Amidst the busyness of graduation weekend, it was wonderful to have a quiet place to rest in between activities; sit by the river and listen to the birds. We saw beavers, fish jumping, bald eagles, and were able to take the kyaks out for an evening paddle. Generous provision of amenities (coffee, snacks included) and linens. So appreciated Carolyn's flexibility with our changing plans, including adding a baby to the mix (who enjoyed the toys provided)! This is our 2nd time here and we hope to come back next time we visit our son.

This was my third stay at Eagles Nest and I loved every minute. Carolyn and Doug are great hosts and all around nice people. I got to see the pair of bald eagles that live in the neighborhood several times during this visit. This is the perfect get away spot if you want peace and quiet and a good location for anything you’re doing in the Spokane area.

Spent a week at Eagles Nest and couldn’t have been happier. The location is perfect for me for a number of reasons and the setting is beautiful. This was the second time I stayed during the last week of October and I’ll be back again next year, for sure. Carolyn and Doug couldn’t be nicer or more accommodating. Lovely people, lovely location!

Carolyn and Doug were friendly and attentive hosts. We felt very welcomed to their lovely property. It was the perfect location for us; easy to find, only a few minutes drive to our Gonzaga student's place, yet in a quiet neighborhood. We enjoyed sitting by the river in our downtime, and fixing dinner for our son and his girlfriend. Doug made sure the grill was working for us and that we had everything we needed.
The apartment itself was cheery and comfortable in every regard, including special welcoming touches. So much better than staying in a hotel!! We hope to visit again.

It was perfect for our family of 3 adults. A bald eagle flew right by us last night! It's a daylight basement so plenty of light, it was very cozy. My husband loved the shower head. The heat is controlled from the upstairs residence but Carolyn cintacted us to make sure we were comfortable. Carolyn came out and met us and was very friendly and helpful.

The location cannot be beat! Sitting outside listening to the river go by makes the perfect backdrop for relaxing coffee in the morning or a nightcap to end the day.

I spent a very relaxing week at Eagles Nest, and will definitely be staying again. The setting is beautiful and Carolyn and Doug couldn’t have been nicer. I was alone for the first 6 nights of my stay before my husband and a friend joined me for a couple of nights. I visit the area a couple times a year and always stay at a hotel. This time I was looking for something quiet and more private where I also felt safe, and this was just the ticket. It’s not a hotel experience, but if you want a quiet, private spot with a stunning view of the Spokane river and a comfy bed to unwind and use as your base, this is a winner.

We were recently in town for a wedding and stayed at Carolyn's place. From the freshly ground coffee to the peaceful river setting, our stay was wonderful. We will definitely stay here again next time in town. Both Carolyn and Doug were great hosts.

The best VRBO experience ever!
My husband and I had the best experience during our stay. The hosts Carolyn and Doug are the most thoughtful and genuine people I've ever met. The pictures of this location do not do this place justice. Waking up to views of wild flowers and the Spokane River right out the window would never get old. I hope we get to visit again and spend more time in the river.

Beautiful River view, fantastic
We would enjoy staying there again, enjoyed time there, quiet & beautiful place. Owners were kind, friendly, checked with us if needing anything. Enjoyed sitting outside mornings & evenings. We were gone much of the days. Planes fun to watch.

Beautiful view. Loved evenings and mornings.
Bigger than expected. Convenient. Every Thing and more than we expected. Couldn’t beat the quiet neighborhood and beautiful view of the river. The eagle in the tree by the house was great and the geese on the river. Could have stayed longer.

Cozy home away from home.
This was my first time renting vs booking a hotel. I was a little nervous knowing it was an apartment and the owners would be on site. However, Carolyn and Doug made me feel instantly at ease with a brief but warm introduction and let me enjoy the Eagles Nest at my leisure. Even though the weather wasn't ideal, the property was cozy and just what I needed to unwind.

It Worked Out.
It was not perfect. little things could have been better but in the end It Worked Out Fine. Will MSG owner privately, hopefully these little tweaks will be worked out for you. I did like the little kid table with 2 chairs tucked away. You wont get that in a hotel. kids loved the toys they had. There was enough to like about this rental space and would rent again. The price is about right and I know what to expect.

Hidden gem
This apartment was perfect for our golf getaway. The view was incredible and everything was very clean. We will definitely consider staying here again on our next visit to Spokane.

yes, there are eagles
One of the nicest stays we've booked. Pictures are accurate, hostess is very welcoming and hospitable. One can spend hours just looking at the river, watching kayakers, floaters, and the occasional beaver adding to his home. Everything works, the kitchen is equipped for fixing dinners on the patio, that does include a working BBQ. No negatives to report...

Lovely retreat with a wonderful view of the river.
This place was perfect for me. I was there because my cousin was having surgery in Spokane and I had been traveling across the country. When I arrived the owner greeted me and made sure I got settled in. Then I just relaxed outside my door with the wonderful view of the river. The owners were so gracious and even gave me a boat tour one evening. Since it was just me this time it was comforting to have them right upstairs.

We so enjoyed our stay!
We loved the view of the river below, and loved seeing the beavers. The place is so peaceful, and relaxing, it doesn't seem like you are in town. Doug and Carolyn were wonderful hosts, treating us to a boat ride, and even sharing eggs for breakfast.

Little Piece of Heaven
My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay. You are in the city, but feel like you are out in the country. It had everything we needed to make our stay enjoyable, relaxing, and fun. We spent time sitting on the dock watching the eagles, ducks, beavers, and various other birds. My husband did a little fishing in the river, but only to catch and release. We slept well in a very comfortable bed. Our son who is in the Air Force enjoyed coming over to relax on the patio watching the river below. We had everything we needed to cook breakfast and even a couple of dinners. Our hosts were very accommodating, friendly, and only a call away if we needed anything. Even though we were in their basement apartment and they were in the main house upstairs, we felt like we were at the place by ourselves.
So if you are looking for a quiet getaway, this is the place for you.
We are looking forward to staying there on our next trip to Spokane.

Pleasant surprise
Our objective was to visit our daughter and find a place near her apartment. It turned out to be a wonderful getaway hidden in the city. The
apartment was roomy and well equipped but the best part was the lovely setting, right on the river. Very peaceful and relaxing. We spent most of our time on the patio enjoying the view of the river, watching and listening to the many birds, large and small, not to mention the river bank blanketed with fragrant flowers. Our hosts were very attentive to our comfort and interests. We plan to return the next time we visit our daughter.

Gorgeous Views - Extremely Accommodating Owners!!
I can NOT say enough good things about this property!!! Owners were very kind & showed us around when we arrived. Bed was very comfortable and the home had most all amenities that you need - if you needed anything else, they were just a phone call away to help out! The views while cooking breakfast inside were breathtaking and just a few steps away out the door was even more gorgeous as you look out over the Spokane River. Homeowners always made sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. They even provided us with a cute welcome basket and access to the hot tub on the patio! I HIGHLY recommend this little gem in Spokane and if we ever are in the area again, we will definitely be staying here! Thank you for everything!!!

We had a great stay! The apartment was very clean and well appointed. We stayed with our daughters who loved looking over the river every morning. I can only hope that when we come back to Spokane we get to enjoy or stay at this beautiful place by the river.

Autumn on the river really is spectacular!
Cozy, comfy spot, nice sized, really like a one bedroom apartment, all the comforts of home. We ate out mostly but it was nice to have the kitchen area to fix breakfast, coffee, snacks, and chill the wine. Warm and friendly host, chatted briefly, but maintained our privacy.
