Come enjoy some time away in this luxury home - beautifully constructed with post & beam architecture and wrapped in poplar bark siding.
Walk into the tile foyer, drop your gear and catch your breath as you notice log railings, unique timber architecture, 2-story vaulted tongue in groove wood ceiling, and open living areas. Head right out the back doors onto the secluded top deck to take in the gorgeous, panoramic mountain view.
When you step back into the house, check out our fully equipped kitchen with granite counter tops, stainless appliances, and a window to the world. The farm house table seats 10+ and there are 4 rustic bar stools at the counter. Fresh mountain air will invite you outside to eat at the huge picnic table.
In the den, imagine yourself snuggling into the generous sectional couch with a good book, or grabbing a remote and watching something on the included Netflix subscription (Roku included on all TVs!).
Walk behind the 2 story stacked stone fireplace to get to the first master bedroom with a vaulted ceiling, beautiful king sized, white pine bed, and private access to the deck. The master bath has everything you need including a Jacuzzi tub, double sinks, granite counter, tile floors and natural stone tile walk-in shower.
The second bedroom on the main level has a queen sized bed and a private entrance to a full bathroom--finished with granite and a tiled shower/bath combination.
When you look up to the vaulted ceiling, the log railing will invite you to check out the loft playroom. Here the kids will love the TV (Netflix and xBox included) and play space next to the bunk room furnished with 4 twin beds.
When you are ready, head downstairs to find the second master, another bedroom, another bathroom and the game room all with access to the expansive lower deck. This king master has a private sitting area and en-suite bathroom with a brushed stone tile shower and granite counters for the sink and vanity table. The other huge bedroom on this floor has 2 queen sized log beds and a flat screen TV.
The game room is made for hours of fun and includes a pool table ready for your tournament! Prefer a sit-down game? How about cards at the poker table? Maybe you brought DVDs, or you'd like to watch a movie on Netflix (don't forget it's included!)?
The bathroom on this level is new as of 2018 and includes granite counters and a walk in shower. This bathroom was a much needed addition as it is accessible from the entire house.
Make sure to save time for outdoor living. We have over 1,400 square feet of deck space where you will love being outdoors relaxing in the hammock, having a picnic or grilling your dinner. Don't forget to head down into the back yard, where you will find benches and a fire pit - perfect for making s’mores!
Where ever you go in our home you are going to feel welcomed, relaxed and pampered. No need to head to the store the minute you arrive--your beds are made, your towels are ready and we've got paper products and basic supplies there for you.
Note, the walkway from the driveway to the front door has only 3 stairs, so with two of the bedrooms on that main level it is ideal for people with limited mobility.
This is a small neighborhood with a large 2+ acre property which provides full privacy from neighbors without feeling isolated.
Our home is conveniently located off Hwy 105 and 4 miles to Boone, 7 miles to Blowing Rock, 6 miles to Appalachian Ski Mountain, 7 miles to Tweetsie Railroad, 12 miles to Hawksnest and about 15 miles to both Beech and Sugar Mountain with easy highway access to all. While 4WD is always recommended during winter months, it is not required for access to this home.

A perfect location and a perfect view! Close to everything and a wonderful host.

This property was perfect for our 7-person reunion. The host communication was excellent and the simple check in logistics and minimal check out procedure was great. This property is gorgeous and the home was immaculate. We cooked several meals in the well-appointed kitchen, and enjoyed the mountain view on the huge porch every day. While the feeling of the home was like that of a woods cabin, Boone is a convenient 10 minute drive. I highly recommend this property to families or groups.

It is beautiful property nestled in nature. Everything was clean and well equipped. All of the amenities were high quality.
We loved the small touches - while we did not need to use them - having reading glasses in the drawer with instructions manual was sweet and brought smile to our face.
We would definitely love to come again and recommend to this property to others.

I cannot say enough wonderful things about this property. It was a perfect location, perfect size and perfect layout for our group. The 3 levels of the home worked just right for what we needed and the house had everything we needed and more. The owners thought of absolutely everything in order to accommodate their guests. Would highly recommend and would definitely rent again. Truly stunning.

