Our family of 21 had an amazing week at Villa Encantada (also know as Villa Tranquila). Elsa, Eugene and Sary were great to work with. They all did everything possible to make sure we had a fantastic vacation! What a treat to have a personal chef that prepared such wonderful meals! All of the bedrooms were clean, spacious and very comfortable. A real highlight of the house was the huge pool that we all enjoyed. One unexpected bonus was that the pickleball courts were only a few minute’s walk from the house. There was strong WIFI all over the huge house. We highly recommend this Villa!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The house is huge and meticulously maintained. I was there with 16 of my close friends and everything was seamlessly carried out from check in, shuttles, food, and golf cart drop off. The chef, Didi, was phenomenal and easily made meals for my friends who have certain food restrictions. Our rooms were cleaned daily and fresh beach/pool towels were given daily. We are sad to be leaving this beautiful resort and country.

We had a family reunion for my mom's 85th birthday here and were so grateful we found this location. Eugene and Sary were wonderful hosts and went above and beyond to make our stay easy and enjoyable. The Chef, Didier, is very warm and a wonderful cook as well - I would highly recommend staying in for all your meals. Eugene and his wife buy the groceries each day and Didier cooks and cleans - all you need to do is enjoy this beautiful location. Eugene is very responsive and was helpful with other items too - like sunscreen and birthday cake with a very cool Costa Rican candle. They even bought us champagne for the birthday dinner. Every detail is taken care of.
The location is very quiet, with some fun iguanas, monkeys, and birds visiting. There's easy access to a private beach, bike rental place, beach club, and more. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely go back. This place was a total treat!

We had a wonderful time at Villa Tranquila. Eugene and Sary were super helpful and always available by phone. Didier the chef was amazing! Each meal was delicious and he accommodated easily for our gluten free person. The outdoor space is great to hang out - plenty of shade if you want it. With each couple having their own suite, everyone had plenty of space. Pickle ball, tennis, bike rental and golf office just a quick walk away. Highly recommend Villa Tranquila

We were a group of 12 adults there to vacation and celebrate my husband’s 50th birthday. The entire experience was first class from beginning to end. The chef cooked our breakfasts and dinners for 7 nights. Everything was delicious and timely. Eugene and Sary ran around purchasing our alcohol and food. Elsa booked all of our shuttles and excursions. Anything we wanted we got. Friendly and attentive. The property was perfect for our group. The beach is a 30 minute walk. The JW is a nice place to walk to for a drink. You can rent bikes and ride around the grounds. It’s a wonderful place to spend your vacation. Tamarindo beach is about a 30 minute shuttle ride. We will return!

Went here with a group of 19 people for a bachelorette and I’m so glad we picked this place. From the moment we booked the house, Elsa has been such a helpful resource. She’s very knowledgeable, friendly, and answers quickly. Planning every part of the trip for a big group went so smooth with her help! The hosts, Eugene and Sari, were very welcoming and accommodating in this big beautiful home. They were available whenever we had a question, gave their recommendations, and even helped us out when we needed some groceries. Every meal that the chef made was so delicious, we really didn’t have to go out to town for good food! He was a pleasure to have around during our stay and also considerate of any special requests we had such as a very early breakfast or vegetarian options. If there were any recommendations for improvement, we just wished the wifi was better. There were times it didn’t work at all, and when it did, it would only work in some rooms. Nevertheless, our stay was wonderful and we had so much fun. Thank you all so much for making this trip memorable!

We absolutely loved this property. The ensuite rooms give you the privacy you need if you want to go off and be by yourself. The kitchen area and the back are great for communing with everyone. Eugene and his wife were always available to us by phone. We really appreciated all that they did for us and they are extremely accommodating of our needs. One of the best things was our cook, Didiair!!! He was magnificent. We could not have gotten better service or food anywhere else, and the daily cost was definitely good for all the food that he served us. Thank you and we hope to see you again one day soon!!

Awesome layout and property management
Fantastic home for our group of 16. The managers were helpful and available whenever needed.. The layout was well thought out and the back patio with pool was a great place for entertaining. Our cook Didier was fantastic. Fresh fruit and salsa was available at all times. I highly recommend this place for large gatherings.

