We booked Tom’s place for a week with our two adult children, their souses, and our 2 YO grandson, as we wanted to check out Kiawah Island for the first time. We couldn’t have been more pleased! Tom reached out about a month before our stay to provide information about check-in and offered a number of recommendations based on our interests. The house was beautiful, the perfect size for all of to enjoy meals together and have space to ourselves when needed. The kitchen was very well equipped which was much appreciated since we cooked five dinners in! We loved the deck, watching the golfers, the walk to the beach, and seeing so many alligators! The island is very private, quiet, and full of wealth. We kayaked in the river and enjoyed riding bikes on the paved trails. We had one of our most relaxing weeks in a long time! We would highly recommend Tom’s place to any family looking to stay on Kiawah Island!

We had a wonderful time at this beautiful Kiawah home. It is tastefully decorated and updated. Having 4 en suite bathrooms is very convenient for a big group. The kitchen is fully stocked and the house has everything you need for a good beach day including chairs and bikes. The scenery from the deck is amazing. I highly recommend this rental.

The house has been updated since the pictures listed on vrbo. The couches were new and very comfortable. The eating area was substantial for the family. The kitchen had new tile and a large, new island. Very pleasant.

We were so pleased with our week stay in this beautiful property! It was clean, well appointed, so comfortable, spacious, nicely decorated, … I could go on and on. The location to beach was great! Tom was so kind and informative about places to go to, bike rentals, and even checked in with us to see how things were going! My family would love to go back!

We came to Kiawah Island for a golf tournament and were lucky enough to rent this wonderful house for two weeks. This house had everything we needed and was close to all of the golf courses and beach. The house was clean and very comfortable for all six of us. Tom was very accommodating and just a wonderful host. We would definitely stay here again and hopefully we can come back in the future. It's now one of our favorite places. Thank you so much Tom!

This property was exactly what we were looking for for our family vacation! 8 of us fit more than comfortably into this home. The age range in our group spanned from 1.5 to 66. The only complaint about our experience is that the pillows were too soft on the beds. If that is the only complaint I can think of, it was clearly a wonderful experience staying at the property.
Tom was the most fantastic owner that I have had the pleasure to rent from. He called before our check in to let us know about various items that he already had at the home so we didn’t have to bring them which saved us a huge headache. High chair, beach wagon, the list goes on. He was also very communicative. I had texted him to let him know about a deck board that was starting to go bad and he responded in a very timely manner that he would have it looked at.
From the deck back deck, we experienced a wide variety of the local wildlife. Deer in the yard, alligators in the pond, egrets & lizards. If you enjoy watching the wildlife, the back deck on this property is the place to be with a large cup of coffee.
The walk to to beach was less than 10 minutes. The house was stocked with beach gear. Toys, chairs, umbrellas and we left a volleyball for the next family to enjoy. The grocery store was less than 10 minutes by car.
If I was to ever plan another family vacation to Kiawah, I couldn’t imagine renting from anyone else or staying anywhere else.

We spent 3 weeks on Kiawah at 10 Greensward Rd! We really didn’t know what to expect but Tom is wonderful, responsive and detail oriented. The house offered every amenity you need to make your visit feel like home! There wasn’t anything we didn’t find in the kitchen and for the beach. The location is perfect for beach lovers, and it’s close to Freshfields and golf! Definitely would return for a future visit!

Our vacation was a wonderful experience. A few rainy days due to Ian, but the living space very comfortable and spacious for 7 adults. The kitchen was well equipped for eating dinners in and very close to the beach when the sun did come out! We would definitely recommend this property. Thank you Tom!!

Me and my children had a wonderful time at this property. I have children ranging from eight years old to 26 years old and this house was well of quipped for all ages. The bathrooms in every room was such a blessing especially when we came in from out long day at the beach. In the garage there were beach chairs, beach umbrellas, a couple of bikes and beach carts as well as beach toys. The owner Tom was easy to communicate with and very friendly and helpful. I couldn’t have asked for a more perfect week to share with all my kids. You won’t be disappointed with this house

Beautiful
This home was perfect for our family vacation. Plenty of space for all of us. Quick ride to beach. Loved the air conditioned sun room off of the dining room! Owner, Tom, is friendly, accommodating, and always available for any questions. We saw deer, an alligator, and an armadillo right from the property. We are very willing to make a repeat stay at this home on awesome nature filled Kiawah Island!

