is a very special place - we enjoyed walking to the shopping area for groceries, meals, and a weekly hula/drum performance - plus there's a gorgeous private beach where you can snorkel, paddle board and kayak from shore (rental equipment is available at the beach). The shore extends well past the beach and is a beautiful walk - particularly at sunset. We saw several sea turtles resting at dusk. The owners John & Elaine were extremely responsive and helpful. We hope to stay here again!

We had a wonderful few months in this home. It was what I was hoping for in a rental and we received more than we usually do with vacation rentals. The owners were a pleasure to work with and I would certainly recommend this property to anyone looking to be on the Big Island.

We loved our stay at Mauna Lani Villages. This is our 3rd time staying in the Villages and by far our favorite place on the South Kohala coast. Our unit was very nicely decorated, clean, well maintained and private. You can tell very well built with high end appliances and solids doors, beautiful Koa wood and stainless fixtures. We enjoyed our time out on the lanai watching the birds and playing cards. Our children are 13 and 15 and even though we had three bedrooms they shared a room as there were 2 full sized beds that they both fit in comfortably. The master suite is out of this world and there is plenty of room for privacy if you bring the grandparents. This unit easily fits a family of 6. We enjoyed the private owners beach club down the road. Snorkling is fabulous there and lunch at the beach club was very affordable. While we were there the surf was fairly high so we enjoyed watching the surfers "hang 10". The pool was nice and quiet and very rarely had more than 2 or 3 people so you had your choice of lounge chairs...either in or out of the water. We had dinner at the Lava Lava Beach club in Waikoloa, Just Tacos in Mauna Lani Shops and enjoyed the free Monday night Hula and fire show offered at the Mauna Lani shops. Mauna Lani is always the driest and sunniest spot on the island. This trip we were so into the groove that we didnt venture out, but did go over to Hapuna for boogie boarding. Mauna Lani is central for traveling around to Hilo or down to Kona. Dont miss the volcano and the lava tube walk or Akaka Falls I also recommend Waipio Valley for a great horse back ride and Original Hawaiian Chocolate south of Kona for a pod to bar experience, the Zoo in Hilo is quaint and a fun jaunt for the kids...all fabulous. Please come stay here. You wont be disappointed. I would reccomend John and Elaine get a guest book tho as it is always nice to leave a memory and see who has stayed and where from.Thought about this when I was flying home otherwise I would have left one. We look forward to our stay next year. Aloha from Seattle!
