The house had everything we needed, great location, clean & comfortable. The house needs some maintenance repair. The kitchen sink developed a leak while we were there. The host responded right away and had maintenance team promptly fix it. The short comings of the house are mostly cosmetic - nothing that prohibited us from having a great time. The bed/bath options were perfect for our family group. We woud choose this property again.

Overall, our stay was good. Good location and great value for Kiawah Island house. Property owner, maintenance and housekeeping were very responsive to any of our issues. Property showing some age but still great value for size of house and people it can accommodate. Most issues reported were fixed quickly with exception of clothes washer. All in all, me and my family enjoyed our week on Kiawah, as always.

Good to be just a short walk from the beach. We also really enjoyed having access to the resort pools - those were great fun. Kiawah is such a special place - great to have a wonderful family vacation there!

Great location. Incredible host and accommodations. House was clean and convenient to everything.

Great house! Clean and just what we needed. House could use some updating but when you spend a majority of the time on the beach it works just fine!

Enjoyed a wonderful weekend with family at this lovely home. The location was perfect, close enough to walk or bike to beach, or the night Heron Park. Kiawah Island is a beautiful, peaceful place.

Enjoyed the beach!
Access to the resort amenties is a huge plus!

My family and I had a wonderful time at this property. It’s very close to the beach and quiet. We would stay here again! It did need some cleaning when we got there, but it wasn’t anything too major.

Great house for a large family with kids and a perfect location as its easy to walk to the beach and bike anywhere on the island. The home needs from new furniture and same updating, but the host indicated that its being done in the fall and can't wait to see what they add.

The house is literally 2 blocks from beach. Great culdisac for kids to play. House was just as we expected. Had minor inconveniences that we delt with. Owner was very accessible to comuunixtae with and attempted to take care of issues. We have already booked the house for next summer.

We had a family gathering which consisted of 6 adults and 4 children (all under 10yrs). The house suited us well with three bedrooms for the adults and one for the kids (bunkbeds+single&queen). The house has an open environment which accommodated our indoor activities. The location is a 5 minute walk to beach access #12 and a short ride via a bike path to Night Heron Park. Greg, the owner, participates in the Kiawah Island Resort program which allows access to the Night Heron Park pool (and other resort facilities) along with a 15% discount for restaurants, golf, and other resort programs. Greg is easy to reach and responses to email inquiries (prior to and when there) were typically less than two hours which was very much appreciated. He offered options for bike rentals and activities on the island to help with our planning. Would stay there again.

My husband and I and our son, daughter-in-law and 2 grandsons (ages 13 and 15 yrs old) attended a wedding and stayed a bit longer to vacation. All I can say is our experience with the house itself and the location and all communications with the owner was pure perfection!!! I LOVED every part of the house. Beautiful, clean, open, and airy with LOTS of space for everyone. And there was no need to buy any paper products, coffee, or detergent etc with plenty of towels and a resort housekeeping number to call if needed anything. Very short walk down the street to the beach - wonderful with waves!! And everyone loved being able to bike on the beach!! Because this house had resort privileges we could use the Night Heron pool - heated (only a half mile away). There was an attached water park. It was a short bike ride on a bike path through the woods. And at the pool is The Nest Cafe and Market and Night Heron Grill. Food was great! (We reserved bikes through Seaside Cycles who dropped the bikes off the day we arrived and picked them up the day we left). We will have to revisit as we only saw only a small part of Kiawah Island and its only 10 miles long!! All 6 of us had THE most incredible experience during our stay!! Thank you Greg!! From our very first contact, I so appreciated that you were SO warm, open, inviting and readily available for any questions or help!

A group of four of us meet once a year to reassure ourselves that our decisions to not become professional golfers were in fact sound ones. This year we stayed at a house on Kiawah island with easy access to several beautiful courses including the famous "Ocean" course.
The house was a great match for our purposes. Each golfer had a separate bedroom and we had access to a well-equipped kitchen.
When some minor issues arose, the owner was easily reachable and provided a quick response.

great location, steps to the beach! great for large groups. The house did need alot of attention at the cleanliness. There were multiple areas of the house that need attention like the faucet in the kitchen is leaking. There were items left in the bedrooms from a previous stay (used napkins, socks, etc.). There was not enough towels provided for the amount of people sleeping in the house.

The layout of the house worked well for our family of 8. We were optimistic when we saw the kitchen appliances but were disappointed when we had to prepare meals. The pots and pans were in bad shape, flatware and utensils were limited (only 6 teaspoons?!), and yes, there is a lobster pot, but I'd find a pasta pot much more helpful. We had to be careful when washing dishes and prepping food because the caulk around the kitchen sink was covered with black mildew. In the large living room are one loveseat, one slightly larger loveseat (I'm 5'5" and could not lay down fully), and 2 straight-back wingback chairs. We had some bad weather and discovered how uncomfortable the furniture was. Some had to sit on the floor because there wasn't enough seating for everyone. The owner was quick to respond when I told him that the grill igniter didn't work.
We loved the extra beverage refrigerator, screened porch, access to Night Heron Park, and close proximity to the beach. Overall, it is a great house but needs some TLC.

We had a great time staying at Greg's property. I will say the 2nd time around the house wasn't as clean as it was the first time. But either way we had a great time and Greg is great about responding to any needs we had.

Loved the location! We had more than enough room, the house is great. Fast responses from the owner. No problems at all. Thank you for letting us stay.

House was a good choice overall for our grandkids because it was short walk or bike ride to the beach and included Kiawah Resort pool/shuttle amenities!