2nd year, great like the first.
Had a great 2nd year stay at 10 Greensward. Hadn't believed we could get in it, again, but it was available for us. House was in great condition, and ready to go for us when we arrived, late on Saturday. New Living Room furniture was very comfortable. Thanks for putting so much into the house for our vacation. We hope to return, again!

Great time had by all
We had such a great time. There were 4 couples all over the age of 65. There was plenty of room for us all. It was a great gathering place, but there was room to get away if you needed private time. Would love to go back.

Great place and great communication
Can’t say enough about this house. We loved everything about it. The owner called a week or so before our trip to see if we had questions, called when we got there to see if check-in went okay, and answered my call when I need help with something. Great location with a view of the golf course and a pond.

A new house to try, and glad we did.
Rather than go to a home we'd previously rented for a week, we chose to take on this one.
Had a great stay in this property. Mr. James was very attentive, and helpful with all pre-arrival communications. The home was fresh and had no musty smells from other homes we'd rented on Kiawah Island. We had lots of space to spread out (7 of us). Owner takes care to have a mosquito mitigation company come to the property to spray for mosquitoes! We were there 9 - 15 May 2021, so there were a few 'skeeters, but it was nice to see the company spraying. up-to-date appliances. Dishwasher was so quiet, it was hard to tell if it was running!
Plenty of driveway parking. We had 2 cars, and had no trouble getting in and out. Our week there was week prior to 20 - 23 May Pro Golfers Association event. Lots of activity before getting through the gate, but once through, it was like a normal week on the island.
House had bikes, fishing poles, beach chairs, and a couple of wagons for hauling items to beach, and 2 stroller-trikes for toddlers. We didn't use those, but we did take beach-chairs to beach for an hour on the Friday of our stay. Was too cold to remain out very long, mid-afternoon.
We had a couple of questions through the stay, and Mr. James was quick to respond to texts. He called us on our arrival-day, too, to check on our trip down, and if the house was ok. It was better than we expected!

Our stay at this home couldn't have been more perfect. The house is large, beautiful, and well-stocked with everything you could need; Tom is an extremely kind, helpful, and responsive host; and the location on the island is fantastic. The house is on a very quiet residential street that is easy to get to; it is a beautiful 7 minute walk to the beach on a path, and has a gorgeous view of a pond and golf course from the back deck. The beds were very comfortable, everything was sparkling clean, the master bedroom and bath have been recently updated (as have other rooms, such as the kitchen and another downstairs bathroom), and overall the house is even more lovely and updated than the pictures on the site show! The garage has lots of beach chairs, toys, a jogging stroller, beach cart, and more for your use; the dual thermostats (upstairs and downstairs) ensured that everyone was comfortable temperature-wise...truly everything was thought of and taken care of.We rented bicycles and spent many hours exploring the beautiful bike paths around the island; rented kayaks from the Sanctuary and had a lovely 2-hour paddle from Mingo Point, and enjoyed a day going into Charleston. It was truly a perfect stay...we will be back. Thank you, Tom!

Perfect for us
Tom was an attentive host. His well stocked home was perfect for our family. We enjoyed each bedroom having a bathroom, the location, and being on a lagoon. There was a tiny gator that stayed close-by and we would go looking for her daily. Another plus was the openness of the living area so whoever was in the kitchen was still included in activities.

Overwhelmed
We could not possibly express how very amazing our visit here was! Early communication w/ owner that was prompt and sincere, answering all our questions, immediately assured us we were working with a friend we simply hadn't met yet. The home was beautiful; pictures do not do it justice! It was spacious but comfortable, immaculate but livable and had so many 'extras' that made our stay so comfortable. We had some very special family time here and plan on returning as soon (and as often) as we can!
