Grant’s Lummi Island cabin was the perfect setting for some much needed rest and relaxation. The spacious deck provided a perfect backdrop for meals, lounging in the sun and afternoon naps. The hot tub was a favorite, as was his well stocked kitchen. Grant was a gracious host, always available to answer any questions or offer suggestions. I will definitely return to his place.

We spent 3 days here and it was amazing.

Grant's place is amazing. Perfect setting to get a little time away to relax, especially in the outdoor soaking tub! The flowers and garden are beautiful, the kitchen has everything you need, and Grant gave great instructions about everything for the house and the island. I hope to come back again!

Very quiet, private location. Cabin has lots of wood in the interior to make it cozy, and a nice big deck. It is clearly a labor of love for its owner, Glenn.

This was the recharge my husband and I needed, very peaceful. The view from the balcony is amazing and the soaking tub is awesome!

Covered hot tub, a little shed keeps the rain off and has a window looking out over some trees.
Heads up it is heated by a wood fire, we found this delightful, some may not :)

Property was excellent the first time we stayed 3 years ago, with the upgrades made by owner, grant, and there one on one service in every detail made us what to stay longer. We will use this property again.

Our stay in Grant’s island hillside cabin was wonderful! What a treasure this spot is. The cabin and grounds are charming and beautiful. I love that this is a unique place with a welcoming Home feel- no stark white/gray boring cookie cutter feels here! Uppity folk probably not well suited(you know who you are lol) Lots of stairs inside and out (as listed) so make sure that is accessible for everyone in your party.
Grant is kind and very helpful, our check in was great with tidbits info we could make use of during our stay. The wood stove is gorgeous and easy to use with plentiful wood provided. Our elderly dachshund loved that part the most. The cedar hot tub is glorious. The kitchen is very well stocked with spices, utensils and cookware. Views all over and the Quiet was really enjoyed. This was a memorable trip for our little fam. Thanks Grant!

Absolutely fantastic place. The home is very well thought out and is so charming and cozy. I can’t say enough good things about Grant or his property. I am a little hesitant to talk it up too much only because I want it to be available next time I have vacation time. Thanks!

this property is in a quaint town, very private. The cabin is quite outdated. Old cushions and blankets/decor.
The stairs going upstairs are steep and narrow, but manageable. The outside could use some landscaping and leveling out.
The host was great and personable. I didn’t hate the stay but will not rent again for the price.

Great little getaway for my wife and I to celebrate our 10. year anniversary. Grant was just the right mixture of available to help us get settled and absent for our privacy. Thank you, Grant!

My wife and I brought our 2 dogs out to Lummi Island for a 5 day, 4 night stay over the 2023 Christmas holiday and it was such a wonderful escape from the holiday madness.
It was an easy ferry ride and brief trip to the cabin once on the island and Grant was there to meet us and show us all the particulars for his charming vacation home. He had a fire roaring in the wood burning stove and the place was quite cozy upon arrival.
The highlight of the cabin was the cedar wood hot tub for sure, it was lovely to be able to soak and enjoy the atmosphere while being shielded from the rain outside. All amenities were as described and all members of our family were happy throughout our stay.
There were a few times when Grant had to stop by the property to deal with a few things but always notified us that he was coming and was able to tend to his needs without disturbing us.
Highly recommend this rustic style getaway on this charming little island!

The cabin looks just like the pictures, a labor of love by Grant. He was very friendly, accommodating and had good suggestions. We enjoyed our alone time together to celebrate my husband’s birthday for the weekend. It was secluded, the view from the master bedroom is amazing in the morning and the fireplace in the living room gets nice and warm (lots of firewood available thanks to Grant). It was a beautiful and unique experience that we will treasure!

This place was exactly what I needed. It’s off the beaten path, super quiet and the views are spectacular. The fire place was awesome. Very little wood needed to warm the entire house, some times it was a little too warm but we figured out the perfect amount to keep it cozy. We just spent the couple days we were there playing games and cards while listening to classical music and relaxing, while also unplugging from the world around. It was the best experience I have ever had in using someone’s home for a vacation. Grant was awesome and very responsive when the hot tub wasn’t working properly. Found out there was an electrical issue or something keeping the pump from running, but it didn’t make or break the trip. It was a mighty I wasn’t upset about losing out on. Over all it is definitely worth checking out this place! It be weary as it is very woodsy and quite “off grid” and it is most definitely not for everyone. However it is right in my wheel house!!! Will definitely be making another trip up that way to Grant!!!!! Thank you for making our mini vacation so awesome.