VRBO advertised this house as a 4 BR and 4.5 bath. It was only 3.5 bath. That mattered!
The house was not clean: Hair on the bathroom floors. Kitchen floor appeared to not be mopped and cleaned.
The house is very dated: Air vents were rusty and dirty. Furniture was old and very used. Kitchen was ill-equipped.
Other: The sheets did not fit the beds nor even cover the mattress at all. Not enough towels. Refrigerator leaked when it was refilling the ice maker.
Good: TVs were good. Grill was good (once I had them replace the gas tank). The extra drink cooler was nice. Plenty of space to eat. Great proximity to the beach.
Summary: If this house had some TLC it could be really good. But it needs work. I first started going to Kiawah IS in 1978 and watched it grow and develop over the years. Great place! Our favorite island. This house was simply not up to Kiawah’s standards.

Property was nice but not as close to beach and Night Heron park as we thought. Listing had said 4 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms and it is actually only 3.5 bath. Didn’t notice this later in the listing until after we arrived.

The location of this house can’t be beat! A quick walk to the beach or an easy bike ride to the pools makes it perfect for families.
The house has an updated kitchen complete with plenty of seating to eat your meals at. The bedrooms and bathrooms were updated and comfortable. The living room could use a touch more seating however. Loved all the games stocked in the house.
Check in and resort privileges were great. A few minor housekeeping things but overall a great stay!

Our family - klds and grandkids - shared the Christmas holiday on Kiawah Island. We chose to rent this property because it appeared to be able to accommodate family dinners and get togethers....we were not disappointed. The home is very well equipped, spacious, clean, and very comfortable. Location was excellent and we would most definitely stay here again.

Great house and lots of bedrooms. We stayed with some friends and our kids had a great time. It is a beach cottage and in overall good condition. The property manager/owner is great and is wonderful to talk with regarding any issues with the property.

We have been coming to Kiawah every summer since 2013 and have stayed in a variety of homes, villas, and cottages. We enjoyed our stay in this home, with a few caveats.
First, I will say this is by far the best value of all of the rentals we have tried. For the same price as a small 3 bedroom cottage, we really enjoyed all of the space offered by the 4 bedroom house.
The bunk room on the second floor was perfect for our group and allowed for some more peaceful rest for the adults staying on the first floor. The kitchen was nicely appointed and we appreciated some basic things (like a properly vented stovetop) that other rentals often lack.
The close walk to the beach was great, and it wasn't too far from either of the pools. The owner was very pleasant to deal with--quick to communicate and went above and beyond to help us out.
We did run into a couple significant maintenance issues during our stay that required a fair amount of time to address, but both were eventually fixed and the owner was very helpful in getting the resort maintenance to attend to the issues. Our biggest complaint was the uncomfortable and inadequate furnishings in the living room. There was only seating for 6 at best, and none of it was all that pleasant to sit in. The adults ended up sitting around the kitchen table most of the time, which was fine but not what we would have liked.
Still, I would definitely recommend this rental to any family look for some space to spread out but still be close to the beach and all of the resort activities.

We had a great time at this house, it was very close to the beach. Being able to use resort amenities was a huge plus. Greg was probably the most responsive property owner I’ve ever rented from.

We so enjoyed our trip to Kiawah and the home was perfect

Had a great time! Love the location! Easy walk to the beach. Updated kitchen and bathrooms and comfortable beds. Cleanliness of property was below expectations for a Kiawah resort property . Screened in porch could use some TLC.

This is the best home we have rented in Kiawah to date. The layout is wonderful for a family (we have 4 kids) as well as being comfortable and clean. The screened in porch plus the pool makes it perfect. My kids loved the games and books provided by the owners!

This home was extremely spacious uncomfortable. My daughter has been to Kiawah previously and suggested a VRBO property with three bedrooms two how's my husband and I and their family would too grandsons 8 + 11. This was our first time with a VRBO and things couldn't have worked out better. The owner Greg was in constant contact with us through our personal email as well as VRBO messaging to ensure our stay was perfect. We did order six bikes which was probably our most favorite part you did not need to get in your car to drive anywhere it was all buy bike. The bikes were there before we arrived and we're gone the morning we left. There is a TV in every bedroom family room including going up the stairs so that anyone dining could engage and their own TV show. the proximity from the house to the beach entrance number 12 is no more than a 90-second bike ride this enabled our grandsons to get off of the beach and back home with an outdoor shower all by themselves. The management company that supports the property was very attentive.
Our only issue we encountered was upon check-in. Our contract did state 4:30 p.m. and we did not get in until after 6 p.m. It would be more helpful if the management company had contact information pushed out via text or email to the renters that they are running behind or that their property was ready. We had taken the time upon arrival to do all of our grocery shopping so at 4:30 we could just unload and relax. To be fair this had nothing to do with the actual property we rented there were many unhappy arrivals at registration check in.
Other than that we would highly recommend this property in particular to any family that has multiple children or grandkids there are 3 additional bedrooms: a king and a queen in each of the other rooms. The large upstairs bedroom has a bunk bed, a queen and a twin bed easily able to sleep 5.
A true Little treasure and we certainly will be back and would not even consider looking at another property!
Just a quick shout-out to Patty Porter. After we got back home our youngest grandson left his stuffed polar bear and was inconsolable. Greg had reached out to his property management people gave me a phone number and somehow with the grace of God, came Patty. She was able 2 locate poor Polie and made arrangements to send him back to us. Patty Porter us our Super Hero who went above and beyond and should be recognized for her commitment to the highest level of excellence