Eugene and Sary are incredible hosts.! Every one of the 8 bedrooms in this giant house has a sitting room with a sofa bed, giant bathrooms, and a nice porch or balcony. The house pool is lovely, even nicer than the photos show. The house has daily housekeeping AND a wonderful cook for 3 meals a day included in the cost of the house. The gated community (not as pretentious as it sounds) is thousands of acres with tons of trails, birds, monkeys, reptiles, bugs, and cows that think fencing is a suggestion. Speaking of bugs - shut off the outside lights at night for the best experience with few bugs. There are adorable web-fingered geckos on the house at night. Also, a golf course, a beach club w/restaurant, and a gym $10 day for all it credits your tab for food or beverage. Our 11 adults all give the place a 10 of 10. We ARE going back to this huge house!
It is about 30 miles from the airport (LIR), but the drive is 80-90 minutes. Renting a car is best for flexibility. It's an easy rise except for one road towards the end of the trip that has craters – it's entertaining!

Superb few days at Villa Tranquila
Phenomenal time! We brought friends and family to Villa Tranquila, hoping for several days of relaxing times at the pool with some trips to the beach and local activities. Really could not have asked for a better stay.
The folks from Stay in Tamarindo were very helpful and accomodating. We were able to set up van rentals for our arrival, helped us with a few adventure trips during our stay, and just generally made sure everything was going well. Mariam was especially helpful. Eugene, Sary, and the rest of the kind people at Villa Tranquila went above and beyond to make this a memorable visit. There were very few issues, but if anything came up, Eugene and Sary were available to help right away. Can't say enough how much we enjoyed our time at Villa Tranquila. The food was wonderful each and every day, the house was beautiful and clean throughout, and the kids had a lot of fun with the iguanas in the area.
The complex itself feels very safe, and the beaches are wonderful. All in all, a dream vacation.

Gorgeous Property -- Be sure to witness the Playa Langosta sunsets!
Our group of 15 had a wonderful stay, this past June, at Villa Tranquila. The pool area is relaxing but the private beach is a must. The waves were perfect for jumping and the sunset was magnificent every evening. The property managers go above and beyond to make sure your stay is perfect. I recommend taking advantage of the grocery service ahead of time. You'll save time and money. I also recommend renting a couple of golf carts to get around the community. The meals that were prepared for us during our stay were amazing. The common areas of the home are great for visiting, playing cards, dancing, eating, etc. Each suite has its own balcony or patio, which is a beautiful touch. (Just make sure you unlock the door before going out! ;-) We loved the fact that we were close enough to the city to enjoy some shopping, but had the luxury of going back to our private retreat without any neighbors to disturb. Before our 4 night stay at Villa Tranquila, we stayed 4 nights near the Arenal Volcano. Both areas of Costa Rica are beautiful, but in very different ways. We wanted to give our family a taste of both. At this point, I believe, everyone is looking forward to returning. :-)

Our stay at Villa Tranquila was amazing! Property Managers Eugene and Sary were also amazing! They went out of their way to make sure our stay was great. We had a family wedding and they helped navigate our event including flowers, cake, food suggestions and more. The food that was prepared for us was delicious. Cooks made local Costa Rican cuisine. All of our guests raved about the food. The cost of food was more affordable than expected. The house accommodated our 23 guests easily and we had room for more. It was at a good location, access to a great beach, golf course, mountain biking and lots more. We took a fishing charter and our cooks prepared the fish we caught. We plan to come again.