My wife and I, along with our dog, spent four nights in this charming cabin. Upon arrival, we were greeted by the owner who guided us into the driveway, which is a bit tricky the first time, and helped carry our bags into the house. He then gave us a brief but necessary tutorial on several aspects of the cabin and then he left.
The cabin itself is quirky and fun with lots of interesting details strewn throughout. In the colder months, you can expect to dress in warm clothes when inside, even with the wood burning stove going all day and night. We really enjoyed the wood burning stove and the owner provided plenty of kindling and firewood for our entire stay. The hot tub was a treat. The water was clean and hot. We used it multiple times. Even though it was quite cold, we enjoyed sitting outside in the evenings, enjoying the quiet and starlit sky.
Around the island there are several nature preserves where you can enjoy short but pleasant walks.
The bed we stayed in was comfortable and plenty warm when underneath the covers. We brought our own pillows to supplement the ones provided which turned out to be a good idea for us.
The kitchen has everything one might need to prepare a meal. We prepared all of our meals while we were there without any issues.
On the whole, the cabin is as advertised. It actually looks better in person than in photos. There were no issues for us with insects or pests of any kind. In fact, we didn't see any at all in the five days we were there.

We had a great time at the property, it was peaceful retreat, despite the rain. But it added to the charm. Nice fireplace and a very awesome hot tub too!

This is a rustic cabin - older furnishings, typical cobwebs and dirt that come with being a rustic cabin in the mountains. The hot tub was a major selling point for us, and why we booked this location, and it did NOT disappoint. Quiet, beautiful, serene. There's a TV but we weren't tempted to turn it on even once. And our dog LOVED it! Great location with amazing view of the water, forest, and mountains in the distance. Great place to escape.

Girlfriend and I were looking for a calm weekend out of the city and a big kitchen to do some cooking in. The wood burning heater was so comfortable. This place was perfect. The hot tub was a wonderful.

We visited Lummi for the first time to celebrate our anniversary and stayed at Grant’s charming and unique house. We appreciated his thoughtful introduction and enjoyed the tour. The small details all over the property were of particular delight to us, and provided inspiration for our own homestead. I loved all the seating nooks both in and out of the house. (We also met a friendly local dog while enjoying the trails out back!) The outdoor shower and hot tub were fantastic! We look forward to coming back for a longer stay.

This location was perfect for a relaxing weekend. Sitting on the porch or the hot tub and enjoying the view of the water was so worth the trip. This place is charming and unique and Grant was a great host who was ready to help in anyway.

A fantastically private cabin with an amazing natural hot tub all with supreme privacy.
The cabin is rustic and could use a deep cleaning, but it's clear it's been cared for over the years and well-loved. If you can appreciate the charm of a cabin in the woods and the seclusion it offers this place is for you.

We thoroughly enjoyed our 2nd stay at Grant's house on Lummi!! The peace and quiet of the neighborhood is so serene that it feels like we've gotten a month's break from our everyday routine in just 3 days. We biked and hiked, grilled and soaked in the hot tub. Dinner at The Beach Store Cafe is always delicious as well. Our poodles felt as much as home as we did on the property and got a brief visit from a local dog friend! Grant is a pleasure to work with and genuinely cares that we have a pleasant stay every time!

We had a great time at this cabin. My wife, and two adult kids. The location had a wonderful deck with a nice view. The cabin was setup as a lived in space, not just a rental. The host was very gracious and helped with making us feel at home. Thanks

Grant is a wonderful host--helpful, informative, available but not intrusive. The cabin is as pictured--rustic, comfortable in a tranquil setting. So pleasant to hear nothing but birds! The only issues for us were the steep road and weird driveway. We were looking for a stress-free getaway and, other than the driveway, we got just what we were looking for. Thanks, Grant!.

My husband and I loved staying here. A beautiful view from the kitchen, deck and living room. Unique touches all throughout the house. Well stocked kitchen. Would definitely come back!

Alas, our visit was cut short. We had planned for a two-day getaway with another couple, but illness made them bow out. Instead, we stayed only one night.
We found the cabin to be a delightful retreat. It is on a forested hill. Neighbors are out of view and the only audible sounds were from the birds in the trees. We could see water and the Cascades through the trees. It is a great place to go to disconnect, read, write, or just enjoy being away from the traffic and crowds of Seattle.
The cabin was by no means "fancy," but it had everything needed. It was very clean. The kitchen was ready for a real cook. The respite was short, but appreciated.
Due to our short stay, we did not make dinner at the cabin, but instead went to the Beach Store Cafe. It was the only dining choice on the island, but it was outstanding. Again, not fancy, but a great place to go for a locally produced beer and an expertly prepared meal. Fresh made pizzas, burgers and salads anchor the menu, but we took advantage of the fish and chips option and the house special, which was a pasta dish with local garden-fresh vegetables. Perfect!
The host was kind and accommodating. Though I did not expect or ask for it, we got a partial refund for our shortened stay.