I cannot say enough wonderful things about this property and the host. 12 of us two families were traveling for the weekend and a storm was closing in. We were allowed to check in early to get there safely before roads got bad. There was a welcome basket with snacks and mints. So very thoughtful. This cabin is exactly as listed. Perfect location, well stocked with everything you would want. Ceiling fans or upright fans throughout. Hot water enough for all 12. Comfortable beds for everyone with warm and comfy bedding. Lots of towels and wash clothes for all. Pool table and game area great for adults and for kiddos.
Too much snow this time for a fire but the fire pit was very inviting. Fireplace in living room was so warm and cozy. The only bad thing was us having to leave , wish we had booked a week!! Such a wonderful trip. Thank you

we were thoroughly surprised to find the house decorated for Christmas with a tree and all. Everything needed was provided and more. We had asked several questions ahead of time and were promptly provided answers. Wonderful place to stay..

The kitchen is absolutely amazing-stocked like your own home. Dinnerware for 16, lots of silverware, and everything you can imagine in appliances and cookware. Everything we needed to prepare Thanksgiving dinner for 14!

The house was spacious and beautiful. The view from the decks were amazing. We had perfect weather to sit outside and enjoy the fall foliage. The house had everything we needed. We would book again for our daughter’s graduation in May but the house is already booked.

We have stayed at the 5 Boys Retreat several times because we simply love it! The hosts have taken time to think of every detail to make it a great stay. The kitchen is well-equipped to be able to cook meals for our family and we love the overall layout of the cabin. There's plenty of space to be comfortable while still being cozy. The views from the back porches are beautiful and the location is very convenient. It's our favorite place to stay when visiting Boone!

This was the most beautiful home. It was well appointed and had everything we needed. The beds were very comfortable and easily accommodated our group of eight. The welcome basket of snacks, and the body wash shampoo and conditioner dispensers in the bathrooms were nice touches. The tall ceilings in the lower level were phenomenal. It did not feel like a basement. The hosts were extremely communicative. Easy to get anywhere throughout the Boone/Blowing Rock area. We rent a house in the mountains twice a year for many years and this is by far the best we have rented. Highly recommend.

This property was beautifully maintained, very clean and well equipped for our stay. We enjoyed the view from the deck and being able to sit under the covered area in a rain strom was lovely. We enjoyed playing pool and making some delicious meals in the beautiful kitchen. We would definitely come back!

Serene is the word that best describes the setting - while it is very conveniently located near local activities, restaurants, etc. it is peaceful and secluded. The house is well-maintained, very clean, and has all the amenities you would want. The bedrooms were all large and comfortable. We booked only for a couple of nights as part of a longer trip visiting family in the Piedmont - our only complaint is that we didn't book a longer stay. We definitely plan to book again (for a longer stay).

We stayed at 5 boys for a long weekend with our kids and two other families – the space was wonderful, each bedroom was spacious and there was plenty of room for all three families to feel like we had our own space/weren’t on top of one another. The house was also very clean and had a well-stocked kitchen (including plastic dishes for the kiddos!), and was fully equipped to keep everyone entertained even when bad weather kept us in more than we had planned – from board games to Roku TVs to the game room downstairs, and cozy gas fireplaces. The location really can’t be beat – it’s the perfect mix of being close to things (10 min. to Boone, 15 min. to Blowing Rock) which meant easy access to grocery stores/restaurants and activities, but also let us feel like we were in a secluded retreat being up on the hill and with a lovely view out to the mountains. Was a relatively quick drive over to Grandfather Mt. and other points on the Blue Ridge Parkway as well. We were treated to a dusting of snow our last morning there, and would love to come back any season to enjoy this beautiful retreat.

Perfect is the best way to describe this home for our needs. Our four families, with children ranging from 3 to 8, had an amazing time. So much so that we didn’t want to leave for our planned activities each day. The kids enjoyed having their own space upstairs to play and hang out. The house is stocked with nearly every supply you could think of and the owners have done an excellent job of labeling things to keep it organized. Definitely follow the parking instructions or you may regret it! The driveway is steep on the one side. We plan to return next fall, if not sooner!