The Hacienda Pinilla location was perfect for us; close enough to Tamarindo and far enough from Tamarindo. In fact, there was so much to do at the villa and nearby beaches, we seldom ventured from Hacienda Pinilla. The overall level of service provided by Eugene and Sary was unparalleled and very much appreciated. The cooking staff was skilled and accommodating. Everything was superb! The house is a wonderful blend of private space and large areas to hang out as a large group. The house is beautiful as the pictures show and there were bikes to use to get around the local area. Our Family Reunion was Amazing
Our family of 24 (ages 2 to 63) had the most amazing experience staying at Villa Tranquila. Eugene gave us ideas of what activities to do. We spent time at the Beach Club, Hacienda Pinilla's private beach -which was our favorite, Playa Conchel where some of us went out on Wave Runners, and one day was spent at Ponderosa Adventure Park. We had 8 children under the age of 10 and Ponderosa Adventure Park was geared to their level of activity, but was also geared to this 63 old who had never been zip-lining before and was very skeptical.
Eugene and Sari were extremely helpful. Our daughter was ill before arriving in Costa Rica and the day after we arrived felt like she was worse, we called Eugene and he took her to a near by medical clinic. Staff members Kimberly and Anna were also great to work with and helped make our stay at Villa Tranquila most enjoyable.
We had 5 - 5 years olds on the trip and all of them said we don't want to go home. Upon returning one of the 5 year old said to his mom - "I don't want to go to LegoLand, I want to go back to Costa Rica". That is how we all felt- Truly Awesome experience.

We stayed at Villa Tranquilla from Dec 23. 2017-Jan 6, 2018 and had an amazing time. This was our 2nd time at the Hacienda Panialla which we chose because of the golf and beach club. The house did not disappoint! It was a pleasant surprise to arrive on the 23rd and see the updates that Eugene and Sari had done to the house. It was freshly painted and the brand new linens and towels were a treat!! The house was perfect for our family of 12. We all had our own space when it was needed! Eugene and Sari were wonderful. They were available to answer any questions we had during our 2 week stay and even arranged to have people come to the house for massages. Everyone loved that!! My mom was struggling to get into the beds at night and when my dad mentioned that to Eugene...he showed up the very next day with stools for all of the bedrooms. It was really nice to have housekeeping every day. She did a wonderful job and stayed out of everyone's way. The house is 2 minutes away from the club house so it made it very easy to access the golf course. It is a little secluded, but not such a bad thing when you want some peace and quiet!! The pool was beautiful. It helped that we backed onto the 18th hole and the landscape is amazing at the back of the house!! The house also has access to a private beach. The kids loved that beach!! Along with the house we had access to the Beach Club. We spent about 3 days there. It was nice because it had a restaurant so we could grab a quick lunch if needed. It cost $10/day/person but they deduct that cost from any food or bar tab you run up. We used several chefs during our stay. Pascal and Camille (Pascam Private Chef) and Chef Frank from Belly Fedbetter were amazing. They took care of everything for us each night they were there. The food was amazing!!! Overall, the house exceeded our expectations. Everyone had a fantastic time! It was tough to leave such a beautiful place!!

Our stay was a 5 star experience! There were 23 of us in total, all family from young to old. Everything from the Villa, the staff, concierge, drivers, housekeepers and most importantly Eugene and Sary were amazing!!! Eugene made our trip that much more enjoyable. He made sure everything was always perfect and even drove us into town one night after 8pm for dinner. We would definitely highly recommend and stay again! (We stayed from August 8-15) THANK YOU to everyone at Stay in Tamarindo!

21 ladies for 5 was an AWESOME experience! We loved every minute of our stay... From the caretaker Eugene, he was there to help us with anything we needed. The housekeeping was on point daily. We loved Costa Rica and the Villa was more than we could have asked for. There was plenty of room for our large group of 23 comfortably. I would recommend this villa for any one looking for a safe and scenic place to go for vacation. We were able to do zip-lining, an ATV tour, a Palo Verde rain-forest tour, horseback riding, massages and a animal safari which the kids loved. Since we were located on the 18th hole it was only fitting that we gold as well. Cristina helped me plan and arrange everything which made the trip so easy for us and she even arranged for a vehicle to be delivered to the villa to get around. Eugene was excellent the entire trip, he made sure we had everything we needed and even took us on a tour of the property so we knew where everything was located. We had the entire week catered by Gusto Tamarindo, Francesco and his team were amazing. The food was excellent and all made with all fresh local ingredients. We cannot wait to return to Villa Tranquila.

Most amazing vacation ever!
Eugene and Sary are such amazing hosts. They are so kind and professional. They helped us with every detail of our vacation. The property was unreal! The pictures don't do it justice. It was fantastic in every way possible. The private beach was by far our favorite part of the experience. The wild life around the house was amazing. Howler monkeys, iguanas and tropical birds everywhere. It was by far our favorite vacation yet! Thank you so much Eugene and Sary. Rich
