About this house rental

This gorgeous 5,000 square feet house built on 5 acres of nature has 8 spacious bedrooms, 4 bathrooms, 2 giant open-concept kitchen/dining areas, a fully equipped basement suite, a large playroom upstairs, giant walk-in closets, half-wrap-around porch, a fourth story loft, a deck for large groups, ample parking, and wooded acres and space full of trees and trails. Enjoy coffee or wine on the porch, fires outdoors in the fire pit in the summer and cozy fires in the wood burning stove in the winters. Enjoy letting the kids play upstairs in the huge play area (or downstairs) and loft while the adults have board game tournaments on the main floor. Cook in two kitchens, and enjoy watching movies downstairs. Don't be afraid to make noise (within reason) as the house is surrounded by woods and very private. Walk through the forest in back yard or host a capture the flag game in the field in front.

Bedroom 6: This bedroom is only accessible through the garage. The stairs are a tad steep so it is not advisable for elderly or young children. This is a giant room with a king size bed, couch, and lots of floor space. It's ideal for someone who makes a lot of noise as you cannot hear anything from this bedroom in the main house. It does have it's own heater and air conditioning unit in this bedroom as it's not connected to the rest of the house. So it can get hot in the summer if the window unit air conditioner just turned on. Also, the bathroom is in the main house, so it's a bit of a hike in the middle of the night.
Downstairs-
Bedroom 7:
King bed, queen bed
Bedroom 8: Queen bed, crib
Common area: 4 couches, a Harry Potter closet under the stairs with a single mattress, kitchen laundry room, storage room. Extra fold up table and chairs are in the storage room and closet.

We can host up to 40 people over night, but there are only conventional beds for 20. Then we have futons, couches, mattresses and box springs, pull-out couches, and mats, etc. for more people. There is plenty of space for everyone and comfy beds/mattresses, but not all in typical beds.)

RULES:
-No smoking inside
-No Pets
-No Drugs
-Sheets do NOT need to be stripped as we have a specific system for washing them and confuse sizes when they are together.
-Garbage gets brought down to the dumpster along the driveway.
-Please keep food out of carpeted rooms and areas.
-Please do not take out screens DO NOT GO ON THE ROOF, it's rather steep and not safe. Damage deposit will be forfeited if parties go on the roof!
-Close doors! There are too many bugs and wildlife around that can sneak in open doors.
-We put a fence on the West side where our property ends with "No Trespassing" signs. This marks the end of our property and the beginning of the neighbors. Please do not go on the neighbors property. Both properties on the West and East have a ponds near their property line and shooting ranges on their land. IT IS NOT SAFE TO GO ON THE NEIGHBOR'S PROPERTY. We hate to even put this in because we have tons of space on our own land, complete privacy and 99% of groups respect property lines. We have great neighbors who appreciate their private property and because of a few groups who have not respected this rule, we've asked our neighbors to immediately call the police if people are on their property.

Nothing to improve on. It was immaculate. It was perfectly stocked for our group of 31. Plenty of space indoors and outdoors. Plus some bonuses like the second kitchen, basketball court, firepit, large deck. Would absolutely stay again. Nearby coffee shop and ice cream shop were big hits with our group too.

Overall great stay. House is secluded, well equipped, and has tons of space for hanging out and sleeping. Only issue was WiFi info on Vrbo was a little out of date. Would recommend a TV on the main floor too.

A wonderful home to host a multigenerational party for our mom’s 95th bday. Plenty of room for all the adults, grands, and great grands. Beautiful yard and wrap around porch. Huge deck. The house had everything we needed. Check in was easy. The hosts were great. They made sure everything was ready for us. If you have a large group, this is the place to stay!

We found Green Lodge to be exactly as it was in the listing. The place is spacious, tons of rooms, adequate for a large crowd party. We had Christmas celebration with friends, and everyone was happy with their experience. The owner responds promptly to all inquiries and the location is so close to where we came from that we are planning to rent this place again for summer or fall getaway. Thank you! We had a splendid time!

The property was beautifully maintained and everyone had plenty of room to visit while the children played inside and outside. The neighbor’s gun range shooting was a little disruptive one evening and drove us inside to escape the noise. We appreciated the note from the owner about a family fun day at the garden center down the road and it was a fun fall afternoon for the children and adults. The house and grounds were great. The neighbor’s shooting range was the only negative.

The house was a slice of heaven out in the middle of the country side, but not too far from businesses for groceries and restaurants. Peaceful setting with plenty of room for aunts, uncles and cousins to have their own bedrooms and bathrooms. Communication with the property manager was easy and I would definitely stay here in the future.

We stayed with our 6 children & their spouses and 14 grandchildren. The concrete parking area & sidewalk was definitely put to good use as we brought bikes, scooters, & skates for the kids. The grass area for playing football and baseball wasn't as big as it looked in the pictures, but we went to Spencer Park in Demotte & usedthe big grass area there and went swimming at the park swimming pool. The kids enjoyed all the sleeping nooks! The kitchen is perfect being open to the living room as you can carry on conversation even when you are making meals. If we had any questions, they were answered quickly. Everything went pretty smoothly. Thanks for a great stay!

The house is quite spacious. Very clean. Owner is always quick to respond and flexible with our requirements. There's a big grocery store 10 mins away. With 2 kitchens, cooking is very convenient. Lots of places and beds to sleep for our group of 40.

It worked out really well for our annual family get together. The extra beds in various places were great for kid sleeping. The big deck in the back was a fun place for many activities and to be able to watch the games going on down below. The 2 kitchens were really helpful.

This place worked real well for our family reunion of 26. The yard space worked well for yard games for teenagers and 'wanna be teenagers'. Definitely needed the folding tables and chairs:) That many folks with 4 bathrooms certainly took some strategic planning, but this family has always been good at that. Thanks for a place for families from 3 states to meet and enjoy being together!

The property manager let us see the property before our rental date, so that we could make sure that the space fit our needs. We noticed that it was a pretty shabby home, all the furniture was nicked, there was lots of leftover tape on the walls, and on the ceilings from previous parties, but for the most part, it was OK. It was a large space and that’s what we needed. The day before our stay, we were expecting to get a significant amount of snow. I asked the property manager if the snow would be removed and she said if it’s over 2 inches they would have it removed. When we got there, it wasn’t. We had to have a friend with a snow plow come and plow the driveway. When I tried calling her, she did not respond for over an hour. by then it was too late. When we got there, we noticed that they had one, young person cleaning the entire house. It seemed like a lot of work for one person to complete properly. We had our event that night, and there was plenty of space for everyone. We had another event planned for the next day that we paid extra to stay over the checkout time. however, that could not occur. As we were cooking breakfast, a gurgling sound happened from one of the toilets. Next thing we know, water is pouring into the basement, and there is sewage backed up in all the bathtubs and the toilets. I tried desperately to text the owner and the property manager. I called. I texted. I kept trying to reach them. I did not have any other emergency contact numbers. We waited for
